Guest Reviews
- Nicholas (9/5): Very pleasant. - Location. Staff.
- Stepanyuk (7/5): -
- Mary Jane (8/5): - The staff were amazing! Could not fault the bar and restaurant staff, they were so attentive and helpful. The only thing to let the experience down was the mattress. Honestly it was not great at all.
- Steven (7/5): - Nice building in a quiet part of Dublin.
Large room with a comfortable bed. Location, it was much further from the 3Arena than I was expecting
- Adam (10/5): -
- Maria (10/5): - Beautiful building, very nice, comfortable rooms.
- Natalia (9/5): Cozy and nice - Great cozy hotel, always impeccably clean, comfortable beds, great staff Outdated air conditioning, no fridge, outdated hairdryer
- Mark (8/5): My parents really like this place - Location. Nice bar and restaurant All good
- Joan (10/5): -
- Chantal (8/5): -
- Reza (10/5): - Very beautiful hotel It was far from the city centre
- Elli (10/5): -
- M (7/5): A very pleasant stay. - The hotel was well positioned for the Aircoach stop, bus stops, DART link & only a 20-30 mins walk into the centre of Dublin. It was tasteful & comfortable, the staff were friendly & helpful, our room was quiet & cleaned every day. Our room had no drawers only a wardrobe so we didn’t really have enough space to properly unpack.
- adrian (8/5): -
- Courtney (9/5): Magical - Such a gem! The unique concept, beautiful design, friendly and helpful staff, and also the amazing restaurant and bar all contributed to a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a quieter area, conveniently located next to public transportation or an easy 20 min walk into the center. Would recommend and will definitely stop back in when visiting the city in future My only note would be poor water pressure
- Garry King (10/5): Cosy quality stay - Overall, a great experience. The staff were very accommodating, the attached restaurant was very good. Located within walking distance to downtown Dublin. The room was very comfortable.
- Fohrer (9/5): - Points positifs :
* Très bon emplacement pour visiter la ville.
* Chambre spacieuse et confortable.
* Hôtel très original, installé dans une ancienne école pleine de charme.
* Parking gratuit, ce qui est particulièrement appréciable dans une capitale. Points négatifs :
* Notre chambre a été légèrement enfumée par les odeurs du barbecue de l’hôtel en soirée. Heureusement, cela s’est arrêté assez tôt et n’a pas trop impacté le séjour.

- Matthew (7/5): - It was in a good location, it was very clean, and the staff were very friendly The hot water didn’t work in our room. I didn’t mind the key locks but I did find it a little odd to put weights on the key chain which they recommend leaving at the front desk whenever you leave the hotel.
- Hasse (8/5): -
- David (8/5): - All pretty good Not very coo in a 4 star hotel that a guest was permitted into the breakfast room in pajamas, hotel robe and slipper. It’s a dining room not a spa or pool and a certain dress code should be maintained
- Dunaway (10/5): -
- Tanker05 (9/5): - Location, Location, Location!! Just great for hopping on the bus, picking up a few grocery items for getting a bite to eat all very walkable. So wonderful to have secure free parking! We thought it was a tad bit expensive.
- Irina (10/5): Perfect stay in Dublin - Schoolhouse is located in a quiet area yet very close to city center. The building is historic, charming architectural gem. The room is very clean, bathroom looks like it had been recently renovated. Very good breakfast. Hotel management is super-friendly. The gastropub is excellent, we had dined there twice. Very convenient parking - great bonus.
- stella (10/5): Love this hotel - Location Nothing
- Sorcio (10/5): Great place. We highly recommend. - Wonderful atmosphere, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, cozy restaurant and bar with very good food at reasonable prices. We would definitely come back.

- Lorraine (9/5): Welcoming & comfortable with friendly, polite & helpful staff. - Loved the proximity of the hotel to everything.
The staff were welcoming & very helpful.
Rooms were very clean & comfortable.
- jorge (10/5): Todo muy bien,el personal Top,vuelvo seguro - Si todo bien Falta presion
de agua en la ducha
- karen (10/5): Great stay, loved sitting in the outdoor bar - Nice quiet area. It easily walkable to more touristy areas. Awesome outdoor bar.
- Rosie (5/5): Drain issue in hotel - Comfy beds and nice interior Our room (331) had a terrible problem with drains. The staff were not apologetic and just said this happens from ‘time to time’ in this room due to the canal. We were provided with air freshener but the smell was so strong it didn’t help. We eventually moved rooms but everything seemed like too much trouble with no apology.

- Maeve (8/5): Lovely rooms and location. - I have stayed a few times here and love the decor of the rooms. The beds are comfortable and quiet with little outside noise interference. Lovely building.
- Matt (8/5): Nice room - Very nice decor in a quiet area. Clean bathrooms and bedding was clean and comfortable. A bit further away from the central area (20-30 mins walk). The room is clean overall but the walls have some minor stains on them (hard to tell because of the pattern but I saw it).
- Philip (9/5): Very good value for money, food really good, atmosphere in the bar and restaurant a real positive. Location excellent - Location, rooms and food very good Nothing particularly
- Prof Dr Britta (3/5): Not a 4-star hotel, unprofessionally managed, badly maintained - Pretty large room Unprofessionally managed, badly maintained, tiny safe, not suited for computer, tiny window, next to no view outside, tiny bathroom, sliding shower door not functioning upon arrival, no place to put towels, hairdryer far away from any mirror, hooked up to a drawer, no magnifying mirror, damaged unrepaired wall
- David (1/5): -
- Neil (9/5): -
- Maggie (10/5): -
- Rebecca (8/5): Great room and amenities some of the staff a little rude - We had a really lovely stay at The Schoolhouse in Dublin. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had every amenity you could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was fantastic — genuinely one of the best we’ve had in a hotel. The only downside was the experience when we returned late one evening. The staff member on duty was a bit abrupt, which took away from the otherwise warm and welcoming feel of the hotel
- David (9/5): a short enjoyable stay made better by the Hotel staff and emenities - would recommend to anyone - Staff very friendly and efficient - huge bed and great breakfast I liked everything
- Shelley (8/5): -
- mick (9/5): - All good Value for money not sure prices in peak season would be the same
- Dominik (10/5): -
Vielen Dank! Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen!
- Mary (6/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): Good location and comfortable - Bed was extremely comfy! No fridge in room, room kind of small
- Roger (8/5): Hotel good although pricey. Gastropub needs help. - Service at the Gastropub was overwhelmed. Not the server’s fault as the beer garden was swamped due to sunshine but we were left alone after getting our meal, not asked if we wanted anything more, had to flag someone down to get the check. You are in the enviable position of needing more staff!
- Wright (10/5): Excellent - Parking. Only downfall.
- Benedict (9/5): -
- Binders (9/5): -
- Alison (9/5): -
- Elmar (8/5): Ausgezeichnete Lage in Sligo -
- Aleksandr (8/5): - Breakfast, the gastrobar were good. The location is also good. Would be good to have a fridge in the room
- Victoriia (10/5): -
- Michelle (5/5): Wouldn’t stay again . - Good location
Clean
Very Quiet location .. comfortable beds . Rude restaurant manager .
Fires and lights turned off at 11.50 pm in bar .. was told the bar stayed open until 12.30 . Made to feel very unwelcome so left .
Booked a king size room but 2 x 3 ft beds pushed together .
A very poor breakfast . Had to get things heated up as cold . Burnt pudding .

- JoyB111 (7/5): Very charming hotel - Great location, Staff were absolutely fantastic and room was very comfortable. We were really just passing through - visiting friends in Dublin, didn't check in until after 9pm and left the following morning but the hotel was very central and had a great aesthetic which I really loved. Our room was spotless and the bed was perfect. We had asked for a separate bed for our 8 year old which was provided but he ended up in our bed during the night and there was loads of room for all three of us! The cost of breakfast was just insane for what we got. 25 euro per person for an extremely limited menu and a full irish that was undercooked, served on a cold plate and quite tasteless. The buffet was quite limited. I don't normally eat breakfast in any hotel I stay in and this is why. I'm not blaming the hotel for the price as I find it's pretty standard now but I was very disappointed with what we received. Also, the heat was on full blast in our room when we arrived and it was extremely warm. We found it difficult to cool it down and had a somewhat restless night's sleep with the heat. That is probably on us as we arrived so late.
- antje (10/5): Extrem komfortabel - Ja, sehr Alles bestens.
- Carol Lara (10/5): - Everything, the place is stunning, the bed extremely comfortable and the staff was super friendly!
- Hugh (10/5): -

- Jill (10/5): A special place to stay in Dublin! - The hotel is charming and in a safe, lovely neighborhood. It is about a 20 minute walk to the city center. Many great places to see along the way. It's quiet, and an excellent pub and dining room at reasonable prices. Room 326 was fabulous! I wish breakfast would have been included in the rate. Oh well, still wonderful.

- Aoife (9/5): Sweet little hotel. - Spacious room with access to the outdoor area was lovely. The bar is very nice. Lovely food and decor. Staff are friendly and helpful.

- Sophina (10/5): Great woukd return. - The air con instructions. A little touch but honestly if every hotel had this life would be great. Everything looked as per the pictures. Stunning rooms great location to where I needed to attend Nothing really.
- Maria (10/5): Perfectly peaceful hotel - That it was a previous school. Location was lovely and quiet. Nothing was wrong other then the ceiling has a picture rail you can see dust on it that needs attention.
