• Norain (10/5): Overall we had an amazing stay at Grand Yavuz Hotel - It is conveniently located near major attractions, including Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was very nice. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. They also arranged private airport transfers for us, which made traveling with a baby much easier. A special mention to Umay from guest relations, who surprised me with birthday decorations, cake, and fruit in our hotel room—even though we hadn’t mentioned it in advance. Such a thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated. None

Breakfast had a decent spread. Our room was spacious, nice bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Guest Relations person at the Yavuz hotel, Umay Atalay made our stay very special. She provided great guidance, was caring and friendly. I would rate her 10 out of 10. Nothing to report here.

• Rafael (8/5): Una agradable estancia en un hotel bien situado - La ubicación es buena, a 10 minutos andando del Gran Bazar y del tranvía para poder visitar todas las zonas céntricas de Estambul La recepción inicial no fue la mejor, llevábamos una noche de Stopover de Turquish Airlines con extensión de más noches ya reservadas con cama de matrimonio y no lo tuvieron en cuenta. Tuvimos que reclamar y es verdad que nos dieron mejores habitaciones con vistas, pero no es agradable llegar y que ignoren tus reservas

• Margaret (9/5): - We had a very pleasant two nights stay at this hotel as part of the Turkish Airlines Stopover program for one complementary night. The location is within walking distance (approx. 10 – 15min ) to the Sultanahmet area (Hagia Sophia etc.) the T1 tram stop and restaurants. The staff was friendly especially Umay who was also very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Our room and bathroom were modern, clean and spacious. They served a nice complementary reception with tea, sandwiches, cookies and fruit between 3-5pm and breakfast included a variety of items.

También tuvieron el detalle de obsequiarnos con una cesta de fruta y una botella de vino junto a una felicitación de cumpleaños a mi marido. Lo peor fueron las camas. Aunque me cambiaron de habitación, la cama no era cómoda y las almohadas demasiado altas y duras. Además, el WC tenía un problema de mal olor en las cañerías. El personal del hotel no habla nada de español y la calidad del desayuno muy regular.

• MLIS (10/5): Stopover da Turkish em hotel muito bem localizado e confortável, ótimo atendimento, excelente café - A recepção do gerente foi ótima, simpático e gentil, deixou chocolates no quarto e fez lanches para o dia da saída às 05:45am. Nos foi dado um upgrade de quarto, o quarto é bonito e novo, tem luminárias para leitura, chuveiro com bastante pressão e água bem quente. Amenidades, secador de cabelo ótimo, chaleira e cafés/chás, chinelos. Excelente localização, fomos a pé até o Palácio Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque e até mesmo a Torre de Gálata (um pouco mais distante mas é um bom passeio e passa por um bairro para turistas cheio de restaurantes e comércio e uma mesquita cuja entrada é gratuita e é linda, imperdível). Café da manhã excelente, tanto ocidental como oriental. Eu experimentei o hotel como bônus oferecido pela Turkish airlines (ganhei uma noite e paguei outra) e achei excelente tanto o hotel como a oportunidade de conhecer Istambul. Tudo ótimo. Sugiro fornecer condicionador para os cabelos. Isso tem muito nos hotéis do Brasil, mas não tanto no exterior. Fica a sugestão.

• Danilo (10/5): Buena ubicación, excelente servicio de parte del personal - Lo que más me gustó fue el servicio de la encargada de Guest Relations, Umay. Ella nos acompañó durante toda nuestra estadía con consejos para aprovechar el hotel y con comentarios sobre la cultura turca. Ella habla muy bien español, lo cual fue de gran ayuda dado que nosotros hablamos español. Este hotel está cerca de diversos puntos turísticos, se puede ir caminando a las principales mezquitas de Estambul. A la tarde había opción de un té de cortesía, algo que no había visto en ningún otro hotel y se agradece mucho. Además al cerrar mi estadía nos dieron un café de cortesía también. Puedo decir que en este hotel sentí un trato humano y cálido, esa es la diferencia. Hoteles hay muchos pero el diferencial hoy en día es cómo tratan a las personas y cómo lo hacen sentir.

Muchos lugares donde comer cerca y llegas caminando a muchos lugares turísticos. La gente del hotel muy amable. Ojo con la entrada a santa sofia! No tiene q ver con el hotel pero aprovecho para advertir. Te estafan con la entrada en la boletería, te dicen q pagando una entrada más cara tienes mas acceso y es mentira, como no musulmanes solo se accede al balcón, el extra q te cobran es para el museo, si quieren visitarlo genial, pero no es lo q te dicen cuando sacas la entrada! Así q ojo con eso. Solo saquen la entrada más básica para santa sofia.

Breakfast spread was amazing, loved local cheese and bread variety. The Internet was a huge problem, it kept disconnecting our entire stay and we couldn't use it at all. We also couldn't control the thermostat at night it became so warm 🥵. There was no iron in the room.

It was a good decision choosing this hotel. Because of the location that is close to the historical sites in Sultanahmed area. We had a bit if a problem with the blanket. And they willingly change the blanket to a brand new one.

Loved the inclusion of traditional offering for breakfast including the slab of honey on the comb that goes with the numerous cheeses. The rooms were great. The bathroom was beautiful, clean and very functional. Our room was high with sea views which was amazing, with blue mosque in one corner, and the other the expanse of the Marmara. Even the hallways had the old world charm, gold patterned wall paper with oil paintings you might see in old castles not ikea. The staff was amazing, at breakfast the head waiter helped explain some of the ‘Turkish’ offerings and rarely was an emptied plate left on tables more than a glance. The maitre d at the roof top restaurant had that charm that reminds me of old Hollywood movies. Our meals were faultless, and the views were stunning. After our day on trains, planes and automobiles we headed to the roof restaurant for our first hungry meal in Istanbul after checking in, and we got a delightful sunset view over the sea. I didn’t like the weather Istanbul gave us on the 2nd day. The winds were icy, and the rain pounded our window. There was a tower by the shore and the waves rose to 2/3s its height on numerous counts. Given the age of most building in the old town, it was not surprising that leaks happened. 1 call to reception and 2 minutes later, the window leak was inspected, and housekeeping attended to the small mess and towels laid. From the look of the sill, it wasn’t the first occurrence, but what mattered was how it was dealt with. 10 out of 10 on my books.

• Corina (10/5): O vacanță extrem de reușită! - Micul dejun ok, locația foarte bună. Nu mi-a plăcut faptul că prietenii noștri au fost cazați într-o cameră de la etajul 5, respectiv 503, cât o cutie de chibrituri, pentru 5 nopți, deși lângă camera noastră 417( cea mai bună din hotel) exista posibilitatea să fie cazați! Nu mi-a plăcut nici faptul că am fost deranjați de recepționer în seara de 1 ianuarie pentru că au cazat lângă noi persoane aflate în tranzit, în loc să-i cazaze pe prietenii noștri. Menționez că între cele 2 camere exista o ușă de trecere. La prețul de 2700 de euro, pe care l-am plătit pentru 5 zile de vacanță mă așteptam la puțin mai multă decență din partea recepției! În rest totul a fost super, din punctul meu de vedere.
• KAMRAN (10/5): EXCELLENT - The location is excellent, with all the attractions just a short walk away. My review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning UMAY ATSLAY—my family and I met her at breakfast, and she truly represents the spirit of the hotel with her beautiful smile and willingness to help. She even showed us the basement near the breakfast lounge; an underground area that’s 800 years old.

• Medina Aguirre (10/5): UNA CIUDAD MARAVILLOSA CON VISTA DESDE EL GRAND YAVUZ - Es un excelente hotel, muy bien ubicado cerca al comercio y zona histórica de la ciudad , desde sus habitaciones se puede observar una linda vista del Bósforo, excelente desayuno y su personal muy amable, definitivamente me hospedaré nuevamente allí, resalto la atención del personal del hotel, en especial: Enes y Pavut. Excelente todo.

Smooth late-night check-in, great hospitality, and thoughtful support throughout our stay — including helping arrange our return taxi. Excellent location within walking distance of major mosques. Special thanks to Umay from Guest Relations for her outstanding care. Highly recommended.

• Claudia (10/5): Great staff, perfect localization - Everything was perfect: clean, organized, great localization but for me, the staff, was really helpful and nice all the time. I’d like to thank especially Umay, who was one of the great surprises I had in Istambul this time.

• Saif (10/5): Good value for money in the sultahahmet area. - Beautiful property, views of the bhosphorus from the room Steep walkway to get to the main area and to catch public transportation. Ok for us but might be hard for people with mobility challenges
