- john4ke (10/5): Super staff gave us a delightful stay - My wife and I enjoyed our 4-night stay tremendously. The hotel is located 10 mins walk to Kabatas Port on the Bosphoros: easy to pick up ferries there to different parts of the city, and the tram into the city centre. The hotel overlooks the Besiktas Football Stadium, which made for exciting viewing of the Turkey v Rumania World Cup qualifier! Our room was large and comfortable as was our bed. Breakfasts overlooking the Bosphoros was my highlight of the day and the service from Mr Murat, Nisa and their colleagues faultless. My wife's highlight was using the hotel pool and spa each evening, again with super staff on hand to guide us. I should also mention that the staff on reception were v kind too and attentive: one lady had seen from my passport that my birthday fell during our stay and arranged for a v tasty chocolate cake and balloons to appear in our room as a surprise. We were delighted with our stay and recommend highly for all the reasons above. I should also mention we enjoyed meeting other guests who all had interesting stories to tell (you know who you are!).
- BPandRP (10/5): Amazing, Amazing. Amazing - Just returned from a week in Istanbul and had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. From the moment our taxi pulled up at the hotel to the time we left, every aspect of our stay and service was fantastic. It started with the warmest of welcomes, efficient check-in, seamless baggage handling. The room (King partial Bosphorus view) was fab - spacious with everthing we needed. What really stood out for us were the staff - each and every member of staff we met was so lovely, helpful and took a genuine interest in our stay. Service was seamless, but also provided in a very efficient and subtle manner, under-pinned by kindness. Whilst each and every member of staff was amazing, a special mention goes to Riham in the concierge area (she was a fab guide but also sorted so much for us) and the senior members of staff/managers/F&B team in the restaurant. Their attention to detail, helpfulness, guidance in terms of what food to try and how to eat certain things was so kind. They were also a good source of information in terms of where to go, what to do etc. The service was so personalised. I am sorry I cannot remember their individual names though. We mainly had breakfast in the hotel and ate out most nights, but the food was of a very good variety and quality. Location was good - right next to the Besiktas Stadium but also 10 minutes walk from the Kabatas Tram Station which made travelling in to the city centre so efficient and easy. Also a 15 minute walk (uphill) to Taksim Square. The hotel also has their own fleet of luxury taxis, but we also used Ubers which we found very reasonably priced and efficient. Great gym/sauna and steam room. All in all - FANTASTIC in every respect!!! Thank you!

The location is outstanding — right by the Bosphorus, perfect for walks, close to Nişantaşı for shopping, and very convenient for business areas as well as access to the Old City. It was fabulous. Incredible breakfast, terrific room. The only down side was that it takes about a 10 minute walk uphill to get to shops and restaurants.

I was pleased to find out that the service was just as I read. From the small details to the attentive and friendly service - nothing was too much trouble. I’d like to also especially thank Yusuf and Reham at reception who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and also Bariş at concierge. Staff remembered me by name which I thought was an personal touch. Breakfast was great with various selections and special thanks to Aysun who made me feel special every day at breakfast and was so attentive. The room were clean and modern, and the bathrooms classic and beautiful with marble interior. The amenities in the hotel were definitely of a 5 star standard and I’d like to also thank I will definitely be returning to this hotel on my next trip. The only thing I would say is that I wish there was a Jacuzzi in the hotel other than that everything was perfect!

ALL of the staff were friendly and eager to help. The hotel itself gleamed from top to bottom. Our room had a view of the Bosporus. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed a breakfast buffet each morning and the staff were always welcoming. They even made sure that I had a cup of orange juice with me to take back to the room. The buffet has everything imaginable including Gluten Free items and Vegan/Vegetarian items. On one of our outtings, my daughter left her cell phone in a taxi. I want to thank ANAKAM for helping us locate it. He took time researching how the phone could be located. I wish I had the name of his female co-worker who also helped my daughter. The good news was we were able to get the phone back! I highly reccomend this luxurious hotel!

We had a wonderful time yet again, the room was perfect and we had exceptional service from the staff. The highlight for me this time round had to be the indoor pool as we didn’t get access last time due to the renovations at the time. The pool is a good size and has an amazing ceiling. It reminded me of the Venetian in Las Vegas albeit smaller scale. A beautiful Renaissance-era art piece of the Venetian sky. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again if visiting Istanbul.

The presentation of the food and wine at the Club Lounge was certainly superior to one of the restaurant we visited in the hotel.

Mehmet was delightful as we checked in, we had a kind associate take us to our room (I was so tired I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name). He was very enthusiastic and helpful to get us settled into our room. Our room was fantastic, we were upgraded to a large corner suite overlooking the Bosphorus- gorgeous and a wonderful surprise. The gym and spa team were also very courteous-there is a Pilates reformer available to use! The standout for us was the restaurant Atolye, it was excellent we ate there multiple nights. Our first night we arrived 10 minutes before closing, and the team was incredibly courteous and thoughtful. The food was absolutely amazing, my husband was somewhat nervous about Turkish food, but he enjoyed it so much we ate there again and again each and every time the service was very excellent. I wanted to give a special recommendation to Aysun who helped us each night at dinner and made sure that we had a very special evening. She was warm, friendly and helpful, by the end, she knew that my husband would order spinach as a side dish every night so she just got it ordered for us as soon as we sat down :). The Ritz called in an Istanbul an excellent choice in an excellent location if you should be in Istanbul for a few days.

The attentiveness and kindness of the staff was beyond anything we’ve experienced at any hotel, and we have traveled a lot. The room was so spacious and comfortable, it felt incredibly luxurious. The Club Lounge staff stiff out in particular (Baron, Eylem and Furkan), doting on our children and surprising us with a san sebastián cheesecake upon checkout (because I had mentioned loving it)! We are so grateful to the hotel for providing such a first rate experience for us during our time in Istanbul. We certainly hope to return!

The security staff, the valet, front desk, breakfast staff Bahar was A1 - Loved everything about it great service all the way from the time of checking to checkout. Safa was absolutely amazing, The staff at Breakfast Bahar, the lounge staff I forgot the lady manager’s name unfortunately. The Spa the manager Ayter, and Melisa greeted me with beautiful smiles and they were very welcoming and Rasti that gave me the treatment for the hammam was amazing.
- KNPhillipe (8/5): Mixed feelings - I have mixed feelings regarding my stay. On one hand the hotel's location is amazing, with great views of the water and a feeling of tight security. The service was warm and attentive. On the other hand the room felt a tad small and outdated for the hotel's standard; the shower pressure was disappointing. However, the amenities were well stocked and towels fluffy. Breakfast selection needs a massive improvement I must say. It felt more like a cafe than a 5 star spread. Special thanks to Bora - truly appreciate his sincere hospitality. It was genuine and from the heart.

Rooms are modern with large windows and marble bathrooms. Hotel also has tight security on the property, not far from Taksim Square and Galata Tower.
- Mozart7688 (10/5): Amazing service, Ritz in every way - Fantastic property. Well maintained and appointed. Staff is amazing and understated. Just everything is the way it is supposed to be. Rooms Very well appointed. Large and spacious. Updated very well. Restaurants Multiple option in the property that will allow for any discerning taste. Workout facility. One of the best I have experienced. With in door pool. Sauna and steam and a workout facility very well stocked. They even have a Pilates room. Outdoor pool area Large and well maintained. Can be a source of leisure as well. Club level Omg. I have seen a lot of good club levels. This one ranks at the top 3. Amazing. Try Turkish coffee. Just nothing to say but praise. The location is a bit of a downer (next to a stadium) but that is not enough of a distraction.
- KurisuS (10/5): A wonderful stay with outstanding staff - Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul was simply exceptional from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Farid at reception, who immediately made us feel at home. He even arranged for us to have our room ready about four hours before the official check-in time — such a thoughtful gesture that set the perfect tone for our stay. We were also greeted with traditional Turkish coffee and tea, a lovely and authentic touch. Mert assisted us with our luggage and was always smiling and kind whenever we met him throughout the hotel — small gestures that made a big difference. The Concierge, Mr. Serkan, was also outstanding. Thanks to his thoughtful recommendations, we had a truly wonderful evening — including a reservation at the hotel’s Nobu Restaurant, and, on his suggestion, a special table at BIZ Istanbul Bar, where we enjoyed an incredible view of the fireworks on the national holiday. His local tips were excellent and made our stay even more memorable. However, the person who truly went above and beyond was Ms. Riham “Rio” Alkhader. Her service was nothing short of legendary. She checked in with us regularly to ensure everything was perfect, always reachable, always caring — her attention started even before our arrival and continued beyond our departure. It’s rare to encounter this level of genuine hospitality. We felt less like guests and more like royalty. Thank you so much, Rio — you made our stay unforgettable. We were also kindly granted a late check-out, which we appreciated very much. Our room had a breathtaking Bosphorus view, and it was truly worth it. For light sleepers, I would just recommend bringing earplugs, as the best-view rooms also face the main road — not loud, but you may hear some city sounds at night. The Lounge was another highlight — beautifully designed, with a stunning view and very delicious food throughout the day. It’s definitely worth the experience.

- 271shanahm (10/5): An Istanbul Oasis - We stayed here for a week and could not have been more impressed with this property and the lovely staff. Check-in was friendly, efficient and quick. We had time to have a quick chat with the front office manager, Mevluthan, who commented on my bracelets. I explained that each one represented a special place I had traveled to, and that they were of great sentimental value. Our room was spotless and had a gorgeous view. There are three restaurants on the property - one is a Nobu, which looked great but since we are from Malibu/LA area we didn't try. The Turkish restaurant is top-notch, with a good selection of local dishes. The other is Italian and we did not try it because we were going to Italy for a month. Our friends arrived a few days after us, and the concierge was very helpful in setting us up a fantastic private guide to take us around all the sites. One thing to note. If you are unfamiliar with Istanbul, this property is a bit off the beaten path. It is not in the center of town, and is about a 25 minute cab ride (longer with traffic) into the central part of town. That said, it is a lovely and serene oasis. A few days into our stay, we returned to our room to find a box and a handwritten note from Mevluthan and Esma (guest experience leader). The box contained a lovely bracelet as a gift to me, made from a stone which symbolizes strength and connection. The present was incredibly heartfelt and really touched my soul. We will definitely return to this hotel and I highly recommend it.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The service was above and beyond, and the rooms were beautiful. The concierge was especially amazing, helping us with every question and booking, and we loved our spa treatments with Mia and Nisa.

The robes are heavier than me, I think!😜 And they gave me a pretty Istanbul bookmark souvenir when the cleaning staff saw that I was reading a book! How sweet of them, indeed!😊 However, their A/C does not cool the room well enough and is not aimed in the correct direction . Makes nights quite stuffy and hence difficult to sleep. 😞

Super friendly welcome from Ece at Reception, Berkan, Guest Relations and Ferdi and Meryem in the Club Lounge during the evening and at breakfast seals our support of RC and Marriott properties around the world. - Flyer564575 (2/5): Unable to Sleep and enjoy Room due to Nightly Concert Noise just outside hotel - Dear Director of Guest Experience, I wanted to follow up regarding the noise issue from the concerts taking place directly outside the hotel. I truly appreciate the warmth and hospitality of your team, which is one of the reasons I chose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton. However, I specifically booked my stay here to recover from a hair restoration procedure, and unfortunately, the level of noise has made it impossible to rest or relax. The concerts have been extremely loud, and because the windows are not soundproof, the noise carries straight into the room. It was so disruptive that I could not sleep or even enjoy watching television. I had expected the Ritz-Carlton experience to reflect the serenity, comfort, and world-class standards the brand is known for, but this situation has fallen far short of that. When I brought the issue to the front desk, I was only offered earplugs. With respect, this is not a reasonable solution — especially in my recovery state, when I simply needed a quiet environment. No offer was made to move me to a quieter room or provide an alternative arrangement. Additionally, I sent an email to the Director of Guest Experience explaining the matter, but I never received a response. I found that disappointing, given the seriousness of the disruption. This experience has been deeply frustrating, and it has affected my recovery and my overall impression of the property. It’s not about the money — it’s about the principle. I believe it would be fair and consistent with Ritz-Carlton’s standards of excellence to issue a credit toward a future stay, whether here in Istanbul or at another Ritz-Carlton property, as a gesture of goodwill and acknowledgment of the inconvenience. - LeonidR (10/5): Lovely Experience - We had a wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton Istanbul October 2025. It's a magnificent hotel with a view of the Bosphorus. We loved everything about it! The room has everything you need for both relaxation and work, if necessary. The bedding is light and soft. The food is varied. Everyone will find something to suit their taste. The splendor is astounding. The level of service is amazing; the competent and respectful staff created an unforgettable experience while maintaining a warm, homely atmosphere. I'd especially like to mention manager Yelis, who was with us throughout our stay. I've never encountered such caring treatment anywhere in the world, and believe me, I've been to many places. All our requests were not only fulfilled, but also followed up on. Thank you for being there.

The facility is comfortable and attractive with an understated elegance. We greatly appreciated the attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff throughout the hotel. All the meals we ate there were excellent, and we can especially commend the attentive service of Mr. Murat Büyükkeskin in the hotel’s Atolya restaurant.

- Anjali (4/5): - Not worth the money. Sub par food and service. The first night we had dinner at Limore - their Italian restaurant. My husband ordered the mushroom and cheese pizza AND THERE WAS A BUG IN IT. What's worse - Not only did they not comp our meal, they tried to CHARGE US FOR THE HALF EATEN BUG INFESTED FOOD. The breakfast is 45€ pp, and is so BASIC and tasteless. The hummus had no flavour, the vegan options for three days in a row was baked beans, cold stiff toast and a runny tasteless avocado puree. I had to risk the non vegan options just to have some food to eat. Service is super slow even though a lot of the staff and the floor manager can be seen crowded around the service station, chatting and laughing. I ordered room service for lunch one day and they didn't bother bringing it to us till we called to follow up. The positives - rooms are roomy and comfortable, but cost a BOMB to upgrade; the spa is very good we had the hamam and the two women who hamamed us were very good. It is expensive - €313 for hamam and a sheet mask at the end. Nobu was good too but people can smoke inside the restaurant where you are eating and the 'plant based' section of the menu is not vegan as some dishes have butter in them. This is the third country where we've stayed at the Ritz, after Singapore and China, and Istanbul is the worst. Not up to standard at all, not worth the money. My advice? Stay at the Marmara instead.

The hotel is well located, has excellent facilities, and the staff are wonderful. Particular mentions to Boris on front desk, Ibrahim on Concierge Desk,and Eylem, Baran, and the rest of the Club Lounge staff. We highly recommend the hotel to anyone planning a trip to Istanbul and looking for a luxury experience.
