• dereck (8/5): - The hotel is safe and at the center of everything. I booked the room with a balcony and the street noise bothered me at night. I arrived on New Year eve and I was able watching the New Year countdown right at the room's balcony. Breakfast was delicious but the hotel offered almost identical dishes each day. The hand-held shower head could not aim directly to my head, instead it aimed at the wall. The hotel needs to work with the constructor/designer about the insulation to reduce street noise and the shower head.

• Vuong (10/5): - I am impressed with the renovated property, as I was been here over 10 year ago. The room was layout simplicity make it look spacious than before, but it still looks classic. this hotel is central location so there is problem to get to find thing here.

Sheraton is across from the hotel and other restaurants are nearby walking distance is great to the river. Hallway is too smoky, can smell the cigarette.

BUT, the safe didnt work, there was night roadworks all night for 6 nights and the noise from them was sooooo loud. The balcony was never swept or cleaned the time we were there. The tv is fixed to the wall....on an angle. The carpet was not vacumed at all and was filthy. We didnt eat at the hotel as the food is expensive and there are so many food vendors within 100 meters for a fraction of the price and the food tastes soo good. This is a nice place to stay if you can handle the lower end of fancy. Some paint, carpet and curtains would really make a big difference cause the staff are there biggest asset. Allan R

• Robert (2/5): very old depressing ugly hotel not worth it - This hotel was a huge let down. Its old and run down. We were put at the back with a window overlooking a filthy area. It had very old furniture and terrible old dirty carpeting. Its really way overpriced. The girl at reception was abrupt when we requested a better room and told us this is what we paid for. The buffet breakfast is for the Chinese tourist only.
• L.H. (6/5): Bông Sen - This is our 2nd time at this hotel. After many complaints about my first stay at this hotel, my second experience is much better. The room is in a better section (your left) when you come in the hotel on the 9th floor. The room is more spacious and is more comfortable but the floor carpet is still not very clean and should be replaced by ceramic or wood. The water, like the other room, is still leaking on the floor when you shower even with the curtain drawn along the tub. The room would deserve to be a 3 stars had we not have these 2 issues as the rooms and the hotel are very dated.

• jonathan (6/5): shame.... too many door slamming - The hotel can be 4 stars easily in my opinion if it tackle the following 2 problems: 1) Replace the grandpa looking aircon 2) Installed speed controller in those main doors..... i was awaken repeatedly, in the late night or early morning by the fellow hoteliers who open or close the doors so strong (slamming) and accidentally that it simply cause the unnecessarily "bang" "bang" "bang" sounds...... I don't really enjoy the stay as a result.... the aircon is fine afterall. i doubt i will return.

I was given a connecting room with twin beds (I was a solo traveler) where the perculator does not work. Also, when I was trying to locate the outlet by the bedside, i found a thick amount of dust which has triggered my allergies. Thank God I was just transiting and only used this hotel for 9 hours.
