The staff was lovely and emailed us when the room became available, several hours before the advertised time. They were super helpful about directions, calling cabs, and giving recommendations. H10 Raco de Pi is located in the heart of the Gothic area of Barcelona and I don’t think you could ask for a better location. The hotel is charming and walking distance to so much. The most wonderful part of this hotel is the incredible staff. In particular Laia and Daniel. I consider them my hosts- they were so kind, welcoming and helpful. I had ideas of what we should do and they fine tuned my trip and told me the best ways to enjoy my experiences- from restaurants, Flamenco show, transportation choices, and tickets to all the things. We would not have had such a great trip without them. Thank you Laia and Daniel!

Special mention for the unfailingly polite and helpful staff, now familiar faces to us. Medita and Ritchel made each morning’s breakfast special and we are grateful. Request a room away from the street if you are a light sleeper.

The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to from Plaza Cataluyna and the staff were accommodating. We were "upgraded" to a triple room but in reality they gave us an attic room with no natural light and a hatch to open for ventilation. The room was extremely stuffy and hot and at times uncomfortable. Building works are going on but it looks like they will be completed soon.

Currently under construction. - To access this nice little hotel, you will need to be dropped off and walk into the neighborhood for a couple minutes as the streets around it are pedestrian only (except for service vehicles, etc.) Our family had three rooms on the fourth floor during the Christmas season, and it served us well. The hotel is renovating so the dining area is closed off, and construction sounds begun at 9 am or later which was completely reasonable imo. The location for a group of first timers to Barcelona was excellent. It was easy to access morning coffee and pastries, la rambla, the boqueria, the metro, Christmas markets, local atisan market, and several plaças within footsteps- it felt like access to everything was no more than ten minutes away. The helpful staff were able to schedule taxis for our large group to pick up at the front door of the hotel, but I can't imagine this is possible in the high tourist season.
- Kiznaidy (10/5): Annual Birthday weekend away in this Little gem of a hotel! - We stayed here for a long weekend and I can tell you that this little hotel is a gem. The Location is ideal for all the sights and the staff made it such a lovely stay away. I have to give a special mention to the two lads on reception Joan and Raymond they’re so helpful and friendly. Also a special mention to the two ladies at breakfast Mamen and Ritchel also very friendly and the breakfast was lovely, a great start to the day. If we ever get back to Barcelona this would be my choice of hotel.
- kcr457 (10/5): Our home away from home. - This was our second stay at this small and perfectly located Barcelona hotel, and we have booked it for a return visit next year. It is just close enough to the hub bub of Las Ramblas, but still on a quiet street away from the madding crowd in the Bari Gothic neighborhood. The metro is close by, as are a variety of nice restaurants and cafes. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was generous and beautifully served.

On a narrow street in the Barri Gotic, it is near great restaurants, the ancient and medieval sights around the Cathedral, and is a short walk to the opera house and the Liceu metro stop. In spite of the central location it is perfectly quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The ladies working in the breakfast room (Medita and Ritchel) were wonderful as were the people at the front desk. Very clean and price quite reasonable. My highest recommendation.

We were offered a fabulously renovated room with a huge bed, fantastic shower, excellent quality. All areas were clean and well presented. The hotel is in an excellent location for discovering the Barcelona center on foot.
- PaulandJillS (8/5): Blazing Barcelona - Raco Del Pi - We visited the H10 Raco Del Pi early November to miss the crowds and the really hot weather. However we were given some amazing autumn temperatures and even at this time of year, Barcelona is still very well visited. On arrival we were greeted by a very professional reception team, together with a glass of Cava. Very well versed in dealing with first time visitors and relieving us of the obligatory Tourist Tax, we were on our way up to the third floor and our double room, very quickly. The room was very well presented, clean and neatly laid out. A mini bar, safe and Tv (but not very smart one) were some of the first things noticed. The ensuite looked very good too, complete with a Bidet. The bed was very comfortable and the room perfectly sized for a base from which to explore Barcelona. With the Hotel in the Gothic quarter, with its narrow streets and tall 3-4 storey properties, we found ourselves over looking a very small gated side street. Due to the warm weather we found the window was best left open to allow a comfortable nights sleep. With the Hotel being very well cited it was a great place to explore all parts of Barcelona. We must point out at this point that we are English and come with our normal English expectations. The breakfast bar offered a substantial continental style of breakfast. With the addition of cooked eggs in the form of fried, scrambled or omelette. But this was good enough to set us up for a full day of exploring and with the many eateries in the city, allowed us to make the most of the Spanish and Catalonian cuisine. Hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free coffee and pastries available during the afternoon. A couple of niggles : the city location and architecture of the buildings does lend itself to noisy nights, and because we left the window open this didn't aid sleep. Also the fan in the bathroom was on all the time (not just when the light goes on) and to be fair we didn't check if this was by design but in the night it did interfere with our sleeping, we found that if we closed the window, and removed the room card from the "plug" the electric turned off after a couple of minutes and this solved both the problems. These are mentioned in no way to put you off but more to inform you of how to easily over come little niggles. Paul and Jill
- Evienicol (10/5): Perfect location and great staff! - This hotel is perfectly situated to explore Barcelona and the staff were all so pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a newly renovated room but unfortunately there was a problem with our shower drain and our bathroom flooded as a result. Maintenance were up to fix the problem right away and we had no further issues. Thank you to Medita and Mamen for great breakfast service and helping me practise my Spanish!

The front desk staff was very professional and courteous. I am acknowledging Raymond who worked the front desk. He went above and beyond assisting us with getting out transportation from the hotel to the Barcelona pier.He spent a great deal of time on this issue and ultimately helped us find alternate transportation The hotel is in the Gothic district of Barcelona. There is easy access to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again

- beth4166 (10/5): Location can’t be beat! - We stayed for 4 nights/5 days. it’s a small hotel ~30 rooms with very friendly staff and an outstanding location!!! - right in the heart of old town Barri Gothic. I would rate 4.5 if I could only because our room – 303- was smaller than what I expected from the pictures (I think we had the smallest of the Classic Barcelona room category from peeling into others) but not atypical for Europe and it had a king size bed; our room overlooked Carrer de Pi –quaint street with lots of shops and cafes/bars just down from a cute square; They greeted us with a glass of Cava (champagne). The room had a mini bar; blanket; safe; bidet, no washclothes (but can ask for at reception unlike other hotels so that was nice). There wasn’t a dresser in the room so we didn’t unpack which would have been preferred but there was a closet. We paid for breakfast to be included with our room because it’s just easier in the morning than having to make decisions. we love eggs and they made us fried eggs and scrambled eggs cooked to order with cooked tomato and mushrooms slices on the side. We also sampled the pastries and fruits and yogurt. It was a nice way to start each day. The hotel was quiet at night for sleeping even though there was a huge annual festival going on all week (La Merce) and we are light sleepers; good tapas places recommended by Rick Steve’s just a few steps from the hotel in a cute little square or by the BCN catherdral (Bilboa) or heading towards Las Ramblas (Taverna); the location of hotel can’t be beat if you want to explore any parts of old town. The train station is just s 2 minute walk to Las Ramblas. I joined the rewards program to get a discount on the room. We arrived at noon and our room was ready so that was also nice after a long flight. They had arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport so that it would be allowed to drop us a the door as it’s a pedestrian street but there was a mix up with the taxi service so we grabbed a taxi but it had to drop us 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. We did have to roll suitcase over cobblestone but it wasn’t bad (and We have experienced bad!) – totally worth it to stay in that area. You can also catch an airport bus but then it’s a 12-15 minute walk on cobblestone and the little streets can be confusing so I wouldn’t recommend unless you only have a backpack and need to to save money. On our last day we were also able to store our luggage as we didn’t fly out until 8pm and they called a taxi to pick us up at the hotel door. We really enjoyed our stay! A large chain hotel perhaps would have had a few more comforts but it wouldn’t have been in this location and we were in Spain for the cultural experience.

The room had comfortable beds and the bathroom shower was delightful. A minor problem with the shower hose was replaced promptly. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were warm and courteous. The front desk staff were amazingly informative and helpful. The hotel's location is the Gothic section of Barcelona and easy walking to sights, shopping and dining. The hotel is quiet and the AC worked flawlessly. Very good value for the price.

- Kimberly (10/5): - Room wasn’t as clean as I expected. There was a wet towel under the sink and dried conditioner drips on the bottle in the shower. But, I did not report it nor would that stop me from staying here again. The front desk staff were great and very helpful with recommendations. The breakfast staff very attentive and the breakfast was excellent. Location is perfect for activities in and close to the gothic quarter.

- heatherbV5555ND (10/5): Brilliant hotel. - Fantastic hotel. Excellent location. I went with a girlfriend and the twin room was a good size with really comfy beds. Large bathroom. Very clean. We loved it. Good size minibar which had room for personal items (water/wine!). We were on the first floor and on the level of the open quadrant where we enjoyed our complimentary tea/coffee and had a glass of wine before heading out. Very friendly and helpful reception staff, and all other staff were friendly too. Highly recommend this hotel.

It is a small boutique hotel located in the heart of the old city, accessible by taxi or walking, close to major points of interest in the Gothic Quarter, several restaurants nearby. Noise of the narrow streets was not a problem at night. All staff very friendly and helpful, particularly the front desk staff, both prior and during our stay. Room very clean and tidy. Champagne and fruit was an unexpected treat at the front desk. Welcome chocolates and the afternoon room snacks were delicious. Breakfast was reasonably priced, offered both hot and cold options. Able to provide GF options which was greatly appreciated! 5/5 stars!!

Close to the Ramblas and easy to get around on foot or via the Metro. Stayed for 2 nights prior to a cruise. Nice big room with a balcony, very clean, big comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet - lovely and fresh, great range of hot and cold food with eggs cooked freshly. Great service from Hamen and Aitchel in the restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely make this our go to hotel now for any short stays over in Barcelona

I can honestly say that this was our finest hotel stay to date. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the staff were extremely courteous, friendly and very helpful. In particular, we had the pleasure of dealing with Laia at reception. What an ambassador for both the hotel and H10 group in general. She was by far the friendliest and most helpful hotel employee we have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble, and went out her way to suggest places of interest to visit along with directions, tips etc. Thanks Laia and because of your service we will be looking for an H10 hotel wherever we may visit next. H10, whatever you are paying this star employee it's not enough.😀

Étant claustrophobe, la taille de la chambre est pour moi très importante : j’avais réservé une chambre annoncée à 20 m², mais sur place elle faisait à peine 15 m² ce qui ne correspond pas du tout à la description. Pour le prix, ce n’est pas acceptable. De plus, notre chambre donnait sur une ruelle où, dès 6h du matin, les poubelles étaient déchargées : énormément de bruit. Enfin, les chambres ne sont pas rafraîchies et mériteraient une vraie rénovation.
- Suefromcali (10/5): The H10 Raco Del Pi is a fabulous choice! - Our 3-night stay at this lovely hotel was wonderful! It was a sanctuary in the bustling Barrio Gotic city centre. The location makes many of the attractions walkable, including the amazing Barcelona Cathedral. Our room & king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and all was spotless. We enjoyed the tasty hot and cold breakfast selections each morning! Laia and Roberto of staff were exceptional in assisting us with all our questions and arranged transportation services several times. They were both so friendly and knowledgeable! I highly recommend the H10 Racó Del Pi for your stay in Barcelona!

We stayed for three nights, stored our large pieces of luggage for three days while we went to Madrid, then returned for one more night. The room was nice, typically small but clean and comfortable. The location is great and the area, safe, lots of good places to eat and full of interesting sites but quiet for a good nights' sleep. The highlight of our stay was the friendly, welcoming staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. The service was excellent, warm and always accommodating.

The room was well equipped with everything we needed including toothbrush, toothpaste and decent shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Plus, the staff, accommodation and finishing touches make it so welcoming. Things like welcome drink on arrival, biscuits in the room every afternoon and free coffee/tea in the afternoon just added an extra touch and we got to speak to some lovely guests to share our experiences. You would think that it would be noisy with its location, but it wasn’t - opening our doors to the street below felt magical and very special. I don’t believe this will be our only stay at this hotel…

The room we stayed in was great big bathroom comfortable bed ,cleaned every day.Lovely toiletries too. We had breakfast every day and agree with another reviewer the ladies who greet you in the morning are always friendly and polite . Lots of choice, eggs, fruit, cereal and pastries. A mention for the staff on reception they were all so helpful with any questions we had and always greeted us with a smile whatever time of the day a credit to the hotel. Thoroughly recommended

We were greeted each day by the friendly reception staff who helped us with recommendations and helped plan our journey each day. The reception staff gave us complimentary Prosecco each day which was a lovely touch after a day exploring. The lobby had a drink station with water, pastries and hot beverages. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The range of breakfast items was great and a particular mention to Mamen and Ritchel who looked after us each morning. The location is the best - 5 minutes from La Rambla and the cathedral. I would definitely stay again Thanks for making the stay great

- adamwL2493EY (10/5): A little gem - A gem of a stay in a quaint location. Great ease of access to some central sights and attractions. Staff were welcoming and helpful, especially the breakfast team with fabulous Spanish eggs and crispy bacon mmmmmmm. We paid a little extra for a balcony room and got two of them!! Our 4 nights were fab and the walk down to the marina was even doable. Some great little bars in the adjacent squares especially Taller de Tapas! Great food 😁
