Perhaps more attention needed on maintenance as the door lock failed on our room which caused a delay to us being able to go to sleep. Staff were very polite and helpful but the situation was not good when o had young children who needed to be able to go to sleep promptly.

- Marc (10/5): Magnifique hôtel légendaire au coeur de Saïgon. - -pouvoir séjourner dans un magnifique hôtel légendaire, -accueil et personnel agréable et efficace -le confort et la décoration majestueuse de notre chambre, -la coupe de fruits pour notre bienvenue, -la vue sur le fleuve depuis notre chambre et son animation sons et lumières de la ville, -pouvoir profiter de la piscine, -être au coeur d'un beau quartier et vivre l'animation de la ville tout en étant au calme dans la chambre, -la qualité du buffet pour le petit déjeuner, le diner au bar du rez de chaussée -le restaurant à l'étage proposait au diner une animation musicale trop forte ne permettant pas de parler avec compréhension (avis subjectif car cela ne semble pas gêner certains clients). la solution de diner au bar est plus calme.

Los desayunos, de las mejores recepciones y hall de entrada. Por poner algo quizá a los clientes que prefieran el silencio a pesar de que Saigon es una ciudad muy bulliciosa y la localización del hotel esté en el mismo centro neurálgico. Las habitaciones que dan a la piscina serán su opción.

Extensive breakfast on offer with great river view. Traffic noise in the room was noticable, but given location it was to be expected and was not an issue after the first couple of days.

La chambre est propre, literie confortable, et la salle de bain est bien équipée. Rien. Le descriptif est fidèle à la réalité. Peut-être la salle de sport qui mériterait un équipement plus moderne ( tapis de course notamment).

I complained and they moved us to a bigger room but this directly under the kitchen area and we had to complain 3 times about the noise after 10.30pm when we had an early morning flight. They did think we deserved any gesture for the inconvenience. Do to the celebration day they closed the sky bar unless you had the buffet - so it was not available - no notice on booking.com

- MIHRICAN (8/5): - Das Majestic ist ein recht altes Hotel, das sein 100-jähriges Bestehen feiert. Von außen sieht das Hotel beeindruckend aus, und auch die Lage ist ideal, da viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, Einkaufszentren usw. in der Nähe liegen. Die Zimmer sind schön, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Ein Teil des Gebäudes ist neu. Die Innenausstattung des alten Teils ist etwas veraltet. Das Frühstück wird auf der Dachterrasse mit Blick auf die Hauptstraße und den Fluss serviert. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist in Ordnung und angemessen. Vielleicht hätte ich mir eine viel bessere Auswahl erwartet. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Pool mit einigen Liegen zum Entspannen und Ausruhen. Als alleinreisende Frau habe ich mich sicher gefühlt. Mein Zimmer war als Zimmer ohne Fenster gebucht, und ich bat um ein anderes Zimmer und bekam eines im älteren Teil des Hotels mit Balkon, von dem aus man auf die alten Gebäude in der Umgebung blicken konnte. Die Aussicht war nicht besonders schön, aber für mich waren der Balkon und das Licht wichtiger. Das Frühstück hätte besser sein können und hätte mehr Auswahl bieten können.

Die Lage ist für Aktivitäten in der Stadt zentral und man erreicht schnell die schönsten Punkte in der Stadt. Von außen ist das Hotel sehr schön und der Frühstücksbereich ist wundeerbar. Auf Grund der Straße und der zahlreichen Klimanalagen und anderen Einrichtungen ist es im Haus und am Pool für uns immer zu laut gewesen und die Einrichtung entspricht nicht mehr aktuellem Standard, vor allem für den Preis. Die Preise für nicht alkoholische Getränke waren teurer als im 5Sterne Hotel in Singapore.

We had room with balcony facing the river. The room was a very good size and bed super comfortable and quiet, we really did not hear any traffic noise outside. - Sharon (10/5): - What was there not to like!!! We booked a suite because booking.com was running a special. The room was magnificent with beautiful old furniture and loads of space. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom large with great pressure in the shower but only a hand rose clipped to the wall over a bath. All the staff in all areas were lovely, foyer, coffee shop, M Bar, Sky bar, pool and the night time turn down staff. We had a late plane out on our last day and the hotel had no problem with storing our luggage while we went for a walk after check out then came back and lazed by the pool for several hours and showered at the pool. Would recommend the hotel to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to stay again Nothing to not like but a few improvements could be made. Just missing a power point for charging on one side of the bed. Typical of old buildings but easy to fix these days with charging points in lamps etc. The linen is a bit tired with some clever appliqué to cover thread bare sections but still very very clean and comfortable.

The staff's attitude is excellent and they are very helpful. Most of them are able to communicate in English. Noisy, mainly from Friday-Sunday with loud noise from nearby hotel's rooftop music band or something. Hotel provided earplug.

- Nicole (9/5): Top verblijf - Bij binnenkomst voelt het hotel heel chic aan en dat was het ook! Wij hadden een hele mooie grote kamer met uitzicht op de rivier, echt top! Het hotel ligt wel aan een drukke straat maar dat hoorde je alleen als je de deur open had staan van je balkon. De skybar is ook zeker aan te raden en het hotel heeft een zwembad. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en aan de receptie spraken ze goed Engels. Niets

- Joe and Carmel (10/5): - Very lovely traditional hotel. Large rooms with high ceilings. Right next to the Saigon river and close to tourist spots. Taxis are cheap and we're organised by the concierge. They were very helpful for all our needs. Very cheerful staff and the service was excellent.

- Terry Lobert (10/5): Perfect stay in the centre of the city. - Wonderful facilities and great staff. The room was very spacious, comfortable, well appointed and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Rooftop bar/restaurant was great with good views over the river. The swimming pool was very good and great for cooling off after a hot day of sightseeing. Couldn't ask for more. There is nothing not to like.

Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre en raison du bruit de la rue et on nous a immédiatemernt trouvé une autre chambre, plus spacieuse, qui donnait à l'arrière. Le niveau sonore était nettement atténué, mais il faut savoir que l'hôtel se trouve sur l'une des artères les plus bruyantes de la ville. Le petit déjeuner est magnifique avec un service au top.
