- Ori (6/5): אין על ניו יורק בסוף טיול. - המלון נהדר. ממוקם מצוין. חדרים טובים הגענו למלון בשש בבוקר טרוטי עיניים אחרי לילה ללא שינה מטיסה ארוכה שנחתה בחמש בבוקר. הדלת הייתה נעולה ולא הצלחנו להיכנס עם הקוד. בסוף איש ניקיון הכניס אותנו, ואז ראינו שיש פקיד קבלה, שלבטח היה מודע לניסיון שלנו להיכנס, אך התעלם. שאלנו אם יש חדר שאפשר להיכנס אליו (תמורת תשלום כמובן), כי הצ'ק אין רק בשעה 16:00. אמרו שהמלון מלא. אחרי בדיקה נוספת אמרו שנוכל להיכנס בשעה 13:00. אחרי בדיקה נוספת אמרו שנוכל להיכנס בשעה 12:00. בשלב זה היינו ממש גמורים. תפסנו שתי ספות בפינה ונרדמנו עליהן. אחרי 29 דקות שינה (מדוד על הגרמין שלי) העיר אותי פקיד הקבלה בצעקות, שאסור לי לישון. השעה הייתה מוקדמת, לא הפרענו לאיש וזה היה רוע לשמו.

- Christina (8/5): Gute Lage, zentral, sicher und sauber. - Sehr gute Lage, 50m Luftlinie zum Trump Tower, 5 min zur U–Bahn, 5 min zur Central Park, 15 min laufen zum Times Square, haben uns sicher und wohl gefühlt, der Balkon war ein Knaller, würde ich empfehlen und wieder buchen, wenn ich wieder in NY bin.

- S8813KXsteved (2/5): Won’t use again , so painful - Didn’t visit in the end but booked for 2026 on a flexible booking. Like others it has taken me some time , nearly a month , after cancelling to actually get my funds paid back to me . Was told funds had been sent in August and to check with my Bank , eventually they found an error in the system and started the whole refund process again . This took me multiple chasers etc and the booking agent wasn’t much better , pushing responsibility to Sonder and indeed asking me to provide proof I had even paid upfront . Won’t use again and I’ve also cancelled all future flexible bookings with agent

- OutnaboutfromNI (10/5): Perfect spot with lots of room for a family of 4 - This really was a great location for our four night stay in New York. We had plenty of space for our family of 4 with room not just for the cases but also cupboard / wardrobe space to unpack a little and feel at home. We were a bit nervous about our two older kids sharing the sofa bed but it was really spacious and they found it really comfortable. The king bed was fab! The second toilet and terrace were the icing on the cake. The staff that helped us were genuinely lovely - some of the nicest people we met in NYC. Unfortunately I only remember Sarah's name but there were 2 or 3 others who were super friendly and kind. We had a maintenance issue which was quickly resolved. The facilities available on the mezzanine make it a really convenient spot. Loved it here!

When they advertise a room of 350 sf (size able for Manhattan) they don’t tell you that the space includes a non-functional hallway which occupies about 25% of the total room. The supposed Queen bed was a Double. Location is terrific. Pricing is on par with any hotel in this caliber in New York.

- jamesfU7983GI (2/5): - I thought the hotel was great once I was able to get into the room. The front desk was unable to help me and stood until another employee came back from brake. After 15 minute the second employee was able to get me mostly checked in. Not only was getting into the hotel hard they charged my personal card, while I was traveling for work. I could not get them to correct this or to take the taxes of for almost 2 month. I had been on the phone for more that 6 times. The assistance on the phone was not localized and the attendants on the other side did not seem to understand everything that I was asking for. I will never stay at this location again!
- eekaboig (8/5): Pretty good - Chambers is an OK hotel in itself. It is low staffed, but there is someone (usually) at the desk or door from 8a-11p. I had some issues with check in and getting into my room but the front desk person (Brandon i believe) was very helpful in getting it sorted. The furniture itself is pretty worn, but functional (reminded me a bit of a hostile), but it was adequate. I did like the rooms eclectic art works however. The best parts of this hotel is the location and size. The price is quite affordable for that area and proximity to trains as well as being safe and quiet. Its also roughly 300sq ft, which make it easier to enjoy when staying for more than a couple of nights. The AC was a bit noisy, but it would go quiet after its initial start up after a minute or two. Overall, it was a very good stay. We were out most of the time, but it being so close to everything i needed made my life easy, and that is key for me when traveling.

A Thoughtful and Memorable Stay, Thanks to a Wonderful Team Although I didn’t originally book a stay at this particular Sonder property, I must highlight the exceptional service I received from Keith, the receptionist at the main lobby. He was welcoming, helpful, and made a great first impression. Over the phone, Jason and Hanna — whom I believe were assisting from Massachusetts — also went the extra mile. They provided outstanding customer service with kindness, calm professionalism, and quick responses. Their support truly stood out. The Bed The bed was very comfortable, soft, and perfect for a good night's sleep. I especially loved the pillows — they were just right. The View From my room, I had a direct view of the Solow Building. At night, the city lights made it absolutely stunning — a real treat to look at before falling asleep. The Shower I was pleasantly surprised to find Davines hair care products in the bathroom — an Italian brand known for its quality. It's one of my favorites, and it was a luxurious touch. The only thing I missed was having a hot tub. The Lobby The lobby was cozy and inviting — a perfect spot to read a book, flip through a magazine, or enjoy a cup of coffee with friends in the lounge-style living room. And thankfully, the property has an elevator, so there's no need to take the stairs. During my stay, there was a minor issue with a double charge. Fortunately, Ms. Natacha, the General Manager at Sonder Chambers, promptly handled the situation with her team. Their efficiency and teamwork resolved the issue quickly and professionally.

The bed and linen were comfortable, decent sized bathroom excellent and the concept of self managing the room and hotel accessories such as water refill, tea, tissues etc is terrific. We really loved the window overlooking 56th Street a bonus. Not much, perhaps more bathroom hooks/ledges and the windows needed cleaning.

- Tina (4/5): - We recently stayed at the Chambers/Sonders & now Marrriot in June at one of your big terrace suites and we had a terrible experience . The services were non existant , empty mini bars , no doorman , no bellman , no flexibility for early or late check in, non maintained or clean rooms were everything looked run down from years back when we use to stay there 4 times /year and left shocked and unsatisfied with the time we spend especially considering it is a Marriott property now . Totally unacceptable and wrong given our consistent support globally for your Marriot properties .

- Sullyheise (4/5): Not a Marriott hotel and no Humans available - I travel to NYC frequently and this came up as a new Marriott option. Gave it a try because of the good location and reasonable rate. It wasn’t until after I booked I realized it wasn’t a true Marriott and they are only affiliated with Sonder through a newer partnership. There is no front desk staff the majority of the time. The hotel front door and your room is accessed through a mobile key. The room was ok but showing a lot of wear. The lobby, elevators and fitness center had a bad odor that was present for all 3 days that I was there. The room was fine though. Have been trying for days to get a copy of my invoice. Nothing was emailed, no one at the front desk, the app is unresponsive and have spent hours on hold. Totally ridiculous. Another colleague tried to rebook a stay there and was met with an impossible process and lost their money. The total lack of access to human interaction is awful.

Took $5000 prepayment and has not been refunded despite cancellation - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL if you want to interact with a human or have any chance of cancelling your booking, even weeks before your stay. We booked two rooms three months ago but had to cancel our trip plans. I cancelled our totally refundable/cancellable booking ONE MONTH before our stay. Unfortunately the hotel took FULL prepayment of my stay right when I booked (should have thought that was strange right off the bat!!) and I am yet to refunded almost $5000! I cannot get anyone on the phone or to actually respond with anything helpful by email or chat. This place has great reviews as long as you intend to take your trip... if you might cancel, do not expect ANY customer service.

- Karin (4/5): Disappointing - the Mezzanine floor, the bathroom was ok The interior decoration and furniture is very worn and run down. The AC is very loud, even if turned off, there is constant noise from the ventilation system. There is no default cleaning but one has to ask for it in order that the room is cleaned. This hotel definitely does not deserve a four star rating, at the most 2 stars are justified.

- Sarah (9/5): Great location, stylish with lovely staff - Great location within walking distance of Central Park, 5th Ave & subway links. Modern & clean. Extras & chill area on the mezzanine were great - especially on last day after check out. Staff very nice and helpful. Shower is amazing!! First time a waterfall shower has actually felt like a waterfall!! The bed is NOT a Queen size bed (also referred to as a large double)!! It is a standard 4ft 6inch double - Queen size bed should be 5ft wide. Pillows are too small and uncomfortable. Had to move furniture to open window properly. Large mirror leant against wall next to bed, whilst very stylish, is unnecessary and a trip hazzard in the middle of the night. Could not close curtains completely at night as the air con sucked the curtain in.

- Lin (10/5): - This hotel has become my top choice every time I visit New York. First of all, the location is excellent. The rooms are spacious, and the shower in the bathroom has great water pressure — incredibly refreshing. As soon as you step outside, there are tons of trendy restaurants nearby: Japanese ramen shops, Hunan cuisine at "Ye Lai Xiang," and many other options. Another big plus is the partnered parking garage, which offers special discounts. That way, even if you stay for 3–4 days or longer, the parking fees remain reasonable and not outrageously expensive.

- Balboalife (10/5): Great Price Comfortable Stay - First time staying at a Sonder and we will definitely return! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers a mezzanine level lounge with tables and reading material, water, replacement coffee pods and amenities. We love the ecological concept of being able to request maid service as needed, not daily. This hotel is located steps from all the upscale shops on 5th Ave and Central Park. You are a short walk to a subway station and there is a great food shop with just about anything you may require a few doors down.
- Valeska (7/5): Good - Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Very nice cosy common areas. Good location by the park and mid town but not as busy and touristy as times square. I received a flurry of emails about completing online check in. The hotel does have a front desk. Everything is more tech like. You need to request house keeping, so if you arrive late you won’t get it the day before. Rooms were not as cosy as the common areas and felt rather bare, they could definitely benefit from a refurb.

É importante seguir as orientações do e-mail de confirmação da reserva e baixar o aplicativo. O checkin/checkout é feito pelo app, o que torna todo o processo muito rápido e prático. O horário de entrada é às 16h e saída às 11h. É possível antecipar, mas é cobrado um valor progressivo; quanto mais cedo, mais caro. Quanto à acomodação, o quarto que ficamos era amplo e com uma ducha sensacional. O atendimento dos funcionários foi cortez e amigável. Uma observação: é conveniente programar a limpeza dos quartos logo no início junto à recepção na chegada, pois se for feita pelo aplicativo haverá uma cobrança.

A very comforable stay in our two room suite. Away from the bustle of Times Square but walkable distance to all amenities required. Whether business or tourist, highly recommend.

- Dean (8/5): - Great place to stay, staff are top notch. The only odd things are the bathrooms have some design flaws. The transition from bathroom the the room there is a 1.5 inch step. The toilet paper roll is oddly tucked away and hard to use. And the shower soaps are hard to use when the shower is on, trying to bring liquid soap back through a waterfall is useless.
- Sofia (10/5): If a good friend was a hotel, this would be it. - Loved the location being so central and a five minute walk from Central Park. Matches the vibe of NY and it’s feel good energy. This is my favourite Sonder Hotel. The best part was the welcoming hospitality of the staff. They made our stay so memorable and went above and beyond to make it feel like a home away from home. Can’t wait to come back :)
- 1882MeredithF (10/5): Comfortable and clean - Enjoyed my comfortable, clean and quiet stay just a couple blocks from Central Park. Appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the ease of checking in and out. Personal highlight was the rain shower in the bathroom! Would recommend to anyone needing a clean and reliable place to stay that's not as expensive as other midtown hotels.

- Steven (10/5): Great location and value for money - We are very happy we selected this hotel! The room was very nice, spacious and with a good bathroom. We enjoyed the chill lounge on the mezzanine level where you can heat and eat breakfast obtained from various deli's around the corner. The location is great, just 2 blocks from central park and right on 5th Avenue. A short walk to the theatre district. Staff is friendly. Room cleaning is not included on multiple day stays but this is OK. The rain shower has abundant water flow but it is hard to contain in the tub, so the floor gets wet. A more subtle detachable shower would save water and spray less around.

- Sofiamp3 (5/5): Not hip nor memorable - The location is great and the shower is amazing Not a hip hotel (contrarily to what is suggested on their website), nor hip decor; the ceiling of the entrance is stained, the carpet in the room smells of dust, the staff at the reception are dishevelled, the AC is super noisy, the mini bar is not stocked. No cleaning service and no bed was made during our 5 day stay. And you need to give away your biometric data to a private third company in order to access the hotel.

- Culture284395 (10/5): NYC for 1Night/2 days - Staff welcomed us at check-in, process went smoothly. The Chambers is in good condition other than the elevator system is all messed up. Had a great loft suite w/patio, bath and 1/2 but wish there was a sink in the kitchen area. Great location. Mezzanine area was great area to get some work done pre/post check-in/out. There is a coffee shop and restaurant connected.
