Guest Reviews
- Chiara (8/5): - Nice big bedroom for family with 2 kids!
- Joshua (10/5): - Great location, close to metro station. Staff was very kind guiding us and storing our luggage.
- Elliot (10/5): - Reviews are old and hotel is pretty nice fridge didnt work but other than that it was clean and staff was really nice
- Louis (8/5): - Great location, within walking distance to train station.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice - very nice stay. professional staff.
- Airi (10/5): - The location was excellent and all major spots were within walking distance.
The staff was very helpful and gave us detailed information on what to see and do in Florence. I would use them again when visiting Florence.
- Lilia (6/5): - The staff were very friendly, and hotel was very clean. AC worked fine. The hotel, however, is very dilapidated. It is a 2-star hotel at best.
- Katia (8/5): - Ragazzi alla reception eccellente. Camera ok.
- kamran (8/5): - 👌
- Nevin (10/5): - Front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. Room is large, quite modern, very comfortable.
- Rosana (8/5): Excelente hotel - Excelente hotel!
- Irina (2/5): Never again - Just a horrible place with dirty old rooms and filthy bathrooms.
- Michael (8/5): - Stayed here during a road trip through northern italy. Was brief but we enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast was not great but edible.
- James P (6/5): Family stay - Was an interesting stay. We had 4 children, one infant, and four adults in two rooms. They hotel had a water issue that was understandable . The estimates of time till completion was a little frustrating with getting kids bathed. Was a warm day out and thought A/C would be available in the rooms but they had been turned off for the season. Opened windows and over night it did cool off.
Bed could be freshened up as frames needed new boards and pillows need to be replaced. Nice bedding and towels. Great location and Florence is still one of our favorite cities.
Staff was amazing and willing to help with anything.
- Hilda (8/5): Hotel sencillo excelente ubicación - El hotel sencillo, bien ubicado y con personal dispuesto a ayudar siempre.
- Naiara (6/5): - Jag fick bytta rum 2 gånger, men personal var mycket häjlpsam.
- Kellie (8/5): Hotel Argentina Curtatone - The hotel was in a great location. The rooms were small-ish and the ac didn’t work too well; however, I loved the hotel because of the excellent service. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was not amazing but it was very comfortable after a long day of walking. Light in bathroom didn’t properly work and few other faults with the room but overall we were very happy with our stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The air conditioning didn’t work so we had to open the window which didn’t help; was extremely hot and uncomfortable. Website said it had laundry facilities which we were advised we had to take our laundry to a laundromat. Room had no refrigerator and online pictures didn’t look like the actual place. Left the hotel tired and annoyed that we spent so much for a bad stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - literally no amenities. There were mosquitoes and towels were not changed for 3 days
- Verified traveler (2/5): - First, we got a small, dark room, not what was advertised on web. After we moved to another larger dark room with similar bads as on the pictures advertised. We're not able to open windows as sewage smell was so strong from the back yard that you can throw out. The air conditioner or fan was not turned on yet and the room was stuffy, smelly and dark. I regret much staying there, one of the worst experiences of traveling.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, near more popular attractions and restaurants. Staff very polite and helpful. Still renovating but my room was great, full renovated, clean, spacious and quiet. Nice place to stay in Florence Carlos sendon and family
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Un altro hotel rispetto a quello delle foto.
Fluxo confuso, reformas mal feitas, desconforto do cliente.
In generale bello e comodo
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great area - close to touristy parts of the city but also just out of it to feel like a local scene. Modern and clean.
- Frédéric (2/5): A fuir !
No recomiendo . No vveria
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never staying there again. - In all honesty, I don't think I have ever stayed in a more uncomfortable, dirty hotel in my life.
No phone in the room, no hot water in the shower, furniture was beaten up, dust everywhere, missing a shutter on the window, pillows were flat and uncomfortable, blankets were used and disgusting, door would not lock when I left and had to wait about 5 minutes to make sure it locked - poor security, over-priced.
- Arturo (6/5): Buena ubicación a excelente costo. - Hotel familiar
Incluye bufete aunque no es muy bueno
- Milton (10/5): Great hotel for the price! - We were only in Florence for one night, but the stay was great. The hotel was within walking distance of the train station, which was our mode of transportation. When we arrived at the hotel, the guy at the reception gave us a map and told us exactly where everything was and the best way, and times, to see everything. It was great and definitely helpful. The room was also nice, didn't have much to complain about. Great hotel for the price!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - NO A/C. ONE FLAT PILLOW PER PERSON. NO EXTRAS IN ENTIRE HOTEL. NO HELP WHEN ASKED OR PROMISED.
- Emily (6/5): Not bad to stay for a night - Greeted by a pleasant staff. But when i booked its says its a city view room but all we can see on our window is the neigbouring buildings walls and windows too. Filthy room and needs new wall paint. It was very hot in italy but the room aircon is not cold enough. Has a very small old lift that only 2 persons can fit it. Bathroom needs cleaning and the shower is too low to have a comfy shower
- Verified traveler (2/5): WHATEVER YOU DO...DONT STAY HERE!!!!! - This place was the absolute worse. People eating salami at the lobby and the lobby looked like an abandoned building! Elevator was old and unsafe to get to our room had to go through the breakfast lounge and the best part...vomit (hopefully) stains on the carpet all around the hotel! Door locked didn’t work and door was hard to close! Staff super rude. Has to book a last minute hotel because this place was an absolute nightmare
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Broken bathroom door, refregiator was not working, room phone was not available and shower floor was very sleepry.
- M (2/5): It sucks! Smells like sewer! - Do not go even if youre a budget traveller! For the price its worth nothing. Rooms arent fit to even be rented out! Noise from the streets, the entire hotel building stinks!
- David (6/5): - Hotel was under construction there was hammering at 8 am the room also had the worst shower I have ever seen location is nice that's only thing this hotel has going on
- Emily (10/5): Belated honeymoon - Very helpful front of staff helping to get to all local tourist locations. Rooms were clean and breakfast was enjoyable. Beds though are 2 single on top of double base, slightly annoying but still comfortable. Good location and easy to eat to from train station.
- Cheryl (4/5): Small, uncomfortable - The room was closet size. The bed was smaller than double. Right on a noisy street. The air conditioner had a remote, but it was the wrong one. When we finally got the right one, we had to use trial and error to to get it to work. The room was not worth what we paid a night. We found at arrival that the room charge was actually less than what we paid through orbitz. The one highlight was the staff was very accommodating. If you are traveling alone and want cheap close to train station, then it's OK. Otherwise, find another place.
- Valerie (2/5): Great staff but shabby room - No glass window in the room, only wooden/blackout one. Could not open the shutters to get some daylight as outside scaffolding was blocking everything. Builders come between 7.30-7.45am so could not get a lie-in if wanted to.
Bathroom had no door handle on the inside so could not close it properly. Toilets were flushing themselves every few hours. Very noisy.
Bed consisted of 2 single beds pushed together, very squeaky bedframe and very thin mattress.
Paper-thin walls. Room next to the noisy lift.
- Claire (4/5): Good Location - Terribly Management - I booked this hotel with ample time before my trip to Florence but when I got there, there was no evidence of my reservation. I printed my expedia confirmation in case this very thing happened. The man at reception said that the hotel recently changed management and that all expedia online bookings have been going to the old email address and therefore weren't in the system. That's not my fault!!!! After the guy ran around and checked rooms to see if they were clean, he found us a room and put us in. The room was huge but dirty. There was one thin pillow per bed and and old comforter balled up in the wardrobe. The AC did not work. The bathroom was dirty (I showered with flipflops on). And the wifi was terrible! If I wanted to use the wifi, I had to go to the 1st floor and sit in the breakfast area to connect. Did not work in the room.
- norman (4/5): Improvements - My stay was more towards the negative. I wasn't able to open windows due to the fact that dust particles, noise, scaffolds and cement stuck on windows from construction work was over-bearing. In addition, when I reentered the room and needed to settle down, on my last night, I did not have access to the wifi system nor tv. My positive sides were, location was good for places I needed to tour and staff was professional. The price for the room did not meet the standard. The only thing that crossed my mind was the following, I stayed in hotels in Firenze, Italy in the 70's-90's and I paid at that time, 24,000-40,000 Italian Lira which equals roughly, $12-$20. I know the price is not relevant to today's price but, the standard of the hotel room I stayed in should have been much better!
- katharine (4/5): Recent Stay - When we arrived to the hotel the lobby was very nice and refreshing from the heat outside. However, past the lobby it is a let down. The room itself was not in good condition. Phone did not work, there was no remote for the tv or air conditioner unit. The front desk had them and we had to request them. The AC barely worked and the front desk staff had to come up with the remote switch it on and then leave with the remote.
Breakfast was super disappointing because there was barely any options. In the morning all the outlets in the room were not working and when we advised the front staff she said she would call for an electrician but there was nothing they could do for us, which is pretty frustrating when trying to get ready for the day.
I personally would not stay here again especially for the money that we paid and it didn't seem like they even wanted us there to begin with. It was just one thing after another.
- MJ (2/5): Deceiving from a to z - Room with a blank light bulb at the ceiling, and 2 windiws that we cannot open because of construction outside. Gives a very gloomy, dark and unwelcoming room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel close to beautiful canal... - Th hotel was located walking distance from the train station, which is great if you travelled by train. It's also situated around the corner from a beautiful canal that has an abundance of restaurants and cafes. A few things that need improvement is the breakfast (there were some good pasteries but the coffee was out of a machine that maybe needs some changing), the shower in the bathroom was leaking, and the air conditioning in the room was extremely weak and/or not working at all.
The staff was really great and really helpful with directions (gave us a map and circled the best places to eat, what landmarks to see and what forms of transit we can take)
- Haidee (4/5): Bad place to stay - AC in terrible conditions. Awful breakfast. Disgusting bathroom.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bad wifi - I did not have a good wifi signal from my room. I was not able to use FaceTime and missed a lot of messages from home. The staff was not. Dry responsive to this concern eventhough it is promised
- Moosh (2/5): Horrible dungeon rooms and misrepresented - The room we had booked was a quadruple. The pictures the hotel had posted on the Travelocity website for that room are NOTHING like what they gave us. The room we were given had one tiny window, only one ceiling light (that barely lit the room), no bed covering, an air conditioning unit that didn't work. We were in the room for over an hour and it didn't change in temperature at all. We asked the front desk gentlemen to please refund us or switch our room. He said he couldn't. He said we booked a standard room and that's what we got. I showed him our Travelocity confirmation that says quadruple room but he said no, that was a standard room. I then pulled their hotel up on Travelocity's website and showed him the nice, updated room pictures they had posted. he said that's a suite and we booked a standard. Again, I showed him my confirmation that we booked the quadruple and NOT a standard room. We asked him to please do the right thing but he said he can't help us and that's it. He said he'd talk to the "agency" on Monday (whoever that is). We called Travelocity and they tried to assist but couldn't resolve the matter at that time. We booked another hotel on Travelocity and left. Now we are back in the states and trying to settle this matter. We booked one room but were given a much cheaper and worse room. In fact, the room we were given isn't in any of their pictures on Travelocity. We were lied to, cheated and misguided. I've NEVER had this happen before.
- Verified traveler (6/5): NOT Hotel Curtatone - Hotel Argentina!!?? - Reasonable stay but hotel is nothing like the photos & definitely not worth the price we paid! Great location near centre of Florence & train station and very close to the river BUT the hotel is not even called Hotel Curtatone so from the start we had issues with finding the correct hotel!! We found Via Curtatone easily but the hotel sign is Hotel Argentina??!! On arrival at 10PM after a flight & train journey, reception staff could not at first find our Hotels.com booking & we spent an anxious time waiting to see if we even had a room booked!? Then we had a problem with only one door key & had to be let in by staff but this was later resolved. The rooms were dated (1980s style) and very small - not at all like photos on Hotels.com or on hotels own website - they were described as deluxe triples??? Nothing deluxe about these rooms at all. The shower in one room did not work well & the shower door did not close fully with water therefore leaking onto bathroom floor. The balcony door in the other room had no handle & therefore no lock - luckily we were on the 1st floor! The inclusive breakfast was also very poor quality & not available until 7.30 am. Very limited choice & poor quality processed foods. All in all we had a great trip to Florence but this had nothing to do with the hotel - would not recommend.
- Steven (8/5): - Very friendly staff. They were very welcoming and friendly when passing reception.
The room was comfortable although a little worn. The air conditioning wasn't very strong but this did not lead to too many issues - but don't expect a cool room.
- claudia (2/5): Whole hotel is on first floor and noisy and far - Very noisy, and it is a long walk to the Center. Breakfast of poor quality, especially the undrinkable orange juice. One star experience max!
