Rivara (9/5): Excelente hotel - El desayuno muy completo y variado. Las instalaciones muy bien conservadas y sobre todo limpias. Las habitaciones excelentes. El area pileta estaba muy bien, solo le subiría unos grados al agua ya que se la notaba tibia y en invierno se hace dificil estar allí si el agua esta en esa temperatura. El personal muy amable y bien dispuesto. Para almorzar esta perfecto, tienen variedad, pero sería bueno que lo mantengan por la noche, ya que solo habilitan el bar (con la misma comida) y para familias con chicos no es muy cómodo. Lo recomiendo!! La temperatura del agua de la pileta y el bar para cenar. Preferiría el restaurante.

Soledad Calderón (10/5): Alojamiento de lujo! - La estadía fue espectacular!!! Desde el ingreso al hotel, la atención de todo el personal fue maravillosa. Personal super amable, dispuesto y simpático. Me ofrecieron una copa de espumante por ser cliente Booking, cosa que nunca me había sucedido. Un detalle muy lindo! Y como era fin de semana nos hicieron un upgrade de habitación a una categoría superior. Me habían comentado que el sector del gimnasio fue remodelado y lo comprobé personalmente. Tienen máquinas super modernas, todo a nuevo, con un espacio para hacer stretching tranquilo, la piscina es única y el ambiente en general muy relajado. El desayuno muy completo. Cenamos y ambos platos fueron un 10! Las habitaciones limpias, muy amplias y modernas. También remodeladas hace poco tiempo. Recomiendo 100%!!!

holidaymaker91 (8/5): Good in parts. - We stayed at this hotel either side of a Hurtigruten cruise to Antarctica. The room on both occasions was lovely and you could not fault the facilities. Breakfast was a bit chaotic given the large number of guests but the waiting staff were very helpful. The staff in Oliver's Bar on the first visit were poor (I raised this at the time) but on the second stay all was absolutely fine. The hotel is centrally located and a good base for exploring the City.

Pana-X8 (10/5): Very nice hotel in great location for exploring - This is a very nice hotel at the south end of the downtown area. It is in a good location for exploring the area and is a short walk from the Recoleta neighborhood. A little thin on nearby restaurants. Good-sized rooms with in-room safes and wi-fi. Great sound-proofing, couldn't hear the traffic on the boulevard below. Extensive breakfast buffet. Pleasant patio garden in the back. They were using the bar area as the restaurant while we were there. Good, but not great, food, erratic service. In Argentina it seems that the waiters will only bring the bill when asked, otherwise they feel it is bad form to present the bill unasked. Go to the top floor sun terrace for nice views.

paulkO811BP (10/5): A great base in Buenos Aires - I used the hotel as a base in Buenos Aires before heading down to Ushuaia and the Chilean fjords. After a long flight I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 and was grateful for an early check in. I was allocated a corner room on a high floor with lovely views of the port and city. I loved the design of the room, very modern and cool blues, whites and creams. Great bathroom with a tub and walk-in shower. Very comfortable bed too. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of choices. The hotel bar was a quiet retreat from the bustle of the city. Great cocktails. I ate here on two nights and the food and service were excellent. I was able to walk to all the attractions I wanted to see but cabs are plentiful and cheap, when I needed a cab I used Cabify, booking was efficient and the drivers very good. All in all a great place to stay in Buenos Aires.

La recepcionista FLORENCIA fue extremadamente irrespetuosa desde el primer momento: nos interrumpía, nos dejaba hablando solos y nos ignoraba mientras hablaba por teléfono. Al pedirle, con respeto, que nos atendiera correctamente tras un largo viaje, su actitud empeoró. Intentamos cambiar de recepcionista y como respuesta nos canceló la reserva en el acto, dejándonos en la recepción con todas nuestras valijas y sin habitación. Una falta de respeto total que arruinó por completo la imagen de un hotel que era referencia para nuestra familia desde hace años. No volveremos nunca más. Por suerte, en el Alvear Palace Hotel nos atendieron de manera impecable y nos salvaron la noche.

Escape60313161498 (2/5): DIshonest - This hotel took 213.26 Euros from my VISA card upon arrival for incidentals. Prior to check out on the 22 nd of March they told me this charge had been reversed. I have written two emails and still no refund and no response from the hotel. DIshonest business practices, check your accounts, I was not the only person who had this happen to them.

BillG1519 (10/5): City break - A fantastic stay here for 4 days. Excellent location for local attractions and felt like pure luxury. The bar service can be a little slow but the staff are amazing. Special mention to Renzo on reception who took the time to advise us on where to go, safe routes, when to walk and when to uber and helped us book restaurants and our trip to visit Uruguay. The stay would not have been as complete without his support. All the reception team and concierge team were super friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.

We are willing to give the hotel another try, as we do enjoy the location, but I must admit that our expectations are now quite low following these experiences. We have been returning to the Emperador Hotel regularly, as we really value its convenient proximity to the airport and the excellent nearby restaurants. However, we have unfortunately had another disappointing check-in experience. We had informed the hotel in advance that we would be arriving before 2am. When we arrived, it was pouring with rain and no one offered to assist us with our luggage. We had four large suitcases and three pieces of hand luggage, and when my wife asked the staff member outside for help, he simply looked at us without offering any assistance. At reception, the situation did not improve. The receptionist was unable to locate our reservation, and the check-in process took around 15 minutes. Again, no one offered to help us with our luggage to the room. This is not the first time we have experienced issues. Last year, despite booking a suite, we were unable to check in early, while a friend of ours from the US, who had a standard booking and arrived around 9am, was checked in early and upgraded to a suite. Meanwhile, we were asked to wait until 3pm, which felt very inconsistent and disappointing.However, having a second poor check-in experience is concerning and not in line with the level of service we would expect.

Rooms/suites are large and lovely, no clutter, great views from high floors. Even lower floors are quiet. Room service is good, food is decent. Try the empenadas! I will stay here again next time in town. To nay-sayers herein, goodness me what fussy twee sorts are we! Maybe pay lots more for entitlement elswhere.
Oztravels7 (10/5): A great choice when in Buenos Aires - This is a great hotel. The rooms are spacious with a separate shower and tub in the bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. Reception is beautiful. The staff were all outstanding here. The breakfast is excellent. The location is a little bit away from the central tourist points but only adds a few minutes extra walking. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Оформились, оплачиваю картой Master крупного европ. банка.Нельзя😳! Она дебетовая . Вдруг вы что-то испортите в отеле!!!! Ок . Вот VISA вашего BBVA. Нельзя😳!!! Она тоже дебетовая.Интересно, во всем мире , в любом месте , на порядок статуснее, все Ок и только тут нельзя! Ок. время 3-й час ночи. Сил нет. Вот, возьмите 1100 € ( стоимость 4 ночей) наличными, утром разберемся и сделаю перевод со счета.Звонили- звонили старшему менеджеру , не дозвонились , спал ночью.)) Опять отказ. Хорошо был один и почти налегке, а если семья, дети, чемоданы, ночь!!!! В итоге плюнул, взял такси , поехал в другой отель , спокойно оплатил с карты и заселился . Думал посудиться из принципа , но посмотрел как все там работает и махнул рукой… За многие годы первый раз столкнулся с таким вопиющим отношением к клиенту. Выводы делайте сами…
Dario (5/5): Relacion precio servicios ofrecidos no me gusto - me parecio normal cosa que no coincide con el precio abonado. En el desayuno no recibimos una buena atencion , ya que tuve q pedir 4 veces me traigan cafe y no podes servirtelo solo . Al salir nos hicieron esperar mas de 15 min en el estacionamiento pq no me entregaron le ticket de salida, un camarero fue y vino para que podamos salir con mucha demora . ME parece inaceptable esa atencion siendo que no era un problema mio. LA piscina tenia el agua demacsado fria no estaba bien climatizada. No me gusto el servicio por le precio abonado, hay muchos hoteles q por ese precio ofrecen mas o mejores servicios. Lei hotel Spa y fui por eso y nada de spa encontre. Me aloje y solicite servicio de masajes y no tenian turno , me dicen tenes que reservarlo con anterioridad y no tengo tanta anticipacion para saber que dia voy a ir al hotel, me parece otro punto a mejorar mucho. En fin por el precio abonado no volveria a ir.

The breakfast buffet is not grea , for a 5 star hotel, I personally think they can do quite a bit better. The plates are the size of a bread plate. The hotel is starting to show its age.

oaklet (8/5): Good for one night. - One night stay here was good Staff friendly and bell boys efficient. Room not ready but to be expected. Lot of people checking in/out. It’s a beautiful hotel. Clean and spacious. Our room was large on a corner with garden views. Huge king bed, well appointed bathroom. Downside is hearing planes constantly and the lack of amenities. (Seems to be a common theme in South America). See other review for Oliver’s Bar. I’d prefer to be closer to city but this was adequate for 1 night and early morning flight out.
Chris (10/5): Great Stay - Everything was great, but the outstanding part of this hotel was the staff! Extremely friendly and went out of their way to help, including a lost purse/ passport incident at midnight. Every one of them has a wonderful grast of English , so much better than my Spanish! Absolutely nothing!

63kevin1951 (8/5): Ideal location. - This hotel is ideally situated in Buenos Aires. It is close to the centre, about 20 mins walk to Teatro Colon as well as the hop on hop off bus route. Room was spacious and comfy and the bathroom well appointed. Breakfast was very good and the staff always on hand to help with any issues.

Tive que comprovar e enviar a prova das telas do booking para três pessoas para que fosse resolvido. Já fiquei em hotéis pelo mundo todo, mas pela primeira vez um hotel se recusou a esquentar o jantar do meu filho. Éramos 4 no quarto (eu, meu marido e 2 filhos) e por 2 dias tivemos que pedir mais toalhas pq somente deixavam 2 toalhas ao limpar o quarto, faltou cuidado e atenção com isso tb.
TravelDispatch (8/5): Great staff & rooms and okay location & food! - We were booked by our tour company for a single night before our trip down to Ushuaia and Antarctica. Although our room wasn’t ready after we arrived at 10AM, the staff checked us in and offered to store our luggage while we explored Buenos Aires. When we returned later, we found our room (805) was spacious, clean, and had great views of main train station. We enjoyed a couple cocktails and snacks from the bar downstairs. The location doesn’t make this hotel the easiest to access the main attractions downtown, but Uber is very accessible and the Retiro train station is pretty close. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast provided the morning our tour departed. Breakfast included cold eggs, wood-hard toast, and some additional baked goods, juice, and bad coffee. Other than that, we felt the hotel was a good stay with a friendly and helpful staff.
Marsha (9/5): Lovely hotel with accommodating staff. - The room was very pleasant, lovely with a very nice bathroom. The location was OK — a bit of a walk to most of the interesting parts of the city. But really it was fine. Certainly we knew the location when we booked the hotel. We were departing from Buenos Aires on an Antarctic cruise and the hotel prepared an early breakfast buffet for our group. It was not particularly good but most breakfast buffets are not. There is a nice bar but don’t bother to order a martini — the bartender doesn’t know how to make one. Also, not unusual for international destinations, in our experience.

David (10/5): Extremely pleasant experience. - Convenient location. Very pleasant outdoor terrace space in which to relax. Very good breakfast with a wide selection of food included with the buffet. Rooms spacious and well appointed. Staff very attentive and helpful. We had a late night flight and they very helpfully allowed us a couple of extra hours late check out FOC. This was our third stay at the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Apolonia70 (8/5): Two night stay, room service and high tea in gardens - I stayed 2 nights at the Emperador as I needed to join my Quark tour group here. It is a high end hotel with spacious accommodations and a range of services, including money exchange. I arrived late so chose room service for dinner. The room had a view to the city and port and was comfortable with subtle decor. My meal was great and I enjoyed the steak and grilled vegetables. The room was quit and I had a good night's sleep - comfortable bed and pillows. Next day I enjoyed an afternoon tea served in their gardens. The area has ample seating area and lovely gardens - the gardenias were in bloom and their fragrance was superb. The high tea was served on pieces of dark slate making for a strong contrast for the colourful menu of savoury and sweet items. I enjoyed a fresh take on traditional flavours with an Argentinian twist and some other flavours. Tea was served in a small cast iron pot that kept the tea hot for longer. A pleasant indulgence, with efficient and friendly serving staff. I enjoyed my stay at the Emperador and appreciated the friendly service and kindness shown at the reception desk. The hotel also held a bag for me while I was on a tour - much appreciated. Very enjoyable stay.

JP (10/5): Great stay, We really enjoyed the hotel! - My stay at the Emperador Hotel was really fantastic. It started with a wonderful check-in experience; I can't remember the staff member's name, but they were so friendly and assisted us perfectly. It makes a massive difference to start a trip this way. We arrived at 12:00 PM, and luckily our room was ready early, which we really appreciated. The hotel itself is stunning—pretty clean with a beautiful lobby area and modern rooms. We didn't have breakfast (though it looked very nice!), but we did have the most amazing New Year's dinner there. I have almost no complaints, except for two small notes regarding the room amenities: Water: We only received complimentary bottled water on the first day. It would be great if this was replenished daily. Coffee Station: The in-room coffee setup could be elevated. Currently, they offer the "teabag" style coffee with no cream or milk available. A pod machine (like a Nespresso) would fit the modern vibe of the room much better. Apart from the coffee and water situation, this was a stunning stay with great wine and beautiful facilities. Highly recommended!

E6242NTvanessab (8/5): Good stay - We stayed at this hotel three times over a period of three weeks. Our first stay was our longest and we were on the 8th floor. The room was lovely, good size, had a bathroom with walk in shower and bath and a safe. The staff on reception, especially Renzo were helpful. Breakfast was okay and Abril our waitress was great. We ate at the hotel and the food was good although served on cold plates. Beware of the hidden taxes. The price you see on the menu is not what you will pay. Before we stayed at the hotel Alejandro on the concierge desk had also been very helpful. Our second stay was for one night and the room on the 7th floor was exactly the same as before and we were happy. The reception staff on this occasion though were sullen and not very helpful and there was no-one available to help us take our cases to the room. Also the restaurant wanted to charge us for decaffeinated coffee but on our previous stay it was included as part of our breakfast. We did not pay but this situation should not have occurred in the first place. On our final stay, for one night, we were put in a room on the 5th floor. This was a disappointment as it had no bath. The shower was a full "rain" shower with no hand held shower head which was most inconvenient. We mentioned this to the reception desk at around 5.00pm but they shrugged their shoulders. The next morning we found a note under our door timed at 21:50 offering us a room change! In summary I would recommend this hotel but whilst most of the staff are very helpful some others let the team down.

Le café est imbuvable, idem pour les jus de fruits, que dire du pain....désastreux ! Et accessoirement, nous nous sommes retrouvés avec une chambre dotée de 2 lits simples au lieu d'un grand lit....
santiagogaleros (10/5): GREAT OPTION IN BUENOS AIRES - The Hotel Emperador is an excellent hotel. The rooms are quite spacious, comfortable, clean, and very nice. It's very well located in the Retiro district, very close to Recoleta. The service could be improved a bit; the staff sometimes seems a little formal. However, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room had a sofa, and writing desk. The bathroom was nice, with nice toiletries. There was a safe, kettle and air conditioning. The breakfast had a good selection of food, but they didn’t open at the advertised time, so when they opened some 15 mins late, there was a crazy rush of people trying to have breakfast before their early departures. It was bedlam! The coffee was not good, too bitter and too strong.
