• Michael (8/5): Hotel mit zentraler Lage, sauberen Zimmer und sehr freundlichem Personalzu empfehlen - Zentral in der Altstadt gelegen, sehr sauberes Zimmer, Personal sehr freundlich, Frühstück top Zimmer zur belebten La Rambla - daher nachts laut. Hatten dies allerdings auch gebucht, daher auch unsere Verantwortung.

Die ganze Rambla wird renoviert, was ein unsanftes Wecken durch Baulärm, um Punkt 08.00 Uhr, mit sich bringt. Die Zimmer sind eher spärlich ausgestattet und die Reinigung war nicht immer sehr gründlich.

I requested a special surprise for my boyfriend and they were Great with communicating with me to surprise him with chilled Cava and chocolates. Great experience! No complaints. • RoswellCBP (10/5): One Night in Barcelona - The hotel and staff were excellent. Everything was clean and well kept. A particular highpoint was the breakfast buffet. A wide variety of fresh and well-presented food items. The dining room attendants were extremely pleasant. The only negative was the bed in our junior suite was two singles pushed together as a queen. The beds individually were comfortable, but queen sheets were not used resulting in a separation while we were sleeping. A mattress topper would have been nice. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel and will do so again should we return to Barcelona.

The construction on La Rambla (been going on for years and NOT mentioned) increased the taxi charges DOUBLE. and the time to get out of La Ramblas to get to your destination. When the front desk estimates your time to get to your destination, DOUBLE IT.

Difficult to walk with luggage when you are in your seventires and eighties with mobility issues. Taxi booked thru hotel was far better - driver carried our bags to taxi. • P5680IPsophieo (8/5): Ideal location for sight seeing - We started with a smooth check in, we did arrive earlier than when our room was ready so we had to put our luggage in a locker (which cost €2 - every-time you used it so make sure if you do use them put everything in first before locking it as you’ll have to pay again). Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of construction noice which obviously isn’t the hotels fault. To be fair the noise didn’t start till around 10 and stopped before we arrived back to the hotel in the evening. Room wise, it was a good base for us whilst we were out and about. I would say the room was a little on the small side and the AC wasn’t working so that made it rather hot at night when we were trying to sleep. Also, one thing to mention is there were no tea and coffee facilities in the room, but there was a fridge that was super handy! One brilliant facility was the balconies that got so much sunlight and was shielded from the wind. We really enjoyed this on our last day! We paid for breakfast included and wow we were impressed! So much selection, lots of fruits, meats, cheeses, pastries and some hot food options as well with bacon and eggs. It all felt super fresh and they refreshed the empty plates super quietly. The staff were brilliant and super friendly! The location of this hotel is ideal, it’s about a 10 minute walk off the main part of La Rambla, lots of good restaurants around and also around a 20 minute walk from the beach.

Undisclosed construction and dismissive "8:30–5:30" excuse - I booked a balcony room at Hotel Arc La Rambla for a special occasion, paying a significant premium for the outdoor space. I even contacted the hotel in advance to mention the occasion, yet they completely failed to mention the massive construction project happening right outside. From 8:30 am until 5:30 pm, the noise was deafening. It was impossible to have a conversation with the balcony doors open, making the balcony I specifically paid extra for entirely unusable during the day. When I complained, the hotel’s response was incredibly dismissive. They essentially told me there was 'nothing they could do' and argued that because the noise stopped at 5:30 pm, the rest of the time was 'fine.' This is unacceptable—guests should be able to use the facilities they paid for at any time of day without being subjected to industrial-level noise. They were happy to take my money for a premium room knowing full well it was adjacent to a building site, and then they minimised my experience when I raised it. A very dishonest way to run a hotel. If you value transparency and customer service, stay elsewhere.

• Roswitha (8/5): schönes, sauberes Hotel in guter Lage - Das Frühstück war hervorragend, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage war auch gut, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten waren zu Fuß erreichbar. Die U-Bahn war nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Die schöne Rambla war eine Großbaustelle, wofür das Hotel ja nichts kann. Sonst gibt es nichts zu beanstanden.
