They even emailed me to let me know my room is ready early (after I dropped off my bag due to early morning flight). Room was clean, spacious and quiet. There's a Burger King right across from hotel in case you get really hungry and need something quick. There's also a laundromat nearby hotel.

• Michael (10/5): Barcelona - Great value. The upgrades they made including an extra layer between walls to reduce room cross noise were good. It was my 7th stay at the hotel. Great WiFi. Good location. Metro station 1 min away. The room had a safe. AC worked very well. Lots of fast food and regular restaurants with minutes. The area outside the hotel is a bit sketchy but it’s safe.
• Colleen (10/5): - A basic hotel but very friendly staff and a comfortable bed. We didn’t try the breakfast as there were a lot of coffee shops/bakeries close by. I might choose this hotel on another visit to Barcelona as the location felt safe and was not too busy.

• yasemin (8/5): - We like the hotel, it was right for the price, basic but clean, breakfast was with options and enough variety with protein, pastry, fruit, jams etc. neighborhood was lively and a bit to much at first sight but we did not feel unsafe with enough families around and different restaurants. Specially tapas places at the street behind the hotel were nice. Thank you for a nice and safe stay.

I made an almost last minute reservation not researching hotels as much as I usually do, merely choosing it because of its location and price. However, the hotel turned out to be very nice, clean, and recently renovated. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, And, I even got a room upgrade.

• Zana (8/5): - Surprisingly when we arrived at the hotel we weren’t even greeted by the two receptionists. Not even a good evening let alone a smile or a welcome phrase. Even though I did check online for which I had a confirmation email the receptionist kept insisting that I did not do so and wouldn’t even take a second to look at the email confirmation which I was trying to show him. Hence the check in took very long which we really weren’t very pleased to go through because it was almost midnight and we were travelling with kids. However the breakfast was good and the staff down there was nice and polite. Another thing which we didn’t expect was the construction that was going on at the hotel’s first floor where the breakfast room was located. The location of the hotel was good having a lot of dining options around. Wouldn’t praise the cleaning at all, the bathroom needs some deep cleaning. Overall I would not go back there if ever again in Barcelona.
• Jodie (10/5): - Great hotel and so pleased with our find. Really great location near to metro stations and approx 15 mins walk down to the marina and 20ish mins to La Rambla. All staff on reception were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast delicious with lots of choice. Room was spotlessly clean and beds made up during our stay. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to Barcelona.

I would stay here again when visiting Barcelona as a solo traveler. The space was just right for one person and in a good location. Very walkable to notable sights like La Boqueria.

Great tapas places a little ways up the hill, frequented by locals. Don’t buy breakfast, you can get a croissant and coffee in a nearby cafe for around 3-4 euros.

Las Ramlas is only a 12 min walk. For the most part quiet. The only inconvenience is that check in is after 3pm. You have to pay an euro to store your bags.

• Michael (8/5): Mike Barcelona - Good value. 4th stay at this hotel. Large room. Safe. Great wifi. Convenient location. 2 minutes from Metro / Funicular. Room had an odd odour coming in the bathroom (through the plumbing I imagine) but in fairness, I didn’t say anything until check out after my 4 night stay. I just used a can of air spray and all was fine. I mentioned this to reception on check out. A Carre Four and Dias minutes away for snacks. Recommended
• Mira (10/5): - I stayed at Hotel Paral-lel December 2022 for six nights. The front desk and breakfast room staff were very friendly and very accommodating. My room was small and clean and suited my one week stay perfectly. The breakfast offerings were great with lot of options to change things up over the course of my stay. The hotel is two blocks from Las Ramblas and close to the port to walk to Barceloneta beach for a lovely stroll.

• Jonathan (8/5): - It's a basic very clean modern hotel in an extremely vibrant area. There is no bar so there's not much atmosphere, but plenty as soon as you get on the street. Loads of places to eat and bars, cinemas, theatres. It's about 10 minute walk to the port if you're getting a ferry, and a 1 minute walk to the Paral.lel metro station including the Funicular to go up Mont Juic.

• Kevin (8/5): Great room & staff - bad wifi - Great hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff but terrible wifi that would cut in and out every few minutes. The room over all is nice and had everything we needed. The hotel is located near the metro and has lots of shops and food options. By foot you can go to park Montjuic and see the dancing fountain, Olympic park and get amazing views of the city from the castle. We would stay here again but hopefully they’ll have better wifi next time.

With easy walking to "La Rambla" where most tourists wander around and good tapa restaurant's offer tourist's with their specialty dishes. We love this hotel and definately come back in the near future.

• Alex (8/5): Good value for money - Greatest features about this hotel is quite possibly price and location. My only critic would be the design of the shower area, due to safety measures. I slipped taking a shower manly because of the extreme slippery floor. I did hurt myself a bit, but it could have been a lot worst. If I’m honest I can see this happening to somebody else, and it could have a worst result. Perhaps a shower non slip mat could do the job. The hotel should take sometime to review and it’s a death trap, I’m not exaggerating.

• Megan (10/5): - Loved my stay at Parallel. Very convenient walk to all the interesting sites in Barcelona. Close to many shops. I appreciated being near grocery stores, convenience stores, coffee shops, and a laundromat. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I lost my room card and they helped me acquire a new one. All staff I interacted with are fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English. The only negative thing about this property is that the staff has to manually let you in and out of the building. This would make sense to me at night but they do this 24/7. It can get irritating to have someone let you in as the staff are busy with other tasks. Not at all the fault of the staff! I'm sure it is a strange policy from management.
