Guest (10/5): This was a great stay. - Check-in was quick and easy. We went to the airport to family and friends. On our return we had something to drink at the bar where the bartender was also very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and safe. N/A.

Andrew (9/5): Competitive Sandton hotel with friendly staff - The place is well located near Sandton. It is within a complex with a large balcony, so you don’t feel like you’re restricted to a room in a hotel. The breakfast was amazing and the staff are super friendly. The place is a little tired, but still very comfortable. Given the price compared to the rest of Sandton it was competitively priced for the quality.
Vidyut (6/5): Needs a major upgrade - Courtyard chain has been a preferred hotel for my stays in Johannesburg. While the location of their properties which I has stayed multiple times (Sandton & Rosebank) is very good, rooms are very spacious, the staff is very courteous the biggest let down over my past 2/3 stays has been downgrade of their rooms in terms of furniture, maintenance, look and feel. They are dated and need a major upgrade. While room design is dates, Pre-Covid I seldom found broken door handles, Iron, pantry items, etc. There is an Urgent need to upgrade else they will lose a loyal customer.

Andre (7/5): Lovely stay at the Courtyard Hotel In sandton. - The property is close to Sandton city but it is far enough not to be a busy huddle of traffic and cars. The gardens have trees and it is an open air Oasis in a busy Metropolitan area. Our room was confortable and roomy. It has a lovely bar kitchen with Espresso coffee machine, fridge and wash up area. We liked staying at the property

These are not hotel rooms… these are apartments so 2 separate bedrooms both with Ensuite and one with a bath it was great for us! Felt very safe, all area was gated and secure and all drivers scanned and sign in for Ubers etc
Chadya (4/5): clean room, but tired hotel, which is overpriced for what it offers - The staff are friendly and helpful There was no shower gel in the bathroom, the bathroom makes noise from the pipes after flushing, inadequate sound proofing you hear the next room, and you here the toilet next door. the place is noisy from the rivonea road traffic, there is no wheel chair access to the rooms, the ballustrades upstairs are rusted, it is dangerous getting into the hotel from the busy rivonea road - the hotel should consider making the entrance wider and or getting it to move a bit inside from the main road, the price is high for no breakfast, i only realised when at the facvility that the R2000 excluded breakfast coz when i searched on booking.com i search for facilities that offer bed and breakfast, there is no 2 pin charge port on the power sockets, there is no power in socket in the bedroom, when you open the back door, it looks unclean and oldpanited outside making the small balcony unattractive

Management literally took no responsibility for what we endured. - Did not have breakfast at the venue This venue did not have water, We slept without washing. We phoned reception four times . The Gentleman kept on saying the water will soon come up. Nothing happened. In other words he literally lied to us. In the morning we had to wash with cold water which was brought to us in bottles. The hotel never even gave an apology to us. A very sad state of affairs. The accommodation did not worth the amount charged to us.

I was traveling with my colleague whose card was charged three times in a row with different amounts before arriving at the hotel. The young lady at the reception was not helpful at all. After charging my credit card already, once I was at the reception, she asked if she could charge my card again.

Salosony (7/5): relaxing - but a very short stay - The Breakfast was very good at an extra charge of ZAR 195.00 per person additional to the room charge ( i was travelling solo but didn't have the option of a reduced charge) The room sleeps two. The breakfast lounge was quiet and comfortable - staff and Chef an absolute pleasure I would have loved a coffee station in the room. Arrived at 4pm to dress up and leave at 5.30pm to a restuarant very close by. Got back at 2am and checked out at 10.30 am after breakfast - would have loved to stay longer to relax.

Everyone very friendly and helpful and I had an excellent breakfast on the Sunday I checked out.

The breakfast was awesome and delicious. I loved the bed, so comfy and cozy and felt better than my own. I will definitely be back and recommend your property to all my colleagues. My short stay!

The rooms were very big (one of the rooms had a large balcony with a table and chairs) and the kitchenette was a good addition. We appreciated the complimentary water and juice. I liked the fact that we could park right in front of the stairs to our room. The rooms weren't cleaned properly before our stay so the carpet was dirty with a hair band left untouched from the previous guest and hairs in the bathroom and on one of the beds. When I complained, the manager apologized and the cleaners took extra care to clean our rooms.

Kibur (9/5): I have enjoyed greatly my stay at this hotel. - The location is convenient for me as it is near the workshop venue. Easy to locate. 10 minutes walking distance from Mandela square. There are shops and supermarkets in front of the hotel. Very clean. Every thing works in the room. The room has mini-kitchen. Has ironing board and an iron. Spacious With this price, it would have been good if they don't charge extra fees for break fast.
Liz (1/5): I had a terrible stay in this hotel. - The location was good. Wifi was less then 10Mgbs and very unstable. The room was filthy - pitch-black socks after 5 mins. The garden patio off my room was covered in litter, untended, unwatered (dead), unswept. No plug-points next to the beds. In-room phone not working. Only warm water coming out of the taps, not hot. They said to leave it running for longer, but surely a full bath is leaving it long enough? Staff not willing or able to sort out any problems. Senior management not willing to return my calls of complaint - left 3 messages. Manager on duty also made no contact. The hotel is old and very dated, probably not touched since the 80s.
