Easy access to restaurants and malls around the area. Right outside the MRT and bus stops, so this is a huge plus. nothing really.

- Nola (9/5): A pleasant East Coast alternative to the CBD for a short stay. - The hotel is in a lovely, slightly quirky, part of town, with some beautiful 1920s shophouses and some unusual shops. If you stay, don’t miss them. It’s an easy 15-20 min walk. If you want the full on shopping experience the Marine Drive MRT station is literally outside the hotel. I chose the hotel partly for its excellent MRT connections to the Gardens on the Bay, but unfortunately i only had one day and it rained the whole time so I missed them. For those with late night flights, they can sell you an extra 6 hrs for around S$100, something I found really worthwhile. Nothing.

- patrickkww (10/5): Perfect for a Singapore stay - This was a perfect hotel for us. Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Nice pool area, always just the same "problem" for us europeans that the pool is only 0,8-1,2m deep, as I prefer to swim in deeper waters, but I am now used to it in Singapore. The surrounding was perfect, so good that you actually don´t even need to leave the area. Big mall in front of the hotel, 3 big supermarktes around. Food courts and restaurants as well as bars. Everything is near the hotel. Very near the East-Coast Park which we love in Singapore. And the best, the MRT is in front of the house. And here it is really in front of the house. Normally when you have a hotel near MRT you go down and have endless corridors and escalators until you are really in front of a train. But here: Twice down the escalator and you are at the platform. From room to train in 3 minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and gave us even late checkout as our flight left in the evening. As per our Accor Silver we were able to use the room until 14:00 We will for sure be back.

- Kim (5/5): The basic, corporate hotel chain experience - Nothing 'Grand' here, but then that reflects the mass tourist class corporate stay, I suppose. Bland, overpriced bars and food and no frills in room at all. Some boutique hotels in Singapore offer muc better than these corporate stays. Not much, to be honest. A place to stay in a clean and comfy bed in a tourist hotel. It's a Mercure, I didn't expect more.

- Robin (7/5): Comfortable bed and quiet at night. - Staff were friendly and helpful. Convenient for transport links. Definitely a business hotel which needs some TLC in places. There are quite a few smoking rooms in the hotel which give a background smell of stale tobacco smoke.

- W2245GJrobinm (8/5): Typical business hotel which could do with an update. - All the staff here are friendly and helpful and check in was quick and painless. The room was OK but very dated. The bed was comfortable and that’s all we required for our 3 night stay as we were exploring Singapore. The food we did have at the hotel was expensive and didn’t compare with the Hawker market about 100 metres away. The hotel is right next to a bus stop and MRT station and in that respect was great for exploring the city. Would we stay here again, probably not, as there are more soulful hotels in Singapore.

- TravelEverwhere (4/5): Security Issue - I stay at the Mercure Roxy around 10 times a year, but generally for one night only as I am transiting Singapore. I suffered a security breach by the Hotel during my last stay as another guest accessed my room with a key card. Fortunately I was in my room at the time. To put it mildly, he did not stay very long! I am not implying that the person who entered my room would have done anything inappropriate had I not been present, but I had my laptop, passport, cash etc on the desk. I found this to be totally inexcusable yet the Hotel passed it off with an apology stating that there was an mixup in their system. That is a pretty lame excuse for incompetence in my opinion. I decided to attach the door chain on my room, just in case this ‘mixup’ occurred again but when I went to do so, I discovered that the door chain was broken and of no use at all. Needless to say, I am not impressed . That is all that is needed to be said on this matter. Potential guests can make their own minds up.

Heartfelt thanks to Venus for making it a smooth check-in. Had my reunion dinner at Feast@Roxy. The buffet spread was excellent. Food was delicious. Thumbs up for Chef Lester. The atmosphere was so up for the occasion. Appreciate Jojo, Eddy, Edison and Gabriel for their excellent service.

- SouthWestBest (4/5): Basic as basic gets - A very basic hotel frequented by cabin crew and those working in travel. It is very functional with no standout features. Rooms are standard, with strong a/c - a bit too much if your asking me. Check in takes far too long. I find it annoying and dangerous how rooms have a step in the bathroom which I stubbed my toe on. Gym is ok, breakfast is very good.

- Sailesh (3/5): Bad - Nothing When I made the booking through Booking.com, breakfast was included. However, upon arrival I was informed that breakfast was not included and I had to pay extra for it. The bill I received shows a room upgrade instead of the breakfast that was supposed to be part of my booking. Because of this mistake I am unable to claim the cost from my company.
