Guest Reviews
- Ali (10/5): - Excellent location for visiting Paris , near metro subway place Clichy, from where you can connect to several key city landmarks. Good variety of walkable distance restaurants around. Some key sighting are closed by like Sacré cœur basilica, moulin, …. .
- Brandon (2/5): Terrible, do not stay here. - Walls are made of paper, which is unfortunate considering they’ve apparently installed a racquetball court next to every room. The shower sprays onto the floor of the bathroom, rather than the shower pan, and there is mildew and dirt in the groutwork of the tiling. There are black stains on the white sheets, which leads me to think they’ve also forgotten to purchase bleach, and the walls were last washed sometime before COVID-19. Luckily the pillows are also made of paper, so there is no fear that you’ll sleep comfortably on the cardboard mattress and miss out on your chance to place a bet on who will win the racquetball game next door!
- elise (6/5): - Location was great for metro, Sacre Coeur (well worth the 15 minute walk hike up the hill) & Moulin Rouge.
Hotel itself was dated & basic, albeit comfortable & clean.
- Paul (6/5): - The rooms were tired and lacking facilities like plugs.
- Camellia (6/5): - Great location but hotel was dated. Bathrooms super old and had a smell. Cementary view from the window. Wouldn’t stay here again but enjoyed the location as it was close to the metro
- Charmian (8/5): - Great spot close to Metro and walking distance to all Montmarte has to offer !!
- Lisa (8/5): - Excellent location and views from the hotel
- Desiree (10/5): - Great price. Easy to get around. Our reservation included an excellent breakfast. Staff went over and above!
- Elizabeth (8/5): - As many other reviews have mentioned, what’s lacking at this place are towel for hands and a water boiler. Oh and if you need conditioner make sure you bring one or buy one because they just have an all body and hair soap.
That’s all. The room is very spacious. Check in was super easy and early. The metro is like 5 mins away. They have a water filter near reception. Ac worked well.
I would definitely stay here again.
- Barbara (6/5): - This is a budget hotel. Rooms are small, and we went in April and the hotel did not have AC on, which made hard to sleep for me. I found the room warm, even with windows open. Also, they give you thick blankets only.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to ground transportation, very live area.
- Divine (10/5): - Ibis is a budget hotel. If you are on a budget and looking for a place to sleep and go on with your business, this will be perfect. The property is a little old but very clean and rooms are spacious for a Paris hotel standard. The metro is just about 2 minutes walk down the road and the area looks very safe to me. Several affordable dining options around. Their breakfast was buffet style, and there was something for everyone. Their luxuy brand which is the Mercure hotel is just next door, so if you want more amenities, payup and go there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean hotel but rooms need updating - The hotel reception is welcoming and the hotel itself clean. Our room was very clean but dated. Bathroom had a strange smell and toilet kept over flowing for no reason. There was only 1 double electricity socket and onky 1 travel adapter plug fitted in, making it difficult to charge things and use hair dryer etc.
- A (10/5): Great location in Paris - This was a convenient and lovely stay in Paris in a great location with lots of options.
- Abbas (6/5): - Without cattle , refrigerators, glass for drinking water and…..
- s.stephanie (2/5): - Not at all what it looked like in the pictures!
We had to look at 6 rooms to find one that didn’t have mold in the shower, but there was still plenty of mildew. When I reached out to Expedia they said I should contact the front desk. The only thing they could do was give us extra towels. Very disappointed. There is no fixing the issues I had with this property. I felt let down by the property and Expedia.
- Carlos (8/5): - Good location, needs some improvement in terms of the air conditioner
- Kishor (8/5): - Location is perfect - short walk to Sacre Coeur (15 mins), Moulin Rouge (5 mins), St. Lazare train terminal (15 mins)
- Luis (8/5): - La zona muy buena , cerca del metro, mucho ambiente de noche , tranquila y segura el hotel un poco viejo pero bien la habitación cómoda pero el baño muy pequeño a mi gusto en general bien
- Katherine (10/5): - No frills but clean, comfortable, and a perfect location. Quiet too, at least where my room was.
- rob (10/5): - Handy Location to see Paris sights
- Luis (8/5): - En general bien , pero la habitación un poco pequeña , el baño pequeño pero bien , el aire funciona pero no súper frío , el hotel es bueno más no excelente
- Margot (6/5): - This hotel had more of a hostel feel than a hotel feel. It was pretty sterile and didn't have much flair. For the price and for one night, it was good enough for us. Very easy to walk to Montmartre and Pigalle.
- Vava (4/5): - The air conditioning system is very poor and TERRIBLE.
- bara (8/5): - It was nice over all
- isaac (6/5): - Ac didnt work well, and bed was hard as rock. Sleeped maybe 2 hours.
- Cíntia (2/5): The worst experience - Small bedroom, no fridge, the aircon wasn’t working, super expensive.
- Monica (8/5): - The hotel is quiet and clean. The staff is helpful. The room provides simple and basic stuff only.
- Sereyvathiny (6/5): - Good location
- Michael (8/5): - Clean and good location
- SYLVAIN (8/5): - Ok
- Chelsae (8/5): - Convenient and great value for what you pay. Would stay here again.
- Lucy (2/5): - It was extremely small
- Victoria (10/5): - I didnt like that there was not refrigerator.
- Glenys (10/5): - It was very close to where we wanted to visit. Many attractions were walkable from the Ibis. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
- COLIN (10/5): - Helpful and friendly staff, great location for sightseeing.
- Timothy (10/5): - Great. They moved us from a handicapped room to another room with no issues after we had some water leaking from shower area.
- Giose (10/5): - Very well enjoyed
- Jan (6/5): Good location - tired Hotel - Room was comfy enough but quite small and scruffy
- Verified traveler (6/5): Wasn't what I expected - No so good. It's a bare minimum hotel. No mini fridge, no safe, no kettle. no shampoo. only provided one in all body wash, supposed to be safe for hair as well. Only 2 bath towels. No face towel. No tissue only toilet paper. Staffs were kind of rude. Abrupt in their replies. Not sure if it's just their culture Was not able to provide direction. Answer is I dont know how to go there.
- Maria (6/5): - Great customer service. Smaller than desirable bed size
- Cezar (4/5): - Bad experience
- Jacqueline (10/5): Perfect location - Good location and value for money
- Marina (10/5): - Good hotel , metro and wonderful cafes close to the hotel. Special thanks to the staff at the reception. Especially to the young guy. HE WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND ATTENTIVE TO US . Thank you very much .
- Angela (10/5): - Lovely 4 night stay at Ibis in Montmatre, hotel was just as expected, Beatrice in restaurant was especially welcoming - will certainly visit again 😊
- Jacqueline (8/5): La retraite de Papa - Very central hotel, great area of Monmatre. We visited as a family of 6, reasonable and convenient to the metro and lovely bars/restaurants.
- Mitchell (2/5): - Honestly this was a pretty miserable stay. Firstly I tried to reach out to the hotel prior to my arrival about several questions I had, never got a response. The location of the hotel is not a great area, super dirty, many homeless camping just outside the door, it is close to Moulin Rouge and the metro atleast. Secondly, there are virtually no conveniences you expect from minimum 2 star hotel, there is no trash bin other than a small one in the bathroom, no mini fridge, no microwave, the AC did not work my entire stay and staff never came up to fix it after me asking twice. Housekeeping did enter my room a few times despite having the DND on the handle. The bedsheets, pillows, and towels were very old and worn down. Despite check out time being at noon, I was being pressured to leave several hours early by the housekeeping staff. Now honestly, I don’t expect this to be the case for everyone. Because this place does have many decent reviews. But i definitely will not ever return to this hotel. You can try your luck here, but I think spending more money at a nicer place is worth it.
- Estela (10/5): - Perfect located, walking distance to turist locations and under a budget 👍
- Gareth (8/5): Long weekend in Paris - We got exactly what we expected with this hotel. It was basic & clean. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels with staff available on the desk all times if needed. A metro station a hundred yards down the road gave easy access into central Paris & a wealth of cafe/restauraunts between us and the Sacre Coeur some 15 min walk away. My only gripe was there were no hot drink facilities in the room… but there was a coffee machine outside the lift lobby on reception. Overall thought we got what we paid for.
- Lauren (10/5): Couldn't falt it - Location fab, 2 mins walk to metro, same walk to montmarte area. Breakfast also Great, not crowded, no queues for anything. Staff on reception very friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location for a convenient price - Had a nice little stay in Paris for 3-nights. This is a budget friendly hotel, so don't expect 5-stars. For the money however, it was comfortable, the cleaners came in every day to change towels and make the beds, the staff were friendly and it is conveniently located. Only a 3-minute walk to the Place Clichy metro station, which connects to the rest of the city. 4-minutes walk to Moulin Rouge and very close to Montmatre, which we found to be our favourite area of Paris. Beautiful French feeling architecture, cobbled streets and an abundance of cafe's restaurants and bars. Would probably stay in this hotel again if we came back to Paris.
- Andrew Rae (4/5): Prison cell - Room was dirty, smelly and very uncomfortable.
Our room looked into an enclosed courtyard with no views other than the neighbouring buildings who could easily see into our room. Only option was to close the blinds and then the room was like a prison cell.
Not impressed at all with the room
- David (8/5): - Staffare english speaking and very helpfull. Hotel is away from the noise and close to transport. Have stayed there previously three times.
- Victoria (10/5): - Rooms are small but overall great stay! Close to everything!
- James (6/5): It's fine. You Get what you pay for. - Rooms are basic. Very basic. Clean enough and pretty decent value given the position.
- Judie (8/5): - Perfect
Location. Basic hotel, rooms are small
But completely functional
- ROSS (8/5): - Would recommend great area
- Shaden (8/5): - The property is a tad bit old, rooms are smaller than the pictures. However the location is great. 5 minutes walk to the metro and bus station, 20 minutes walk to Lafayette. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- corrine (6/5): - Hotel needs updating. Reminds me of a student accommodation. No facilities so quite expensive for what you get. Good location for getting around
- Renae (2/5): - Liked that it was close to the metro. Strongly disliked that the staff were viewed, In my opinion, as untrustworthy. My jewellery was stolen from my luggage in my hotel room. Only staff would have had access. Holes in the floor near the shower, strong smell of chemicals on arrival, window would not provide a good seal so the cold air seeped into the room. Was not notified by staff that a safety deposit box was on site, and there was a power outage in the hotel upon arrival, which was fixed once we reached our room. Staff was helpful with translation for a phone call.
- Kirk (8/5): - Likes were location and transportation access. Did not like no laundry facilities in site for self serve use. Breakfast was limited but plentiful. One issue we die have hotel is supposedly non smoking but one morning the strong smell of cigarettes on the 8th floor. Advised hotel staff, do not know if they ever r solved because they never advised me.
- Ummi (10/5): - Bed was comfortable
- Karen (10/5): - Quality and great service overall very friendly and helpful. Staff was always welcoming and had a great atmosphere.
- Thelma (10/5): - I
- shaun (8/5): - this is the third time i have stayed at this Ibis.... conveniently located neat to Montmartre... a few minutes walk from Abesses Metro station.... not as classic as a small Parisian hotel, of which there are many, but straightforward and no nonsense.... rooms are functional, but clean and have everything you need... the breakfast option is extensive and there is always a seat free.
- bin (10/5): - Nice
- Daniel (10/5): - Very pleasant experience. Here for work , so basically was a foot down to rest.
Location is perfect to visite Paris
- Madeline (10/5): - Muy bien ubicado. Cerca de la Basílica del Sagrado Corazón. Camino a la Basílica se encuentra un barrio lleno de vida, comercios y restaurantes. Por otro lado, encontrará al Molino Rojo a solo unos pasos.
- Noah Berntsen (10/5): - Great Hotel!
- Ahmed (6/5): Room view was at graveyard!! - The room view was to a graveyard which was not a pleasant at all!
- Alistair (10/5): Great hotel, great service - Excellent hotel. Accidentally made a non refundable booking on the wrong date. Hotels.com wouldn’t help me at all despite it being a honest mistake which I noticed about 10 seconds after booking. Fortunately, being fluent in French, I called the hotel and explained my mistake and the situation and they helped me out within minutes. Always get a warm welcome here and it’s super convenient as a location. Hotels.com 0/10, hotel Ibis 10/10
- Brian (6/5): - Pros: Great location close to the Metro, restaurants, Moulin Rouge. Friendly staff, keenly priced.
Cons:
Shower head doesn’t stay in position on the riser.
We had a single bed for our son in our room. I believe this bed might usually be a desk that folds to form a bed (I’m not certain). This meant we had one double socket in our room, but there’s only space for one travel adapter in a double socket essentially making this a single socked. This meant we weren’t able to charge our phones in the morning before heading out or charge tablets etc. Given there are already bedside tables with lights, a socket at each bedside table would be greatly beneficial.
- Sandip (8/5): Nice hotel in good Montmartre location - Bad first day due to no electricity but got offered a room at another ibis and then got that refunded anyway. Staff were pleasant and the room was small but fine and tidy. Only issues not hotels fault was some mosquitos which gave us lots of bites. Really good location tho.
- Fausto (10/5): Simple and good - My stay was enjoyable and straightforward. Similar to other Ibis hotels, this one boasts a favorable location and rooms suitable for individuals with disabilities, each equipped with a high-quality bathroom. The personnel were excellent and kind.
- Dirk (6/5): - Very small room . Only 2 bath towels . No hand towels . 2 bed room was just like one big bed with 2 mattrasses .
- Jason (10/5): - Rooms were quiet and the blackout blinds worked great. Breakfast selection excellent. Bathroom a bit small and no kettle/drink facilities.
- Melina (10/5): - The service is excellent
- Dyrek (8/5): - I liked everything except the graveyard as a view. Other than that, everything was 10/10
- Alexis (6/5): - Bathroom was not clean..
- Anna (8/5): - The breakfast was lovely, nice coffee, French bread, croissants cheeses
- KA WAI (2/5): - Terrible experience I have never encountered for more than 100 trips all over the world, not even in 3rd world countries, but experienced it at Paris, what a nightmare!
The housekeeping staff throw away our entry tickets, receipts and cleansing gel (I put neatly on desk and we were staying 3 nights, they throw away at the 2nd day).
By the time I come back to hotel, it was 3am in the midnight after the moulin rouge show, my cleansing gel is missing and the front dest staff never tried to provide any thing for me to remove make up, but ask us to buy somewhere outside, but there are no shops nearby selling such things at 3am!!!
Honestly I have tried numerous hotels, hostels and airbnbs around the world, from signature local home, shared dorm, tents glamping, to world famous brands such as four seasons, peninsula, oriental and hyatt, and of coz mid price hotels such as holiday inn and ibis, non were delivering this type of services.
This experience made me feel unsafe at Paris for the rest of our trip.
- jennifer (10/5): - Good location for most tourists spots. 10 min walk to Sacré-Coeur, 15mins on metro to Eiffel Tower and nitre-dam. Definitely stay hear again.
- Maria (8/5): - Central location close to lots of restaurants and the metro.
Rooms are very basic and very small, but clean.
- Yvon (8/5): Agréable et calme - Endroit bien situé à distance de marche de la pluspart des endroits touristiques. Endroit calme et bon petit déjeuner.
- Jon (10/5): - Clean and convenient! Enjoyed having the daily maid service. Always a fresh bathroom and clean towels! 😊
- Dean (10/5): - Not a bad place to stay friendly staff
- Richard Buckler (8/5): - Staff was very nice. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly and daily. Minutes from Metro line 2. Reasonable restaurant on site. Temp control in the room was a bit challenging but we were comfortable.
- anthony (8/5): - Great location close to Moulin
- Joanne (8/5): - Room was small, but clean. We moved the bed so that one side wasn't rammed against the wall and this worked for us. It would have been nice to have had a kettle and some supplies to make drinks when we needed them in the early morning.
- Chris (8/5): Great service but tired decor and noisy lift. - This was an emergency stay due to Eurostar cancelling our train. The place is a little tired and could do with a bit of a refresh. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Kept our cheese in the fridge overnight. Rooms quite basic but ok for the money. One annoying thing is that the lift makes a noise in the room and was quite loud. Went on for most of night so didn’t sleep well. Put me off staying here again.
- Keith (8/5): A good little family trip - Overall a good hotel, good breakfast selection, beds comfy, cleanliness was average and room on the small size but generally as expected. Good location plenty of places to eat nearby and only a short distance from a metro station.
- Cristhian (6/5): - un lugar conveniente para hospedarse si estás de rápida visita por la ciudad. las habitaciones son pequeñas, no muy ventiladas. pero cumple su rol.
- richard (10/5): - transportation
- Gayle (6/5): - Very budget, older property, smelled of cleaning fluid. Staff was fine. Elevators very slow. Near two metro stops. Bathroom shower didn’t seem clean.
- Terence (10/5): - Ideally situated for the Moulin Rouge and Mont Matre. The hotel is clean and rooms are perfect for a long weekend stay, breakfast was well stocked but the bar service on an evening was quite slow.
- FIONA (10/5): - We always enjoy the view over to the Montmartre hill and Sacré Coeur. Metro and buses so convenient. Flunch almost next door for quick meals.
- Judy (10/5): - Room was small but nice. No view but didn’t need it. Air conditioning was fabulous.
Staff was so helpful and it had a noon check out and they stored my bags.
- George (10/5): - I liked the convenient location. I found the staff to be extremely helpful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - It was a horrible room more like a prison cell. No amenities at all. no kettle, no fridge, nothing. The room had 1 power outlet hidden somewhere. It was a double bed but hardly suitable for one adult. They gave disabled bathroom, everything was at my waist height. Proper disaster. I don't recommend anyone.
- Nazer A (10/5): - Food around the area is very good
- Gerardo (10/5): - The hotel room and the breakfast were adequate by typical Paris standards. The location was very good and close to several train stations. Also very close to Moulin Rouge and the Wall of Love. Very easy to get around just beware the Paris rush hour when train stations and trains are full of locals going to work. If you start your day later, it’s better.
