• Elena (4/5): - It's located in a very good place - everything is close. The Hotel itself is decent, though is quite old. The staff was very friendly and helpfull I've had a big problem with getting back my deposit. It was said I get my money back in 3-5 days, but 30 days have already gone and it’s no money. I sent them a remainder about my money, but no answer. It's not appropriate behaviou for a serious hotel. Also they promised to pay me exra money because I participated in their green policy, but they also forgot about their promise. I'm upset
• Climber47836120436 (10/5): Great stay! - We loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect next to the pier and multiple restaurants with easy access to valet parking. The space was clean and the staff was kind and accommodating. Whitney at the front desk was especially helpful with the check in process and answering all questions we had throughout our stay. It was also fun to have access to bikes to explore with from the hotel. A wonderful experience overall!

End of our route 66 trip from east to west and perfect end to us as weary travellers. Birthday and anniversary celebration for us to and have to say Heidi and Rocio made this even more special ! Petals , towel art, roses , chocolates etc greeted us in the room . What customer service is this ! Amazing if all hotels went to this length they would get much more business .

Christian as well helped us in recovering my sister’s clothes that she left in our room’s closet. The balcony view is spectacular. Ocean View Hotel is a great location to stay at in Santa Monica. Nice to stay where the staff listens to you. Loved chatting with Theresa as well. 5 stars from CT sisters.

I came to celebrate my daughter’s high school graduation, only to find out upon arrival that my fully paid reservation had been cancelled TWO days earlier without any notification, despite charging me 100% a month ago. Expedia/Booking.com completely messed up the reservation, and after almost 48 hours without sleep, I was exhausted and shocked. Thankfully, the team at Ocean View Hotel completely changed this experience for us. Heidi Nelson and Christian Morales showed incredible professionalism, empathy, and kindness during a very stressful moment. They found us a similar ocean view room, welcomed us warmly, and even gave my daughter a super cute gift that meant so much to us. 💛 The hotel itself is amazing: clean, comfortable rooms stocked with everything you need, including all bathroom essentials, valet parking, lots of food options nearby, and an excellent safe location just steps from the pier. Safe area! Value 5/5! You truly feel at home here! One of my favorite memories will be drinking morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean and feeling the fresh ocean breeze. Absolutely incredible experience that not every hotel can offer. Thank you for turning a travel nightmare into a beautiful graduation memory for my daughter! 🤗💛5🌟

• LoznVlad (10/5): Perfect Santa Monica hotel - Hotel is beautiful, right on the main strip and my Ocean view balcony room overlooked the famour pier. Theresa and Ashley were so friendly when I checked in and Ashley helped me later to borrow a free bike for a few hours, it was perfect to ride down to Venice beach right before sunset. My room was huge and Im glad I upgraded to the balcony. Only issue for me was there was little pressure in the shower and you have to go PAST the hot part to get hot water but that is only minor. Highly recommend!

Theresa who i saw mostly was so helpful and knowledgeable about the area . No request was difficult , special shout out to Joy who we met on the morning /day of our arrival. Room was clean and well serviced with coffee machine and kettle. 2 hour daily bike hire included which we used most days as there is a good cycle path along the boardwalk. All the staff were great - - shout out to Joy, Whitney and Francisco. If we come back to LA would definitely stay here. Only thing that would make it even better based on a hotel we stayed at in Florida was a borrow box where when you bought beach toys/body boards/chairs you could leave them for other guests to borrow- not the responsibility of the hotel just as good way to share items bought that you don’t take home!

Room service was fast and the food was delicious! It was a great experience for my 2 young boys who had not had that experience yet! There was nothing that I did not like.
• 618tome (10/5): Great views and location - We loved the oceanfront room with balcony to people watch, see the beach, pier and sunsets. We opened the window and had a nice breeze coming in as well. Front desk was great at check in and valet was super fast for the car. Location was also great, we walked mostly everywhere we needed to go while here, even with our toddler. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

Every time we arrived we were welcomed with a smile, they were all so helpful, we got a super early check in on arrival and a bag of delicious popcorn on check out! The location could not get better for being close to the beach and the action of the pier! There is food right outside the door both ways, you can wander a few blocks anyway and find even more food and shopping as well! I highly recommend a stay here! Super affordable too 🙂

Christian greeted me when I arrived (2 hours ahead of check in time) and texted me an hour later that my room was ready. Theresa was there to help when I returned from the excellent Water Grill just down the street. I had requested a higher floor if possible, and they gave me the top floor. The only blemish was loud kids waking me up twice in the early hours of the morning. Not really anything management can do about that, but I was pleased that the valet allowed me to leave my car in the structure for an hour after checkout so I could take a little walk along the pathway overlooking the beach. All in all, a wonderful break from day to day life!

Beautiful and very clean hotel. Rooms are very nice and our balcony view was amazing. Cristian, Theresa and Ashley provided us with excellant service. Ocean View Hotel is a short walk to the pier and beach. We will definately to come back again.

Paid for the ocean front room and balcony which was great, but it was a bit oddly shaped, two people don’t really fit with the door in the way. There was an online check in process that took a bit of time, but even so it was a bit brusque at the front desk…. Ps there was an off putting scent in the air-conditioner.

It is directly across the street from the beach. The rooms were well lit, clean and comfortable. The lobby had a positive, welcoming atmosphere & all the staff were so kind! My husband put in the booking notes that it was our 5 year anniversary and the Rocio, Heidi & Mario decorated the room with flowers, rose petals, sea shells, charcuterie, swan towels and cold waters. It was such a special surprise! My husband was accidentally double charged & when he mentioned it they said they had already known/taken care of it and comped our valet for the inconvenience. 10/10 service! The hotel is also walking distance from the shopping center, restaurants & activities which is so convenient. Overall our stay here was immaculate and we will definitely be back!

• dlynnh2026 (10/5): Come for the fun...Stay for the view - The ocean view rooms perfect for unwinding to the sounds of the ocean. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the pier. My kid and I were able to get there in about 5 minutes top. The staff is amazing. Whitney was extremely helpful with our last minute reservation and was spot on with her recommendations. Check in and checkout was easy. The rooms were clean and the nespresso machine is a nice touch.

My wife and I had the privilege of spending three nights at this exceptional hotel while celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and we left completely amazed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and extraordinary attention to detail. Rarely have we experienced service of such a high standard — we truly felt treated like royalty throughout our entire stay. A very special thank you to Heidi, whose professionalism, kindness, and dedication made this experience truly unique. If you are looking for outstanding service, do not hesitate to ask for her — she is absolutely wonderful! We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the housekeeping staff, and especially to the lovely lady who took care of our room (419). She did a truly fantastic job — everything was always spotless, perfectly arranged, and maintained with great care. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed and contributed greatly to the comfort of our stay. Our room was magnificent, with a balcony offering breathtaking views of the palm trees and the ocean. A true little paradise. But the surprises didn’t stop there… Upon entering our room, we discovered an exceptional romantic setup: the bed was beautifully decorated with real rose petals, along with two swans formed from towels — a perfect symbol of our love. On the dresser, there was a stunning bouquet of roses, a box of chocolates, some biscuits… and most importantly, a card signed with a few words by the entire hotel team. Such an incredible and touching gesture. Everything was perfect, down to the smallest detail. We highly recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional stay. And if we could give 6 stars, we absolutely would!

From the Valet Attendant, to the Check In Agents and Housekeeping, we had nothing but a great experience with the entire staff. Parking Attendants Alex, Devon & Kyle were very helpful and kind. • Petra (9/5): Příjemný hotel, skvělá lokalita - Čistota, skvělý personál na recepci - zejména Heidi a Theresa - vždy s úsměvem a s radou, každý den pokoj krásně uklizený. Půjčení kola bylo na recepci hladké a za 2 hodiny jsme projeli St Monica a Venice beach. Byly jsme na snídani ve vedlejším hotelu Shore, snidane první den byla skvělá, druhý den uz tak ne - capuccino mělo spadlou pěnu, umazaný pošálek, a cena účtovaná vyšší než na lístku. Po dotaz bylo opraveno ale bez omluvy. Jen poznámka, měly jsme pokoj u ledovače, což bylo v noci rušivé, zvukotěsnost nebyla nejlepší.

The location is great and right across the street from the beach. Close to many restaurants and bars. You won’t be disappointed. It doesn’t have a bar or pool but we enjoyed their sister property at Shore Line hotel.

Getting to/from the beach wasn’t too easy for us because of the elevation and having to take stairs or ramp and my wife being pregnant, but otherwise location is perfect The bed was good but a bit firm for my preference. It also wasn’t exactly a large king bed, but still a little bigger than a queen size bed. Also, being on the second floor I could hear a lot of noise coming from the street, the hallway, and the room above.

We arrived around 10am but Eva and Cristian were able to accommodate our early check-in so smoothly. The room was large, clean, and relaxing. It was a great value for the cost. The balcony is delightful. Rooms are pricey, but for a special treat, it can be worth the cost. Parking, however, shouldn't be quite so expensive.

• Sue (10/5): A lovely hotel with very helpful staff - The room was nice with a comfy bed. The staff were very helpful. In particular, I would like to thank Heidi and Joy who made sure that my laundry was sent and returned in time before our departure (as the laundry was not picked up at the correct time). I was very impressed that both Heidi and Joy noticed me as I walked into the hotel and gave me an update on my laundry - thank you ladies 🙂 Nothing
• Angela (10/5): One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in - The whole presentation of the hotel the cleanliness and how friendly the staff were. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they were always there to help. Maybe a side restaurant for meals like breakfast launch and dinner nothing too fancy just basic meals. That is about it everything else was just amazing

• Celest (10/5): The staff was friendly and I felt at home there and nice and welcomed… - It was right across from the pier and it was nice…. That they don’t have enough dental stuff like flosses and stuff….

• Alteris (8/5): Would stay again, location, view and staff are fantastic! - Beautiful room, excellent location! Staff super friendly! Bed wasn’t the most comfortable but ok. Room had a funny smell, like musty animals.
