Guest Reviews
- Penntagon (8/5): OK Apartment Hotel in perfect location - Our room definately needed some renovation. Everything worked OK, but was a bit oldfashioned and "expired". But the location is great, -close to the wonderful Promenade at Darling Harbour.
- Janene (10/5): Enjoyed our stay perfect spot close to city shopping -
- Ayaz (3/5): -
- Gemma (9/5): Location ideal for my needs. - Everything I asked for in my email was delivered.
The view was sensational.
An older apartment but clean with all amenities available. I didn't like the fact that parking costs $59 a day. I'm just used to free parking for guests.
- Kiye (6/5): -
- Guest (10/5): -
- Sandi (8/5): A great location, needs some updating. - The location was great and the apartment was spacious. The room smelt like dirty carpet. The carpet is really old and smelly and needs replacing. The staff weren’t too obliging with any requests.
- Peter (6/5): Reasonable hotel for the money - Close to darling harbour and ferry transport The car park number plate camera doesn’t work
- Nivs Pires (7/5): -
- Jack (8/5): Functional room, clean, value for money - all round good experience. - Clean, excellent location, well appointed. It was value for money given the prime location. No in-hotel dining or room service
- Guest (10/5): -
- Renee (10/5): -
- Roy Clyde (8/5): -
- Janine (7/5): - Fantastic location, close to restaurants and attractions. Could do with revamp, looked a little tired eg carpet, walls etc
- Paulette (10/5): Will stay again - Location is amazing, one street away from Darling Harbour. Excellent food options very close by. Great attractions close by too, sealife, maritime museum, kings wharf for cruises and ferries.
Wynyard train station close by, too. Late check out at 11am and bag drop option if needed. Nothing.
- Heidi (2/5): I would never stay here again! If I knew what the apartment actually looked like I would have stayed somewhere else. I’m - Location Poorly maintained (needed painting, carpet was loose and uneven) bathtub had a patched hole and felt unsafe to stand in. Terrible views, smelt bad, air conditioner only had one setting. Tiles fell off the wall in the bathroom without even touching them.
- Julian (9/5): -
- corinne (9/5): -
- Kemmanat (6/5): - Location Room look old and not clean enough
- Daley (4/5): - Location was great Balcony was disgustingly dirty , cigarette buts were left sitting on balcony and some of the dishes were dirty
- Lex (10/5): Great hotel central to everything - Great location and facilities
Cheap parking compares to many places in sydney Traffic noise
- Lynley (10/5): - The location was fantastic so close to the centre of Sydney and right beside Darling Harbour. Loved the view
- Jo (10/5): -
- Craig R Martin (9/5): - Size of room, proximity to attractions ..
- Haseeb (7/5): Allow smokers to smoke at room balcony allocate one floor for this many hotels do this. - Location was good staff were welcoming Allow smoking in balcony please I had to go opposit the road to smoke and by the time I came back to bathroom i couldn’t do it. I understand because of smell but Balcony allowing for smoking may be at one floor only would be a good gesture from management to help.
- Lisa (9/5): - The location and facilities were exceptional, just a short walk to the Darling Harbour promenade. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Was just a little disappointed that our room overlooked the courtyard instead of the aquarium view that was initially booked and that we were not on the same floor as the other party in our group.
- Grant (4/5): - Parking was extra
- Sharon (8/5): -
- Andrew (6/5): Otherwise great - Every thing was great just a little noisy from traffic and loud music. Noisy hard to sleep
- Ekaterini (9/5): - Perfect location and lovely spacious rooms
- Christie (9/5): -
- Kazclarke (9/5): - Location location location great size room
- Jennifer (9/5): Fun time on the harbour city - Fantastic location. Staff were very helpful
- Andrew (9/5): - Great room and we had a great view, clean and very comfortable
- Sharon (1/5): While Adina Apartments are in a great location, the rooms are very aged and in poor condition. - The location. That was Adina Apartments only saving grace. They are conveniently located across the road from Darling Harbour boardwalk. Close to the ferry, local restaurants, and in easy travelling distance to a lot of great places like the Aquarium and a short ferry ride to Luna Park, Sydney Harbour bridge, Sydney Opera house, and Taronga Zoo. Everything to do with the apartment:
- The furnishings were aged. Stains on the carpet and lounge, a lot of scuff marks in general. The kitchen sink had some disgusting looking dirty suds dried up in it, and overall, the apartment was not to a level of cleanliness that I would have expected compared to the many other accommodation places I have stayed at.
- The air con vents in the apartment were mouldy, and it looks like they painted over the mould stains - I took photos.
- The shower was over the bathtub, and when standing in the bath, I noticed it was spongy under foot. Upon closer inspection, the bath had a big patch in the bottom of it where it had previously broken and they covered it with a patch and then covered the patch with a non-slip suction mat.
- A glass sliding door to the balcony could not be locked. The lock was completely broken off, and when I immediately raised concerns with the reception, they couldn't do anything about it, so my two daughters and I slept in an apartment with an unsecured external door.
- The bed was hard and incredibly uncomfortable. My daughter cried of a sore back after the first night.
- They did not have any charging ports in the apartment.
Overall, I felt completely deceived by their advertising which did not reflect how aged the Adina Apartments are and the poor condition of the rooms.
- Erika Mae Zara (8/5): Adina room - The location is great — quiet and convenient. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. I just feel like the floor could use a good vacuum as it seems a bit dusty and old. It would also be nice to have an extra pair of slippers in the room. Overall, it feels a bit pricey for what it offers.
- Stewart (7/5): - Location and room size The room was only surface cleaned which is not good enough if you looked closely it was quite dirty. Needs looking into. My 2nd time there. There won't be a third.
- Beth Gray (8/5): - Good location - clean room - comfy bed bathrom a little dated - but clean
- Ian and Sandra (8/5): - Location fantastic but overpriced Carpet ripped and a trip hazard. Could ho between floors with our card/key
- Sarah (8/5): Great location - The location was great as were the facilities in the toom Nothing
- Stephen (9/5): 8 nights in Sydney - Room was fabulous - far better than a traditional hotel if staying more than a couple of nights.as to get a sitting room, kitchenette and dining table.
Location is perfect for all that Darling Harbour has to offer and when you want to go further afield use the lime bike which are docked nearby. We missed having a bar and breakfast is in the ground floor coffee shop which is nice enough but gets a bit repetitive after a few days. Also the gym is very limited.
- Adam (9/5): Great location - Amazingly close to Darling Harbour, it's a great location. Nothing, it was fine
- Veylma (7/5): -
- Julie (7/5): -
- Samuel (9/5): -
- Kylie (9/5): -
- John (9/5): - Staff are courteous and facilities are clean I forgot my personal tumbler. It would have been great if the Adina could have keep it and returned it to me. that would have added value and provide a great example of excellent customer service.
- adrian (8/5): Great location for visiting Sydney - Great location in the heart of Sydney. You can walk to the Opera House and Bridge in 20 mins and Darling Harbour is right beside you. Decent supermarkets are 15 mins walk. We have stayed in these apartments before, they are clean, have the basics for simple meal preparation - limited work space but with pots and pans etc. The bed is comfortable and its generally quiet in the apartment. There's a washer and drier for laundry. The AC/heating works well. The room was 'tired' and in need of some refurbishment. The carpet was stained, the bathroom is aged and walls are scuffed. The air-con unit had a consistent background 'whistle' which stopped when you opened the apartment door! The range of kitchen implements is limited. There were no scissors, small sharp knives etc. While the apartment is quiet there was considerable street noise on the weekend evenings- people, motor cycles etc.
- Dominique (8/5): Comfortable - A little run down in rooms
- joseph (8/5): -
- Jeevanpal (3/5): I would not stay here again - Location was very good Beds were the worst I have slept in. The mattress was sunken in the middle.
The ironing board’s legs fell off while in took it out of the cupboard to iron my shirt in the morning.
- Denise (9/5): -
- kate (10/5): Always great stay at the adina - Central to everything
- James (7/5): - Options for pillows
- Sara (5/5): - Maintenance on the room was pretty poor. Phone didn't work, light in our bedroom and outside didn't work. 1 of the lights in the lounge was half hanging out of the roof. Rooms only get serviced every 3 days apparently so we had to ask for fresh towels and top ups of milk, tea , coffee , toilet paper etc. Bed was very hard and the tv in the bedroom is so high up by the roof it's unwatchable as it doesn't tilt down towards the bed. No extra blankets in the wardrobe or even a robe to wear. Staff were very friendly and location is great but probably would not stay here again as it's not as good as it used to be.
- Danni (7/5): -
- Diane (8/5): -
- Alexandra (6/5): Rude Staff not professional at all - Close to everything Staff were rude no acknowledgement. We came early asked for us to wait, fair enough. However, multiple people came after us and were sent to their rooms. Finally 2pm came and now the room wasn't ready we had to wait again. No apologies at all.
- Melisa (7/5): Great option for a city stay. - Great location right in Darling Harbour with just a quick walk into the city. Lots of dining options and a large, comfortable room., Nothing … it was great.
- Susan (8/5): - It's a great location. Really central to everything.
- Nat (7/5): Was fine for our 2 night stay - Location was great
Bed was comfy as Not that I didn’t like, it’s just a bit old
- Treena (9/5): -
- Nicole (9/5): Very nice gust a few little things needed to make it great - Location, sitting area, lifts, Asked for a walk in shower, had a shower over a bath, no extra blankets, no wifi information or information book,
- Selina (10/5): - The place was amazing and spacious. Great to have a balcony when the fireworks display came on. Location was perfect, everything in walking distance.
Handy to drop our bags off while we went sight seeing.
Will stay again Handy to have an extra pillow.
The shower over the bath, it felt a little high to step out of, felt a little nervous incase I slipped 😬
- Guest (10/5): -
- Tania (6/5): Great location but could be cleaner - Great location Rooms hadn’t had a decent clean in a while. When plugging my mobile in you could see the dust under the beds and the power points were dirty as well. The mattress protectors on our bed were also stained
- Alyssa (10/5): Hotel was lovely staff were polite and rooms were clean and beautiful. Would love to see some extra towels and maybe som - Need more spare towels xx
- Linley (8/5): -
- L Johnson (8/5): Great location to access the Sydney Harbour - Location, spacious room. Furnishings are tired, king-size bed separated down the middle making the bed uncomfortable for a couple.
- Eva (10/5): -
- DEAN (8/5): -
- Eva (3/5): Never again Adina - Location Old dirty
Smallest room on the rd level 1.
Loud road noise, loud from connecting room, loud from fan that never turns off in the bathroom
Nearly got scolded, hot water is burning hot even on cold when turned on in shower.
Bathroom tap didn't work properly
Dusty all over lamp's, skirting boards, shower was dirty unclean and un inviting
No tea
When I told reveption, no apology just said due for a renovation. The local hotel would be cleaner and quieter. Shouldn't be taking money now if the room is that bad.
Two mum's,I have breast cancer and due for an operation next week. Just wanted a nice time without our 3 small kids. But this was very dissapointing. Must have been the worst room in the hotel.
No value for money
- Cornelio (3/5): -
- Matthew (6/5): OK, room was dated. - Nice location, near the water front. Room was run down. Oven did not work, air vents filthy. The staff had done a good job cleaning the room, the room was simply old.
- Caitlin (6/5): It was ok - That we had a room upgrade That you could only order room service if you was there 4 nights or more was a bit inconvenient
- Tim (7/5): -
- Lee-Anne (9/5): -
- Deb (6/5): Location is good but need to be picky when requesting room not facing the busy motorway. - Location is excellent The room was very tired. Needs a thorough cleaning as minimum but probably needs carpet replacement. Washing machine didn't work properly. Also quite a noisy room for relatively long stay.
- Kerry (10/5): - The location was great. Close to everything we wanted to go to
- Sandra (10/5): Great position to darling harbour especially for the restaurants walking distance to everything - Great position
- JoP (8/5): Lovely apartments in great location in Sydney - These apartments are located in a great location on Darling Harbour- near many attractions and restaurants. They are also close to the city and close to Wynyard train station which is the airport train line. Apartment has plenty of room and basic but good kitchen facilities. We had an issue with the heating/cooling system. We didn't realise until the last night what the issue was - but many programs had been set in the system - some as low as 10 degrees - others as high as 29 degrees. So whenever we tried to override the heating, it would bounce back to the program. We woke up regularly at night sweltering and had to open the balcony doors to cool down the apartment only to have to do it all again a couple of hours later.
- Wayne (7/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): Great location & room! - Great location, very clean & comfortable. Need one of their pillows!!!
- Phillip (8/5): - Great location
- Sebastián (10/5): - Su ubicación Nada.
- Monika (8/5): -
- Peta (7/5): Location wise good. - Location was fairly good, but the hotel faces the highway side of the harbour. Room was ok, bed was fine. It was an apartment style room, so space wise it was good. There was no kettle in the room, the tv was stuck on one channel, couldn't move to anything else, couldn't connect to wifi. I ended up watching netflix on my laptop hot spotting to my own phone. Not great value for money based on the dated room.
- Robina (8/5): - Comfortable, convenient location- walking distance to bars, restaurants Was all good, except bins were full & rubbish not removed on service day
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Christopher (8/5): -
- Susan (6/5): Tired hotel, in need of attention , had a great time in Darling harbour catching up with family. - Location
Staff Tiniest apartment ever
Cockroaches around the fridge
At bed head and under hadn’t been cleaned for a long time
Shower fittings were loose..
3pm is too late for check in
- Rebekah (10/5): Weekend away - Loved the balcony, the bed was quite comfortable.
Kitchen facilities were great. Bathroom is quite dangerous with the height of the bath/shower. Definitely needs upgrading. Water pressure was fantastic though.
- Kerrie (9/5): -
- Brett (9/5): Very comfortable close to everything we needed - Location Nothing
- Denise (6/5): -
- Kate (9/5): -
- Jeanette (8/5): - Location
- Gary (10/5): -
- Guest (5/5): Average - Breakfast at the cafe downstairs was good. Carpet had a blood stain on carpet, lamp was smashed, room was not clean, milk was frozen in the fridge. No daily service.
