Guest Reviews
- aymee (10/5): - Glad we stayed here! A Bit outdated, but super clean, friendly staff, super close and excellent location: walking distance to old town and Wenceslaus square, municipal concert hall, charles bridge. Pretty much everything!
- Mira (10/5): Positive - Hotel was clean. Room is spacious and clean, although dark and very small window that was high and not to the street.
Excellent location and reasonably priced. I definitely would recommend it to anyone.
- Mark (10/5): Great location - Lovely hotel in a perfect location
- Amin (4/5): Bad service overall - I made a reservation through the hotel for a car to pick us up at the airport and no one showed up. When I mentioned this to the person at check in I was told “that sometime happens”.
During check in our room was not available but they would not hold our luggage until the room was available (4 hours). We were given a smaller, less expensive room to the one that I reserved but charged for the larger room. No adjustment made in the rate and the only explanation given was that that was the only room available. As it was during Christmas market season it was not possible to change hotels.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really lovely hotel, great staff and fab location
- Kevin (10/5): - Overall we had a great stay. The hotel is in a very central location close to all the major attractions and public transport links. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean. Decoration was a bit old fashioned so in need of some renovating but the overall comfort was good. The only issue was the size of the pillows provided. One was too big and the other too small which was a little uncomfortable. Was also given a small bottle of wine on my birthday which was a really nice touch!
- Robert (8/5): - Nice central hotel walkable to most tourist area's, good breakfast, clean room
- Elizabeth MaryAlice (10/5): - Perfect location to walk the city.
- Jianguo (10/5): - Excellent!
- asama (10/5): Excellent hotel - Great location in city center, Republic square, walking distance to many attractions, very clean hotel, great service, nice breakfast, highly recommended.
- Heather (10/5): - The rooms were quite spacious and the breakfast was wonderful every day.
- Sheryl (10/5): Good Location for Exploring Prague - The hotel is within walking distance of the main rail station though can be a bit difficult to locate. There are substantial construction works on tramlines in the area but pedestrian access remains good. The hotel is well located for exploring tourist areas in Prague both on foot and using public transport (free for Seniors!). Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were extensive with some different options each day. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The area around the hotel offers a range of dining option as well as some small grocery stores.
- John (10/5): A four night stay exploring beautiful Prague. - Comfortable and quiet room, properly cleaned.
Excellent breakfast. Helpful reception staff speaking good English. Excellent location .Thoroughly recommended. Good value for money.
- Paul (8/5): - Convenient location for old town yet reasonably wuiet
- Alan (10/5): Superb hotel - Stayed here with 4 other friends for 4 nights. On booking I had requested 3 single beds instead of a double and a single. On arrival we discovered that this request had not been actioned. However, on raising this at reception, a new room was found immediately. Great service.
Fantastic breakfasts. Location excellent, 5 minutes from Old Town Square, 10 minutes from Wenceslas Square, 2 minutes from Metro station. No bar in the hotel but this is not a problem as there are bars within 2 to 3 minutes walk away.
Superb hotel.
- Anny (6/5): - Water cost money. No water at all in the lobby or at room. Avery thing cost money extra.
- Cheuk Yin (10/5): - It is near the shopping center, tourist attractions and underground station. The breakfast is delicious and lots of choices. The receptionists are fluent in English, nice for tourist.
- Ben (8/5): - Lovely clean hotel. Rooms are a little small
- Jenny (10/5): - Location is very good. And Kudos to the all the
staff at the housekeeping, restaurant and reception !
Keep it up!
- CHARLES (10/5): - Beautiful hotel within walking distance of everything important to us. The staff were wonderful. This was our second stay at this hotel and will be the only place we stay in the future.
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Great hotel to stay in and explore a wonderful city. From the moment we arrived to check in, the staff were friendly and courteous.
A very good selection at breakfast each morning and lovely clean and spacious rooms.
Would look to book here again when returning to Prague.
- Anitza (10/5): - We loved the room bed, pillows and blankets. All is so soft and comfortable. We loved the bed so much we even like it more than the bed in our house.
Breakfast is great, good selection of fruits, pastries, cheese, ham.
The reception is organized and provides good information on tours, currency exchange etc.
The hotel is in a very convenient location and easy to walk to the Municipality House and many stores and restaurants. Also great access to train stations.
- ROMANO (8/5): - Great stay!
- Randi (10/5): - Great location. Very walkable to main points of interest, the train station, and bus station. Plenty of dining options. The room was wonderful although the shower water pressure and temperature fluctuated at times. Great breakfast, and servjce. Highly recommend thishotel
- Javier (10/5): very nice, clear and comfortable next to center - great location, close to the city center. The places is very nice and clean and very confortable and nice rooms
- Mark (10/5): - A nice hotel with friendly and professional staff. Close to the old town square and Wenceslas square.
- Shane (10/5): - Great location, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, spacious, clean room, close to old town and shops.
- Maria Joana (10/5): - Quiet room with convenient access to the town.
- Martha (10/5): - Great location! Staff were very accommodating. Fabulous included breakfast buffet!
- krishna (10/5): - This was an easy location and great for price the breakfast was decent array of options and it was fairly quiet
They were very hospitable to us aswell
- Brian (10/5): - Perfectly located - conveniently close to sites and transportation, as well shopping (including grocery stores). Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was perfectly clean and quiet. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. The only thing that was lacking - a minor point - was that bath towels were small and thin, while the bedding consisted of a comforter that was considerably too small for the bed itself. Worth noting was the buffet breakfast provided. It was wonderful, with lots of selection. Overall, the hotel was excellent, and excellent value for the money.
- Gideon (8/5): - It was a nice and comfortable stay. Some slight criticism:
(1) The layout of the hotel, resulting in having to traverse eight corridors on the same floor to get to my room, right at the back. I realize that it cannot be easily changed.
(2) It seems like my room was not fully stocked, as there was a Pringles missing leading to the staff asking me if I ate it (which I didn't).
(3) My towels seem to have been washed even though I left them hanging (there were fresh towels the next morning). This is not eco friendly.
(4) I could not find a spoon for my food at breakfast, so I took one from next to the coffee machine. It would be nice to add a table spoon next to the fork and knife on the tables. The catering is otherwise excellent.
- Mark (10/5): Pleasant stay in great location - Great location ,nice clean rooms ,very nice buffet breakfast, warm ,tea and coffee on arrival ,would recommend, one criticism would be slight damp aroma
- Vagn (8/5): - Everything i would expect of a 4 star hotel. Breakfast slightly above norm.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Perfect
- Vickie Metz (10/5): - Personable, helpful staff! A breakfast buffet was included with lots of items. The guestroom was clean, quiet and comfortable. We loved the location, convenient to old town.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Great breakfast buffet was included with our room.
- GARY (10/5): - Large comfortable room with excellent bathroom. Close to city centre. Good plentiful breakfast with great friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): 3 night holiday break in Prague - Perfect. The location was ideal, metres from the Old Town, but out of the bustle. Room & bathroom were well decorated, spotlessly clean and the extra add ons like coffee & bathroom hygiene products were very welcome. Bed was even more comfortable than our own at home. Breakfast was well-presented, excellent variety of cooked and cold elements. Super baked goods, fresh fruit & yoghurt and a really nice array of meat/cheeses. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Faultless.
- Dagmar (10/5): - This property has excellent location for tourists, possibility to walk or take transportation anywhere.
Good and plentiful selection for breakfast.
- james (10/5): - .
- Safia (10/5): - I would say this hotel is on the heart of Prague without being too much around trafic.
It’s at a walking distance for everywhere you want to go or visit.
We stayed 6 days and walked back and forth to at least twice a day. Use a map and you’ll find out that everything is around the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): great deal, and good location - Amazing size room, and very comfortable. fantastic breakfast included.
- Beth (10/5): - My husband and I were in Prague at the end of a tour we had been staying at the Marriott which was very expensive so when our tour over we moved to hotel meteor plaza. I'm so glad we did. It was much less expensive and a very comfortable hotel with a very good breakfast. Just a block away from the Marriott which is a great location. My husband, ufortunately, got a positive covid test the day before we were to fly out and he need to stay longer. He was given a reasonable rate for 5 additional days and they really took care of him bringing him food and other things he needed.
- Lisa (10/5): - Wonderful hotel and fabulous location!!!
- Ketty (10/5): - The staff is nice and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, walking distance to almost every most see places.
- Kevin (8/5): Family trip to Prague - We stayed in this hotel Saturday ~ Monday. Arriving from the airport we headed straight to our hotel arriving an hour earlier than check in time. We was pleased to be told our room was ready and we was allowed to check in early to drop off our bags and head off to explore this wonderful city.
We dropped our bags into our room, ate the chocolate off our pillows.
Our room was a standard triple with a queen bed.
The room was large, plenty of storage and space. The window overlooked a courtyard, but we’re didn’t stay here for the window view. More the location and the short distance it is from old town square.
The receptionists were pleasant and helpful, they answered all our queries,
The breakfast buffet was great with a good selection of food, including cold cuts of meat and cheese. Cereals and the usual juices and pastries and hot dishes… bacon eggs etc.
We didn’t check the spa in the hotel, I believe it was closed during our visit.
- lee (10/5): Great place to stay - Great staff, clean rooms and easy to book and check in
- Narelle (10/5): - The rooms were spacious and amazingly comfortable, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious with a wide veriety on offer.
- Halley (8/5): - Good location
- ALEJANDRO (10/5): - The staff was amazing!!!! Super kind and very profesional. They were trying to help us out every time. It was and unforgettable experience!!!
- Alan (10/5): When going to Prague I always check the Meteor. - Excellent hotel in excellent location.
- Vyomesh (2/5): - We had to move to another Hotel on our first night. The Hotel moved us very efficiently. But the inconvenience of packing and then unpacking.
- Zubair (10/5): Comfy beds - It was amazing. The beds were super comfortable with gigantic fluffy pillows. And breakfast buffet was amazing with freshly baked pastries, eggs, juices, breads, nuts and fresh fruit. Very courteous staff. Also Smokeyberries is an excellent place to hangout till late.
- Catherinne (10/5): - The staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of options for Breakfast. The location is why I chose it.
- Laura (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Would have liked more tourist information in the lobby.
- Julian (10/5): homely hotel - We had a good time in Prague. The hotel is very central with access to all the lovely squares in the old city. close to the main train station, metro and bus and tram lines. A short walk away from the river and large shopping centre nearby.
- Joseph Pasquale (10/5): - Great location, friendly staff, clean room. Everything was as described and the breakfast was a perfect Czech selection.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay. Perfect location. - A very nice stay overall. The location was central and staff were nice. Although the hotel was in an old building its condition was great. A room by the court side would ensure even more calm and quiet. A breakfast buffet was included and was very filling. The only thing is that the doors slam shut and you can hear other people's doors from your room, other then that a very good stay at a very affordable price!
- Diane (10/5): Best Wester in best location. - The staff and the hotel were extremely nice. Very polite and helpful. This is a great hotel in a great location. Breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from. We were 2 adults and a teenager. We were never far from anywhere. Bars and shops all close by. The tower above the clock is a must. The views are amazing.
Will definitely return.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was satisfactory.
The reception staff were unable to answer any of our questions regarding the coronavurus virus restrictions.
- T (8/5): - Hotel is close to Old Town Square. Has a lot of character and modern bathroom.
- Simon (10/5): 4 nights in Prague - Excellent experience. Very comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Looking out on closed courtyard very quiet. Breakfast extensive and plentiful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Great central location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel is in a great location , 1 min walk from Black powder tower and subway , staff very friendly and helpful....
- TentMan (10/5): - Awesome breakfast! Best I’ve had in all the European hotels I’ve stayed (MANY!!!). Comfy room, modern and large bath. Most importantly, my wife was happy :)
- Lisa (10/5): - Location is excellent.10 minutes walk to Old Town and shopping areas.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was phenomenal. Plenty to see and do and restaurants around the area were very good
- Verified traveler (10/5): 2 nights in Prague in a fantastic location - Fantastic communication before our stay in coordinating the airport shuttle. Service upon arrival was friendly and quick along with suggestions for food and possible tourist services. Breakfast was very diverse and provided a range of foods from meats and cheeses to pastries and hot foods like eggs, sausage and oatmeal. Very comfortable beds and quiet rooms.
- Warren (8/5): Excellent location to explore Prague - Great location. Only problem we had was the shower. I am tall and the highest the shower would go was below shoulder height and then it wouldn't stay there but slipped down. Otherwise a great place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Well located, clean, good breakfast, friendly staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is only a few minutes away from the main square and all the shops and Christmas markets. Very helpful and friendly staff, but I would pass on the breakfast although plenty of choice some off it was not very nice.
- Eithne (8/5): - Enjoyed my stay, nice clean hotel with comfortable bed and location was great for all the local sights and shops
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Extremely convenient position accessible to main sights.
Very traditional hotel but very adequate for our needs. Quiet location.
- Kathrin (10/5): Love it - Very cozy hotel with very nice and caring staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Have stayed here several time. Overall a good experience. Pleasant staff, nice rooms and great location!
- Richard W (8/5): Fair value for money. - Perfect central location with easy access to anything a visitor might wish to do. Clearly an ‘established’ property but would benefit from a bit of updating. Super helpful staff. Breakfast presentation unappealing. However, would return.
- Diana (2/5): - Avoid this hotel. Extremely bad condition and very sure staff. The staff are mannerless.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Expedia says this is a 4 star but it is 2 star at best. Old building with very dingy rooms. Closets are really smelly. This place needs serious renovations. They don't provide any complimentary bottles of water in the room. Funny elevators where you have to climb up and down stairs despite the elevator stopping at your floor. I understand Prague is an old city and the buildings are old too, but this place isn't that will to maintained. Don't think this is a Best Western, think of it as a local 2 star hotel. Supplies in our washroom were never replenished despite asking the cleaning staff. The included breakfast is half decent but the staff there are very unwelcoming. Only plus point is the location. I would not book at this hotel again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Parking was good, breakfast was mediocre. Good location.
- Sandra (10/5): - Very close to Old Town and excellent breakfast with good variety.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great!
- Patricia (8/5): Great location - Absolutely fantastic location. Few blocks to Old Town Square and so much going on in the area. Hotel breakfast is excellent. Rooms are a little dated, but comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good spacious triple room - Very convenient to old town and decent breakfast. Room felt very cultural and good size
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Breakfast was great, staff was friendly and helpful
Location is great, close to train station and downtown
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nothing,. Every thing was excellent. Staff very helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It's a friendly, welcoming hotel 10 mins walk from main train station and less to the city. Slight grumble about my room - from 10pm to 7am there was the sound of running, dripping water (the plumbing?) which made it difficult to sleep
- Cezary (8/5): Average - Great location but the hotel seems to be dated. The rooms were very simple.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Hotel was ideally situated within a minute walk from old town square
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed their free breakfast and the functional a/c. Good location that wasn’t too far from most of old town.
- D (2/5): - The young man at reception was very helpful and friendly!
Pity the hotel is old, smells very bad, the beds are lumpy and uncomfortable, there were strange water / plumbing sounds all night long. Also the shower is very small.
- Anna (8/5): Friendly hotel in great central location - We received a warm welcome at reception and were given a map with suggestions of places to go (all walking distance from hotel) and some tour suggestions which we ended up booking one of later. The room was a bit smaller than some but had everything we needed including a fridge, hot drink making facilities, and air conditioning. The free breakfast buffet was very nice and really helpful to start the day with that. I would definitely consider this hotel if I came to Prague again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location was convenient. Not a pretty part of town. Some things I didn’t like were the bed and the pillows. For a BW Plus, at least have decent pillows. We were in room 325. I did not like having to go up 11 steps with heavy luggage. Our view wasn’t nice either. The breakfast was very good. Not sure if I would come back.
- Robert (10/5): Location - Excellent staff and great location
- TerryNaglewski (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and competent.I did have one problem. The elevator was very tiny. On the 1st day there I took the elevator up to our room There was barely room for my wife and myself and our two bags.As I was leaving the elevator the door closed on my left shoulder.Normally this would not be a problem but I had surgery on May 23rd for a rotator cuff tear.I don't know if this aggravated my condition but I wanted to make a report to Clare, the manager. I told her what happened to me and requested that she give me written acknowledgement that I told her about the incident. I did not ask her to admit blame by the hotel or accept any liability. I merely asked her to verify that I reported it to her.She refused.I am disappointed that the hotel would not even allow me to make out an accident report. Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - walking distances to the clock and bridge, esencial breakfast. Recently remodeled. Clean bathroom and room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location , just walking to main attractions in Prague
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Extremely helpful staff. The hotel was very clean and it was located just in walking distances to many central tourist points. I’ll go back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel was walking distance to old town square, Charles bridge and the castle, perfect.
I had an issue with the bathroom which was addressed promptly.
- Courtney (10/5): Great! - Wonderful stay!
