Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible - My fiancee and I needed a room to stay in since we missed our flight. This was responsible and at a great location (near Gard du Nord train station). That's pretty much the only positive thing I have to say. The room smelled of cigarettes, and to make matters worse I woke up to bite marks down my leg! So definitely beware.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - +room size, location
-everything else
I doubt anyone from Expedia has visited this place. The photos are totally misleading.
- John (10/5): - Nice
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Tiny bathroom. If you are more than 5 feet tall you will probably not be able to sit on the toilet the space is so cramped.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing stay - We stayed just one night here. It was a great location and very convenient for being near Gare du Nord. However the room was very dusty and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. We were very disappointed and uncomfortable due to the lack of cleanliness unfortunately.
- Abdus (2/5): Less star hotel - It’s not one star hotel
- Yiu Ying (2/5): - Dirty and poor facilities
- Eric (8/5): - The location next to the Gare du Nord makes this hotel a great stopover. An excellent bed, good shower and quiet room make for good value.
- Nazim (6/5): One night.. job done - Does the job for one night 5 minutes from Gare du nord:-)
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Website pictures do not reflect reality. We did not stay in that dump even though I paid. Reception was a mess and there was garbage everywhere, even in the small elevator. Rooms were dirty, strong gas smell, bathroom filthy, toilet did not work. We left and did not stay . Hotels.com should seriously verify the places you have on your site.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was dirty with fittings hanging off the wall and broken light switches. The room was also very hot and noisy as it was directly off the reception.
- Niamh (2/5): - I realize the price is cheap but I wasn’t expecting bed bugs too. I have bites all over my arms and legs.
Wires hanging out of sockets, curtain rail not fixed to walls.
Well the hotel has made every effort to be as clean as possible the rooms require a major overhaul.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was tiny and dirty, very different from the pictures you can see on the website. The bathroom, in particular, was tiny with a nauseating musty smell. Last, my bed was infested by bedbugs and I had several insect bites all over my body.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bed Bugs!!!!! Room was extremely hot. There were two fans but only one worked. THe other would run and then turn off
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Rom clean but to hot. we were not able to open the windows..
- Jacob (2/5): - No aircon, super small, old, smelling mouldy. We were delighted to leave. It was a terrible experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff
Good central location close to metro
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I didn’t like my room
He was too small
Look at the bath room too small
- Verified traveler (4/5): - BED BUGS The area was convenient but extremely loud with a lot of unsavory individuals hanging around at all hours. The room was extremely small and dingy. There were ants and bed bugs. This hotel was overpriced and I do not recommend it even for one night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Excellent value for money and a good location. Everything to be expected for a two star hotel
- Verified traveler (4/5): Cheap and convenient - It smelled like semen
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent staff with friendly and kind customer service. Hotel is well located with Gare du Nord station very near and also restaurantes and shops.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Not good. Disappointing. I stayed for three days . No one come to clean the room
- Troy (8/5): Recommend if on a budget, and just need a bed - Very small room and tiny shower. But it was an ideal spot and price as I stopped over for a night as it’s right next to Gare du Nord. Very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Booked on 6th floor with the lift not working.
No plug in basin unable to get cold water and had to sit sideways to use the loo as it was so cramped.Said he would charge for taxe de sejour in the morning ..then forgot.. no phone .. one small towel,Extrenmely noisy lousy bed ,rather cold and unable to heat the place. One of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in spite of a heftyE 75.00 A complete no..no
- Suman (8/5): - room was a little congested with not much free space.
- Anwar (10/5): - There was a smell of smoke that lingered in the waiting room. But apart from that the lady at the reception was extremely helpful and the staff were extremely polite too. As a disabled person I was treated with respect and courtesy by al the staff and they were very accommodating. Amazing people with amazing attitudes.
- Jacqueline (6/5): OK for the price - OK for the price, handy for the Gare du Nord. Breakfast limited choice but suited us (muesli, good tea), service very friendly. Tiny bathroom, comfortable bed.
- Richie (4/5): Disgusting filthy place no bar really dirty smelly - No lounge bar in this hell hole it is disgusting filthy dirty, smelly really horrible place burnt holes in duvet and a tv that is 12” max at the ceiling level it really is rubbish
- Verified traveler (4/5): OK for what we needed - Rooms were very very warm which isn't a bad thing as we just opened the window but then there was street noise. Air con would be useful. Requested a double bed in advance and got 2 single beds shoved together. Also had ants which we only saw on our last night
- James (8/5): - Very very basic hotel, ideal bag drop hotel by the train station for those who want to spend more time exploring the city. Excellent value for money. Don't expect any great wonders from this place, but for a place to drop your bag, get back late at night, put your head down, get back on the train, it's ideal. The front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Need improving - Hotel is located in a good area. Few issues, however, could have made our stay better. Lift was not working, fire alarm took too long to be turned off, shower was rather small water splashed all over the floor, no light in the shower. Wi-fi signal on the 4th floor was very weak. Receptionist on shift was not ready for the check out
- Thatgirl (4/5): - The location was pretty good, and that is the main reason we booked this place.
- C K S RATWATTE (2/5): Very poor hotel - There were bed bugs on the bed, Most days the linen was not changed, The room was not cleaned, The shower was broken and when informed they did not give another room, The ventilator in the toilet was not working. Accept for Mohamed who was kind all other receptionist were not courteous, some were even arrogant.
- MARK (8/5): - Convenient to Gare Du Nord. Nice hotel and nice staff.
- Laura (6/5): - Hotel was very dirty and rooms were not as picture showed. Small and cramped. Bathroom door handle broken and no air conditioning or even fans in hotv ittle rooms. Room was very dirty.
- Aaron (2/5): - There were many bugs in the room, mainly around the bed and headboard. The cleanliness in the room was unacceptable, there was a used towel under the bed. The experience was terrible.
- Stefan (2/5): Avoid - Photos don’t look anything like the place. I want to know why Hotels.com would send their clients to a place where they haven’t verified what the hotel has to offer.
- Douglas (8/5): - Friendly staff and clean room. The bathroom was very small and there was no soap or shampoo provided. The location is excellent being just a short walk from Gare du Nord which makes it easy to get a train to the airport or the city.
- N (4/5): - Comparing to the price is not worth it plus the fact that it is not clean and there is no air condionner
- Verified traveler (2/5): Try to avoid - BEDBUGS, not cleaned well and the room was really hot. This area felt unsafe especially in the evening.
- Dan (2/5): This place was not what was pictured - We arrived at the hotel and checked in, our door was missing a number and there was one written crudely in sharpie. There were several holes in the wall, water damage on the ceiling, dust literally caked all over the lights above the bed, cigarette ash in the shower, no trash bags, mold breaking through the molding on the floor, no air conditioning, no wifi, a filthy common kitchen and rude staff who obviously are not interested in their customers comfort. I use expedia all the time because it is convenient and usually never disappoints but this is not the hotel advertised on your website. There isnt someone at the desk and they lock the door so we couldn't even access our hotel when we desired. By far the worst hotel experience I've ever had, I have stayed on couches in frat houses nicer than this room, I'm only 23 so I only need basic cleanliness and comfort and this was far from that. Me and my girlfriend felt dirty just being here, there is a broken lock on the door. This has got to violate false advertising laws
- A.T (4/5): Trust the reviews - Close to Paris Gare du nord station ,different kind of restaurants and bus no 42 to eiffel tower. But condition of hotel and rooms are poor. Building is very old, room is tiny and smelly. We stayed only one night. Most people will not be comfortable at this place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): hotel should not be licensed by the city of Paris - - no soap dispenser on the shower
- shower head can not be adjusted to shower
- they do not leave soap, neither shampoo
- electric plugs in the wall do not work
- they do not change bed sheets every day
- bathroom door lock does not work, can not be locked
Expedia should not promote this place as an hotel for tourists
We will report all this to the Paris authorities
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good location , tiny dirty room - I expected a small room but that was too tiny. I requested twin beds but the room had a small double bed which was curved in the middle. Room was not cleaned daily. There were ants in the room.
- rany (2/5): Bugs and not clean at all - First of all the Receiption guy are helpful but the problem the hotel full of bugs our body bites from bugs and our closes and bags as well I don’t recommend it to any one and nothing available in this hotel
- Trevor (6/5): Probably wouldn’t return. - Front facing rooms are very loud. Heat seemed to be cranked right up. Bed had a big divot right in the middle. Price was ok.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location but not the best condition - Hotel was in a great location, bus stop right outside. Felt old and run down inside with some black mould on the bathroom
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location. Room is clean & friendly staff. Get wht you pay for.
- Philip (2/5): Sewer smell! - This hotel needs to close, on arrival the rooms window was wide open and there was a funny smell, I checked the bed, sheets were new but had stains and a hole in duvet cover, bathroom very dirty, closed bathroom door and window and left room after checkin arrived back at 10:30 to find the bathroom stank of the sewer. To late to sort anything else out, closed the bathroom door and opened the window, noise from outside kept me drifting in and out of sleep, couldn’t stay anymore and left at 5:30AM to then having to freshen up in public toilets in Eurostar, this hotel is not worth booking at any cost, sorry to write such a bad review, this hotel needs to close and tidy up its act before paying customers can stay. Writing this at 7:30AM I feel I can still smell that smell, can’t wait to get home and have a shower.
- Omar (4/5): Only thing good about hotel is price and location. - Well, I knew this was a gamble when I read the reviews, but it was 100 or so euros cheaper than the nearest hotels that barely rated better and figured the pictures made it look "ok".
So arrived, staff was nice enough but straight away I knew most of their website photos were heavily "air brushed or had snapchat filters applied" making them look alot more nice than they actually were. So yeah the rooms were pretty run down, shower head was ok but bathrooms were very small, typical europe. I could have suffered through this and the tiny lift but the bedding although technically fresh, had someone's hair on them and well the bed sank in the middle so that sucked.
But what was the final straw for me and what made me cancel the 3 other nights and leave just after one night was the internet was barely functional in "any" room, and we tried quite a few. So yeah they need to offer "something" for this hotel being the facilities are so poor and worn out and internet was one thing they could have given themselves some grace with, but they didn't. So my recommendation is to avoid this hotel, it's just not worth the hassle and savings.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Will not stay there again. - The front desk staff were super nice. But you get what you pay for. 2 people with one to 2 towels. No soap or shampoo. Tho we carry ours. Totally unclean and smelly. Old features. Broken faucet. Awful place. But again, we got what we paid for. And we use it to try to sleep only. 2nd night, super loud due to some kids screaming out loud calling their mum from the hallway in the 2nd floor to the hallways in the first floor.
- Andy (4/5): Backpacker - 1* hotel or hostel at best, breakfast poor value, go to the nearest patisserie. Location is its good point, 5 mins from gare du nord.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Gare du nord. - Central and accessible for all train lines. Friendly staff however no maid service even though we were there for 3 nights, had to ask for more toilet paper. Cheap and reasonably cheerful. Would have been nice to have a fan in the room as during our stay the heat was mostly 28 degrees.
- RKT (2/5): Bed bugs ! It is we got ! - It was ok for the price until we have bug bed !
It was a horrible thing .
- Olanike (8/5): Very good value for money but bad odour in rooom - Clean small room. Good service. But there was a bad odour coming from the bathroom that spread to the room. I had to buy a fragrant candle. They need to see to this. Loved the balcony. Bus 42 to the city centre and Eiffel Tower from just outside the hotel entrance very convenient. A major asset.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice staff, but untidy - It was good for my short stay, but the room was so dirty. Hadn't been cleaned, the floor had rubbish and dust, it hadn't been swept. The sink and toilet hadn't been cleaned at all, not even flushed (there was hair in there). Staff were friendly and helpful
- Verified traveler (4/5): - All the rooms are not air-conditioned. Only 1 small electric fan is provided. You have to open the window when you are in the room or the room will be extremely stuffy. The surrounding is so noisy that you cannot go to sleep. The rooms are not properly maintained, especially the bathroom where the ventilation fan and the light bulb were broken.
- sue Naples Fl (4/5): Close to Gare du Mord - Very basic hotel. Tiny rooms that feel like a student dorm. Had an unpleasant smell around the premises. Avoid the breakfast if you can and go down the road to a brasserie.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was too small for three people. It was unconfortable also bacause there isn't air conditioning and it wasn't possible to open the window during the night due to the street noises. It is not a good place during the summer.
- sue (4/5): Feels like a college dorm - Very small. Not at all clean. Seedy and lookalike you could rent by the hour..it is convenient to Gare Du Nord.
- BBA (2/5): It was not clean, only one person friendly. - When we arrived the young seemed that we were bothering him when checking in. The floor in the room was dirty, I ended up cleaning it. The older man was helpful and pleasant with directions. We constantly asked for toilet paper. The Expedia person that recommended the hotel was way off!!!!
- S (4/5): Avoid unless you don't mind - The only thing going for this this hotel is the location which is perfect for Gare du Nord, lots of food places as well. Other than that the room isn't very clean, one of our rooms had a bad odour, the bathroom is way to small, the daytime receptionist never greets you. There was also insects and lose tiles in the shower.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not value for money - Not clean, bad room service, too much noice from outside and inside. Not value for money.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Small room squeek bed - the room is small. The bed squeek with every move. The bathroom is extra tiny and legs can easily touch the sink.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good hotel but be careful for payment method - Good Hotel. Close to Gare Du Nord Station. Co-operative front office staff.
Only trouble that I had was payment. Hotel machine was totally dusty due to renovation and it did not accept any of my 5 different cards. I was forced to withdraw cash and make payment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, walking distance from Gare du Nord - The staff were helpful and the rooms comfortable. Close to train station and easy to get around.
- Kerry (6/5): Passing thru Paris - The room was very small but fine for one night. We were traveling on a early train the next morning and it is very close to the stations. You must walk up one flight of stairs with suitcases to get to the family suite, so that could be a big problem for someone with disabilities. Other wise, it was ok.
- KOK HOE E. (4/5): good location - The location is strategic but the receptionist is not that friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very close to Gare du Nord - The hotel was in a fantastic location for arriving after dark. Very close to Gare Du Nord. The accommodation was very comfortable with nice basic and warm room. The staff were helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): fair - The room was clean and staff were polite. Good location to Eurostar and underground station and Bus 42 and 48 bus stop to serval tourist visiting locations just outside the hotel. Supermarkets were nearby.
A walllamp was broken without repaired. Only two powerpoint socklets were not enought for us to recharge the mobile phones and camers etc. Repainting the doors and lift renovation were suggested.
- Kien (6/5): Small room for short stay - It's ok for a short stay. Room and elevator are small.
- Laura (2/5): TERRIBLE!! DO NOT STAY HERE! - TERRIBLE!! DO NOT STAY HERE! The room was so small, hot, dirty. The service was rude and unprofessional. We could not even both stand up in the room with luggage on the floor. The bathroom was filthy.
- Amber (4/5): Way too small for way too much money - Other reviews told us that the room would be small but that since you are visiting Paris and would be out and about, the room size wouldn't be that big of a deal. So I expected the room to be small. I did not however, expect the room to be as small as it was. We booked a room with a double bed and a single bed. There was only about 10 square feet total of space in the room, half of which needed to be taken up by our two suitcases on the ground. The biggest problem however was the bathroom. It was about 2.5 feet wide and maybe 6 feet long. The shower was a square 2.5x2.5 feet. I couldn't take a shower without constantly bumping into the wall, and I am not that big of a person. You also could not dry off after the shower, without opening the door and drying off partly in the room because there just wasn't enough room between the shower, sink and toilet. The room was clean and the staff friendly, but the dimensions and size of the room made it unbearable that we switched hotels for the rest of our stay in Paris. We ended up paying the same exact price for 4 times the space, a great bathroom and air conditioning a block a way. In reality, this hotel should be charging half the price for what you get compared to other hotels.
- Andrew (4/5): Basic, good location but tired. - Hotel was very basic and room was very small. No air conditioning. Rooms and reception were clean and tidy. Area was a good with being so close to train station and also walking distance to sacre coer.
- aileen (4/5): Overcharge - Was overcharged on my stay and promised a refund on the next working day. Has been over a month ago and all I have was a single reply from my email asking for the details of my stay. No apology or assurance of sorting out the problem.
- Elaine (8/5): Great location - Stayed for one night and found this hotel allowed to us do a lot in one day because of where it was located. I booked it because it's literally down the street from the train station but the guy at the front desk explained to us how to take the bus to popular destinations, which is a lot cheaper than the metro. The bus stop is right outside the front door, just bring change. The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller but we didn't really have a problem with either. The neighborhood felt safe as well. Overall I would stay here again.
- Salma (6/5): Awesome staff - Though the rooms are not so big, they are rather clean. Shower and toilet are rather small but if you are out for most of the day I do not see it to be so important for it to be extravagent.
The staff - especially the receptionist Karim, was very friendly and chatted with us. He gave recommended good restraunts and places to visit. This is my second time staying at this hotel and it is mainly because of the staff.
- Joe (6/5): Get what you pay for: small hotel in Paris - My wife and I checked in a day and a half late and they had "no record" of our booking. Like bad tourists we took the room offered (the receptionist "cleaned" it himself) and were asked to pay "maybe tomorrow morning". The morning receptionist had no issue finding our booking and didn't even make us pay the night we didn't stay (even though I offered). Upon checking out early morning, the same night manager rang up the total and only relented when we told him we could present an invoice and a receipt (he promptly said: "oh, here it is on the computer"). The room was awfully dirty the first night, but the following days were fine as the maid cleaned it herself. It's small, it's funky, and that's what you'll get in Paris unless you go to the Ritz. The fact of the matter is that you shouldn't be spending much time in your room anyways... it's Paris.
All in all, we won't go back to Hotel Maubeuge because they did try to rip us off and I have the aching suspicion that our stay was content by pure luck.
- Michael M. (8/5): Paris Soccer Trip - The hotel met all our expectations. Only issues was getting into the hotel late at night required an attendent to unlock the front door. This could take a couple minutes but was not an issue after the first night.
- TAN (6/5): A good choice of stay - About 5 min walk from Gare Du Nord Station. Lots of eateries (Buffalo Grill is good) nearby. Just next to the hotel, there's a Asian food (acceptable taste with good economic price) and a few shops away, there's local bakery (nice bakery) and supermarket. Reception provide advise on travelling around. There's a bus stop in front of the hotel (Bus 42 bring you to few attraction points including Eiffel Tower, Galeris Layette, etc). The assigned room was fine but toilet and bath area was separate hence the toilet was compact. Nice and friendly reception are willing to help us by reassign another room with toilet and bath area together(subject to availability ). And we got the room we want. We were there for 3 nights...towel was not replaced but reused. As the room we slept was facing the road, it could be a bit noisy for some people when the road was busy. For a 2-star hotel, it was consider a good choice of stay.
- diana (8/5): Reasonable hotel close to amenities - Hotel was ok & close to all amenities. Was really hot in room as radiators were on all night, had to sleep with patio doors open which created a bit of outside noise . Staff were all nice & friendly
- Siti Khadijah (10/5): Good - The room was warm. Inside the toilet, the hotel got special rope for hanging washed clothes. The rest is perfect. There's a nice french bakery, grocery shops and pharmacies near to the hotel. Very near to the gare du nord.
- Mary (4/5): dreadful bed! - Handy for the station, but we had a very uncomfortable night
- Verified traveler (6/5): My stay at Hotel Maubeuge - Plenty of cafes and convenience stores around the hotel.
- Kerry (6/5): Fine for what it is - The good: on the whole this wasn't a bad place. The location is great for a short stop and just across the street from the Gare du Nord. The wifi worked and the beds were fine. It was clean and basic. The bathroom was decent and while the hand held shower was a little hard to use it was fine otherwise
Problems: The elevator was tiny and the call button on the 5th floor was broken out. The room was very small, and two persons maximum. When we checked in, the maid had left her universal key in the door, the one that would open all the rooms. We turned it in at the desk and they were obviously shocked, but it was a little spooky.
If you aren't too pick this is a fine place to stay and really convenient for the airport train and the Eurostar or Thalys.
- Maria Melod (6/5): Good location near to metro station - Ideal for a bed and breakfast stay, a very small room as expected. Beddings and mattresses to be replaced as it is already old. It is a very good location near to Gare du Nord metro station and high speed trains going to Germany, Belgium, UK etc. Plenty of establishments, cafes, restaurants, grocery store and walking distance to Sacre Coeur Basilica. Thanks to the helpful staff of the hotel.
- Saleem (2/5): A terrible hotel experience - The hotel was terrible and the house keeping was worse, no towels- you had to ask for them, then at least we got the towels, no soap, no glasses for water.
Overall i would not recommend it to anyone
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good for safety that entrance door is locked at night and someone is available 24h/24. Wish to have quiet room was not fulfilled (street side and next to elevator instead). Toilet was not completely clean.
- Kallen (4/5): - The location is really convenient as it's located at the center near Gare du Nord. It's not difficult to find it. Bed and bathroom are in acceptable conditions but my bathroom door is broken and can't be locked. And soundproof of the room is not good as I can hear clearly when people passing through the corridor in the morning.
- Ashwin (2/5): bad choice, only if you don't get anything else! - Not really great stay. The room was small, very small and an add geometry.And...the bathroom, even smaller. It was not possible to bend down to pick up the soap without hurting yourself. The decor of the room was dull. Won't stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): An affordable hotel for a short stay - This hotel is very close to Gare du Nord. The neighborhood is OK, but not great, although I don't feel any danger or something like that. I chose it because it is affordable. Hotel is small but clean. There is a tiny old elevator sending to upper floor. My room is tiny, equipped with a shower and a toilet. There is a TV, but I don't speak French. The bed is big enough for normal-size couple. There is a small safer. Hotel's employee at the front desk speaks fluent English and is very helpful. My room was cleaned everyday everyday. The continental breakfast is provided at extra charge. However, the lady organizing the breakfast was late on the day I left for the train station. The front desk refunded my money, so no hurt done. In general, I recommend this hotel to a single traveller for a short stay. If you are a family, you might want to consider a larger (more expensive) hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): location is good - bathroom is small. condition of the room is acceptable, but it is costly.
- Andris (6/5): value for the money - We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and i think there isn't much more you can get for the money you pay. The room was clean and tidy, we even had a balcony which was very nice! Location is great, 2minute walk from Gare Du Nord, right outside the hotel there is a bus stop with direct buses to eiffel tower or louvre..Breakfast available for reasonable prise. If will go to Paris again, will definitely stay there again.
- Antonio Barbieri (6/5): Excelent for the low budget traveler! - No friils hotel, a little bit noise, there was no toothpaste and breakfast was not included. Nervertheless, it was clean, cheap, near Gare du Nord and also near cheap but good restaurants. If you are in a tight budget, this hotel is a must!
- telric (8/5): We'll be back - Nice location, friendly staff tiny room(as most in europe) but very clean with comfy beds.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Walking distance from Paris Nord train station - We chose this hotel because of location and multilingual staff. About a five minute walk from the Paris north train station (Gare du Nord). Kind of hard to find, but the white sign says hotel vertically in green letters. The front desk spoke English. Next door is a mini market with drinks and light snacks, with decent prices. Walking distance are various food choices for lunch or dinner.
The hotel serves breakfast starting 7:30am for a small fee. There is free Internet usable with a password, just ask. Speed is decent. There's a fan in the room and the windows open. There are two European outlets for charging. There a small flat screen TV with remote. Adequate lighting in the room. There's a small two person lift (elevator). There's luggage storage for early check.
The bathroom is tiny. I'm petite as it is, but I had trouble managing such a small space to shower. It's narrow and the shower stall is a small box with a curtain, so the only light is that which coming thru the curtain. It is relatively clean, and the fixtures and walls look like it has been remodeled and upgraded.
I've stayed in bad holes before, and this place is pretty good. Its a hot shower and a nice good place to lay your head for a night. Not for big families, but a single bed for a person or couple on a budget.
- Dowell (2/5): - The bed was clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): I wouldn't be surprised if it was a brothel - Would rather stay at bates motel. Place was dirty, service was non existent, rooms weren't serviced, and there was an overwhelming number of middle aged men meeting 20 something year old 'nieces'. Sure it's close to GDN but not worth it. The ONLY redeeming feature was that the room had a small balcony (handy if you're so depressed by the horrible room you want to jump off it).
- jerry (6/5): Paris - This is a unique place to stay. It is very close to the Gare de Nord train station which is great and they have several buses stop outside their front door that allow you to get to anywhere you want in Paris. The internet is lousy at best and breakfast is a bit light for the cost. The neighborhood is nice as it has lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants. Staff speaks English and is very helpful.
