Guest Reviews
- Ahmed (10/5): - Great stay so close to metro station and mall
- Mikus (2/5): Non refundable - I did not travel so non refundable room losses. And rats are running there in corridors from my previous visit.
- Charles (8/5): - Regent Palace is a good basic INDIAN driven hotel. Beef was non existent! Many Indian dishes served at breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff was willing but English was a MAJOR issue. Room was adequate but worn. Pool DOES NOT EXIST. I did stay there a month on business and the best thing was the happy hour which was all day!
- Meoathsham (10/5): - Good I like it
- siva kumar (6/5): - Hotel cleanliness and spa
- Ujager (4/5): - Vary bad service bathroom is very bad
- Gurjot (10/5): - Awesome
- Anton (2/5): - Terrible experience. Noise from the club, mold in the bathroom. Hotel is in need of total renovation.
- Ali (6/5): Next time. Maybe not - Very old and run down hotel. Hard to drive in but easy access to walk in. Front or back has roads with traffic at 3am. Bathroom needs lots of work. Of course night club open till 4am with inappropriately dressed female.
Traveling with wife and kids , get them inside early
- Vikki (4/5): - Not recommended due to hygiene. I saw a rat running in the corridor and small cockroach in my room. Staffs are friendly, room service food is good. Conveniently located at an interchange metro station.
- Gary (2/5): - Room was on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately there are 5 night clubs on the ground floor and the dance music was very loud in the room we had
- Abdul Salam (4/5): - V bad experience very noisy horible break fast the price and priorities are different for everyone I will never recommend to anyone locally more hotels in same areas are more better
- khozema (8/5): - Had a leaky toilet and a hallway light taht did not work. The staff fixed the leaky toilet after several days and the light was never fixed. The location is convenient, but also loud as there are bars downstairs.
- RENATO (8/5): - Like location
- Jagadish (4/5): Hotel with great location, but lacking service - Extremely noisy... loud music (from night club) can be heard in the room. So sleepless nights
Poor breakfast service.
No telephone responses to front desk.
- HAYAT UL (4/5): - A long list of complain but in short, A lot to do at this Hotel, this one requires a complete renovation. Location is excellent for visitors.
- asif (2/5): - Worst hotel i ever stayed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Couples not allowed, only with marriage documents - If you're coming from a Westernized country do not stay here. Couples will not be allowed to stay. They will charge 150 extra per night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Excellent location, very close to Burjuman metro station.
Awful breakfast, quality and selection.
Loud music every day till 3am.
- John (4/5): - I would NOT recommend this Hotel mainly due to the club music going on until 3pm EVERY day of the week, kept me awake some nights. Moved rooms 3 times in 5 nights. Manager didnt keep his promise to get me a room without noise. They say they are dealing with this but not sure if i believe this.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Renovated as soon as possible, rooms to old, bathroom too old
- Jalil (2/5): - It’s a terrible place. Just don’t go there. Dirty property and a bad staff
- shahab (2/5): - At night comes a lot of noise from the dancing room belong the regent palace hotel, you could not sleep just for an hour
- TANZEEM (8/5): Nice average comfortable hotel - Nice location , choice of restaurants near by
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Found Cockroaches in room. Had to always ask for standard items in room toilet paper/towels door chain, high level of mould damp smell, noise level is very high from hotel, expect to sleep from 3am
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fine Location but Poor Services (Bad Wi-Fi) - It was a business trip. Location was good, nearby to metro and mall. Hotel though is bit congested , rooms were clean. Wifi was horrible , I could not access mails. Breakfast was OK , though not vast but acceptable.
- Mehboob (2/5): Worst stay. - Very uncomfortable too noisy. (Music all night long)
And not worth staying.
Very arrogant receiptionest.
Pathetic stay.
Never recommend this to anyone.
- Yusha (4/5): - Making a mistake for not adding my niece on the list of guests they charged me twice the amount that you would originally book. Its like booking another room but giving you just one room. They dont honor/stick with the reservation that you made. I requested a twin bed room, when i checked in they gave me a king size bed room instead. I attempted to tell the hotel concierge that greedily charged me for two rooms for my whole stay that i reserved a twin bed room and not the room he gave me and he said. It's okay, we will provide you with an extra bed (portable bed) very uncomfortable. That's not the point, i made reservation and make sure you honored it. Mind you that i had sent them my itinerary so they know im coming in late in advance. Rooms has wholes on the floor and tub need replacement, mediocre toilet flushes. Towels stinks, pillows are hard as rock very uncomfortable. One good thing with this is the location. They just need to update their hotel
- Raj (8/5): - This is an old property, with bathroom design that was popular in 90's. In the downstairs toilet that I used when I arrived early at the hotel and was waiting for check in, I was greeted by a cockroach! Not exactly a good start to a hotel stay! The downstairs toilet was filthy throughout my stay there. The air con was working fabulously and the room had all the things you would expect including a small fridge, but no 'bar fridge' which I prefer anyway because we don't generally use it and have to wait for it to be checked when we are checking out. The location was fantastic for old Dubai and we were literally opposite a large mall called the Burjuman Mall and the Metro Station. If you need anything, there is a big Carrefour supermarket right opposite. The day pass for metro, buses and ferries included cost Dhs 22 each and we found that a good way to explore as we didn't want to go on a pre-booked tour...only down side is that there can be a lot of walking involved. The hotel had 4 different clubs, including a Bollywood Dance Bar, Live music bar and Indian music live singers and a Phillipino Club. Couldn't find any place like a disco anywhere nearby. I was later told by friends that these type of places are more near Jumaira Beach. Other advantages for this place is that it is close to the Gold Souk and Shopping. Taxi to and from Airport costs approx Dhs 50.
- Mohammad (10/5): - Good staff and location and friendly staff nice big rooms only thing breakfast is not great.other than that good hotel with reception staff very helpfull
- NAJMA (6/5): - The location of the hotel was excellent, within walking distance of Burjuman Mall, Meena Bazaar and the Metro. The music from the night clubs was very loud and went on till early hours of the morning.
- CanadianinDubai (6/5): - Location is perfect. 2 minute walk to the metro and bus stations. Opposite to a big mall and Carrefour.
Night club on the ground floor was too noisy till after 2 am. People were shouting in the hallway after midnight, you literally feel you landed in Bombay not Dubai. Found a cockroach first night coming out of the mini bar. Complained so they moved me to a “cleaner” room. Next day I found a small cockroach on the bed linen. I was disgusted and wanted a refund to move to another hotel but they said booking was done online and it was not possible. They offered to move me to a suite but it was so stuffy and seemed to be closed for a long time. Finally spent the last 3 nights of my 5 day stay in a room with no insects. Manager sent me a fruit basket and was very apologetic.
- GBENGA (6/5): - Even though I booked an early book in, they kept me for over 4 hours day
- Noel (2/5): Bad Experiance - Never visit this hotel. Old property not maintained. Parking very poor. Noise from clubs. Can't sleep properly. Flush tanks do not work properly.
Very rude staff. Overal a very very bad experiance. Doubt the four star rating.
- Pat (8/5): Close to Airport and Metro. - The best feature is the convenient location. It's on a main boulevard, so it's easy to get a taxi, and the Metro is 100 yards away. That's appreciated in a city where everything is spread out and one has to walk a lot. My room was spacious, with tasteful decor. As in most locations in this part of the world, the five-times-a-day call to prayer wakeup service is operational. The local neighborhood is no selection-rich for dining and shopping, but the location is great as headquarters from which to roam. I enjoyed my stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Helpful and cooperative staff! Very good service Excellent location of the property close to metro making it convenient to move around Dubai. Very busy area with taxis available at any time!
- Fahmida (8/5): Great Stay - Good hotel for the price. Friendly staff. Great area if you don’t want the downtown life
- Ania (2/5): Horrible experience. - I will like to inform you that i use this app frecuently and until yesterday i was realy pleased with the service and the quality and kindness of the company. But from yesterday i didn't experience what i was expecting. Actually i made a booking for another hotel but there was a misunderstanding about our booking, when we went to the hotel to do the check in the hotel told us that the booking was cancelled and the hotel was full.I didnt get any notificatiin about it and then i called to Hotels.com and a person from your company relocated me here in this one. I asked the person to check for me a hotel with the same facilities that I was paying for in the previous one and smoking room. When we went to the hotel we realised that the level of the hotel wasent what we were expecting. The room smells bad and old .No towels in the washroom, the service very poor; in the breakfast today no variety of food.Only Indian food.I asked for an omelet with cheese and there weren't cheese available and the bread toaster broken. The bufet very poor Fornitures in the hotel are very old and not repared properly and is very difficult to sleep in the night cause the noise from the night club that belongs the hotel. The bed is not confortable at all and in general the level is very low compare to the hotels that I used to book with 4 stars with your webside. This was my husbands gift for new year and I am wishing to go home better than stay here just that the money is already paid.
- Rami (4/5): Weak water - Water was very weak at the room
- Manickaraj (2/5): Very Very Very WORST CLASS hotel in Dubai - stay is for Business. Strongly not recommend this Regent Palace Hotel for any type of guests to stay, worst service, dirty maintenance, no cleanliness, only surrounding areas is good to choose this hotel, otherwise, worst in class.
- FoFo (8/5): - I only stayed for one night. The hotel location is convenient. It is opposite to Burjuman center and very close to the metro station. The room was spacious and the breakfast was ok. Overall, it was a nice stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Amazed to find out at check-in guests not allowed - Not so good because I was not allowed to have a guest with me.
- RAKESH (10/5): - Very good location , get train connection for any part of city .
prefered for business trip
- Mohammed (8/5): Good - The Hotel’s rooms was very well presented and staff helpful , location was very convenient for our stay in Dubai
- Rachna (8/5): Nice hotel in Bur Dubai - The hotel in nice. Staff is very friendly. Location wise its near to Meena bazaar. Perfect location wise. The breakfast was awesome. Kids enjoyed the dosa station, omlette station and Pav bhaji. There are many restaurants in the hotel. Also many Indian cuisines near it like Jalebiwala, Bikanervala, Kulcha King, Chappan Bhog. There is a place for masala tea nearby - Karak Time. Only thing that needs to be changed is to have some more light. Rooms are fine and nicely decorated. Bathroom condition can be improved. There were some leakages.
But overall the hotel was nice and would recommend to a friend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Stay at Regent Palace - it was amazing. since the front office is not so trained on check-in process, it took more than 30 mins to get the check-in done. Also the hotel has introduced some new policies which is really an overhead for the visitors. Overhead like deposit of AED 200 upon check-in, no visitors is allowed to the room are some of the eg... The wifi was very bad.
- Hasan (6/5): - Hotel was very close to Burjaman station. Staff was very helpful. But rooms were old and need to improve alot. Bathrooms were not good. Toilet wasn’t flushing but they sent a plumber to fix it. Breakfast was pathetic. Never pay more than $60 for this hotel or 55. Only good thing was location.
- Paresh (8/5): - Part of the hotel noisy with loud music till 3am
- Jay (8/5): - Though it look like a traditional hotel. It is located at the centre of Dubai & the Breakfast is delicious.
- Dennis (4/5): Will not recommend to Europeans - Since majority of hotel guests are non European non American, the atmosphere, the food, the TV are just designed and tuned to Indian population, Asian population requirements. In addition, the hotel is old, and dated.
- Navinchandra (10/5): Will stay again - Good hotel, good rooms, good internet and very close to burjuman metro station. Lot of restaurant for food, you can also try Kalpana restaurant in hotel for good indian south indian food. Overall good hotel n this price it was excellent. Recommend to families.
- Rachelle (8/5): Constructive comment - TV channels are limited. Toilet flush is broken (difficulty in flushing due to loose flush). Toothbrush and toothpaste is not free.
But location is near the metro. Accessible around the area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, not clean enough, between 3 and 4 stars hotel. Reasonable price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful - I struggle to accept this is a 4 star hotel. It is dated and unwelcoming. We booked as a Mystery hotel and the experience was so awful we cut our short stay, left after one night and booked into another hotel.
- Aussie (6/5): Stepping back in time - It felt a little like the Best Little Marigold Hotel. Great bar next door that my 22 year old son loved!
- ALI (8/5): Great location, value for money - Its was great stay, the location was good near metro station , different restaurant, burjman mall and carrefour.
Many of tourism tour start from burjman.
The room was comfortable and clean but not soundproof.
The staff was so friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): pretty decent - Served the purpose
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good hotel and location stag are friendly and food is good breakfast and room service
- VINAY (8/5): Super Location, Ideal for Vegetarians - Super Location. Lots of Vegetarian Restaurants in near vicinity, Freindly and helpful staff, Near Metro station and Carrefour Mall and Good rooms. Only small challenges, if you are on 2nd or 3rd floor, it can be noisy at night. If you go higher, the shower pressure is just about ok. I am a regular guest at this hotel and feel that the Breakfast spread is getting weaker every year. The management needs to look at it. Internet speed Good so overall- very satisfied.
- Brian (6/5): Average Hotel - Average hotel that has a good location which is right in front of the Burjuman Mall, which is also near a metro station.
- DEEPAK (8/5): Good place to stay just next to Burjuman Metro Sta - Good place to stay for access to Metro which is just 100 meters from the Hotel.
- degec (6/5): Good location, but overpriced. - Good location, but overpriced. Close to metro station.
Small room, dated bathroom. Noisy bar on ground Floor that one can hear from even on the 4th floor.
Great Friday lunch buffet for a good price, but you can have it without staying there.
- Manickaraj (4/5): - NO HOT WATER, ROOM SERIVCE IS POOR, NO REPLY OVER PHONE WHEN CALLED FOR HOUSE KEEPING, LAUNDRY.
WHILE CHECK IN WORST RESPONSE FROM FRONT DESK
- Jeevaratnam (6/5): - Overall acceptable
- Ranjit (8/5): - I had a good room on the 5th Floor facing Main road. Room was nice and clean but shower area needs updating. Extractor fan did not work. They need to sort out the bath and shower area. Shower was fixed head with no flexibility.
- Nishaat (4/5): Awuful AWFUL Awful! - AWFULL! They assuredly me that music from the nightclub could not be heard from the room, till 3am in the morning loud banging music! The wifi is poor and restricted!
- Santosh (8/5): Pleasant and refreshing experience. - Convenient and pleasant
- Navinchandra (10/5): Excellent location stay - Good location. Good breakfast and near to Metro station which makes life easy in this Dubai traffic.
- Business Trip (10/5): Best location - Excellent location, good rooms and near to burjuman metro station plus good spread of breakfast.
- Tariq (8/5): - Decent hotel. Breakfast was average but overall it was clean and at a good location.
- Haseeb (8/5): Nice - They need better TV channels. TV was boring.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Noisy Hotel - The overall was satisfactory. Hotel is close by metro, however bars downstairs are very noisy. The staff were there but provided little help. The hotel is more cater towards East Indians than to any other culture. Breakfast had little choice but just Indian food. Hotel does have a Indian dance room !!!!
- Alishah (8/5): Nice hotel, centrally located - Pleasing and relaxing experience.
- hasan (4/5): I would rate it at 2 stars only - Smills like smoking everywhere in the hotel, breakfast sucks، you feel you are in India not Dubai.
- Vinay Kumar (6/5): Regent palace Hotel - Hotel overall was good. only they charged twice for breakfast. Booking for breakfast for people done through hotel.com but they say that they will allow for two person only. Hotel.com was cooperative and say they will reimburse additional breakfast cost.
- Gulshan (8/5): Nice hotel close to Burjman Metro. - Nice hotel with 3 lifts for customers. Friendly staff. We had a suite on the 3rd floor with a large bedroom and a fairly big lounge both with TVs and a massive bathroom. The bed was big and very comfortable. old but clean.
Although we left the room soon after breakfast and often coming back late in the evening, we found the room had been properly cleaned and towels etc weren't changed. Attention to detail was missing, may be because we were there for several nights.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff were very good.Arrived early morning at 7am and my room was available. That was great. The staff at the hotel were good and saw to my needs. However the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade.
The bathroom needs to be upgraded and so the furniture in the room.
Anyone with a physical disabilty will have a problem ,since the shower is in the tub.The other issue i had was the noise from the various clubs at night.
- Faiz (8/5): good metro connection and metro station nearby - Its metro connection is superb coz it has both lines staff was cordial n warm specially at reception Nisrin was helpful n gave room of my choice n specification and also considered my request for late check out as i had late evening flight overall it was gud experience staying der
- Marwan (6/5): Good hotel, bad smell though!! - Conveniently located hotel, good service. However, the bathroom is very small, and they should really work on the food smell that fills all the hotel especially in the morning by having proper ventilation systems. Additionally, the free wifi is limited to 2 devices only, I don't understand why, especially if the room occupancy is 2 persons, so 2 devices (mobile + laptop) per person is really essential!!
- Syed Asad (6/5): nice location and comfortable room - the bathroom floor gets wet and water stays there
- Verified traveler (6/5): Central Location - The table tops were not clean. The carpets were tired, though I expect were vacuumed. The bathroom was a little smaller than expected, tight squeeze.
- Richard (8/5): Nice hotel and services. - Had a nice stay.location was great near the train station and near some great shopping places. It's also very near the airport costing only AED 20 from hotel to airport and 45 from airport to hotel. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet at only AED 30 per adult and free for kids below 6. The hotel staff are friendly and additional facilities like the swimming pool and discotheque were great.
- Nichola (8/5): Great stay - Very helpful staff. Close to metro rail and really nice mall. Any issues were addressed quickly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel located centrally. - Great hotel with excellent connections. Shower pressure is quite poor. Excellent like Arion with good metro connectionstation.
- JAYAKEERTHY (10/5): Nice - Nice hotel at the heart of the city & near Burjuman MRT station. The rooms were clean & good service. Variety of dishes for the break fast. Safe place to stay for family & friends.
- V K Gangadharan (8/5): Hotel to stay for value for money - very pleasent
- hamad (6/5): hotel is nice but noisey - i had a bad experience as i was given room 522, i could not sleep till 3 am because of the noise of
the Disco in the ground floor, next day i was moved to room 308, which was little better but still
the Disco noise is disturbing.
it is a nice Hotel but needs to do something about the noise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Conveniently located - Overall experience was good, once we got settled in a clean non-smoking room.
- Anup (6/5): - The room was basic but comfortable. No ironing facilities in the room but can request. Safe was not working. Shower curtain needs cleaning.
- sam (8/5): good - good stay next to everything, good staff, easy access
- Ricardo (8/5): - I love the hotel. Clean, nice, snacks on fridge. Only my problem is the safety of the customers as there are bars at the ground floor which is close to the front desk. One time I came down at the counter to ask some question and there is a intoxicated customer fighting with another fellow that is so scary part especially for guests like us.
- Albert (10/5): Great stay - Great stay
- Megan (2/5): Don't bother - Don't let the word 'palace' in the hotel name fool you. There is nothing palatial about the place. While the pictures make the place look amazing, and at first glance my room was, what they don't tell you is how offensive the hotel is on the rest of your senses. The hotel nightclub remains open until 3am every morning and the bass from the music can be felt heavily in the rooms above. When when you finally do get to sleep, it's on pillows and sheets impregnated with the smell of cigarette smoke. The wifi they advertise so strongly is patchy at best, and you have to retrieve a new access code from reception every 24 hours. The only redeeming feature of the place is its close proximity to Burjaman metro station, hardly a reason to stay there considering just how many hotels there are in Dubai that are also close to metro stations. There is no need for you to put yourself through a stay at The Regent Palace Hotel. I know I won't be doing it again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Deserve to try it - good
- Balasubramanian (10/5): Pleasant stay - It was very pleasant. The hotel is clean and the service was very good. The food was also quite good. I would recommend this hotel.
- abdirizaq (4/5): goood - some of staf are rud
- Will (8/5): Great hotel close to the mall and Metro station. - Great hotel and location. Great hotel close to the mall and Metro station.
- Serah (8/5): Great hotel - It was a very nice stay. Only small complaint is with the restaurant at the mezzanine floor juice glasses missing during breakfast waiters slow to respond even after being informed.
- Fike (6/5): Loud Party in the lobby area! - Stayed there for one night as a transit passenger. Had to catch my onward flight to USA the next morning. Everything was more than I was expecting until I went to bed. Suddenly there was loud music playing downstairs and the deep bass and noise made it impossible to fall asleep. This went on until 3-4 am in the morning.
Unfortunately, I had to get up at 6 am to catch my 14 hour flight back to USA after getting only a couple of hour of sleep. When I brought this whole thing to the attention of the front desk at the time of check out next morning, I was told that there was PARTY going on right in the lobby area of the hotel! What a joke!. They casually apologized and told me that they will assign me a room on the higher floor 'next time'...
- VARUN (10/5): awesome experience - I stayed for 3 nights..it was an awesome experience and everything is reachable by walk...will defintely stay again
