- Andreas (4/5): Inte ett bra hotell - Upplevde absolut inte detta som ett 4-stjärnigt hotell. Snarare 2-stjärnigt eller möjligtvis 3-stjärnigt. Dålig service som till storsta del berodde på att hotellet försökte ta betalt i förväg trots att jag valt alternetivet att betala på boendet. Rummen var gamla, slitna och inpyrda och luktade rök. Trasig duschkabin i badrumet och generellt slitet skick gav ett dåligt intryck. Städning var OK, inget märkvärdigt men gjordes det som kan förväntas av ett 2-stjärnigt hotell.

- Carles L (2/5): Unos Sinvergüenzas - Reservé y pagué por adelantado la unica Suite Presidencial que tienen en el hotel como sorpresa para mi mujer. La sorpresa me la lleve yo cuando al hacer el check in y llegar a la habitación vi que era una suite de categoría muy inferior, obviamente arruinando la sorpresa. Al ser por la noche nos respondieron que no había ningún manager y para solucionarlo teníamos que esperar al día siguiente. Al día siguiente, el manager habló con nosotros 1 minuto y dejó al cargo de la situación a la Sales Manager del hotel que se comprometió a llamarnos con una solución antes de las 18:00 (hora que plegaba). No recibimos ninguna llamada y cuando llegamos al hotel justo antes de las 18:00 nos dijo que no podían solucionarlo y que llamáramos a Hotels.com ya que des de un principio afirmaron que había sido culpa de ellos. Como solución nos dijieron que nos podíamos marchar y hacer el check out. Así que nos sentimos muy abandonados por parte de los managers del hotel ya que habían arruinado la sorpresa y tuvieron MUCHAS maneras y posibilidades de llegar a una solución o hacernos sentir mejor y no hicieron NADA. La verdad es que ha sido la peor experiencia en un hotel que hemos tenido.

Thnx for borrowing the wheelchair, y’all helped me and my mom so much!!

- Mauro R (6/5): Atendimento péssimo - Um hotel fantástico, porém o serviço oferecido de internet é péssimo e além de não ser rede segura até a TV parava de funcionar por falta de sinal, eu alertava a recepção e nada era feito, anunciam que têm funcionários que podem lhe atender em russo, turco, inglês e espanhol, eu falo espanhol e ninguém sabia e nem se interessavam em tentar ajudar e sorte que eu estava com um tradutor, apesar de ser um ótimo hotel em isntalações eu não voltaria mais.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Honestly, I was very disappointed in my stay here. I received the incorrect room. That room had stained carpet and smelled like cigarettes. I was told it was a non smoking hotel but there was an ash tray provided by the hotel in the room? The electricity would go in and out and the wifi was AWFUL. I would be disconnected every 5 minutes. The straw that broke the camels back is the refusal to refund me for a night I did not stay. And the pics look nothing like the hotel. Won’t be coming back

Check out the amazing 5 star restaurant available on the 7th floor of this hotel. Only issue I had was with this tall Egyptian dude wearing a suit.. he does not know how to talk to people. I think he was the manager but he is the worst I’ve ever came across. Terrible. Other than him everyone else as far as staff is absolutely amazing. I recommend.

I was told of the breakfast hours when i check in but when i go to the brealfast hall the next morning, I was told that my package doesn't include breakfast and i may complain to hotwls.com where i originally made my reservation at. I asked for a single standard bed but was provided with twin beds which the cleaner later conjoined so as it will look like one. Given the amount they charged, i was not satisfied with my stay.

- Abubakr (2/5): - It was NOT 4.5 star hotel. As I was traveling with family, cleanliness was important. I picked this hotel based off it's high price, and its 4.5 star rating. It doesn't even deserve a 3 star rating. It was old, unclean, and elevators did not work. The elevators were very small, so you had to wait until it unloaded riders, and for it to come back up for your turn. Then when it came up, the doors remained open for 1.5 seconds....only to lose your turn. The carpets in the room, and hallways were stained, different colors, and a few burnt spots. DEFINITELY NOT A 4.5 STAR HOTEL.

Management was willing to change rooms, better but still unclean. Elevator doesn't work. We had to drag my bag through the murky and dark stairs. Don"t be fooled by the pictures on Hotels.com

- Hussain (6/5): Noise pollution - This hotel blasts music at silly hours in the morning. If you plan to stay here don’t forget your ear plugs. Also they won’t tell you this but the fresh orange juice during breakfast is not free and you will be charged at checkout. On a plus note their beds are amazing to sleep on once all the noise stops

- upset! (2/5): Worse expierence ever! - I booked this hotel online from the US. I knew the area was very croudy in the old city but i knew nothing about the hotel. I was recommend by a friend that stayed there 2 years ago. The hotel room is not clean, they did not grant the expedia booking. They actualy overcharged it by £ 10 a night. I was too tired so i paid infront as requested. The breakfast was ok i guess. Very limitted types and charge extra for juices. My stay was going to be 11 days but im gratefull that I started with 2 days to give it a try. The sheets and beding were worn out and the hotel have no security. Anyone can come in and there is no security nor a door man at night. They have loud music running in the lobby area where they have a bar and that music was running in my ears while trying to sleep on the 3rd floor. The music was up to 2 am or after and no it was not a weekend. 2nd night I was sleeping and waked up at 4am on yelling behind the doors in the hallways. I said enough. Im by all means not a picky guy and dont like to write reviews but this one i must. When i left they had me a bill of about $20 for things i didnt consume. I argued that and paid half of what they claimed. The funny thing is that i left one of my leguage pieces with a friend in another room when i picked it up the 2nd day there actually was a door guy chasing me outside thinking that im leaving without paying and asking the taxi guy to wait till he checks if i paid and checked out properly.

- Azlan (6/5): Service is below Standards but location is good. - When we first checked in, there was already mistake made by the hotel staff. They insisted that we have not paid when we already paid thru Expedia. Immediately after we went into the room, the staff called again apologizing and asked that i go down again to be refunded. The room is clean and toilet well maintained but services was quite poor. Aircon and remote control not working and have to called 3x and waited for more than 30mins before someone finnaly came to the door. At night and every night, the music noise from the streets was very terrible and went on till late at night even when we staying at 7th floor. Probably all these, because the price per night is fairly cheap, around SGD60+/night. Breakfast, not bad and hotel location is good few ram stops to grand bazaar and other tourist attractions. Would not strongly recommend unless really couldn't find other good and not expensive hotel.

- Berna (8/5): City Break - The Hotel is situated in walking distance of Grand Bazaar so a perfect location for City break. The hotel is based in a very lively street with a few others hotels. All with live music every night dancing singing. My only down point is the noise from disco downstairs that I could hear the bass from my room on second floor. But saying that I would stay here again we all had so much fun, even my mum who is 73 loved the energy of the place The staff were wonderful very friendly very helpful. Hotel very nice clean comfortable. breakfast was good plenty to choose from, yes I have stayed in places that have more but seriously how much can you eat for breakfast, for me it was more than enough. I would like to thank all the staff for a wonderful experience my 10 day stay was wonderful

We found it to be a nice place to stay, with the exception that the air conditioning didn't work when we were first there. As a result, the room temp. was about 27 degrees C. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be quite helpful.

- Verified traveler (2/5): verry bad hotel - i had paye for presidential suite at the hotel they gived me suite normal it was so bad hotel its seems like simple hotel of 2 star in europe breackfast so bad , room not cleaned always , i have to paye for water and it was supposed i have always 1 bottle of water , really bad , if i have suite and is not cleaned always so immagine what is the case of the room and dont talk about cheating they showed me presidential suite at the end only simple room nd they told me is our presidential suite i had show them the picture that is published on the site of expedia they told me we didn't give them this room picture only expedia had imagine this room

- Greg (4/5): Convenient location... and that's about it. - Hotel is apparently 4.5 star. It may have been some years ago. The beds were old and uncomfortable and the hotel rooms are old and dated. WiFi although free was barely available - had to stand near the door to get a signal. Staff were not helpful in rectifying the situation. Breakfast was average, waiters unfriendly, reception staff not friendly or helpful. I will not stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly hotel for a woman traveling alone - I stayed here for business trip and overall the hotel was fine. The single rooms are very small but comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and most of the staff spoke English. The tram is a few blocks from the hotel and it is easy to take the tram (or walk following the tram line), to all the major sites.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Will stick to hostels in future... - As a 25 year old woman I usually stay in hostels on city breaks like this but my friend and I thought we would splash out a bit in istanbul & booked Hotel Zurich. It was a mistake. The pictures looked lovely on the website but the room we were given was 3 star at best; one of the plug sockets was hanging off the wall & the wallpaper was peeling in places. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, bordering on rude, and we felt like a nuisance asking for anything. However, the hotel was very clean and tidy. I will definitely be sticking to hostels in future!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good choice in Istanbul - This hotel seems to cater to the German & Russian crowd but most of the personnel speak some English. The hotel is a bit old but clean and in a great location near the tram and walking distance to all the main sites. Internet works well and is free, there's an indoor pool and the view from the top floor restaurant has to be one of the best in Istanbul. The spa services are all extra and pricey. If you care mostly about location, basic comfort & good Internet, this is a great hotel. The front desk staff are helpful, breakfast is fine and the neighborhood is safe & convenient.
- Ines (8/5): Hotelstaff tried to trick us! - Vi paid the hotel suite that we saw on the pictures before we came to the hotel. At arrival they gave us a completely different room that had to be much cheaper then what ee paid for. After some discussion we got the room we wanted but we didn't talk ti much with the staff after that. Good Food nice and clean rooms! Location in the middle of everything!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good quality hotel near main sight seeings - I was upgraded from normal single room to the suite, because they haven't registered my same-day reservation. So of course the suite was super nice with private jaquzzi etc. It is 15 minutes walk from the blue mosque and all this so this is nice. But the neighbourhood is not very dangerous to go out in.
- Gigi (8/5): Hotel Zurich in Istanbul - I was afraid the hotel was going to be a dive, but it was just the opposite. I loved my room. It was clean and comfortable. The location was great, making it easy to connect to my friends who live there and all the sights.I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again. I also liked how the place was bustling with people all the time.
- Fritz (2/5): Definitely NOT a four star hotel - This is posted as a four-star hotel: however, virtually none of the staff can communicate in English. All the extras are highly overpriced: coffee in the bar $4.00, little bottle of wine in the minibar 8 Euros. The place feels like it was a decent hotel 30 years ago, but now it's way past its prime. I am normally highly satisfied with Expedia's recommendations, so I don't understand how this slipped through the vetting process.

- meisam (6/5): It was Ok but just Ok !! - Every things was fine when we looking on the web site the picture was Wonderful we thought its best hotel we have ever been until we went there, room was to small we packed like sardine!! and we didn't open window be cause of lots of noise ! the taxi driver are talking laughing all night :( But area was good .

(4/5): 2 star hotel claims 4star - Uncomfortable beds and check in time at the hotel is 12pm it was 4pm they did not have rooms open Breakfast finshes at 10am even on the weekends usually for weekends breakfast time is 6am to 11am.Very noisy hotel they play music till 12am in the morning and has no business center!!and they claim they are 4star hotel!! I would never stay at this hotel again!!
- Linda (4/5): Not as good as the photos! - The rooms we saw were not as up-to-date as the photos on the website. Areas are being up-graded but those that haven't been are a bit dingy and smelly. I was surprised that freshly squeezed juices and omelette or scrambled egg were charged extra at breakfast, so the only juice available included for free in the breakfast was cherry juice. I hadn't realised that although the swimming pool was free to guests the other facilites, steam-room, sauna incurred a charge.
- DaVinci (2/5): We Survived Hotel Zurich! - The hotel is definitely not a four-star. The rooms were small and uncomfortable. There was no storage space. You could get hurt stepping in and out of the shower --- it is so high. There was no clock in the room, the hairdryer died, the tub would not drain on the first day, the TV worked half the time, not a single iron or ironing board in the entire hotel, and there was construction going on in the hallway outside our door. We walked into the hallway and it was entirely dark, until the automatic sensor tripped the light on. The front desk is not helpful. They speak very little English. Do not rely on them for reservations. Definitely need to improve their customer service. Otherwise, the hotel is conveniently located. The construction going on outside in the street is not too bad once you get use to the noise and dust.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Filthy hotel - I booked this hotel because it was rated as a 4-star hotel and I wanted a nice place for my wife's birthday. I had arranged for a queen size bed. The room was absolutely terrible. To begin, we were given two single beds, the mattresses were 2 inches thick, the only other piece of furniture was a chair with torn upholstery and a 13" flat screen tv. The window did not close and it was very hot. The room looked nothing like the photos on their website, not even close. This hotel should be rated a 1-star, maybe 2-star at best.
- GD (8/5): A little noisy but good. Snubbed at Hotel's Disco. - Construction right across the street made the area messy and loud but Hotel Zurich overall is a nice spot. But, if you are a single man, you will not be able to get into the Disco inside Hotel Zurich. I was a paying customer and was snubbed because I did not have a woman with me.
