• Fairalways (6/5): Stunning complex - budget all inclusive offering - Firstly, this is a wonderful complex set around a stunning Caribbean beach, lovely pools, gardens & so many places to relax, no issue with beds & shade. Our Garden/sea room view room was perfect, with a spacious terrace, chairs, table & a sofa bed. I would say however that it was the 3rd attempt as the other 2 rooms were tired & had some fundamental issues. Thankfully reception staff were excellent in resolving our issues. Some of the complex is clearly in need of an upgrade. But there are some 'buts'. The all inclusive offering is disappointing - the food is at best average, even in the a la carte restaurants - they offer steak, but the cut of meat was poor & they would never prepare it as requested. The Topaz buffet restaurant overlooking the sea is stunning, but the food is left to stand far too long before replenishing. The guy on the steak station was clearing down at 7.20 despite the restaurant being open until 9.30, very shoddy service. Egg station staff at breakfast were excellent though. The drinks offering is poor - there are 2 house reds to choose from, the Cabinet is in our view un-drinkable & the Merlot just about - they don't change, so if you really like your red wine, be prepared to pay $45 per bottle. The cocktails are poor, hurriedly thrown together - they don't resemble what you would order in a good bar. Their attempt at a marguerita was abject, no salt in the rim of the glass... In the main, the staff in the restaurant & around the place are friendly & helpful. We couldn't say this at the bar however - they serve your drink, that's it, no friendliness or bon ami! You just don't expect this in the Caribbean! The entertainment is not for us - it's cheap, tacky & lacking in Caribbean charm - we didn't travel all that way to listen to half drunk shouti & sadly out of tune karaoke shoe offs! The DJ when on is quite unbearable, you can't hear yourself speak. It's disappointing that there isn't another bar with soft jazz or reggie music that you could enjoy after dinner. We escaped to a quiet area most nights. All that said, we enjoyed our holiday despite the buts, the place is so stunning. Special mention to Renee at the coffee shop & Catrice in the Topaz, along with wonderful service, they absolutely showcased the Caribbean charm you would expect.
• 357lexak (8/5): Pineapple beach - We are a group of 9 traveling. It was all of our first time in Antigua. Age range of 29-70. Overall the pineapple has been really nice. It’s a very quiet resort. Definitely more of an older people vibe. Food: there are very few options for dinner. There are only two “formal” dinning options and are usually full. Would suggest trying to make your reservations right when you arrive. The buffet has been decent for dinner, different themes. Breakfast buffet is always the same. Lunch has a few options a snack bar and the buffet and a bbq grill out. The snack bar also offers late night snacks. The water is safe to drink here. Bring a re usable water bottle because they do not give you a water bottle. You can purchase water bottles in the gift shop. Property: very well maintained and clean. If you book an ocean view room, it is quite the walk up to your room. The rooms have been nice and clean. There are a lot of steps. Everything has been clean. There are a lot of birds around the buffet and sometimes actually in the food in the buffet. The pools are very nice and clean and warm. The beach workers have been trying to keep the seaweed cleaned up. No one comes on the beach to sell you things. Garth and Marvin do have an excursion stand, they are not pushy about selling excursions and have been helpful about answering questions. There are plenty of beach chairs and pool chairs. There are two beach towels in your room to start. There are water activities included, you can get snorkel gear and paddle boards. Staff: usually pretty friendly. The guy that works late at the snack bar was consistently very rude and throwing things around at times. The lady making dinner reservations was also very rude. The Bar tenders and wait staff were great. Drinks: the bartenders rotate around to different bars and then there is inconsistency in the drinks. Overall were good. The bar did run out of bananas and Diet Coke. Entertainment: falls very short. There is nothing going on during the day. At night there might be a dj or karaoke there are no shows and the dj or karaoke is very short lived. There is no music playing by any of the pools during the day. Things I would add to the list to do for sure: Swim with the sting rays Go to Shirley heights for the sun set.
• karlkB6186VP (10/5): Best time ever! - We are threepeats to Pineapple, and each time is better than the last. Besides the beauty of the property, what makes this place truly special is the staff! From the check-in to housekeeping, porters, bar tenders, restaurant staff, tour staff, grounds keepers, spa staff, water sports staff , and the best entertainment and guest services staff, we can't wait to arrive and reconnect with the friends they have become. We even have our favorite taxi drivers (Javier, aka Sunday-Monday and Curtis). The resort is always a relaxing and refreshing experience, and the food is great! Thanks again for a great trip!
• MaryBlueMaryBlue (10/5): Coming Home to Pineapple - More Wonderful Than Ever - We stayed at PBC from late February to early March, 2026. We hadn't been back for four years and things have really changed - for the better. All the renos have elevated the experience significantly, the food is delicious, varied and excellent, with new restaurant offerings such as Orchid, and the customer service is top notch. Congratulations to the chef(s). Everything was delicious, especially at the speciality restaurants. It was our anniversary and Zhanira at Guest Services made it more special and memorable than I could have imagined. She beautifully decorated our room on arrival and arranged our anniversary dinner at the garden gazebo. We have been to Pineapple 14 times over the years, and each time it truly feels like we are coming home. We were so happy and touched to see so many of our long-time friends and super hard-working Pineapple staff including Kevin, Sonia, Jo-Anne, Tricia, Arlene, Vincent, Joyce, Delta, Sherri-Ann, and Anne Marie, to name just a few. And we met new and wonderful staff who made our stay extra-special as well: Kutrice, Jasper, Shakira, Elisha, Natoya, Clementina, Renee, Wallace, Delroy and Kady-Ann to name only a few. The woman who cleaned our room daily did a perfect job. Everyone was so lovely and made it feel like coming home. Thank you to everyone xo.
• F1622BAjoanneb (10/5): FUN, FUN, SUN, SUN, NICE, NICE 2026 - We just got back from Pineapple Beach after 8 days. Overall the trip was a huge success for my whole family. Views were amazing, food had many choices, the updated oceanfront rooms and the cats on the property were an A+++. The staff made the trip for all of us, but especially our kids who are in their 20’s. RoRo, Guan, Shariff, Renee made it a point everyday to have moments with my kids and make the day from start at the Cafe to the end with Entertainment at night. Thank you to the staff for making this vacation a memorable one!!
• HubbellGardiner (10/5): Great Week at the Beach! - We were invited by my husband's best friend to spend a week at the Pineapple Resort. A week at an all inclusive resort is not our usual travel mode, so I wasn't sure if I would be happy even if the pictures of the resort were beautiful. We arrived at the resort after a 45 minute cab ride for which we paid 42 dollars. We were greeted with a drink and smiling faces. The check in was painless, and we were directed to get lunch while our rooms were made ready and they held our bags. We went to the Topaz Grill, a large buffet of decent food. The setting is beautiful even with the birds dive bombing as if we, the diners, are London during the blitz. Any food left out becomes theirs as they peck away madly. By the end of our trip, I was almost used to their presence. An hour later, we were shown our room. We had booked a room with an ocean view. The room was large and clean with a nice-sized balcony overlooking the water and the entire resort. We would sit there every day after spending the day on the beach. The shower was large. We didn't get bath cloths the first few days or enough bath soap, but they were always brought when we requested them. We would have breakfast at the buffet where you could get specially made omelettes, pancakes, French toast and waffles. We usually had lunch at the buffet too except for the one day we took an excursion or we made the walk to the top of the hill to eat at the Outhouse. My party disagreed about the quality of the food, but I loved the ribs and the chicken, not to mention the view of the roughness and the beauty of the water surrounding us. At night, in addition to the buffet, we ate alll the specialty restaurants. The Orchid has a 50 dollar uncharge for which two of our party generously treated us. The steak was tasty, and it was the only place I was able to get an aperol spritz. The desserts were mostly bad during the week, but the Orchid dessert was the exception. We also at the Pineapple Grill, an open air restaurant next door to the Orchid. Again the food was better than at the buffet. We cared the least for the Italian restaurant where the acoustics made it difficult to have a conversation.The lasagne as a side was good, but the food overall wasn't great. The service at all the restaurants was professional and friendly. In fact most of the people who worked the resort were friendly and helpful. We took an excursion on the Xtreme boat where we got to swim with the stingrays, do deep water snorkeling, and sit on the beach with very strong rum punch. There was not enough shade so we were all burned by the end of the day, but the guys who managed the tour were fun and we mostly enjoyed the day. I just recommended the resort to my cousin who wants to take her daughter for her graduation present to the Caribbean. I would go back.
• SandraOCardiff (6/5): Luxury - I don’t think so. - The Pineapple Beach Club claims to be “the best in laid-back luxury” but I’m afraid it falls way short of what I expected. Let’s start with the positives. The resort itself is beautiful with a lovely beach; the grounds are impeccable and very well maintained. On the whole the place is very clean although after the weekly beach party there were a lot of straws, plastic sauce pots and even a few forks still in the beach the next day. Restaurants - there is the buffet which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the whole the food was very mediocre, although I have to say the cakes and pastries were exceptional. There are then two ‘à la carte’ restaurants and you can have a maximum of 4 à la carte dinners per week. There is a third à la carte restaurant if you are prepared to pay an additional 55 US dollars each, which I think is crazy given the cost of the holiday. Staffing - most of the staff in the restaurants and bars were ok, some very friendly and helpful, but others absolutely useless. And there were two separate occasions when I actually left the restaurant to go to the bar myself to get a drink. On the one occasion the waitress assured me several times that my drink was coming but it never materialised and on the other occasion we’d waited 20 minutes at our table and no one had even asked us what we wanted. I was thirsty and needed a drink - not alcohol I would stress. Rooms - we were in block one and had a lovely sea view. The cleaning staff were excellent. But no hand soap provided in the bathroom! Why ever not??? It’s bonkers. There was a fridge in the room but no minibar; so if you wanted drinks in your room you either bought cans / bottles from the shop or used your own personal cup. No bathrobe or slippers either. But now for the best bit. When you arrive you’re bombarded with loads of information but after travelling for many hours you just can’t take it all in. I don’t know why hotels don’t realise this. There’s no resort map provided either so I downloaded the resort app but no map on there. In the end I went onto the website and screenshot the map so I could enlarge it on my phone and work out where we were going! But the last day was the best, we knew we had to pay tourism tax (ok no problem) and there was a voluntary contribution of 2US$ per night for a local charity (again no problem) but a resort fee? When I asked what this was the guy on reception didn’t know but having spoken to a colleague he said it was for “the sanitation of our room”! I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous; since when do you pay extra to have your room cleaned? In the end we had to pay out an extra £350 or so; the holiday wasn’t cheap to start off with. Sorry but this isn’t the‘luxury’ I was expecting; I’ve had far better holidays elsewhere in the Caribbean that were much better value for money.
• JandDTogether (10/5): Another great vacation at Pineapple Beach Club. - Last visit was 2022 and there have been lots of updates! ROOM We always stay in Oceanview. This trip we were in the 700’s. The only difference between the Oceanview buildings is a slight change in the view (and a few more or less steps). Very comfortable bed. Bathrooms had a nice walk-in shower with soft towels and nice amenities. RESTAURANTS All the restaurants have had major updates! And you can now book reservations for a week! I think the food this trip was the best ever. Congrats to the entire food team. The Topaz buffet is completely new, food stations and dining area. The food was great for all meals; lots of selection and always fresh! As always, Jo-Ann is the BEST. Pineapple Grill is now open air with all new seating. Il Pietro is now air conditioned! Food was great in both. The Pelican snack bar and the Outhouse were outstanding! Would be nice to have some healthier options (although the logistics could be a challenge). The coffee shop is a VERY popular in the morning! Great coffees and snacks. We also had a specialty dinner at Orchid, Pineapple’s new upscale restaurant. Perfect for a special occasion! Excellent food and attentive, professional service. POOLS New chairs and beach towels everywhere The main pool has some new cabanas (a nice add) The last bridge at the main pool has been removed Umbrellas were popular and hard to get sometimes, but we found lots of places to be in the shade. BARS All the staff are great! A better selection of wines and some ‘top shelf’ liquor. STAFF Congratulations to the ENTIRE Pineapple team! To us, you are what keeps us coming back. Old or new, management or housekeeping, everyone isl working hard to make your vacation the best! We were glad to see a lot of our ‘old favourites’ and met lots of excellent new staff. • M5912KFmarting (10/5): Pineapple Beach Caribbean Getaway - Our winter sun holiday led us to the fabulous island of Antigua and after researching extensively the Pineapple beach club resort.This hotel ticks all the boxes for a genuine Caribbean feel resort away from the corporate hotel chain offers- you will not be disappointed! Location - the resort lies about 30 minutes from the airport - taxi transfers from desk outside the main terminal cost $42 government capped- it is in the NE of the island on the Atlantic side so a little remote but on a small island easy to reach other places. Hotel - welcoming refreshing towel and rum/ fruit punch on arrival smiling faces made the start to our holiday a good one. We had booked a garden room with partial sea view Room 314 via Virgin holidays this turned out to be a good choice with views over the gardens and the sound of waves gently breaking just in view. The room was large and had recently been repainted large comfortable king size bed , fridge, ferocious hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities ,TV limited channels ironing board - plugs were US mode so UK visitors need to bring adaptors. Very large balcony with good views - bathroom included all toiletries adequate shower. Beach and grounds - the resort is located in Long Bay a smallish bay with soft sand and calmish waters long enough for an early morning beach stroll - water sports hobbie cats kayaks are available but when we were there it was windy so limited opportunity to participate. Grounds are kept immaculately tidy with a squad of gardeners working to maintain the effect. Food and Drink - the main eating area is the Topaz buffet dining room for all meals - open to the sea breezes and local bird life . Plenty of variety available breakfast fresh fruit / cereals/ cooked / omelette pancakes and waffles French toast Lunch salads and some cooked - evening meals themed nights - roast on Sunday , Asian , Tex Mex . A la cartes - these need to be booked in advance ideally early on - Italian El Pietros - reasonable European cuisine and Pineapple Grill - grilled dishes strip steak salmon ect both were fine . For special occasions Orchid offered more for a $ 50 additional charge . Snack bar had a regular supply of hotdogs / burgers / fries/ pizzas and please go to the Outhouse at the top of the hill for friendly service great views and ribs/ jerk chicken / fried beans / salad. The resort has numerous bars which provide decent cocktails alcoholic and non alcoholic- good local beer- wine mainly red and white ( no rose) and some branded spirits Gordon gin Johnny Walker whiskey - useful places to refill water bottles for the heat as the resort only provides 2 plastic water bottles on arrival. Entertainment - plenty going on resort orientation aqua gym painting classes jewellery making tie dye tee shirts volleyball ect Evening low key singers trio karaoke film night dj - demographic dictates an early curfew so 10.30 is run down time Island - do go out and about to see the island and it’s friendly people - excursions are numerous on both land and sea - we visited Devils bridge which is a half hour hike from the hotel take water and do not go in the heat of the day Took a pink panther half day excursion hotel pick up to Shirley Heights English Harbour Nelson’s Dockyard Pigeon Point beach great half day island orientation thanks to the lovely Gaby. St John’s the capital is worth a short visit for the cathedral / museum / cruise port area. We would have liked to go on a sea excursion but it was very windy whilst there so chose not to. Staff - a key element of any hotel/ resort are its staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with the majority at PBC. 1671 coffee shop- Tina Annenetta Renee and Wallace were a pleasure to see each day producing great coffee and added treats - Topaz dining - Jo Ann omelettes with a smile / Troy on pancakes - Nicole smiling greeting every day- Egebert, Kai and many more. Ents- Anne Marie the fun queen , Tyrian and others. All the bar staff , security, gardeners and reception all smiled and communicated - all good was the question - how could it not be . Finally this resort has a warmth and rustic charm to it - relaxed calming and genuine - you can relax and chill or be active as you need or mix it up with some of each. Would I return - yes I would ( time and funds permitting of course
• W3988NRadamm (8/5): Quiet and relaxing... just what we were looking for! - We are a married couple in our mid-40s that were looking for a nice, quiet place to spend a kid-free week and get away from winter weather. Our criteria were pretty simple: a clean and comfortable room with a nice view, easy access to the beach, good quality food & drink and a calm and relaxing atmosphere (not at all interested in the party vibe of some island resorts). Pineapple Beach Club Antigua checked all of the boxes and it’s clear to us why we met so many guests who regularly return to the resort. Pineapple Beach Club Antigua is a fairly small resort. If you are looking for a ton of activities and dining options you may find yourself disappointed, but we found the food to be consistently good to excellent, especially the Pineapple Grill (which we ate at twice), The Orchid (which carries a surcharge but is worth the price of $50/per person) and The Outhouse (unfortunate name, yes, but offers delicious barbecue and spectacular views). There is also a snack bar that serves burgers, fries, nachos, and other quick meals - simple,but quite good! Even the buffet, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, was consistently good and offered just enough variety and island-inspired dishes to keep it interesting. The only restaurant we were disappointed in was Chef Pietro’s, but that could be because we get plenty of good quality Italian food at home in Toronto. In addition to the restaurants there is a great little coffee shop that serves specialty coffees all day long and also had ice cream and baked goods, as well as two bars. Service everywhere we went was extremely friendly and responsible. Of course what draws people to the islands is the sun and sand. One huge plus of this resort is that you don’t need to get up at the crack of down to reserve chairs. We often had a casual breakfast at the buffet around 8:30 or 9 and by 10am there were still plenty of loungers on the chair and by the pool area. The beach was amazing - soft sand, shaded spots close to a building on one side (which is where we usually set up), and chairs on the other side with lots of palm tree and umbrella shade. We found the water was quite calm, even when the orange flag was on display. There were nicely sized floating loungers secured in place that would sometimes fill up - but it was rare we couldn’t get one. We are more interested in a beach over the poolside, but they seemed quite nice and were never over crowded, also with plentiful lounge chairs and cabanas. A few surprises: The coffee option in the room was not great but the coffee shop was great, just meant an early morning walk to pick some up. While the coffee shop had pastries they were mostly desserts. It would have been nice to see more danishes, croissants and muffins for breakfast. There is no stocked fridge in the room - but we actually didn’t mind and if we really wanted it we could have had it stocked for a fee. Otherwise you can always grab a few drinks at the bar and bring them back to your own. We were concerned initially about the fact that there were only two bars - one of which closed early, but this was rarely a problem. It’s worth noting that the wait staff does not provide beach or poolside service, so you need to actually get up off your chair to go get a drink. Not a problem for us - and in fact we found it kept us a bit more in line without overindulging. From past experience at other all inclusive resorts, it is far too easy when rum punch is delivered to your chair beachside at 10am! All in all an excellent place to spend a week without the kids and we will definitely be back. It was clean, friendly and relaxing, and we liked how close it was to the airport - only a 30 minute taxi ride vs. the long drives we were accustomed to at resorts in Jamaica and Dominican Republic. If you’re looking for a party vibe and a ton of activities, this is likely not the place for you, but we loved it.

Entire resort always clean with excellent service. I have been traveling for years, and this resort provides the best quality of customer service I have ever received. The restaurants are wonderful. Some you will need to make reservations to avoid missing outstanding dinners. Fun and entertaining activities at resort. Great amenities and options for excursions. Great value for a vacation. Excellent experience.
• boo98 (8/5): winter break - stayed 3 week. Check in was easy. Food was good, We did the al carts, they were nice but as everywhere reserve early make sure and check out the BBQ place up top it is incredible, soo good, only open for lunch though. Beds were comfortable, rooms were large and the balcony was huge. We were on the top floor with a garden view. Grounds are very well taken care of but the pools are cold (just a heads up) The beach is nice and you can snorkel. Head to the veranda (a sister hotel across the road) for a nice walk and they have better gift shop. You can also walk to the devils bridge, but take water, it's a hike. We rented a car and drove the island and went golfing, way cheaper than a taxi, they are stupid expensive, Free parking at the hotel
• lindamB1979IA (10/5): Highly recommend. One of our best vacations. - This resort had the perfect mix of everything that makes a vacation perfect. The beauty, relaxation, restaurants/bars, entertainment, excursions, daily activities and staff all made for a fantastic week. The staff at this resort could not have been more accommodating. We feel like we made friends with many of them and would love to return in the future to see them again. My daily aqua gym was so much fun! The weekly street fair/beach party was unbelieveable. The amount of work the staff endures for this carnival-like party every week is amazing. Normally I have no desire to return to the same destination because there are too many other places to experience but I would make an exception for the PBC!!
• Capri60 (10/5): Would definitely recommend - Fabulous friendly resort. Great location even though it’s not on calm Caribbean coast. It’s great for swimming. Beautiful beach. We loved the coffee house the girls in there are lovely my husband & I went there twice a day , cappuccino and flavoured lemonade. Wonderful views at lunchtime. All the team are friendly & helpful especially Tyrian on entertainments . Such a helpful and genuinely nice young man. Love the bracelet & necklace that I made.
• Moemoe61 (10/5): Had a great time. - Right from arriving at the resort until we left Pineapple we had an awesome experience. Our waterfront room was updated with a gorgeous view. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Food was excellent. Staff was the best. Shout out to Tyrain of the “Fun Squad”. He became our family for the week we were there. From leading water aerobics to being our teammate in bocce ball to playing coconut bowling and beyond Tyrain showed his commitment to his job, his commitment to making sure everyone had a great time and his quirky humor just made for a great week. This was our first visit to an all-inclusive. Would we go back-absolutely. Thank you to the staff for making our experience awesome.
• sharpers (8/5): Waiting for February 2027 - I am reluctant to write a positive review of Pineapple Beach Club — only because it will result in a greater number of bookings and we might not be able to return to this beautiful place!! We were here for the last 2 weeks of February 2026, our second trip to the resort. Our building was different from last year but the rooms had had an update and were very clean and comfortable (I’d truly like to know where mattresses and pillows were purchased because I’d order one!) There were a couple of odd things — light switches that didn’t connect to anything and a full length mirror that was hung about 10” too low, but neither of these things really mattered in the overall comfort of the space. As always the staff were exemplary— Nichole, Ronnett, Tricia (pronounced TrissEEa 😘) Judith, Kady-Ann, Jo Anne, Teniqua, Jason and Egbert in Topaz and Renee and Tina from the coffee shop, as well as many others Topaz has multiple delicious offerings every day (if you have difficulty finding something, you may be a bit too fussy) — there is also ‘The Outhouse’ (a VERY different meaning in Canada and the U.S.) is a great place for bbq and the view is spectacular. Both the Pineapple Grill and Chef Pierre’s offer a different , more intimate, type of dining experience— although Chef Pierre’s can be a bit ‘loud’ due to the many ceramic, metal and marble surfaces…nothing to absorb the sound. The beach, pool areas (3) and grounds are immaculately kept. The beach was groomed every morning and there was never a reason to do the 6 a.m. ‘zombie walk’ to secure chairs. Towels were plentiful. Water sports and equipment were easily available. As for excursions, G-Man and DJ — set up right on the beach — offer a number different trips at very reasonable prices (often better than through a travel agent) and are very trustworthy. We did Shirley Heights and Stingray City and I’d highly recommend both.

In particular there was one staff member. Tyrain who stood out above all the staff. From the on site tour to the multiple activities, Tyrain was so nice to be with. He was funny, kind ,great to talk to. The resort was so beautiful, clean, great food and activities. All staff was wonderful Can't wait to go back. Thank you
• chrisjL7183CF (10/5): Fantastic Resort! Highly Recommended! - I travelled solo to Antigua and this was the second resort I visited. I stayed at Pineapple Beach Club for seven nights and absolutely loved it. The reception staff were exceptional, I was greeted with a cold towel and glass of rum punch on arrival, and no question was any trouble. Was promptly escorted to my room, which was ready early by one of the helpful portering staff. The rooms are cosey and clean, and have everything you need. The beds are comfortable, there is a safe in the room, and good showers. Despite some of the reviews saying the rooms weren't serviced regularly, my room was serviced on every day. An amazing beach, with plenty of loungers by the ocean and pool. Plenty of towels too. The food was unbelievable, and an amazing cocktail selection. They don't hold back on their rum portions! Great buffet with a good selection of healthy, nutritious food, as well as good holiday food. The a la carte restaurants were superb, my favourite was probably pineapple grill. The pool side grill is very good too and offers a selection of snacks as needed. A big shout out to the staff in the coffee shop too, who are friendly, upbeat and superb. There is a great shop on site too which sells what you need, water (although the resort water is fine), sun tan lotions. I did struggle with mosquito bites though, which were prevented by sprays (which the shop sold), so do take a good mosquito spray if you are prone to bites. I have nothing but positive feedback about this resort. I was really impressed and felt very welcome as a solo traveller. The staff are all consistently friendly, helpful and professional. I gave tips to good service, but didn't feel any attitude, or pressure to like I did in another resort. I tipped a lot, because the service was so good! And the staff were consistently appreciative.
• davidpA7133JN (8/5): Stunning seas views and beach - First visit to Antigua. Trailfinders recommended this resort which was perfectly comfortable, first class and all inclusive. HOWEVER, all inclusive doesn't include a $ 25 per day tourist charge or $ 10 per day tourist tax, which can quickly add up ! Neverthe less, we enjoyed comfortable, sea-view rooms, excellent dining and beautiful beach and pools. There is also a gym and a tennis court. Whilst we mostly didn't use, the resort had a full daily programme of activities. The main dining room (Topaz) was spacious, breezy, overlooking ocean and beaches and served excellent breakfasts, lunches and dinner and we tried two of the three specialty restaurants, Italian and Caribbean, both excellent. The steak restaurant had a premium cover charge per person. There is also a characterful Caribbean barbecue diner at the top of the hill which is well worth a visit for the views and the eccentric signs left by visitors. We were adopted by a resident black cat which visited our balcony most evenings. The feature we enjoyed most was the excellent coffee shop with tempting daily selection of cakes. Wine, beer, soft drinks all included so generally excellent value for money. I recommend at minimum a half day island tour which we took through BO Tours (who arranged airport transfers-about 25 minute drive). The tour took in all the major sights, the highlight being Lord Nelson's Dockyard and the views from Shirley Heights and the Blockhouse. Our thanks to a wonderful guide/driver, Josie-intelligent, informative and with a delightful sense of humour. Overall we were very charmed by Antigua and its welcoming and friendly people, who achieved independence in 1981. Only complaint was no-one alerted us to White Night, Friday evening beach barbecue, long queues for unimpressive food choice. Poorly organised.

The resort is one of the best places I've ever been and I plan to go back.
• 667jaimegg (2/5): Security needs training (or firing) and signage needed on property - We visited Long Bay in Antigua on our first day there and when we arrived the restaurant nearest the carpark was closed. We were told that beaches are free for all to access in Antigua so we stupidly walked down the beach and saw a bar just off the beach. Before we got to the bartender we were stopped by a woman we saw further down the beach sitting on her phone chatting with a man. She did not explain who she was but immediately was unpleasant and asked us for our room number. We explained we were not staying there and wanted to buy a drink to which she responded 'No you have to leave.' She then frogmarched us by walking very closely behind us on to the beach for another 20-30 meters. We told her we did not feel comfortable with her behaviour and eventually went back to her 'friend' and he too waved his hand after hearing her explanation and he too shouted at us to leave. We explained there was no signage to help us know what was public and what was private. Having travelled a lot I have to say it was a horrible way to start a visit to a country and left us feeling like the rest of the island would be just as unwelcoming. I have no idea if this resort thinks this is acceptable or if they condone this typ of service but be warned.

• WarningU2 (6/5): A Nice All Inclusive Resort - It's been 7 years since we last visited PBC. It hasn't really changed that much. Same vibe and beautiful location. We booked a 2 week Garden View room with Air Canada vacations. The rooms are a little nicer, since the renovations and the restaurants brighter. The staff are friendly but others can be quite surly at times. A tip can sometimes bring a smile. The grounds are well maintained and look beautiful. Although, there is was a persistent smell of raw sewage between the beach and the end of the beach view rooms on the path from the beach. The cost of the well maintained grounds is the constant drone of blowers and lawn mowers. All that said, we had a lovely 2 week vacation overall. My overall rating is 3 stars (good). In order to keep this review succinct I will rate each item with the number of stars; where 1 is poor, 2 is fair, 3 is good, 4 is very good and 5 is exceptional. Accommodations: 3 stars Small comfortable rooms with a firm bed. Fair water pressure except when they fill the pool. Plus, the hottest water I've ever experienced in the Caribbean. TV works with good Wi-Fi, to even be able to connect to Netflix. One annoyance is the light switch beside the bed; it also turns off the socket so my hearing aids didn't charge. The AC is really good, actually maybe too good. We turned it off and opened the windows but the screens have a number of holes in them so we had a fair number of mosquitos in the room. Housekeeping: 2 to 3 stars Varies with staff. Tipping made a difference by the second week. Had to ask for toilet paper occasionally. I found hair in the shower stall from previous guest on arrival. They do change the sheets daily and provide fresh towels. They washed the floor twice during our stay. Unfortunately, the bathroom had the persistent smell of urine. I think there was a leak around the toilet. I reported it to the front desk. Food: 2 stars for specialty restaurants but 4 stars for buffet. The food is OK. This is not fine dining. At breakfast you have to be prepared to fight the birds and watch for poop on the chairs. Cover your drinks with a plate. Watch out for the bread warmer / toaster. I put my toast through a second time and set the smoke alarm off, that continued to sound for 10 minutes with no investigation. Trying to get a coffee is a challenge at times in the morning. Very few smiles from staff at this time of the morning. Found it's better coffee at the Cafe near the gift store. The Topaz buffet is pretty good most nights. Get there early (630pm) to the Topaz for the best food (when it is hot). The soups are excellent. The lunch shack is good but the lady in charge has a hard time remembering your order. Not the friendliest. We ate at the Pineapple Grill for Valentines dinner at $100 extra per person. Food was not worth the price. My wife's shrimp kebab dish was under seasoned and undercooked. I don't think any of meals had been introduced to salt except for the soup. The Italian restaurant was awful. My wife was served sour mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Turned my stomach. The cheese was going off. The waitress was very apologetic and got her a different appetizer but the hostess just laughed and said "never had them". My wife then had Cannelloni as her main, which were ok. I had the ragu over fettuccine but it was more like lumps of stewed beef. It was not what I expected given the menu description. I had perhaps just 5 fork turns of pasta. It was also freezing in there, so cold I had to get our jackets from Canada to keep warm. We left without having coffee and dessert. I tipped our waitress Dinarh well, as she really made an effort despite the supervisor belittling her in front of patrons. I felt very sorry for her. Drinks: 3 stars Top shelf quality alcohol including bourbon and scotch. Had a decent Gin and Tonic and a Negroni. The red wine is OK but it is not going to win any 90 rating. The beer they serve on tap is pretty good. The mango daiquiri is to die for. The main bar was good. Here was the only place where it seemed tipping made a difference in service. Activities: 2 stars They try to get people up but the mostly senior crowd is happiest to read on the beach. We didn't bother with the orientation tour. At night the entertainment seemed a little lame so we retired early. Slept like a log. Beach and Pools: 4 stars Long Bay beach is a small but very nice beach that has white sand and a short slope out. There are large floats that you can sit on. The waves when the wind is blowing can be quite daunting with a rip tide in places. The red flag is often up. The pools are well maintained and refreshing. There are ample places to sit by the pool but the beach can be a challenge to get a lounger with shade. Most prime spots are reserved by 8am. The towels are exhausted most days by 10, especially as some people take 4 towels each. The loungers are new and top quality. The beach is considered a quiet zone so no loud music. You don't get hassled by vendors on this beach like other islands. There is the resident Marvin and his assistants who ask if we were interested in any tours. Left me alone when I said we had booked a catamaran with our AC vacation rep. Next door to the hotel there are some vendor huts on the beach with better prices than the hotel. Guest Services and Management: 5 stars My wife fell during the Caribbean street festival. There is a little slope from the stage area to the street. Her foot slipped here and she went down with a nasty cut on her knee. She was whisked off by the duty manager Vincent for some bandages and antiseptic cream. Follow-up was excellent. They were very concerned. They really should put some anti slip tape on the slope. A major improvement is that guest services will allow you to book multiple nights in the specialty restaurants at one time. 7 yrs ago you had to line up each day to reserve a table. Wasted an hour each time. After our first two meals we didn't bother booking again.
• 360vickib (10/5): Wonderful Resort and Staff - This is our 4th year of staying here. I cannot rave about this resort enough. We do not like the huge resorts and prefer this size. We booked an Oceanview room and the views are amazing. There are some steps required to get there and if you have mobility issues this might be challenging. We always travel the same time each year and have gotten to know the staff really well. The food was good. We only had one night at one of the reservation restaurants that was just ok. We didn't do any of the watersports on site but did rent a private catamaran (Catch the Cat) that was amazing. There were 6 of us and this was the second year doing this. We tip, we noticed some people do not but we feel it is important to do. We also tipped out housekeeping staff and restaurant servers. The mini fridge in your room is not stocked but the will give you some things if you ask. Wasn't necessary for us. We plan our 5th trip back God willing next year!
• Blurfan79 (8/5): Stunning, relaxing, lovely touches - Just returned from a week at pineapple beach. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We had two garden terrace rooms which were roomy and near to everything. The coffee shop was a brilliant addition and we loved both the bbq at the top of the hill and also the pelican snack bar where the pineapple burgers- especially the veggie one for me and the sweet potato fries were amazing. We didn’t bother with any of the other restaurants as the topaz was brilliant. We loved eating outside by the sea. The beach was lovely and so were the pools. Sadly people do get up and reserve seats which means when you go out it’s trickier to find a seat in the shade and also can be tricky to find towels as people seem to grab loads rather than just one each. However, we always found a seat and moved it to the shade if necessary. The sea was warm and so clear. We hired a car for two days- roads are awful. And saw the main sites. That was the only drama as although we handed the keys to reception, they couldn’t find them and we had panicked calls from both reception and the car hire company. All sorted in the end but was stress that could have been avoided. Would recommend the hotel.
• SylviaD314 (10/5): Perfect Winter Sunshine - Back down to Earth after a wonderful holiday at Pineapple Beach. To get the con out of the way, as they were very few, the late afternoon/early evening check in wasn't the best or the most welcoming. Told to check in by QR code, then had to sign a form. We were given freshen-up towels and a rum punch. Taken to our room by a very friendly, informative guy who pointed out places in the resort as we walked past. We had waterfront room 530, top floor of a 2 storey building. The room was lovely. Recently refurbished. Very comfortable, large beds. I have included pics of refurbished bathroom as I had been searching for 3 months prior to our trip to find one, so promised myself I'd upload some on my return. Room has a fridge, kettle and towards the end of our stay, we acquired a coffee machine. Coffee bags were provided along with tea and milk. No water. The hairdryer was a problem in that it wasn't attached to wall in bathroom, maybe they haven't got round to it yet, so very difficult to use. I did ask at guest services if a regular hand held hairdryer was available but nothing came of that request. Jermy who looked after our room was a ray of sunshine and kept our room perfect. Food and bars: We couldn't complain at all. The open air buffet with its beautiful tropical beach view was a pleasure to dine in, both during the day and at night. Never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for a table. Attentive, friendly staff and always a good selection of well cooked food, nicely presented, with various international themes. Alternate weeks there is a street food party one night, and a beach party the week after. The beach party was so well done, with live music and BBQ food as well as all the usual accompaniments. The staff must have worked so hard to put it all together. Very impressed. Drinks: the wine wasn't the best, but we tried them all and settled on the least worse: white Chardonnay and a red Cabernet Sauvignon. We could have paid extra for premium wine but we managed ok. The main lounge/pool bar was excellent. Very obliging and efficient, nothing too much trouble. We tried a wide range of cocktails, as strong as you like. They made a mean Negroni. A self service iced water station got lots of use. The speciality restaurants were fine. No problem getting a table if you book during the day. The Italian was ok for a change, but cold with air con. Pineapple grill was fine; ask for a table on the balcony. It was nice to get served instead of buffet. We didn't try the steakhouse. The Outhouse up the hill serves ribs and chicken etc at lunchtime. Salad is served to you. It was ok; good for getting a bit of exercise up the hill. Beers and soft drinks available. The coffee shop had the hottest coffee I've ever had. No decaf apart from instant. They had nice pastries and cakes, plus yogurt parfait and fruit bowls. Snack bar near pool was very popular for burgers, chips, nachos, fish and chips etc. We only tried the nachos (already eating far too much) which were good. Pickleball courts were busy, never saw anyone on the tennis courts during the day. Gym is up a hill, good workout just getting there. Pool aerobics was well attended. Entertainment was usual stuff, with quizzes and karaoke, bands and singers. Roh-Roh made us laugh so much, especially when they were putting up the outdoor inflatable screen for Super Bowl. Sun loungers are plentiful. We didn't witness lots of chair hogs and clean beach towels were available to pick up throughout the day. There was a towel rail on the room balcony if you wanted to reuse your beach towels. Out and about: the hotel is secluded but we knew that. We walked to devil's bridge which was around a 3 mile round trip - far enough in that heat. We had a car, arranged for us by guest services £75 all in, inc insurance. We had the car for 24 hours. I think we saw all there was to see. We went to Shirley Heights, Nelson's dockyard, Jolly beach and Jolly harbour, Dickenson Bay and viewed the most amazing beaches just at the side of the roads we drove on. We used the hotel's taxi bus to St. John's. $50 US. 3 hours there was enough to have a good look round the cruise port and town, and have a drink. We loved our tropical waterside room but all of the rooms looked really well done. Garden rooms, beach view rooms and the rooms round the quiet turtle pool, we would gladly stay in any of them. All in all we had a great time, talked to lots of different people and simply relaxed into it. The staff are fantastic overall. We requested a complimentary courtesy room for our last day. No problem, but take your own shower gel - no toiletries in courtesy rooms. Towels are provided. Our only complaint on checking out was the noise of the leaf blower. Check out lady agreed. The gardens are beautifully maintained but that guy seemed to follow us wherever we chose to sit. Thank you Pineapple Beach.
• Bev094 (8/5): A nice hotel - First impressions are very good. A colonial style hotel with a wonderful beach and a Caribbean blue sea ( though it’s actually the Atlantic).  The standard rooms are adequate though in need of some refurbishment. Facilities include free kayaks and catamarans, two artificial turf tennis courts and six pickle all courts. There are plenty of sun beds but sadly no cushions which was disappointing. The food is fine though nothing special. Yogurts and bananas seemed in short supply most mornings. The staff are extremely helpful and special mentions for the manager, Donna, who went out of her way to assist me on two occasions, Barbara our cleaner and Ronette in the restaurant .Everyone seems to work hard for the guests enjoyment. The downside to this hotel is that there are no local towns or villages to walk to and there is no local bus service so you are pretty much stuck unless you take day trips, which we did.  The evening entertainment is awful, like something out of “Hi de Hi” for those of you with long memories. Coming from the UK, this was our most expensive two week holiday ever and I expected far, far more than this cheap rubbish. A beach barbecue was organised one evening and again the staff worked very hard but it was awful - long queues for food that kept running out and no bar waiter service at your table.  At the bar, there are no peanuts or crisps available which I thought was mean. The hotel is popular with both Americans and Canadians who come for around five days but unfortunately quite a few of them are loud  - they don’t talk to each other, they shout. They also seem to  have forgotten how to say “ please” and insist on playing music in the quiet zone of the beach despite complaints from other guests. Was it worth the £10k for the two of us, no. Would I return - no.
• tashapVermont (6/5): Nice stay but all inclusive isn’t for us - This was our first visit to an all inclusive. We discovered that AI is not our vibe but we enjoyed the PBC. Our arrival at PBC did not start well. The security guard could not find our name on the “list” despite showing her our confirmation. It took several minutes and finally we were allowed to enter. When we got to reception we had to “pre-check in” by using a QR code. We went through the drill and completed the form which was redundant because this information was already in our reservation record. When we stepped over to the front desk, the clerk asked if we had done the pre-check. There was no one else in the lobby and she watched us do it! There was no welcome, offer of a cool drink, hand towel. We were also informed if we did not return both key cards we would be charged. It was such an awkward check in. Definitely not the friendly welcome we expected. We were thrilled with our 2nd floor waterfront room. We had great views of fishing pelicans each day. Despite being recently renovated, the bathrooms were not 100% finished- not a big deal but don’t expect perfection. The wall hairdryer wasn’t hung; caulking on the fixtures and floor; missing trim boards. Our housekeeper, Jermie, was excellent. She greeted us each day with a bright smile and hello. Our room was spotless. Our impression with the food was a focus on quantity over quality. There were plenty of options but nothing that blew us away. There was a lot of seafood the night of the beach bbq and for the Mediterranean buffet. The waitstaff was fantastic- very attentive. Suggestions: Take a travel clothesline to hang up your wet clothes/swimsuits. There is a small drying rack on the deck but it is small. Make your dinner reservations when you arrive. I only knew about this from the Friends of PBC forum. We were allowed to make reservations for all nights but for the first 3 nights the only time slots were 9PM. You can only eat at the Pineapple Grille 2x during the week. The same applies to Pietros. Grab your beach towels in the morning -they tend to run out before beach chairs. If it is windy they do not put up umbrellas out of concern they will blow over. There was some sargassum -The ground crew tries to keep up with it. If you are looking for quiet, check out the “Quiet” pool area. It is peaceful and protected from the wind but seats fill up early. Do not miss the coffee shop! Highlight of our trip…the staff is super friendly and genuine. If you are an animal lover bring some treats. Ginger and her friends will be delighted! Bring a refillable water bottle. There are several water refill stations & the drinking water is really good. Bring an insulated cup for your mixed drinks. Adjust your expectations- no top shelf liquor (eg Gordons is the gin served), 1 local beer on tap. Check out the 1/2 day tour with Pink Panther-Anna and Joy were great and shared lots of history and information about Antigua. Tipping….always a conundrum! We tipped but did not see others tipping regularly.
• B4917PRdorism (10/5): Antigen hospitality at its best - Just came back from a 10 day holiday at the PBC. It was FANTASTIC!!! The staff are excellent always smiling and can’t do enough for you. The food is excellent considering it’s all inclusive. We went to the italian which was nice and also the pineapple grill which also was great. We also went to the steakhouse where you have to pay $50pp. The steak was so tasty we had a T-bone and you also get top notch cocktails which are better than you get in the mongoose bar. I did struggle however to find an alcoholic beverage that i really liked. The raspberry mojito was my favourite. But as a bourbon drinker i found it hard to like the bourbon they supplied. Shout out to Nicole. Ann Marie made the best omelette every morning. Tbh i can’t wait to go back, Maybe in a couple of years hopefully 🤞🏻
• drhudd78 (10/5): Top notch resort - We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this all inclusive resort. The staff were smiling, helpful, and made sure everything was terrific. The grounds and gardens were immaculately cared for. The beach was beautiful with comfortable chairs and drinks delivered right to the beach chairs. Food was stellar with menu changes nightly. Daily activity schedules with the Fun Squad led tours or played beach games. Shereef knew the history of the island and was energetic all day long. Katie Ann was a happy energetic server who was always quietly singing. The quiet but smiling Kianjah made top notch smoothies every morning for breakfast. On The weekend the staff set up the beach with lights, balloons, tables, and a feast and music for all the guests.
• Climber61048194685 (10/5): We Love PBC! - We just returned from an 8 day trip to PBC- the resort is wonderful! Our oceanfront room was recently renovated, and has stunning views of the bay. The resort is compact but never felt crowded. The dining options were great, and they offered plenty of activities and entertainment. The standout though, is the staff! Anika in reception, is a gem! She went out of her way to make our visit special! Tina,Annetta, and Renee, in the coffee shop are THE BEST!! They took such good care of us. Tieniqua at Topaz was so sweet, and we just loved her! Also Jarmie (sp?) in housekeeping made sure our room was perfect every day. We loved getting to know all of you- thank you for making our stay so special- we will be back!

Fun night entertainment but this is Not a party resort, which I liked. Food was good but not excellent. Service was good but not especially friendly. Staff seemed unhappy… Coffee shop always had yummy desserts and great service. Coffee staff was the friendliest. Wallace made the best lattes. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping staff was friendly. We were in a waterfront room. Most gorgeous view. Balcony was big and perfect for chilling out.
• A5369JJtheresaw (10/5): Great Get-Away - This was our first visit to Antigua, and it couldn’t have been better. The water was so warm, even in January. We were able to go sailing, snorkeling and kayaking right on the property. The rings were fun to lie in, and there were lots of beach chairs by the pool and on the beach. We stayed in the ocean front rooms, 10 feet from the water. The view was breathtaking, and the beds were quite comfortable. The food was excellent with different themed dinners each night. The on-sight restaurants require reservations, and we weren’t thrilled with the Italian restaurant, so we stuck with the buffet. However, the Outhouse😂 was awesome for its food and spectacular view. The staff was so accommodating. Wallace, in the cafe, always went above and beyond to serve us. Shareef, part of the fun squad, was a blast. She led us in water aerobics, games and walks to Devil’s Bridge. If you are looking for a laid back atmosphere, tons of beautiful views with plenty to do, Pineapple Beach Club is the place for you. 🌴☀️👍🏻

GREAT👍 - We have just got back from spending 14 nights at The Pineapple Beach Club, in our view, it was a fantastic holiday. I have never been to a hotel that is so spotlessly clean, with really friendly staff and plenty of things to entertain their guests. Rooms, comfy beds a good shower room, a safe box and coffee/ironing facility if needed. Again spotlessly clean, we had a great chambermaid (can’t remember her name, been along time in the air and trying to stay awake to get back to normality), we were in room 422, right by the tickled turtle pool, definitely a thumbs up from us. Food, well let’s put it this way ‘you’ll never starve’ I think you could eat non stop from morning to night, if you wanted too, try the delicious ice cream in the coffee shop, a ritual for us. The restaurants are good, though we gave the steakhouse a miss, a lot of money when you can get really lovely food at the other restaurants. The only downside ( which isn’t the hotels fault at all), is that you are a bit remote, no there is no where to walk to or visit unless you are prepared to pay a hefty taxi fee. Definitely would recommend and will definitely go again. And the beach is one of the best I have ever been too. The restaurants
• Adventurer769161 (10/5): Splendiferous - I could not find an appropriate word in English to describe our visit. Fortunately we were able to see much of the island as well, so I coined the word Antigalicious. However I have a hard time defining the word because I have to resort to English, and I still can’t find the words. Enough of that mumbo-jumbo. The accommodation was out of this world. The grounds and general ambience of the Pineapple Beach Club were absolutely spectacular and oh so relaxing. The staff were ALL so friendly and accommodating. They would go beyond the call of duty to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The entertainment was superb, never a dull moment. The food was delicious, dishes varied and so satisfying. I would recommend Antigua, and specifically Pineapple Beach Club to anyone looking for an outstanding, peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable vacation. Solange, Vincent, Annmarie, Rho Rho, Kimbolee, Ashley, Stacie, and so many others. Thank you so very much.
• delcooper (6/5): Great Hotel, but still a proper liberty........... - This is not going to be a long review, as I have written about the Pineapple Beach Club before so not got a lot more to say really. This was our forth visit here and we loved every minute, the hotel has had a nice update and is looking good. We had a Superior Garden View room which was huge, comfy, clean and very modern with a massive walk in shower. Food was mostly buffet style which suited us as we could all pick what we wanted and eat at our own speed, they do have the Italian restaurant and the posh one that you need trousers for but didn't visit either of them. The beach was lovely, as usual, great snorkelling and swimming. There was a bit of a bun fight for beds which is not normal but we were up early each day so didn't really matter . Staff are great, always smiling and happy and can't do enough to look after you. Activities all day long with Anne-Marie and her team and something on every night be it a band, DJ or something else. I did say we would not go back due to the made up 'resort tax' but this time I mean it and have booked to go else where in Antigua for 2026. I have had enough, having already paid £6300 for the holiday (with club world seats on BA) and then an extra £400 to check out is just not right. I was sorry to hear that Mike Barrett passed away, he was a decent chap but now Elite have taken over a few things have changed such as not being able to visit the Verandah Spa across the road either which is another reason we will not be back. All in all we have been to the Pineapple and Veranda 6 times but won't be back in the future, based on the cost and made up tax and well lets just say the noise level from certain guests from a certain part of the world that can end taking things too far and just don't now how to talk without shouting !! Chris and Julie if you read this, have fun next year. One Step beyond !!
• Vacationhugger (8/5): A Return trip for sure! - There are so many good things to say about Pineapple Beach Club! The people who are so personable and friendly to help with advice, room questions, food, anything. They were all wonderful. It's a beautiful location with lots to do for everyone. Daily activity board gives you a idea or not of what you can do during the day. Water sports - lots. Trails to walk.. take a walk to the Outhouse! You don't want to miss it. Pickle ball or tennis.. they have it covered. Food, all was better then we expected. This is small resort if you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet. This is not a party animal resort! Our room was a garden view (with a view of the ocean) in a quiet area. Beds were comfy, hot water was plentiful and water pressure It was great. You discover the rest.. when you get there!
• berd (8/5): Beautiful beach and beautiful room. - Pineapple Beach Club is a very nice property. The resort is a nice size - very quaint, not a mega resort. You can walk the resort easily. Upon arrival you are greeted with a rum punch and cold towel. Lobby area is very quaint and welcoming. Our accommodations were wonderful. We had the Waterfront rooms on the first floor and they were beautiful!!! The patio was wonderful and the view was spectacular. I believe they are newly renovated as they did not match the pictures on the website. The view was spectacular. We were steps away from the main pool, bar/entertainment area and beach. The food was good - not spectacular, but good offerings. Breakfast at the Topaz buffet offered omelet station, pancakes/french toast/waffle station, smoothies made to order, all your regular breakfast food plus some different options. Lunch snacks during the day could be at the buffet, Pelican grill or the Outhouse. Dinner could be at the buffet or two other sit down restaurants - Pineapple Grille or the Chef Pietro’s Italian restaurant. There was a steakhouse, but it was an extra $50/pp, so we did not try that one. We had six in our party, and four of the six ended up with some kind of intestinal sickness. We spoke to a few other travelers who also had the same exact symptoms. It took you out for a good 12-24 hours, vomiting, etc. We wondered if it was the food as they symptoms started right after eating a meal for everyone. The cafe was a great place to get coffees, teas and desserts. They ladies in the cafe were so welcoming and bubbly! The beach was beautiful! The floating "donuts" as we called them that the resort anchors just offshore were a wonderful place to relax and take in the scenery. That was my happy place. They had an entertainment staff with various kinds of entertainment each night. Sometimes just a band, or steel drums or DJ. There was also a karaoke night, and a staff talent show night. During the day we participated in a sip and paint, and the jewelry making and yoga. Water aerobics every morning at 10:30 in the main pool. We did not have a problem finding chairs for all of us. However, there are better spots than others, so if you're looking for a specific spot, like the front row overlooking the ocean, or at the infinity pool, you will have to rise early to get that spot. Beach towels were generally available, but there were a few days during our week where we could not find a clean beach towel, so keep yours from previous day just in case. There will be two clean beach towels in your room upon arrival. All three of our rooms for our group had a problem with the safe - in that we couldn't get it to work. We are fairly intelligent people, and all of us had the exact same issue with the safe. We called the front desk to ask for maintenance twice, and they never came. We even ran into a maintenance staff while walking through the hammock area and asked him if he could come and take a look at our safe. He told us that he could not do that, and that we need to contact the front desk. We told him we did that already - twice. He still would not come to look at our safe. Our bathroom had shampoo, bath gel and lotion, but no conditioner. I saw our housekeeper one morning and asked her. She handed me a bottle of conditioner. Our housekeeper was very nice and she did a wonderful job cleaning our room! Contrary to other comments regarding room cleaning being every other day, our room was cleaned every day except one. The two of us only had 1 each of bath towel, wash cloth and hand towel. So it was nice to have fresh towels and washcloths almost every day. Regarding drink or food service at your beach chair, we only had one server come one time the whole week when we were on the beach under a palapa. No one ever approached us at the infinity or main pool. This bothered some in our party, but I didn't mind walking to get my drink or food as it wasn't too far depending on where you sat. Public restrooms around the resort are nicely placed. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation, but the sicknesses made us a little leery of the food.
• jessrI612IO (10/5): Fantastic beach holiday - What a fantastic experience! We stayed at the Pineapple Beach for 11 days over Christmas and the New Year and it was wonderful. Beautiful grounds, our garden room was spacious and clean and the beach fantastic with water sports, snorkelling and more than enough Sun loungers. Mario and the other beach staff were all great. There was an excellent varied entertainment programme each day and evening. All of the staff were lovely, especially Ann Marie, Ro Ro and Ty who kept us all entertained. They went to so much trouble to ensure that both Christmas and the New Year celebrations were spectacular. We all thought that the New Years Eve party by the pool was perfect, good atmosphere and entertainment were all unforgettable . We enjoyed each of the restaurants and one of our enduring memories will be the view of the beach from the Topaz. We will definitely return to this unpretentious, yet professional resort. Thank you all for making our visit so special.
• 559staceyk (10/5): Favorite PBC things - This was our first trip to PBC and what an experience! We were there 12/27 through 1/2 and couldn’t have been more impressed!! The relaxed vibe, the extreme cleanliness, the incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, the fun entertainment and sense of community were exactly what we were looking for. Our most memorable night (besides New Year’s Eve of course…top notch!) was our private dinner in the gazebo overlooking the resort from above. Our personal server was Belinda and she was professional, accommodating, attentive and kind, an absolute sweetheart who made our evening perfect! Our favorite overall thing about PBC was the food!!! No words can explain our amazement with the quality, variety, taste, and availability, we miss the meals already!! Shout out to all the chefs who prepare it all behind the scenes! Special thanks to Renee for her smiles every morning at the coffee shop, to Nicole and Egbert for running a tight ship around Topaz, all the workers that tirelessly put together the New Year’s Eve bash, and the staff that always made us feel welcome, I wish I remembered more of their names! • MarisaWojcik (8/5): Perfect resort for a relaxing & restorative vacation, with some fun activities mixed in - Just returned from our vacation at Pineapple Beach Club. The staff is welcoming, attentive and professional. The resort location and amenities are terrific. They host many activities during the day and the evening events are very good (the high-energy event staff are great), but if you simply want to relax at one of the pools or at the beach, that can't be beaten either. Aside from the daily buffet (dinner menu themes change nightly), we ate at all three restaurants and we enjoyed each, but it should be noted that the portions at Pineapple Grill are small and if you order the T-Bone steak at Orchid you will be served something resembling a thin minute steak. Don't miss lunch at the Outhouse. We stayed in a Waterfront room on the second floor, recently renovated. Everything about it was great! Loved sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves and watching the pelicans dive for food. We highly recommend vacationing at this all-inclusive resort.

We have also stayed at St James Club & Curtain Bluff but return here - it’s relaxed and unpretentious. The beach is GLORIOUS. Snorkelling can be hit & miss. Really friendly staff, food isn’t going to win any awards, but there’s always plenty of options - you won’t go hungry! Rooms are spacious & beds are comfy! Pickle & tennis courts are in good condition. The gym could do with a little TLC! The weights section is good, but there’s always cardio machines out of order. We have been as a couple & with all parents & 16year old

The rooms are somewhat small, but very clean and comfortable. Each first floor beachside room has a front porch with a beautiful ocean views. Walk down the front steps of your porch and you are on the beach, which was gorgeous. Such a relaxing atmosphere! The food was just ok, but we really liked the coffee and ice cream shop, especially the frappes. Antiguans are such happy and friendly people. They went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one!

• 262maryellenh (10/5): a lovely time at Pineapple Beach Club - Just came back from Pineapple Beach Club where we spent 10 days. We loved the atmosphere of PBC, very chill! The resort is quiet with no loud thumping music but rather a very relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort. Even in the evenings, there was some simple entertainment, and it was leading in to Christmas so much of the themes were related to that. But the entertainment shut down around 11pm, fine with us since there were only a few times that we made it that far! The resort was recently renovated (some rooms) and everything was clearly given a fresh coat of paint and sprucing up. The resort was always clean and this included the washrooms by the pools, in the lobby etc. We found the service very good with only a few exceptions. We did voice our concerns and it was clear that our concerns were taken seriously. This is not a place where waiters come around and serve by the pools (maybe once a day) but we didn't mind this. There was always a bar close by and you honestly need to get up out of your chair once in a while and stretch your legs! We spent most of our time at the main pool but did chill at the Turtle Pool a couple of times. Very quiet there but there was still a bar. There was an Aquafitness class each day in the main pool which I took part in almost every day. We had an Oceanview room which meant an upward climb (path or stairs) to our rooms but we used that as a way of knowing we were getting our exercise (~65 years old). If you have mobility issues, these are not the rooms for you. Our room was quite large and simply but tastefully appointed. If we had a complaint, and we knew this before we arrived, is the lack of bottled water in the room/fridge. We found out part way through our time that for $70, you could get a (one-time?) allotment of soft drinks, one bottle each of red and white wine and water. We had brought water bottles down with us and we filled up from the ice water containers at the bars before we headed up to our room but it still was a bit of a nuisance. We had no issues drinking the water and my husband also drank water from the tap. There was never a time where we found a single tap, toilet or anything out of order. The water pressure in the shower could have been better but it wasn't terrible. We enjoyed the food. You could always find something at the buffet. We did go to the Outhouse for lunch (loved it!) and the Pineapple Grill and Chef Pietro a la cartes once each. Portion sizes at the a la cartes are smallish but that's not unusual. If we were hungry after, we dropped in at the buffet for an extra something. We did not try the Orchid. The staff at PBC were lovely. All very polite and friendly, too many to try and name them all! But thank you all for your welcoming spirit and great service. For us, the beach was short, as we like a good beach walk. However, the views were fantastic, as they were from our Oceanview room and likewise, from the Outhouse! If you can't make the climb to the Outhouse, ask for a cart to take you up. We were travelling from Canada, and overall, Antigua is an expensive destination. The PBC's price point is less than some of the well known chains in Antigua and it was a great option to get us there for our first time to Antigua. So, from this perspective, the value was decent. (We scoped out the pickle ball and tennis courts and gym but did not make use of them.)

They have 2 restaurants and both had great food, the Pineapple Grill was the best! We also chose to pay the upgrade and eat at the Orchid. The steak was flavored well and cooked perfectly. My husband had the lamb which was also cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Shareef was the best entertainment hostess and ensured we were having a great time. This resort was the perfect place to come to to relax and unwind. It was so peaceful. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation.

The food in all the restaurants, snack bar and coffee shop was fantastic with a varied choice. The staff are all amazing, so friendly with nothing ever being too much to ask. Anne-Marie, Tyrone and the lady with the socks (apologies, I have forgotten your name) kept us well and truly entertained! The bar staff were all fabulous and all made our holiday brilliant with the varied drinks served. Special thanks to Bash, Ashley, Arden and Sonia who never left our glasses empty! In short, the setting is idyllic, the accommodation is well maintained and clean but the staff make this place very special. We can’t wait to see you all next year!
• K218QSangelov (8/5): First resort experience - This was our very first experience at a resort. Rooms were very clean and well represented, room attendant was very friendly and accommodating. Beach was beautiful!!, a little short though, walking from end to end was about 10 minutes each way. Buffet experience lacked, breakfast was pretty much the same every morning, lunches and dinners had a bit of a theme to them, eg. Mexican/Caribean, don't get me wrong, I like spicy food but it sometimes was a little much. Beach BBQ night was fantastic with a good variety which included seafood. All the staff work very hard at giving you the best experience! Coffee bar was exceptional! A barrista making you your favorite bevy! Unfortunately, entertainment was weak, not too much going on, bingo, karaoke, music trivia, all occasionally, steel band came in one night, fantastic! The restaurant manager Egber, honestly did everything and more to see that you were enjoying yourself, he was always working to keep things running without a hitch! Overall, I'd give the resort a 4 star and the food a 3 star.

I will really miss you Tyrain, hope you get a huge raise. The food service team, they have an amazing team, but the talented, wonderful Kady Ann will truly be remembered, keep up the the great work you do. Guest services was on point and willing to help in any way possible Thank you Aijah and entire crew. The coffee shop crew were as sweet as can be, Renne and Clemantina I will miss seeing you both bright and early for my extra strong coffee to get my day started. Nochita at the gift shop was sweet and helpful as can be. To the bartender crew thank you for your friendly service, the rum punch, purple rain and mud slides with be a part of my drink list for sure going forward. The snack shop crew did a great job cooking and giving fast curtious service to everyone. To our tour guide and taxi driver Natasha thank you for be so friendly (first name basis) Last but not least the cleaning and grounds crew, you all do an amazing job of keeping the rooms, beach's and restaurants squeaky clean for our enjoyment. Never feels crowded and chairs are available all day. Charlene helped us coordinate a friend's wedding and helped with any issues that came up throughout our stay. Pineapple is lucky to have her. The activity group was upbeat and super fun too. I will warn that this resort is very laid back and quiet. So if you're looking for a party probably not the best place.

• nsburrows (10/5): Amazing Family holiday I will never forget - Amazing resort with lovely beach, nice food and relaxing pool atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and helpful, making this a 5 star experience. The evening entertainment was just right, you can stay and enjoy or take an early night ready for the next day. The views of the beach whilst eating breakfast and lunch at the Topaz Restaurant were fantastic. Food was nice, different theme every night and easy to book the speciality restaurants for a change. Don’t understand any negative comments, every hotel and resort in the world could be improved but this is as close to perfect for a complete experience as you can get.
• W7186DBcindyr (4/5): Don’t go!!! - This was my first all inclusive resort. The food was just so so and at times awful. No one ever walked around the pool to ask if you wanted a drink and the drinks were very weak. The room was ok except for the mold in the shower. There is absolutely nothing to do except for the costly excursions. The beach is very small and every morning just when everyone was eating, they sorta cleaned the beach. A very loud tractor would come right next to the restaurant and chug away the entire time. The staff was wonderful but there is a lot of tipping to do so bring cash!!! A lot of cash…
• D3108WUpaulg (10/5): 21 and Counting - Yes we have been to PBC 21 times. Why you might ask when there are other resorts to choose from. Well we have been to other resorts in Antigua and on other Caribbean islands and none come close to PBC. The setting on Long Bay beach is spectacular, the accommodation excellent and the food this year in particular was wonderful. But the thing that truly makes PBC stand out is the staff. Of course we know many from previous years but the new staff also were so good. Ann-Marie leads the entertainment so well but despite her best efforts could not stop Graham and me entering the Karaoke! Oh dear but such fun. Pain Killer cocktails were expertly served by Sonia, Suzette, Ashley, Bashi and Maritza with all bar staff easily coping with our unreasonable demands. I still miss the daily omelette prepared by Joanne and Regina’s pasta. Trish frightened us with her stare (ha ha) and service in the Topaz was excellent for which I would like to especially thank Judith, Joyce, Arleen, Teniqua and Kai. Kurtrece made sure I behaved myself. There are many daily activities but note that Ann-Marie will not let you win if she is participating. Sailing was excellent when the wind was right and I would like to thank the sailing boys Bobby, Super Mario and Keith II. In summary please don’t go as we want PBC and its wonderful staff to ourselves next year.
• grahamd556 (10/5): Amazing 3rd Stay at PBC! - We have just returned from Pineapple Beach having had the most fantastic holiday. Everything from start to finish was perfect. We had the most amazing room which was a partial ocean view which had a large balcony and a massive sofa to sit on so you could enjoy a rum punch watching the sun set. The daily entertainment is perfect for this resort starting with Aqua Gym which my wife enjoyed every day. Other activities continue throughout the day with cooking demos and crazy coconut skittles and beach volleyball etc..Evenings there would be a couple of bands, a disco and a fantastic white party on the beach while we were there for 2 weeks. Head of entertainment, Anne Marie, does a fantastic job and we really thank her for making our holiday fun. Tyrone also does a good fun Aqua fit session so be sure not to miss it! The food is amazing, lots to choose from with different restaurant options. Jo-Anne makes the best omelettes and it’s a joy to see her smiling face each morning! Also a big thanks to Kurtrece, Kai(nickname half lemon) Arlene at the outhouse, Kady -Anne for her amazing dancing and the girls in the photos with us in the restaurant..sorry..useless with names! Apologies if I left anyone out but you are all fantastic! There is also a varied amount of cocktails to choose from the 3 bars in the resort tended by the awesome bar staff. You never have to wait long for a drink however busy it is. Thank you to Ashley, Sonia, Suzette and Arden. You all make fantastic Old Fashion Rum Punches!🤪🫢 Also a big thank you to Kevin and Egbert. In summary, you cannot fault anything about this resort. A stunning location with great food and staff…we’ll be back!😮🫣🤣😎

• julialQ8403BC (10/5): Relaxation in paradise - Me and my husband have just got back from having 14 days here at pineapple beach which we found out it was a lovely place staff were very friendly and helpful meals were lovely and hot and a good choice we had a ocean view room which was spotlessly clean and lovely views over the sea it was also good sitting in the resturant watching the pelicans catching fish entertainment was good especially the carnival night we recommend going on the pink panther tour and also stingray city which my husband enjoyed we will definitely be returning again
• W6792ELwendyb (10/5): Paradise as always - Just back from our 4th stay at PBC and already booked for April! The setting is stunning, the staff are so happy and friendly and there is a wide choice of food to cater for all tastes. We stayed in a garden view this time, lovely big room which was cleaned daily, floor had a couple of rough bits sticking up which caught my foot a couple of times but no real big issue - just wore in flip flops! Entertainment staff are very enthusiastic and friendly and encourage you to get involved but not in a pushy way so you can take it or leave it. We loved daily Aqua Fit as well as the evening entertainment - our favourites were the Trio Band, karaoke and the steel drum band. Only 2 things we remarked upon which we'd have liked: Would be nice to have a glass of wine up at the Outhouse as they only serve beer ( which I don't drink). On a couple of occasions guests brought their own music to the main pool and the infinity pool which we thought was a bit off as I don't want to listen to your rap while I'm relaxing thanks. But you're never going to have a 100% perfect holiday and these 2 points are more than manageable for 2 weeks in paradise! 🏖🍍🥂 Thank you once again PBC for a fabulous time ❤️

Food is resort food with a little extra. What makes it great are the staff! JoAnn the morning griddle with a smile that is sunshine! She will make the best poached eggs and omelets- her smile lights a room! She went above and beyond! Tessa at the pineapple grill Waitress Kutrice at Peitros restaurant amazing!!! Suzette bartender near Topaz amazing mixer! Nicole every morning greeter at Topaz. Server Yolonda at Topaz went out of her way for daily espresso and hot sauce at Topaz for breakfast, top notch!!! Dalta Pineapple host Marva waitress at the Pineapple Super Mario taking us for Hobie rides and we saw the sea turtles 🐢. Super Mario the best in Hobie experience! G-Man for greeting us daily!!! Orchid- amazing service. We enjoyed the service,limoncello, passion fruit Prosecco, the extras and atmosphere. Next time we will go more than once! Property is clean and well maintained. Please tip the staff!

This resort has a way of making you feel instantly relaxed, welcomed, and at home, and that’s exactly why I came back! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with genuine warmth. The staff don’t just recognize you; they remember you. Shout out to Ronette and Monet!!!! Their kindness and consistency are a huge part of what makes Pineapple Beach Club feel like a true getaway. Whether it’s the bartenders;Shout out to Bashenta(sp?) sorry darling you are so spectacular !!!!! Arden absolutely a gem!! And Suzette who always have a smile. The restaurant staff (Maarva!!)who take such good care of you, or the team around the resort who are always ready with a wave, the atmosphere is always friendly and easygoing. The beach is what I dream about when I’m not there: soft sand, calm turquoise water, and plenty of space to unwind. In March, everything felt bright, lively, and full of energy. Coming back in November, it was just as beautiful but with a slightly more peaceful vibe, almost like the resort was giving me a second chance to truly slow down. The food, the views, the Caribbean breeze—everything feels simple, honest, and effortless in the best way. It’s not just a vacation; it’s a place that resets you. • jennifersI8630WY (6/5): Enjoyed it overall but missed the mark. - My wife and I recently spent a week at PBC and overall, it was good. We stayed in the Terrace area & had no problem with it. Our routine was to spend the day around the beach area & work our way back to the quiet pool later in the day. We knew in advance the room would be dated, fridges wouldn't be stocked and the room wouldn't be cleaned daily. We're low maintenance so no big deal. We knew in advance that the beer was a local brew and there wasn't any top shelf liquor. That was a bigger deal than I thought it would be as we didn't like the beer after 2 of them and really missed a nice cocktail here and there. Wine was standard AI wine. The beach was nicer than I imagined which was a bonus. I ended up having a foot massage by a local fella and was very disappointed with that. Being a weekend warrior marathon runner, I'm familiar with treatments & thought I would give this guy a try. I paid for the half hour treatment that was supposed to be the quiet one and without him speaking. He would shut up and I tried!! He kept on giving me his thoughts (mostly like Dr Oz myths) on how to improve my health. I kept on telling him I wanted certain things done but he kept on doing what he wanted to do as well. I hear a lot of people really like this guy and heard from some that 'he's so smart', but I disagree and it was a lousy treatment. The other guy on the beach was, I believe, Marvin who sells excursions. 3 days in a row he walked by and asked if my daughter and I wanted to book a trip. I was with my wife. The first day it was kinda cute but goofy, the second day it had gotten stale and a bit annoying but the third day it was rude. Why do they let this goof on the property? Not sure how far back from the shore he can go but I was in the first row in front of the beach rooms when he walked up to us sitting in loungers. The food was meh and on the lower end of my expectations. Chef Pietro's Italian restaurant was really noisy and hot - plus the fish was way overcooked. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Pineapple Grill was decent and we enjoyed that. The buffet by AI standards was not very good. Was really grossed out by the birds that fly around the tables. It's open air and the birds have easy access, but I've been to many, many other resorts that take some measure to deter the birds from coming in. I saw them poop on chairs, tables and also steal food off of plates. I'm not a clean freak but that was gross & I can't believe it's not a common complaint. The burger shack by the pool was just ok as expected. We do a lot of homemade BBQ and thought the Outhouse was just ok too - great view. We did the White Party on the lawn and it was just the buffet food. They had a guy playing sax and it was way too loud - we couldn't talk over it and we weren't even that close to the speaker. It wasn't well lit either, so tough to see what was on the plate. Lots of mosquitos too. The evening entertainment is poor. We aren't partiers but were very surprised how bad it was. Not to mention, we like our sports - and even though they have a 'sports bar', it closes at 5. Overall, it's a nice resort but really misses the mark.
• ashleigho728 (8/5): So close to being perfect... - We stayed at the pineapple beach club at the end of October/beginning of November for 10 days just after the resort had reopened. The resort was very clean and the majority of the staff were also friendly. However with all hotels/ resorts there are many pros and cons which contributed to the score we gave. The resort: - As previously mentioned the resort itself was very clean and you would often see members of staff cleaning the public toilets or around the resort. - The resort itself is very spacious, however it is specified that it is not very accessible for people with mobility issues and this is very true as there is a lot of stairs and steep hills around the resort so be aware of this when booking if you have issues with mobility. - There are three pools and we spent most of our time at the main pool but had visited the other pools. The turtle pool is the designated quiet pool and there is an infinity pool by the beach with the amazing view of the beach and the sound of the waves. We felt that when sitting around the main pool there needed to be some sort of atmosphere such as music. When aqua aerobics was on music would be on sometimes and would be taken away after it had finished or at times there was no music on even with aqua aerobics. - The WIFI at the resort is very intermittent and it would often take a long time to load things or the WIFI would drop out all together for long periods of time. This seems petty but as one member of our party was a university student trying to access their work it made it hard at times. - The beach is very beautiful and is very nice to walk down to the end where there are some beach vendors. There is security on the beach for the resort but there are still people offering trips or souvenirs. - Make sure to bring mosquito repellent as the resort has a lot, obviously this is not a resort issue but we had one member of the party who wore a strong mosquito repellent but ended up with 40+ bites by the end of the holiday. We did request for the rooms to be sprayed but was unsure if this happened due to being bit several times. - There was often entertainment on throughout the day around the bar lounge ranging from bingo to quizzes to tie dye. We took part in the bingo and quizzes which was a lot of fun. One small moan is that the sports quiz was mostly American sports questions which made it hard for us brits! The rooms: - Some rooms have recently undergone refurbishments and some are still undergoing refurbishments such as the rooms around the main pool. However some rooms are very outdated and can do with work being done to them. We stayed in block 7 and the rooms here needed work, in one room the towel holder fell off the wall, the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall and in general the rooms looked very old and outdated. In one room the shower stopped working but this was rectified very quickly. - In the rooms they would often take away towels even if they were clean and not used and they were not replaced. We found this very confusing as we have stayed in many hotels and this has never happened. We would often request for towels multiple times and it would take at least 5 attempts to get towels delivered. - The bedding in the rooms were not also changed as often as claimed. For our party we found that bedding was changed on day 9 out of 10 as our beds had markings on the duvets or sheets which made it obvious it had not been changed. This also confused us as well as you pay for a cleaning fee for housekeeping when its every other day but seemed that you were not getting what you paid for. Food: - The snack bar around the pools were good and the food was always very hot. There is plenty of options but we wished that the pizzas would be done throughout the day and not just at night. - The buffet was okay, sometimes it would take a long time to be sat down and be given our drinks even when the resort was not busy. The food was always covered up which was nice. - The grill was a hit or miss experience, we ate there once and the food took a long time to come out and when it did it was cold and overcooked. However other members of our party ate at the grill again a few days after and had a completely different experience the food was piping hot and had a completely different presentation. - We all ate at the orchid twice, the first time was due to the Italian being shut and moved here free of charge and the second time was for an apology for something that happened during the trip. During the first trip the service was excellent however food was only lukewarm during the second visit the food was excellent very hot and service was very good and attentive. - The outhouse at the top of the resort does great barbecue food and you can get a golf cart up to the top and look at the stunning views. - If you are a vegetarian/vegan you may struggle with this as one member of our party was a vegetarian and often found that in the specialty restaurants there was not vegetarian options. Extras: - A shout out to Yolanda, Egbert and Jamal as we had a dinner on the beach go wrong. Yolanda provided excellent service throughout and Egbert and Jamal were able to make a night that was supposed to be special and was going wrong brilliant with their sense of humour around the situation. When some members of our party got engaged on a different night Jamal went and got a bottle of champagne for the happy couple straight away so they could celebrate. - We did the pink panther tour which we had done nearly 8 years ago as we wanted to see how the island had changed. The tour had changed drastically and was not as good as the first time as it felt like a big advertisement for elite island resorts instead of showing off Antigua and having fun the whole time as we did the first time. Overall the holiday was an enjoyable time to celebrate a 60th birthday, an engagement and just to have time away from the usual busy hustle and bustle of everyday life. If the hotel got the small things right such as the rooms, atmosphere and food it can easily be a 5 star hotel, it was the small things that disappointed us.
• evieo831 (6/5): Nice hotel but could be better - We visited this hotel for 10 days for my mums birthday a week after reopening. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience but it definitely wasn’t the best place we have visited and felt this hotel really was not ready to be taking on more and more guests as time went on. The views are lovely from this hotel. Buffet is by the beach so you are guaranteed a great view. The best place to eat is by far the outhouse at the top of the hotel. Staff there were very attentive and the food was delicious. If you are vegan or vegetarian, as I am, you’ll find the food choices in the restaurants to be limited. Myself and my partner had to ensure any restaurants booked would have a vegetarian choice before we booked as the food options frequently changed and would find dishes available were mostly fish or meat. The buffet was a disappointment. We all loved that food remained covered or had to be served for you. However, overall service is very slow and we would often be sat waiting quite a while just for a glass of water. The main drinks bar was also very quick and attentive. Myself and my partner were often satisfied by the variety of drinks available. A shout out to Ashley by the bar too for this very reason as well as the fact she looked after us after suffering bad sun burns. Room service seemed poor with towels either just hung up dirty our entire stay or simply taken away and not replaced with clean towels. Bedding was also changed day 9 of 10 meaning we were sleeping in dirty sheets most nights. Any cups or plates in our rooms used were just taken outside our room and left for days without being touched or moved. Having said all this, management can not be faulted. We had a few issues with our stay that needed to be addressed and found them to listen and take action quickly. My last point is quite picky. However, we felt during our stay that the hotel needed to be a lot more lively. Evening entertainment was poor and repetitive after 7 days. There was no music around the main pool to enjoy other than when the aquagym was taking place. Music would then be taken away and we would be left with the sound of construction work. Since there is a dedicated quiet pool and also an infinity pool with the sound of the waves from the beach nearby, we found it did not make sense for the main pool to be so quiet. Overall, Pineapple Beach Club really isn’t a bad place to stay but some improvements here and there would really make this part of an enjoyable holiday.

A fantastic beach, great facilities, fun activities and wonderful staff. As many have said before, the staff really make the trip go from special to extra special. A particular shout out to Ann-Marie, Jo-Ann and Mario - they all made our trip one to remember for a long time. Our group our life long returnees (as are many others!).
• Jimlanman (2/5): Don't waste money - Poor, poor, poor. I wanted to go here over Thanksgiving week. There was a price, I waited a few days, they jacked up their prices by $400 in just a few days. It was pricey but I wanted to look at reviews and consider the money for just a few days. The reviews were OK, a bit mixed, but OK. It was already expensive - now they want to squeeze another $400 out of me because I spent some time looking at the deal? Forget it - go elsewhere without bait and switch!

Finally have a moment to drop a line on our stay at the Resort from June 1 to June 10 of this year. It was fabulous, the hotel &amenities were very good, the food was very good with many choices to pick from. As for the Staff, they are beyond excellent. The following people should be commended for their above excellent courtesy & service . They are Ronnett, I cant say enough about Ronnett her kindness & friendship are beyond any words that we can express, Supervisor Nicole & Ishena extremely kind at breakfast, Jo-Ann who makes fantastic Omelets, Annetta kept my caffine going in the evening, Supervisor Monetta very accommodating & helpful. Kevonte keep the food flowing & hot. Tricia very courtesy & entertaining. Anderson a super nice young fellow who is always there to help. Lastly, Denie he is the beach ambassador super nice young fellow. because of these fine people, they are the reason that my wife and friends will be back staying at the Pineapple Beach Club. They are the true backbone of your Resort. I do hope that they all return after your renovations are complete. Please do not hesitate to contact me if needed.
• mgflash76 (8/5): Good - Could be Great. - 2 weeks in July, fantastic resort, friendly staff, awesome food, so why the 4 stars and not 5? Let me explain… When I go on holiday, I become a beach dweller, I want to switch-off, no targets, no appointments, no schedules. A bit of diving, Sun, Sea & Sand (and few drinks). I don’t need the likes of “G-Man” and his band of merry men, to hassle me for money, every single day for 2 weeks! Explained to him on day-one (they go for pale-skinned tourists, fresh out of the plane), “Look, I know what your are selling, should I wish to purchase something from you, I’ll come to you, not you to me!” Then he started telling us, how the “official” shop on the resort, would send money to Miami, if we were to buy a tour from him, the money would stay in Antigua; Sure, I can symphatise with that, but as a Sales Strategy? Wrong… Just wrong. We obviously, ended up doing a couple of tours out of the resort (not with him). Went SCUBA Diving (not with him), went around the island (not with him). The last couple of days, he had the guts to challenge my “Antiguan experience” - “What are you telling your friends when you go home? That you spent 2 weeks on a beach?” (we didn’t) but even if we did, what’s it to you, what’s your problem?! Have YOU paid for my holiday?! The hotel it’s All-inclusive, so food is aplenty, he gets guests that he befriends to go and get him burgers and drinks, everyday. No. 9k all-inclusive, does not includes for your lunch my friend. Stay clear of this man, he’s a nuisance and he should be removed from the beach, but I have a funny feeling, the hotel it’s in a cut from the tours he sells. That’s why 4 Stars, and not 5, and that is also why I wouldn’t go back.

Also, we tried making a reservation at a restaurant, which can only be done at the hotel, but there were no reservations available the entire time we were there. Gift shop is full of random items for purchase that honestly have nothing to do with the island of Antigua. Lastly, I moved my sister’s bag one morning as we were leaving and a cockroach about an inch and a half long ran out from underneath it. Luckily, a staff member was nearby and killed it…then asked me for my shoe to flick it out of the room. Happy 40th to me though. I’ll never forget this.

• 1111Hunter (4/5): 30th Anniversary Trip - We booked in March for our upcoming thirtieth wedding anniversary on July 8. I wanted a small hotel with good snorkeling possibilities right off the beach. I started getting very excited and wanted to find out everything I could about the resort. Tripadvisor and YouTube were my places to scout. I found: Monday - Managers Cocktail Party Tuesday - Karaoke Wednesday - Garden Dinner / White Party Thursday - Mexican Night Friday - Beach Buffett / Mini Carnival Saturday - DJ I was most looking forward to the Garden Dinner and Beach Buffett Mini Carnival. We set off on July 5 at 4:00 AM after our flights with layovers we arrived at 6:20 PM. Our traveling day from Hell was finally over. We checked in our room set off to find something to eat and head off to bed. I thought it was strange to be in a hotel room with no windows. You heard me right NO WINDOWs - not in the room or bathroom, none. We were only located 10 steps from the quiet pool with the Tickled Turtle Bar. OK we take the good with the bad. When we got up the next morning headed to the Beach to claim a spot and find some breakfast. The Topaz Restaurant had a nice selection of foods, hot and tasty. for even the pickiest eater. The problem was the open-air restaurant was like eating in a bird sanctuary. Birds flying every which way trying to steal your food and let's not forget the "droppings" everywhere. We headed to the beach to check out the snorkeling, The beach is beautiful with gorgeous blue water. It felt like I stepped into a picture. While snorkeling I saw a lot of beautiful fish including trunk, parrot, and tangs while finding most of the coral to be bleached and dying. Water clarity was not good until you reached the reef that is just inside the open end of the bay. The next morning, I went to make reservations and found out that most of the nightly entertainment had been reduced to soundtracks with a singer. No Beach Buffett, no Mini Carnival, no steel drum bands. When I asked the reason, I was told "This is our off season and very low capacity of guests." I also then asked the hours and days of the Tickled Turtle Bar that was near to our room and again was told it is closed during the off season. To make this long story short and try to focus on the positives: We loved the Cafe' 1761 Coffee Shop and couldn't get enough of the Outhouse Restaurant up on the hill. Also booked an outing with Mr. G & Marvin to Stingray City I LOVED THAT! Every time I walked past the turtle enclosure, I took the time to stop and chat with the little guys and wish them a good day.

Water was always rough and snorkeling off the beach had limited visibility due to the waves. Sargassum was bad but the property cleaned the beach every morning. We stayed the week before the property was closing for renovations. So restaurant had limited food and wine selection due to the closing which was disappointing. They ran out of pina coladas, and other drinks. We did enjoy ourselves but wished the hotel would have had better accommodations. We paid for a beach front room and it was not what I would consider beach front however the room was extra large with a large bathroom. Room service only comes every other day.

We went on the stingray excursion, and it was such a neat experience. The food was very tasty. The staff are so welcoming and nice. I cant say enough great things about this resort. We will definitely be coming back.
• Rachel (6/5): - Property welll maintained- entertainment was not good. Drinks were awful - 1 beer served which we all hated - rum was ok if that’s what you drink - everything else had to be watered down. This is only for a laid back vacation.
• Sabrina (10/5): - Overall the stay was good. But the food was. Unfortunately, we were there for our honeymoon and didn't get any recognition for it, Even after sending the hotel staff a message saying we were there to celebrate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the booking dinner reservations 48 hours in advance and I believe it is only two to three specialty. And the lack of nightly. But we had an amazing stay and I would definitely stay again.

• edwardwS4326ZI (8/5): Could do better - Just got back from 2 weeks at the pineapple resort .while we were there we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and my birthday we chose the pineapple after reading all of the reviews ie friendly staff always smiling nothing too much trouble I don't know what hotel those people stayed in but it wasn't mine . It felt we must have been the wrong nationality as the mighty dollar seems to rule here . We had a lovely beach front room but halfway through the first week we found we found we had a lodger living in our closet a venimous centipede which was quickly dispatched by Jacob our hero security guard .it. might be the fact the hotel will soon be closing for an update that caused some of the staff to be un responsive and less than welcoming . Food was repetitive but good always found something we liked .Overall we had a good time but looking at the new prices for the end of this year we will not be returning as we feel the hotel although as good as it is does not justify the cost
• stuartb314 (10/5): Great resort, great staff, great food - sting in the tail ! - This was our second visit to Pineapple Beach, having been there some 12 years ago. It's a pretty, well tended beach front resort and virtually all rooms have an ocean view. When we went there were a sufficient number of guests to make it sociable but never crowded, no queues for the pool, sunbeds, bar, restaurants, etc. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was of a very high standard throughout, mainly buffet service with a plentiful selection of items (I particularly enjoyed the pork loin, roast turkey and rump steak). We would definitely come back here again - it's a good, clean venue with airy and spacious rooms but without the 5 star price tag, However, do remember the "tourist tax" as you might get an unpleasant surprise at the end of your trip when you check out. I'd naively assumed that this had been included in the overall price of the holiday but I was wrong. At Pineapple Beach it works out at $18 per person per night so for two of us for 10 nights we ended up forking out $360 (£246) when we went to settle up. I don't know what would happen if you'd spent all your holiday money and didn't have a credit/debit card so please don't get caught out !
• Shakira (10/5): - If you’re looking for a party/turn up resort.. THIS ISNT IT. This resort is very very quiet, calm, and chill. The crowd is more on the older side. The food at the snack bar was really really good! I wasnt able to get any dinner reservations but that was ok! Rooms were clean and simple, nothing extravagant. Drinks were good! Resort had so many pools that i dont remember reading about LOL. Overall definitely a nice resort and I would come again!!
• jameson8765 (10/5): most relaxing holiday - when ever i book a holiday i always read the reviews, but have never written one until now! we stayed in june for 11 nights, we wish we could of stayed longer, all the staff were friendly. The restaurants were good the buffet restaurant had lots of choice and they varied the menu,the roast meats were good. The coffee shop was a great addition it opens at 6.30am with a varied drinks menu, and a selection of cakes ,sandwiches and fresh fruit pots.the grounds were pristine, our room was beach front which was even better than we could of imagined. The beach was clean lovely white sand clear warm waters, like previous reviews sun beds werent an issue. weve stayed at a few carribean hotels we enjoyed our stay here and we would like to return because it was small friendly, clean, and very relaxing due to the thought that has been put into the guests overall stay with the nightly entertainment different pool areas seating areas coffee shop. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay and lasting memories.
• Morgan (10/5): - The property was very clean and the food was amazing. Even the buffet was better than other all inclusives I’ve been to. The beach was very clear and clean. The people were very nice as well. But if this is your first time visiting the island, please be aware it is on the opposite side. So any excursions, Shirley heights, etc are all 30-45 mins away. That’s the only downside to this resort but everything was exceptional!
• Joe123Chester (8/5): There is a reason why people keep coming back ….. - Returned after 13 years and many changes in ownership. Overall. a great step forward. Yes, there are things that need improving, overall comfortable and relaxing for this price point. Great beach. Food is ok but not gourmet, as excepted. (You will not go hungry). Management is very responsive. Help can be inconsistent…some great, some as others have stated not so… This is the place where either you like it and keep coming back ( as many during our stay have) or are disappointed as you expected something else. Sorry but this is not Sandals… party place… If you are looking to relax …. good choice !
• Donna Upshaw (10/5): - We loved the property. We had a party of 10. We made daily use of the Pickleball courts - though it was a “hike” to get to the courts and to the gym. Staff were great. The food at the buffet and Pineapple Grille were great. Beach was really nice and the Beach Party dinner on Friday nite was awesome. Lunch at the “Outhouse” was really good. Lots of activities during the day. Can do as much or as little as you want. Bars were convenient. We will definitely be going back.

• P5675LJtonyd (10/5): Thank you everyone at Pineapple Beach for a great holiday. - Check in was via a QR code which was a bit confusing and it was slightly disappointing our room was not ready until a couple of hours after we arrived, but once we were in our room we were instantly on holiday. Our room was everything we wanted it to be. It was spacious, air conditioned, and literally steps from the beach. At night we sat on our porch with drinks in hand listening to the sea. There was plenty of storage space, the bed was big and very comfortable and the pillows were just right. The shower was superb. Room towels were renewed every other day and bottled water was provided. The only suggestion we have would be to change the toilet door to a solid door in lieu of a louvred one to provide more privacy. The majority, say 95%, of the resort staff were extremely friendly, polite, helpful and great fun and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. A few staff members were a bit grumpy, but that's always going to be the case. The resort is exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Staff work hard to keep things at a high standard. The beach was beautiful and the sea was crystal clear and there wasn't any sargassum. There are three pools and they are all very well looked after. There was no shortage of sunbeds on the beach or at the pools and there were towels available at the various storage points. We booked reservations at the Pineapple Grill and at Chef Pietro's but much preferred the Topaz buffet where the choices were varied and plentiful. The food was never piping hot (including at the a la carte restaurants), but that was partly due to guests not closing the lids on the food containers. The nightly entertainment was good fun and enjoyable with great effort made by staff to provide a variety of different things. We went on two trips, a private island tour and to the Shirley Heights sunset party, both were very reasonably priced, interesting and provided good experiences.
