- zeke2008 (10/5): Spectacular Stay – Already Planning Our Return! - From the moment we pulled up, the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes made our whole family feel genuinely welcome. The valet greeted us with big smiles, and that same warmth hit us again at check-in with Auriane, who took such great care of us. We were lucky enough to upgrade to the Club Level, and Sheila was fantastic. She walked us through all the perks and really made us feel at home. The whole Ritz Club team, especially Trish, Brooke, and Jaime, treated us like we were part of their family. The attention to detail was next level, and the food all weekend was straight-up spectacular. The property is stunning too, with the beautiful pool, lazy river, and so many great amenities to enjoy. Our daughter loved the Ritz Kids Club and all the interactions with the pets, learning about them and doing the different activities. That Mother’s Day weekend was so wonderful. She had the absolute best time. As we were pulling away she had tears in her eyes telling us how special it was and how much fun she had. My wife also had the time of her life, feeling so recognized and appreciated as a mom, from the flowers to all the little thoughtful touches throughout the weekend. In a world that often feels so rushed, this place has a way of pausing everything and letting you just breathe, connect, and make memories that stick. There aren’t enough stars in the world for the amazing staff here. We left feeling refreshed and truly cared for. This hotel really knows how to do a family vacation right. I can’t recommend it enough!

It is so much fun at the Ritz Carlton hotel me my two kids and my wife loved it best hotel ever I will definitely stay there again! it . The food is awesome service is awesome and I hope you everyone else could stay there too. They have a club lounge that’s fantastic and the pool is amazing. With cabanas I hope everybody reading this could stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel!!
- TheBeachGuyFLL (10/5): 5 stars, thank you Ritz Orlando Team! - This is a fantastic property with a truly dedicated staff. Danielle, Tommy, and Madison went above and beyond, delivering personalized service and attention to detail that created a real “wow” experience. I was upgraded to a suite that impressed in both space and design, with top-notch amenities. The Club Floor was excellent—hot and cold light meals, baked goods, desserts, fruit, coffee, soft drinks, wine, and an expertly made Dirty Martini. Jamie, Matthew, Paula, and Jason made the club warm and welcoming, elevating the experience. Without this team it would not have been the same. The casual restaurant had a great burger, though communication could have been better. While the hostess was friendly, I was passed to someone who dismissively directed me to the bar despite empty tables. Janelle at the bar, however, was personable, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and seating was available shortly after I arrived. Door service was less attentive (though Ernie the bellman was great), and unlike some other Ritz properties, I didn’t experience a house car, water service, or name recognition—minor points in an otherwise excellent stay. Overall, this was a solid 5-star visit. The property is beautiful, the service is strong, and it’s a home base in Orlando that easily surpasses the best other resorts. A final note: Do watch the checkout process. The last rep at the desk attempted to charge me for resort fees that I’d already paid. I had to prove that my pre-paid travel reservation specified taxes and resort fees were included.
- CLEShawn (6/5): Not a typical Ritz experience - There were too many shortfalls this stay. The pool was understaffed and difficult to find any staff to take an order. I had to ask multiple times for my room to be cleaned at 5pm (others in our party had similar issues), seemingly another staffing issue. The steakhouse made us wait 20 minutes for our table in an empty restaurant for a 6pm reservation. Overall the hotel felt as if staffing was an issue to being able to provide typical service. The hotel was clean, the gym was good, even if cramped, the grounds were well kept, but something felt atypical.

- heathersO165PH (8/5): Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes - I stayed here for a girlcation and have previously visited several The Ritz-Carlton locations across different states, so I have a strong sense of the level of detail and service typically associated with the brand. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the staff was genuinely lovely throughout our stay. Room service was also refreshingly “old school” the food was properly plated and delivered on a cart, which added to the experience and felt elevated. However, the room itself did not reflect the same attention to detail I’ve come to expect. When we arrived, there was a shirt sticker stuck to the wall. It was almost funny at first, but it did make me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. There were also small but noticeable issues. For example, the carpet appeared new, but there was a visible gap between the carpet and the wall. Harmless, yes, but distracting from what was otherwise a lovely stay. Overall, I would still highly recommend this property because of its beautiful setting and wonderful staff. That said, a bit more management walk-through and attention to the finer details would truly bring the experience in line with the brand’s usual standard of excellence.
- MPinCT (10/5): Amazing hotel! - We escaped for a few days to the Ritz Orlando. What an incredible time. The staff and accommodations were all next level amazing! A very deserved shoutout to Matt and his incredible staff in the Club Lounge. Thank you for everything you did for us. We enjoyed every minute of our time there. Trish and all of the other women serving us in there went above and beyond to make us feel relaxed and cared for. We desperately needed some rest and relaxation and that was easy to do here! We took the complimentary bikes out each morning which was fun. Even ventured next door to the JW for a quick ride down the water slide and lazy river. An overall epic couples getaway that has left us looking forward to returning soon.

- MG92 (6/5): Check your bill and expect 3* service! - Having stayed at almost every Ritz Carlton and St. Regis in the World, I must say the service here was the most disappointing. The JW next door had much better service and amenities. Pros - Nice location. Beautiful grounds. Rooms were comfortable and large. Nice shuttle to the parks with friendly driver. Pool temps nice. Nice to access the MUCH better facilities at the JW next door - lazy river, bigger pool. Good service by Robert at front desk who did what he could with no help by management. He should be promoted. Cons - At check-in, some guests offered champagne. Nothing offered to us (I guess maybe I wasn’t dressed nice enough?!). Guests were told resort was only 20% full. Notwithstanding, no upgrades being offered to Platinum or Titanium guests. Nothing offered to acknowledge status - no breakfast, nothing. Told to check back tomorrow as there would be availability. I did. Next day, check in representative was not only rude and snarky but brushed us off and said “resort was full.” This was not true. I asked later and was told it was only 18% full! Oh well, not a big deal. We were comfortable in our room. We were staying for our daughter’s Sweet 16. I told them at check in, called ahead and personally spoke to concierge in the morning to order something for her birthday. Mind you, I didn’t ask for anything free! Was told I would be contacted and they would make sure it would be “special!” Nothing done! I asked to pay for a cake, nothing. Got back to room at the end of the night, room was not even cleaned (!) much less anything done for the birthday! Not 5* service by any means. I went down to ask about this and asked to speak to manager. Manager never came out (she hid in back). Robert was very nice and helpful (I felt bad for him as manager just left him alone). He offered to do something then but, frankly, it was too late. The surprise was blown. Next day, they did deliver some nice chocolates, cake and a gift but, again, too little, too late. Went down to sit by the pool and swim. Had attendants standing around at pool. Asked to order a drink. Was told we would have to order through room service (which made the already overpriced $18 drink $32!). Nonetheless, drinks never came! No-one contacted us. No-one offering to assist with towels! Don’t worry - was still charged for the drinks we never got! Next day, checked folio. Was charged for the drinks we didn’t receive AND for parking (we had no car!!). Check other reviews - many have complained about this scam!! Had to again ask to speak with manager who was still “unavailable!!” Was told it would be removed. Again, room was NEVER cleaned! No water, no towels, nothing. Just no service at all! Couldn’t find anyone to assist! THEN, the kicker! Kids were down by the pool, I get in elevator to go back to the room. The elevator goes up about 5 floor and stops! Alarm going off. Hit the emergency button, NO-ONE answered the phone! No-one came, no-one cared. After many times trying to call, had to pry open the door and crawl out myself! Not one employee responded or came by. Went down to front once again. Same useless employee that lied to us telling us the capacity was full had no sympathy. Shrugged his shoulders! Left me speechless. He should be at a Holiday Inn! Upon check out, GUESS WHAT - parking STILL on account! Again, we had no car!! Ladies and Gents - CHECK YOUR FOLIO. My guess is they do this to foreign guests who do not know better. It is pure theft. If you expect any service stay elsewhere. Having stayed next door at the JW, at the JW in Bonnett Creek, and the Four Seasons in Orlando, those are 5*. This is 2-3* at best. Upon complaint, someone from hotel management did finally reach out offering us to come back for a complimentary stay. Not sure if we even want to. If we do, I will update this review with our experience. The short of it, do not expect 5* service, check your bill, clean your own room and plan to swim next door. Better yet, just stay next door at the JW! These types of issues CLEARLY come from the top down. Management should be replaced here by Marriott. Hiding in the back when there are complaints and leaving it to a young employee to handle is a true tail sign of failure. Lying, stealing, and complete lack of any service. If managers hide in the back, what do you expect of the employees? The shoulder shrug by the rude desk employee is about how I would sum up this place. In the end, I’d like to personally thank Robert. He did what he could without any help him management. This young man should BE the manager.

Andrew was my tour guide, he was excellent and very knowledgeable about the river and the wildlife! I was by myself and a little hesitant to do this trip, but I am so glad they made me feel so welcomed! I am happy that I did the Tour! I highly recommend Grande Lake Sports! Michelle Finnegan
- catconk (10/5): 11/10 Stay - We had the most incredible stay at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, and it could not have been a more perfect place to celebrate my birthday, Valentine’s Day, and our anniversary all in one special trip. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless and thoughtful. Our room was ready early, and Stephen at check-in took amazing care of us. He warmly acknowledged our celebrations. Walking into our room was such a wow moment. It was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches, and the view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous. Sydney from guest relations is truly dedicated to serving her guests and was lovely, enlivening many Ritz-Carlton service values. The rooms are comfortable, clean, luxurious, and well-equipped. The mattress and bedding were outstanding. The turndown service Ladies & Gentlemen did a wonderful job as well. We made the most of the resort and loved having access to the neighboring facilities with the games, waterslide, and lazy river. Lunch at Knife Burger was delicious, and in the evening we toasted to each other on our balcony while watching a stunning sunset over the golf course. It was one of those simple but unforgettable moments. We also stopped for drinks in the lobby lounge, which was spectacular. We both work in the food and beverage industry and can be a bit particular, especially my mixologist boyfriend, but everything exceeded expectations. The cocktails were top-tier. The spa was another highlight. Our massages were incredibly relaxing, and Kelsey at the spa front desk was so kind and welcoming. In the morning, we grabbed coffee from the café and then explored more of the property. There is truly so much to do. We used the complimentary bikes and rode along the trail, which was scenic, fun, and just the right amount of challenge. We even spotted an alligator in the distance in one of the lakes. Other activities available we took advantage of: air hockey, foosball, ping pong, large chess, pool, and bouchée ball. Poolside service was fantastic as well. Cody, the pool attendant, was attentive and friendly, and Ni Kadek set up our chairs with a smile 😊. Overall, this was an amazing staycation and such a meaningful way to celebrate. The property itself is beautiful, but the Ladies and Gentlemen are what truly make it special. I came here many times growing up, and it was so special to return 13 years later and create new memories. We are already looking forward to coming back again….who needs to go to Disney when you are staying at this hotel?

- Voguechicc (10/5): A stay at the Ritz - The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, thank you for such an amazing stay from checkin to check out I enjoyed my stay entirely. The staff here are so lovely and pleasant to be around. My room was spacious and did not feel cramped at all. Very clean property , and it was a quiet environment all around. Very relaxing atmosphere and I enjoyed it. I loved having access to both properties and enjoying the waterslides and lazy river on the JW Marriott side. The staff in the marketplace were knowledgeable about the items on hand and recommended some amazing options. Upon leaving I checked out the gift shop where I purchased a cute hat and sweater to go with it. Two people specifically Gede Edi and Travis, they were amazing and had great energy.Overall if you are looking for relaxing and fun in the same place I would highly recommend the Ritz Carlton as it felt like home away from home.

Food was definitely a 2 out of 5 - breakfast was just Ok. Asked for well done bacon and it was clearly microwaved, came to the table hard as a rock for 2 of us at the table. Over MD eggs had runny whites. Had a company event with a dinner buffet. Ribeyes were quite rare with no option to get cooked more and super fatty and grisly. $120 to use the sauna for just 20 minutes? Outrageous. Room did not get fully serviced one day - we had to come back to room to change, housekeeping was there and finished beds but never returned to finish the rest of the room. Definitely not on par for a Ritz - is that because it’s part of Marriott now??

Our stay was thoughtfully coordinated by Oliva and Mollie, who ensured every detail was flawless. They arranged a beautiful room overlooking the pool, offering a perfect vantage point for the spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks. The welcome amenities—wine, artisanal cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruit, and a stunning floral arrangement—were both generous and beautifully presented, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Moises at the front desk and his colleagues. Moises exemplified the Ritz-Carlton standard of hospitality—engaging, attentive, and genuinely interested in our journey, our plans, and what brought us to the property. He took the time to answer our questions thoroughly and ensured we felt completely confident and cared for throughout our stay. Mike, our bellman, escorted our luggage to the room and made certain we were comfortably settled before departing. He later went above and beyond by assisting my husband with having his shoes shined—one of many thoughtful touches that elevated the experience. The housekeeping team was exceptional, consistently providing fresh towels, water, and coffee, and maintaining our room with impeccable care and attention. In-room dining was handled by Richard, who exceeded every expectation. Given our dietary restrictions, ordering late-night dining can be challenging; however, Richard navigated this effortlessly. Not only did we enjoy an abundant and beautifully prepared meal, but he also surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a spa gift bag on New Year’s Eve — an unforgettable gesture. Throughout our stay, we felt as though we were the only guests on property. The individualized, intentional service delivered by every Ritz-Carlton lady and gentleman was remarkable and deeply appreciated. The hotel itself was exquisitely decorated for the New Year’s celebration, and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor holiday market, ice skating rink, live DJ, and festive atmosphere. The fitness center was also exceptional, featuring state-of-the-art equipment that we were delighted to use. As our stay came to a close, Roberto assisted us with our luggage and engaged us in a warm, genuine conversation that reflected true care for both our experience and us personally. Gabby at the front desk ensured our departure was met with a gracious farewell, and Jordan, the valet, brought our car promptly and even returned to retrieve water for us despite a very busy valet line. Once again, we were made to feel like the only guests, even at departure. Being addressed by name, met with eye contact, and surrounded by thoughtful personal touches made this stay truly exceptional. John and I have stayed at several Ritz-Carlton properties, including Grande Lakes in the past, yet this visit stands out as one of our absolute favorites. - mjO2608UQ (10/5): Outstanding - Best night of our trip. We stayed in seven different Marriott properties during this trip to Florida. This was by far our best night. FINALLY, a decent bed! Of course, great service and rooms at a certain level are expected from a Ritz. This is our second stay in this hotel (the other some time ago). This stay dwarfs most Marriott stays. The rooms was comfortable (we were offered an upgrade on a higher floor, but we actually prefer lower floors; which makes getting a better room difficult, of course). The staff could not have been better, from valets to front desk. Marriott, Denise at the front desk is someone you should go to lengths to keep on staff. She is wonderful. The location is good, of course (about 15 minutes to the airport), and the amenities are superb. Right now they are in the midst of the Hanukkah/Christmas season. Ice skating in Orlando...outdoors. Nice touch. The "Christmas Market" is closed during the week; sorry we missed that. The decorations are attractive and classy, as would be expected. I bring my own instant espresso as I don't like Nespresso, and that's all that is available in the rooms. We were given a card for coffee downstairs with a breakfast treat, but we didn't use it. We walked the grounds to unwind, sat by a fire pit. Would be difficult not to love this place. Quiet, comfortable, friendly, well-run. Kinda miss the feather beds, though. We will return...with less time between stays than before. BTW, for those who know, this was the ONLY hotel who offered us a "suite night" award upgrade. The ONLY one in the last year.

When she found out what a large group we were, she was concerned with how we would sit around to pool and still be able to hang out. She made arrangements to have us sit together in a way that we could comfortably reminisce and make new memories. Thank you for your kindness. My experience with the Ritz wasn't as you would expect especially with house keeping and the maintenance of the room, which felt more like 2 star. The hotel is certainly beautiful, the rooms are large and very well appointed, the entire property is gorgeous. But it's the people who work here that make the biggest impact. Whether bellhop, front desk staff, pool attendants, bartenders, restaurant staff... literally every Ritz Carlton employee we met embodied the word hospitality. Special shoutout to Marlin serving at Highball & Harvest, and Jennifer hostessing there and at Knife & Spoon, who went out of their way to help make our anniversary trip extra special. It's the little extras that made a big difference, like suggesting a reservation at the perfect table by the window for breakfast, and then welcoming us by name the next two mornings. That's just one example of many memorable moments that helped to make us feel welcome. Thank you all for a wonderful stay, we certainly look forward to a return visit!
- Z31onthego (10/5): 5 Star w/ kids - This was our second time staying at this property. We stayed for 5 nights over Halloween and our twin boys 1 year old birthday and we had a wonderful time. We somehow got connected with Jessica (concierge) and she went above and beyond making this a special time for our family. The heated pool served us well and we got tons of great pictures on property. Our 5 year old daughter especially enjoyed the trick-or-treat event between the two properties. I actually never even left the property the entire duration of our trip. For meals we ordered in room dining for breakfast and dinner and then had lunch by the pool. Each meal was excellent and the staff was extremely attentive and pleasant. Everything just felt "easy" for us and with littles easy is what we needed as parents. I was pretty much in mourning the day of our departure because we had such an enjoyable stay with great weather. This was also my fall tan glow up to get me through to Christmas and I appreciated that the pool was perfectly positioned for all day sun with nothing blocking the glorious rays. Another staff member that contributed to this exceptional stay was Michelle from in-room dining. My wife really enjoyed talking to her and she made this a special time for us as well.

A beautiful and well maintained property with excellent service and very comfortable rooms. The Golf Course was in great shape and we enjoyed some of the challenging holes. - Gmichael315 (10/5): Perfect trip to celebrate my daughter’s birthday! - One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at (coming from a Marriott Lifetime Elite member with over 440 nights). I live in Tampa and frequent the attached JW Marriott several times a year. This was my first time staying at the Ritz Carlton Grand Lakes (the JW was full). Upon booking, I thought “it won’t be that different”, but boy was I wrong (in the best way possible). The Ritz service was incredible. Every single staff member from checkin, restaurants, pool, housekeeping, Kids Club, etc were FANTASTIC. It was my daughter’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. Special shoutouts to Vanessa, Victoria, the Samuels (I believe there are two), Brooke, and the lovely ladies from Kids Club. You all brought so much joy to my daughter and me! The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very well appointed. Having access to the more private Ritz pool while still being able to venture over to the busier JW lazy river and waterslides was a plus. Highball had great service and food. My daughter and I have been planning a trip to Africa next summer but after staying at the Ritz, she said “Mom, I think we should just come back here instead!” :) If you’re looking for that added, extra level of service and luxury, do not hesitate to book the Ritz. They will not disappoint!
- 315renah (10/5): The Ritz Carlton experience - I’ve have stayed at this Ritz multiple times over the last several years when traveling to Orlando. It is a great location and always an excellent experience. From the valet and front desk staff to housekeeping… everyone does a fantastic job to give you that Ritz Carlton experience. This visit in particular, Javier at the desk was a true Ritz gentleman! He was genuinely polite and over the top accommodating! Our room was beyond phenomenal, of course with an amazing view. In Ritz fashion, sparkling clean marble in the bathrooms, fully stocked with everything you need without having to ask. Room service is quick- food is as tasty as in the restaurants, arrives hot with all the accoutrements. Unfortunately, didn’t have the time this visit to get to enjoy the property however from past experiences at the spa, pool, and restaurants, it is all an A++ and I highly recommend it all! You will want to make certain that you have at least a day to peruse the resort. It is not just a place to stay, it is an experience in itself! Already looking forward to my next visit…

This time I was here in early August. Everything was just perfect. This is, by far, the best Ritz that I frequent. Just keep the pool warm and all is well with the world. You have a sensational staff, and all deserve special recognition. Aside from the subperb beauty and cleanliness of the hotel, the staff is everthing. Special shout outs to Rachel, Moses, and Matthew. All succeeded in making this a memorable vacation. The property is very well maintained and the grounds are sublime. It’s such a beautiful property surrounded by tranquil lakes full of wildlife as we amble along our morning walk towards the hotel. At the entrance of the hotel two young lads open the doors for you as you enter the lobby and I could say: “I am home!” Lobby Ambassador Lisa Eastwood greeted us with a welcome smile who we have spoken with a couple of times. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience under her belt. Her recommendations are spot on! The friendly team at Grand Lakes Sports headed by Tabitha followed by Andrew, Richard, Jaimee, Olivia and Yassine looked after us very well. The family enjoyed cycling around the paths and also on one occasion we did the bike trail. The grounds people were also polite and gave us a wave and a smile, all the more made our experience very pleasant. Dogs of every size are welcome around the grande lakes and oh they are so cute and well behaved. During wine o’clock we go to nowhere else than the Lobby Lounge, casual but elegant ambience. On Saturdays while enjoying our drinks, the massive windows open up. We have been entertained by fire dancers from the lobby lounge and also the stunning fireworks display! The ladies at the lobby lounge impeccably looked after us very well. Namely Lorena, Yanely and Asrid. We had the pleasure of meeting Manny as well. Special mention to Lorena, on our last night she has organized a pisco sour drink especially for me! This is not in the menu and it was served as a surprise by Yanely. Thank you ever so much! Made me feel so special and overwhelmed! My family and I will be back again. I’ll raise a glass to you all to say: “Thank you!” Cheers!!!

Every staff member I encountered—from the front desk to the poolside attendants—was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. They anticipated my needs without me having to ask, which made for a completely seamless and relaxing trip. The entire resort is absolutely beautiful. My room was immaculate, with a stunning view and a wonderfully comfortable bed. What stood out most, however, was the cleanliness. The property is impeccably maintained, and the pristine condition of everything from the common areas to the guest rooms truly reflects the high standards of the Ritz-Carlton brand. The food was a highlight of my stay. I had the pleasure of dining at several of the resort's restaurants, and each meal was a culinary delight. The flavors were incredible, and the presentation was a work of art. The dining options offer something for every palate, and I left feeling completely satisfied. Finally, the gym and pools were absolutely fantastic. The fitness center was well-equipped and spacious, allowing for a great workout. The pools, in particular, were a paradise. The atmosphere was so serene, and I loved having a variety of options, from the tranquil main pool to the 18 and over Spa Pool. I also had an amazing facial.

- CHARLES (8/5): Hotel review - It’s a very expensive hotel so if you’re on a budget I would avoid. In the coffee shop on site they were asking $18 for a cup of fruit. 😱 I think the hotel for a 5 star is too big. You wait on busy nights too long in the bar / around the pool to even get served etc but overall the facilities are class and all the staff are too. There was only one time around the pool where I asked if we could move an umbrella and the guy turned round and said yes and walked off….. Thanks for your help! The hotel is spotless and the rooms are beautiful. Fireworks on a Saturday night are epic and out of this world! Overall great trip and great hotel and I would go back.

They make you feel special. But the smalls things are detractors. The bar is overpriced even for a Hotel. One order of scotch is 1/2 the bottle price. None of the 8 cue sticks hacks have tips. The shuffle board table has broken pucks. Rooms for many guests were not ready by the 4pm check-in. They can do better for a “Ritz”.

- Robert (10/5): - Absolutely stunning experience at The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like royalty with their warm welcome and impeccable service. The property is beautifully landscaped, creating a serene oasis that feels a world away from all the hustle and bustle of Orlando tourism. The only significant thing I noticed was a front office clerk that was rude to his co workers and to myself when I asked for change for staff gratuity. Princess couldn’t be bothered.
- rodrigor207 (10/5): Wonderful - Ritz Carlton shares a property with JW Marriott, and there’s a spa in the middle. There are various restaurants on-site, each with its own pool bar. Our room was on the 9th floor. The rooms are beautiful and well-maintained, as they should be. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the AC was cold. The hotel spaces are luxurious and fancy, but there are a lot of noisy kids and teens around. The pool is large and quiet, except for the aforementioned kids. There should be an adults-only section. The pool staff comes around in the morning and offers fruit like apples, bananas, and oranges. They come around in the afternoon and offer wet wipes before lunch. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly and energetic. The Ritz pool has Bleu Bar, which opens at 11. I had lunch there both days; the food was very good for the price. We had a great stay, and I hope to be able to stay again.

- allisondS1216CW (10/5): Exceeding Exceptional Staff and Property - We had an amazing stay! Everyone was so kind and friendly. We were greeted by Ivan as we got out of the car and he set the tone for the rest of our stay. Madison at the front desk was helpful and made the check in process so easy. Ernie, the bellman, did a great job sharing tips and tricks to make our stay more enjoyable. Vachira, the concierge, went out of her way before and during our stay to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. Our chairs at the pool were well shaded by umbrellas and we were well taken care of. Ella and the whole team goes out of their way to make sure guests have what they need. Andres at the Lobby Bar was our favorite bartender. He makes excellent drinks and has a lot of knowledge to share. The service at First Perk was personable. They were interested in their guests and making sure every order was right. We went on the Sunrise Safari. Riding around this massive property gave me a new appreciation for this area of Florida. It was an unforgettable experience filled with herons, deer, and alligators. Lori and Andrew were extremely knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Our accommodations were top notch. We loved this properly and hope to return in the future.

- mhall1967 (8/5): Great Stay - The Ritz Grand Lakes is a very nice property with beautiful grounds and beautiful rooms and public spaces. Our room was spacious and had an amazing view with an extremely comfortable bed and a big beautiful marble bathroom. The front desk staff, while efficient, wasn’t overly friendly, however, the rest of the staff in the hotel was wonderful. From the concierge to restaurant and bar service to the Bell, staff and valet staff, everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. I also had a manicure in the spa, which was absolutely wonderful! A very pampering experience. And Spa is absolutely beautiful. The food on the property was good but a little pricey, but this is to be expected for a Ritz. Overall, we had a very nice time for the couple of days that we were there and would definitely stay there again.

- rossibalboa007 (10/5): Best hotel in Orlando !!!! - We recently returned from our second visit to the The Ritz -Carlton in Orlando and it is one of the best experiences we've ever had . From start to finish , the team completely exceeded our expectations and delighted us in every possible way. The location is perfect and is only 15-20 minutes taxi from a variety of high end restaurants, even though they have ample on site including the sister Marriott hotel. The grounds are breathtaking and is great for morning and evening walks with all the wonderful nature the hotel has to offer. The facilities are fantastic and immaculate -every detail is thought through , with beautifully designed rooms not too complicated and an amazing pool with high end cabanas. On our next visit we will opt for the club level access as it seemed very good value for money considering the quality of food and drinks they have which you can also enjoy on an outside balcony. What really made the holiday unforgettable was the level of service . All the staff was very friendly and genuine which can let alot of 5 star hotels down. I'm pretty sure not one member of staff didn't walk past us without being friendly during our 8 night stay. A special thank you to Ann in guest services who was in touch months before the holiday to arrange a special holiday for my mother and answered any questions i had regarding room types and filled me with plenty of confidence before my arrival .Her warmth and attention to detail was as good as anything we've experienced across the world in high end hotels and is a credit to the company. We left feeling cared for, relaxed and looking forward to coming back.
- esterlino16 (2/5): BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES SUCH AS $ 62 P/NIGHT FOR VALET PARKING!! - Disappointed! This is RC in name only. I would never go back to that hotel again. I am a Marriott/RC Elite Rewards program for over 20 years, currently Platinum Elite. When I called asking for an early check in, their answer was that would cost $175. One or two hour before check in time, they cannot sell the room to anybody, unless they are also operating the property as a motel by the hour...Then when I arrived to the hotel and gave the key to the valet attendant I was hit with a $58 plus taxes rate per night. Not even in in NY, London or Paris they charge that outrageous amount of money. I purchased the room ($650 with bkfst). To my surprise, -according to them- that was Continental Bkfst that included coffee, and pastries only. If I wanted the buffet I have to pay an additional $ 38 or order a la carte and pay the prices of the menu. In addition, to the prices, the service is well below average. It took one hour to have my breakfast. 10 min to fill the glasses with water, 15 more minutes to get the OJ. After 25 minutes waiting for the coffee they came to tell me the coffee machine was being serviced. Finally they brought the coffee, but not the food. For the time they brought the food, the coffee was cold. Then they brought a new hot coffee, and the food wa cold. In two words: TOTAL DISASTER. I never had such a bad experience in a RC hotel. And they pretended to include 20% service charge. You can get better service in a Holiday Inn and pay only $ 150 . They charge $58 + taxes = $62 for valet parking that with just four cars it is total chaos. The two lanes blocked. You can tell this a hotel has no management at all.

- NYCTraveler39 (10/5): A perfect vacation… - We stayed at Grande Lakes in early May and had an amazing experience. I had been to the property many years ago but it is much better than I remembered. Service from the staff was impeccable and no request ever felt like a burden. I had wondered, given Orlando is a child/family destination, if this Ritz would be up to the rest of the chain’s standards and honestly this ended up being one of the best Ritz’s we’ve stayed at. The hotel also went over and above to add some special touches for us. I’m lifetime titanium and was staying at the Ritz for my 50th birthday (which I was dreading) and to spend some time at Disney to feel like a kid again. Apparently my partner notified the hotel ahead of time and we were placed in an absolutely beautiful suite and every night when we got back to the room there was a treat waiting with notes from guest services. From layer cakes to cupcakes, champagne to chocolates, every night was something different. It made a psychologically rough day so much better so I can’t thank the staff enough for all they did. :) Separately, the grounds are lovely, gym is big, pool area never filled (even when the JW was absolutely jammed) and breakfast offerings (a la carte plated) quite large and high quality. Only reco I have at all is that the breakfast buffet could be more expansive. It was good don’t get me wrong, but the sweets section is huge (amazing though) and I think they could be more creative with the other savory sections as well. Other than that we had a flawless 5 nights. Thank you, we won’t hesitate at all to return.

The hotel remains pristine, clean, and everything everywhere sparkles! I enjoyed lunch at Bleu by the pool every day. Service from Maureen and Samantha is always second to none. Every pool staff is exceptional and go above and beyond. I loved Knife and Spoon so much, I went two nights in a row! I appreciate this properties consistent way of knowing the Bonvoy benefits, and they follow through on them. Not all Ritz Carlton's necessary grant these benefits. Rebecca at the lobby bar is a true gem! My only minor complaint is the pool (my favorite part of the hotel) wasn't at the usual 83 - 85 degrees, it was on the high 70s. It wasn't terrible, but I love how it is consistently heated my last visits. I am coming back for a few days at Memorial day. Just love it! Crossing my fingers for 85 in the pool!
- Trek787813 (8/5): Good VS. Great - This is our fourth stay at the Ritz Orlando and while it was good, it wasn't over the top "amazing" 5 star service as we remembered from previous stays. We are hopeful that it was a fluke and are grateful for the professional manor in which the feedback that we provided during our stay was received and resolved. CONS: * Bellman stated he would send up a fridge; follow up 30M later and no request was put in, followed up almost an hour later and fridge sent up after half of the food was already defrosted * Fridge was plugged into a faulty outlet and was still warm in the morning; remainder of food went bad (was provided a $100 resort credit) * Upon arrival our room missing slippers for the robes and dry cleaning bags * Spcial size robe that was requested via guest services prior to arrival was assured to be waiting but was not present; when followed up it still wasn’t delivered until housekeeping supervisor checked in and had to request it a third time * Balcony had a spider issue that only appeared at night (provided a deep clean and offered pest services) * Phone receiver in living room wasn't working and after no initial resolve, the second mention it was swapped with the working bedroom phone (resolved after making them aware) * First day at the pool was never greeted by a server or a pool attendant * Olivia from guest relations followed up via phone call and shared she was off for a few upcoming days but would provide a contact for us should we run into any further issues but never provided said contact * Younger daughters slipper and stuffed animal was MIA; assuming left in the bed and tossed somewhere with the dirty sheets (Kayla offered to send replacement) PROS: * Gabby at the front desk made contact prior to our stay based on our previous stays having delt with Savina and provided a room upgrade * With all above details called out; got back from theme park to array of snacks and an apology letter * Recevied countless calls after above details were shared asking what they could do to make our vacation more memorable (special shout out to Kayla who went above and beyond) * Gabby surprised us with a cabana on our last pool day (Nick the server was attentive and went above and beyond; even giving our girls ice pops from the upstairs shop) * Greeted with a birthday message and cupcakes for my daughters special occassions * A visit to the lobby with our children to check on the Ritz Kids fish tank left us with chocolates, stuffed animals, and a glass of champaign by a very nice gentlement at the front desk (wish I got his name) * Room service arrives within 25M of ordering every time! * A call for a missing ie bucket bag delivered fresh ice, not just the bag to our room Overall, appreciative of the area manager and Gabby being so quick to respond to our concerns and hopeful for a 5 star experience on our next go round.
- alextosetto (2/5): Unacceptable Check-In Experience at Ritz-Carlton Orlando - I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding my recent stay at your property. I arrived at the hotel promptly at 1:30 PM, expecting the high level of service and professionalism that the Ritz-Carlton brand promises. Instead, I experienced a ridiculous and completely unacceptable delay. Despite your stated check-in time of 4:00 PM, I was not checked in until 4:45 PM. Even more astonishing, after this exhausting wait, I was informed that my reserved room was not available and that the only option was a downgraded room — with a worse room type and view — without any adjustment to the price I had originally agreed upon. This situation demonstrates a clear lack of respect for your guests' time, comfort, and expectations. After traveling, I was already tired, and being forced to wait hours, only to be given an inferior accommodation, was extremely frustrating and disappointing. This is not the level of service I expect from a property of your reputation, and it fell far below the standards the Ritz-Carlton brand claims to uphold. I would like to know what you intend to do to remediate this situation. A downgrade without compensation is unacceptable, and the overall experience has left a very negative impression.
- W5959QYgregf (10/5): A Great Ritz-Carlton Family Hotel - My son and I spent three days and four nights at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. We had a great time! Our suite was beautiful and quiet. The hotel was excellent. Our cabana by the pool was the best. The staff is warm and friendly. They have pool tables, ping pong, shuffleboard tables, foosball and close by is the Marriott water park. The fast slide there was fast! My only slightly negative comments are that the pool should be bigger and close before 10pm. Our last night was noisy. We had to go to bed early for an early flight home. We will be returning to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Shellfish cooked well or raw. Pasta sauces broken. Pools so crowded, no seats available within 25 ft of the water. Don't go in April!
