Guest Reviews

- Michelle (10/5): We enjoyed our stay. The facility was clean and comfortable. The food and beverages were perfect. The staff are amazing - Liked the property, liked the property, liked the comfort, liked the staff, liked the food, coffee, wine and snacks My only issue was the soft bed but that’s my own preference, not the facility’s fault
- Lauren (8/5): Beautiful!!!!! -
- Christopher (10/5): Perfect little hotel near the beach - The Channel Road was absolutely brilliant from the moment we arrived. We were given a lovely warm welcome, with drinks available while the check-in process was completed. The room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with lots of thoughtful touches (the fresh cookies were amazing). The drinks and snacks provided early evening and outstanding fresh breakfast were highlights too. Free parking on-site was a great bonus, especially when you consider the location just a couple of minutes' walk from the beach! We were sad to only be staying one night, and would love to go back. Absolutely nothing - it would be hard to improve!

- Lindsey (10/5): -
- Molly (9/5): - Outstanding breakfast. Free parking. Good location.
- Diane (6/5): Some pros including location, bed comfort, but overall underwhelming, and not worth the money. - Location is very nice, and bed was quite comfortable. The attiude of the people working there was noticeably cold and seemingly annoyed. I honestly didn't know quite what to make of it. I also do not understand all the rave reviews for breakfast, clearly I chose an unlucky day. Breakfast was lackluster and cold: hard boiled eggs, granola, some fruit, hard bagels - no hot or homemade food.
And the place in general, my room in particular, could use some refurbishing, (missing light by the bed, stains above the toilet.)
- Alex (10/5): Excellent location and quality. - Fantastic location, free parking, great breakfast, large and comfy room and welcoming staff. Nothing.
- Izabela (10/5): - Great hosts, amazing food and a happy hour with wine and cheese love that!
- jeff (10/5): -

- Doriott (10/5): I went with my best friend and we loved every second, - The location was amazing. The food couldn't have been better. I wish I could even hire the staff. So helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again. If they could rebuild the Palisades and Santa Monica after the fires.
- Yaroslav (10/5): It's a great boutique hotel in a great location with free parking and breakfast plus happy hour - The hotel is a small boutique style place located in 7 min drive from Santa Monica pier. While it is little pricy, it is actually the best value for money, for it has a) free parking and b) breakfast included c) happy hour :)
Parking is free and at the hotel property - enough said! For those who know how much and how difficult to find is parking in LA, specially in Santa Monica - it's more than enough!
Breakfast - it was the best breakfast in all my two week tour of the West Coast. It's not your scrambled eggs from the can that every hotel has, those omelets were exceptionally tasty!
Happy hour - if you're happy enough to get back to this hotel by 4PM (or about that time, I just don't remember the exact timing now) - you'll be even more happy to find that they provide tons of great snacks (cheese!), beer and wine free of charge. It's a great nosh before (or even instead!) of your dinner. Nothing I didn't like. I might've asked to start hot breakfast a little earlier, because one of the chefs began her day at 7, while the other later, but it's too small of a thing to complain about
- David (9/5): -
- Helena (10/5): Perfect and cosy - All the staff we met were lovely. It was very comfortable and we felt very at home Nothing
- Olga (10/5): I am extremely grateful to the hotel staff who welcomed me, arranged an early check-in, and were incredibly kind and att -

- Adam (8/5): Clean, and cosy, near the beach and the canyon. - Nice little b&b down by the beach. Didn't try the breakfast as there is a great--and well-known--coffee stand in the lot next door. Easy walk to the beach (1min) or into Rustic Canyon (1min aslo). The bed was comfy, the room was ok, the only knock was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. I would say it was a but pricey for what it was, but this is a pricey area. As noted, the shower wasn't great. Was also a bit loud, being street side, but we were there during a festive time.

Rien
- Casey (6/5): Quaint and clean but Room 15 had problems - Very quaint and clean. Breakfast was very good. Room 15 does not have thermostat-controlled heating. We had to switch the gas fireplace on and off to try to hit the right comfort level. The staff also provided a portable electric heater at our request. In addition, the room phone did not work. This meant that when we needed to ask the front desk a question about the coffee maker in the early morning, we had to get fully dressed and walk to the desk instead of simply calling on the phone. And it turned out that the coffee maker was also nonfunctional.

- Joseph93436 (10/5): Charming Bed and Breakfast! - We were delighted to have stayed at this bed and breakfast. Everything about this gem was wonderful! Sasha and Cory go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and are comfortable. Sasha made the most delicious breakfast every morning and Cory was just remarkable. One night, after arriving late from the theater, we were surprised with a cheese and cracker plate awaiting us so we wouldn’t go to bed hungry! You are blessed to have Cory and Sasha here. We will be back next month for more!
- John (9/5): A very relaxing stay in a beautiful home - A very comfortable home with an amazing breakfast. I bought the cookery book which is full of great recipes Nothing
- Matthias (9/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): I’m so happy I chose this property and wish I could have stayed longer. We’ll be back. The service was lovely - The decor and age of the property, the location Sheets were a little stiff and a fan in the room would have been nice
- Middleoftheroad5 (10/5): Hidden Gem - I searched a long time for a place in our budget that didn’t get terrible reviews. Santa Monica is a very expensive area. I stumbled across this gem after someone recommended another property in a different area owned by the same people. I also really liked the fact that there seemed to be adequate parking. We received a very warm reception upon arrival. Everything was thoroughly explained, and a tour was given. The inn provides beach towels and equipment, although we didn’t utilize these. There are many different areas in which to relax on the first floor. Breakfast was good and was complimentary. Snacks and beverages are provided late afternoon. There is no elevator, but this is often the case in historic properties. Just something to keep in mind when staying on the second or third floor. Our room was a good size with abundant natural light. Everything was very clean. Our room was serviced daily, which is rare since Covid. The neighborhood felt very safe. It’s actually a more upscale neighborhood. My one complaint was that our mattress had seen better days. We would definitely stay here again.
- renee (9/5): -
- Constance (6/5): Nice place but overpriced - Adequate breakfast Coffee maker in room didn't work properly, no side table next to bed.
- Janet (6/5): - Hotel is located in a very quiet area of Santa Monica with limited dinner options unless you have a car/ Uber ready. Walking distance to the beach, the Inn is an 100+ old remodeled home with very clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and friendly staff. Sadly, the second day of our stay they had a plumbing issue and we had no water to take a shower. We had an event to go and the whole ordeal was a huge inconvenience and delayed to our plans. I will have given it 5 stars if they had notified us about the water issue early so, we could have showered early.
- Terry (10/5): - Aircon on top floor is quite noisy. Otherwise a great hotel, friendly staff and the afyernoon cheese and wine is a very nice touch
- Shahram (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay. Such an incredibly quaint and charming place. We adored the charming b&b. We looked forward to our morning breakfast. It seemed a lot of love and care went into making it and we felt it. The staff was amazingly friendly. With a doubt, we will be back for a longer stay. We were actually sad to leave the property that shows what kind of impression it left on us.
- Rachel (10/5): - This gem of a place was the highlight of our trip to Santa Monica! From start the finish the customer service and warm spirit of the staff & house itself was incredible!! A unique and peaceful stay with amazing breakfast! We will be back as soon as we can 😊
- Jarten (4/5): Disappointing stay in Santa Monica - I am embarrassed to admit that I believed all of the hype that I read online. The best thing about this B&B was the location. Just a short walk to the Santa Monica beach. It was not a very nice stay. The 2 room suite that I booked had 2 very small rooms that had a very old bathroom between them. You either had to go outside to get into the second room if somebody was in the bathroom or wait.
There was no closet space, very little drawer and shelf space and very little seating.
The TV's were difficult to watch due to their placement and the lack of seating. There was also the fact that it took a great deal of effort to get the main tv to work.
The breakfast was nice but the afternoon wine and cheese was highlighted by the stale peanut butter pretzels.
Oh and don't forget that there is virtually no shelf space in the bathroom and hardly any storage space in the rest of the unit.
Nice people, nice enough common areas but lousy rooms(at least the suite that I was in) and just not worth it.
- Monica (8/5): Nice -
- Oscar Manuel (9/5): Cómo estar en casa - Todo. Limpísimo, desayuno bueno. Parking en la puerta. Cama comodisima.
- Catherine (10/5): - Wow, the property didn’t disappoint. We loved our stay and will return soon.
- Brian (10/5): Wonderful little Inn - Wonderful place with an amazing vibe and location. The staff is equally so. Would absolutely stay again.
- Rebecca (10/5): - It was beautiful, cozy, and perfect. The parking, but there's nothing anyone can do about that.
- Eleanor (10/5): - Beautiful bnb and the host was lovely and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the homemade cookies in the room were a lovely touch.
- Sheri (6/5): - I guess an employee didn't show on the first morning there so I didn't get breakfast an the room was very expensive and people raved about the breakfast. I had to go out for coffee and breakfast! I think a room credit is due here. All else was fantastic but this was disappointing to say the least. For a bed and
"breakfast"
- Sandra (10/5): - Perfect. Home from home. Hotel is beautifully furnished, our room was fabulous with a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was lovely. Free cheese, biscuits and wine every afternoon. Home made cookies absolutely delicious. Walking distance from Santa Monica beach - miles of open sand with pacific rollers to play in. Free parking on site. Can’t praise it highly enough.
- Dominik (9/5): -
- Guido (10/5): Amazing.
- Chrissy (10/5): I really enjoyed my stay. Great location , great venue , fantastic home made breakfast, friendly service . - Location, decoration, cleanliness, breakfast, ease of access.
- MIchelle (10/5): - The staff was lovely and offered restaurant suggestions when asked. The breakfast was healthy and tasty as was the wine hour.
- Maher (10/5): Would be very happy to stay there again. - Very well furnished and clean, staff very welcoming, well situated, wine and nibbles from 4-6 pm. All good
- Alayne (10/5): - EST hosts, best breakfast, amazing house—-loved loved loved!
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly hosts, location Opened window in my room to sleep to cool down on 3rd floor.
- Hengst (10/5): Amazing stay with comfy beds, delicious breakfast and great location. - Everything was fantastic! What a cozy and charming place. Nothing
- Michael (10/5): - Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and wine and cheese hour.
- Richard (10/5): - This place is an absolute delight. It’s situated in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach. The interior is really nicely done and the staff are absolutely fantastic. The breakfast was a real treat.
10/10 would stay here again or in one of their other properties.
- Karla (10/5): - Not enough positives to say about this place! From the free parking that always had a spot for us to the individual patio in our room to the most excellent home cooked breakfast, everything about this gem was worth our time spent there. Will most definitely stay there upon our return!
- Julie (10/5): Excellent, would highly recommend. - A really lovely place, really helpful and kind staff. Bed very comfortable, excellent home made breakfast and wine/ cheese offering at 5pm a lovely touch.
- Bao (10/5): Fantastic B&B - This is a wonderful B&B. The teams was friendly the inn was comfy and clean.and the rooms are great. The breakfast was delicious great variety of fresh fruit baked goods and freshly made dishes and bread.
- Kristen (10/5): - So quaint. I hope stay again. Wonder hospitality. The breakfast is to die for. Delicious fresh housemade items that were such a treat. The room was immaculate. Loved the beachy yet coziness to them.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Iva (10/5): - I rarely write reviews, but Channel Road Inn deserves one.
This is one of the few hotels which has made us feel really at home: from Dominique's homemade pear cake and granola, through the rustic charm room to the late afternoon wine and cheese... Everything was perfect. Thank you so much Dominique and team for all the special attention you provide and the love with which you manage your hotel.
- M (10/5): Exceptional - excellent breakfast
- Stuart (7/5): Good - Friendly staff, and good location Bed too high to easily get on. No elevator for those who cannot walk upstairs easily.
- Tovar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sullivan (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location, close to the beach. The staff are friendly and the property is well maintained. The rooms are cozy and we felt very much at home there. Breakfast was yummy and snacks and drinks were wonderful during the day.
- WANDA (10/5): Vacation - We love the Four Sisters Hotels they are always old beautiful homes. Service was perfect. Location was excellent.
- Luciano (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (9/5): Channel Road Inn was a welcome respite with a warm and inviting staff. - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selections were interesting, tasty and varied. Inn was a little chilly.
- Joe (10/5): Great hospitality and service in a top notch inn - Everything N/A
- Sonja (10/5): - Lovely quirky hotel with super staff. Good breakfast and the wine hour is a nice treat. Quite a long way along the beach but easy walking. Would highly recommend.
- Cristina (10/5): - The property and staff is superb!
- Nigel (10/5): Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. -
- ParkHillGirl (10/5): A true hidden gem - We (mom, dad, teenage daughter) stayed in the family queen room. It was just what we needed. The 2 bedrooms were cute and comfy and the bathroom was spacious enough for us to share.
The service was wonderful! Every request is accommodated with sincere friendliness. The common areas both inside and outside are lovely, and the breakfast and snacks were delicious.
We really didn't know what to expect and we're so glad we decided to stayed here instead of a more traditional hotel. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and there's a great coffee place right next door. Two thumbs way up!
- Debi (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - Cozy, friendly and free off-street parking. Excellent breakfast. Very handy for LA, beaches and the I-10.
- Reera (10/5): Beautiful stay for newlyweds - My husband and I stayed two nights at the Channel Inn for our elopement. The staff were very warm and generous. They sent us a bottle of prosecco and a small bundt cake as congratulations. The breakfasts were delicious. The whole inn had an old seaside cottage charm to it, with board games and jigsaw puzzles to boot. The location is a sharp turn from the freeway. It can be easy to miss the turn, and you could end up driving for miles to do a U-turn. So pay attention to the lanes!
- Hania (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): - Wonderful bed and breakfast. Very kind staff. Easy parking with close access to the beach (walking distance). Lovely wine and cheese spread in the evening and morning breakfast with coffee and tea. Would recommend and will plan to stay again in the near future.
- luis (10/5): - The place was clean and cozy with excellent staff.
- Berk (8/5): Don't take the room with the bed between two pillars. - Cosy, nice seating area Access to the property was a bit difficult. Door stuck.
The bed was between some pillars which made getting in and out very difficult. I actually hurt my ankle which did not heal as of today.
Pipes make an incredible sound when neighbors shower, which may be very uncomfortable after midnight.
- Louise (10/5): A very special hotel in a beautiful location, run by a great team of staff. - The hotel was perfect for couples. A great location 10 minutes walk from the beach.
Free parking was appreciated.
The staff were so friendly and looked to go the extra mile at every opportunity.
Breakfast was excellent and home baked cookies were always available together with wine, cheese and nibbles in the afternoons.
We were really pleased with the room and tge bed was huge and super comfy. Not thing except for maybe a fridge in the room.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely B&B - Lovely home-cooked breakfasts
Big comfortable rooms
Near the beach and a few restaurants Nothing
- nickh816 (10/5): It’s the best - Stayed here for 3 years running now and without doubt would book again. Everything about this place is incredible.
Real family atmosphere, great breakfast. Rooms are just soooo lovely. All together location is fab
Above everything else the team are superb. Welcoming, nothing too much trouble and so helpful, all the while being genuine
If you are thinking of staying in Santa Monica, book this place now
- Maria (10/5): - Amazing experience. Amazing breakfast.amazing service Homemade granola was spectacular. I would
Love to say there again .
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yelena (10/5): - What a great place. Very quaint and comfy. Service was great and there was parking. Really enjoyed the breakfast which was way better than expected. I would recommend and come again.
- Michaelakadean (10/5): Exceptional - Without doubt the best place I have stayed in the US, across many trips. The warm and thoughtful welcome from the staff, the wonderful breakfast, the location just minutes' walk to the beach, the overall ambience with the fellow guests - everything was exceptional. Hoping to one day come back and have the pleasure of staying here again. Nothing, it was faultless.
- doctorbobster (10/5): Charming Lodging Just Off the Sand - Located on Channel Road just a few blocks from the sand of Santa Monica Beach, the Channel Road Inn is a charming guest house with an excellent staff. The Inn has an excellent "homey" feel and is nicely furnished. Our upstairs room featured a salon with bedroom and a large bathroom. The afternoon wine/cheese is an excellent touch and the breakfast was varied, excellent and satisfying. The Inn is the sort of place that makes you want to stay there just to enjoy its ambience. Like any quality lodging in Santa Monica, the Inn is pricey.
- Tom (8/5): - Comfortabe property with good breakfast offerings. Easy access to the beach.
Although there are several restaurants near the property only one is open before 5:00
- Robert (9/5): $tylish Charming Gue$t Hou$e Near the $anta Monica $and - Located on Channel Road just a few blocks from the sand of Santa Monica Beach, the Channel Road Inn is a charming guest house with an excellent staff. While there is parking, the space is limited and you may not get a spot, especially if other guests failed do not understand why the white lines are there on the ground. Like any quality lodging in Santa Monica, the Channel Road Inn is pricey.
- Sabrina (10/5): - Excellent and comfortable room, phenomenal breakfast spread, short walk to the beach!
- cathyrJ9150HQ (10/5): Lovely Bed & Breakfast - Channel Road Inn was beautiful! The room we stayed in was really lovely and had a nice large bathroom. Staff was very friendly and warm, and the food was all delicious. We enjoyed the breakfast and afternoon spreads they prepared for us! It’s in a nice area of Santa Monica, just a few minutes walk from nice restaurants and an easy walk to the beach. We loved our stay!
- Adam (10/5): - Great breakfast and operators.
- John (10/5): - All around great place to stay. Very tasty breakfast!
