- Tim (6/5): Disappointing. The hotel was booked for our 40th anniversary and did not live up to expectations - A good central location, very pleasant staff. The room was small for the price, very limited storage space (ok for single night, not for more). The restaurant was closed throughout, the continental breakfast was limited and the bar offering was also limited. We were advised during our stay that the hotel was in the middle of a change of ownership - this should have been advised before arrival and the lack of offerings should have been reflected in the price.

Room was comfortable with tea & coffee facilities but the teacups were small, maybe mugs would have been better and the only decaff coffee was instant rather than pods for the Nespresso machine. No major dislikes.

- raecheld2026 (10/5): Optimal location, beautiful hotel, excellent service! - We had a lovely experience in Dublin for a simple overnight trip where we needed to be near the Temple Bar area for a specific event. This hotel is so perfectly located we will absolutely be booking again in the future! The interior was spotless and beautiful, the lighting warm and inviting and the bed so comfortable. Nearby are tons of shops and event locations; Oriel was quick to point out specific spots we might like after asking just a few questions. So easy to check in and check out, and 50% off parking at the St. Stephen's Green car park just next door. Literally couldn't ask for a better experience overall. Would highly recommend to others looking for a pleasant and easy stay in Dublin no matter the occasion.

He made good recommendations while we were ordering cocktails. He made us some great drinks. The Old Fashioned was delicious. I will be back for another drink.

Small hotel, but styled well throughout. Really nice bar too. - Special shoutout to Oriel, who went above and beyond, recommending places to go, and sorting us with bag storage and a toothbrush.
- 170riccib (6/5): It's alright but not okay - Location-wise, it is good if you plan to go shopping in Grafton street. The room that we checked in was clean and enough space to walk around. The shower was very good although their sink was clogged and water drained very slowly. The downside was the pillows - very stiff, hard and not so comfortable. We had a stiff neck and body aches after a night of discomfort. Luckily we only booked for one night. We should have asked for more comfortable pillows but we did not bother as we came back late at night. The receptionist's humor was not that funny as well. I was expecting more polite and accommodating but the humour is a borderline of sarcastism and funny. If you were in a bad mood, you would not get the joke. And he did not help on giving discount to a carpark 4mins away from their hotel.

This was my second time staying and I cannot recommend it enough! Got to know receptionist Oriel! He was so lovely and helpful in giving recommendations. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and well taken care of!
- davidsR2850YW (10/5): A beautiful hotel close to "downtown" Dublin - We loved this little hotel. Our room was a good size and came with a firm mattress (and four firm pillows -- more about that in a sec). Everything felt clean and fresh. There was a nice-size TV on the wall, but we didn't use it till late in our stay because we were having so much fun in town; when we did try it out, we found a few good shows and news programs, but there weren't many options like Netflix (where you can put in your account info and watch as you would at home) -- at least, if there were such options, we didn't find them (or care, for that matter). The shower is fantastic, and there were useful amenities on hand in case you forgot your shaving cream (as I did!). Our room didn't have a good view, but as noted, we were barely there, so a nice view would have been wasted on us. We did get a nice amount of fresh air and light, so we were happy. We paid for the daily breakfast, and it was worth it! Delicious foods of all sorts, plus tea or coffee. The wait staff was lovely. Finally, it's worth noting that the décor is outstanding, as befits the name of the hotel. There are artistic touches all throughout the hotel. We would definitely return!

- Kirsten (4/5): Wouldn't book again due to very disappointing check-in experience which impacted the whole stay. - Good location, nice hotel rooms though bathrooms quite tight. Very poor check-in experience waiting 20 minutes for someone to come. I even phoned the hotel while standing in reception to try to get someone to the desk but that didn't work either. When someone did arrive, there was no apology at all. If there had been an apology, although it would not have taken away from the negative experience it would have lessened the disappointing experience. Fairly mediocre breakfast too.

Oriel welcomed us warmly and said he had a note of our call earlier in the week asking for an early check in. After guaranteeing us this would be possible, he spent several minutes with us recommending some local attractions. Our room was quiet and comfortable and very centrally located. Very happy with our choice!

- carolynmU6865JT (6/5): Female travelers beware - Hotel was fine, but had a very disconcerting experience with a male hotel employee that made us feel very unsafe during our stay. My friend and I (both mid 30s women) stayed at Arthaus in March 2026. The first night of our stay (March 5), we got back to the hotel shortly after midnight. The front door was locked, and the man behind the desk was joking around about not opening the door for us from behind the locked door. Eventually he did let us in, and I said "That wasn't funny" to him as we walked towards the elevators (we were tired, it was near freezing outside, we just wanted to get to our room without a hassle). Once I said that he got up from the desk and followed us to the elevator, got in with us, rode up to our floor, and followed us to our room. We hurried into our room and slammed the door behind us, both very shaken up. The door didn't have a deadbolt either, so a hotel employee with a key could have entered. My mom gave me a door stopper years ago "for safety" that I've laughingly kept in my bag ever since. Staying here was the first time I've used it. The other employees we encountered were lovely, but this man working the night shift really freaked us out.

Having the bar next door is a nice touch but it would have been better if it served food in the evening. We didn't have breakfast there, as there were lots of cafes within a short walk. Overall a great base for Dublin.

- F6364TMcraigl (10/5): Dublins hidden gem - Location is spot on, short walks to all the best places. Hotel has a lovely vide that reflects its modern but very stylish design. Omg the rooms are beautiful, bed is so comfortable, shower was the BEST I have ever had. So much room to relax and just chill. Amazing place and great value - staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Oriel and Yasshas who made my stay memorable and would definitely come back.

- 835conallm (10/5): brilliant hotel - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, small hotel, nice clean rooms, reasonably priced for how central it is. the Location is great. Staff were amazing, I asked for some extras such as flowers as it was a special occasion and they could not have been more helpful.

Also, it would be nice to have a self-serving coffee and tea station rather than having to ask the staff every time. Breakfast overall was still decent though.

- Juan (8/5): If you want a comfortable stylish place, a bit off the main area, but short walk to all. - The room was good, updated, stylish and clean. It was relativity quiet and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and advice for our short stay. bed was very comfortable. it was located in a commercial area, on a busy street. But it was a short walk to the areas that were of interest. But that made it quite in the evening, whichI we liked.

- Celine (8/5): Très bon hôtel du centre-ville - L’emplacement situé au centre ville, tout se fait à pied. Le passage est peu fréquenté. Le personnel est très agréable et surtout à l’écoute. Le lit est très confortable et la douche aussi. Même si les produits du petit déjeuner sont frais, il manquait la possibilité d’avoir des œufs par exemple. C’est dommage. Aussi dans les chambres il faudrait offrir la possibilité d’avoir des chaussons et les fenêtres devraient être doublées pour éviter d’entendre le bruit de la rue.
