- Ryland (7/5): Just discovered I’ve been charged three times for my stay. Very ameteur management - Great location and very comfortable room in quiet location. The Continental breakfast was poor, limited choice and room soulless. Stay offered as including breakfast and newspaper. Cheekily the breakfast was actually only a continental breakfast and not what one would expect from a five star hotel.

- kirstinvracko (10/5): Socks, Sandals, and a Surprisingly Perfect Stay - We stayed at Threadneedles Hotel London for a quick one-night stop on our way back to Seattle after splitting our trip between London (week one) and Malta (week two). By the time we arrived, we were tired, hungry, and very ready to be horizontal. The staff were warm and welcoming, and made getting settled in easy—which, at that point, was exactly what we needed. Special shoutout to Balazs at the bar, who made my husband’s entire day (and mildly betrayed me) by complimenting his… socks and sandals. Yes, that combo. I’m still processing. The room? Gorgeous. Chic, cozy, and exactly what you want after a long trip. And the bathroom? Huge. Like, “maybe I live here now” energy. All in all, such a lovely stay. Next time, we’re absolutely coming back for longer—because one night at Threadneedles just isn’t enough. Highly recommend. 10/10 would let the staff charm us again.

- 86lynnb (10/5): Excellent service in boutique hotel in central London. - We spent eight nights at Threadneedles and the welcoming tone was set with a warm welcome with a glass of wine when we straggled in after a long day of travel. The lobby with its beautiful dome was a quiet place to meet with family who live in London. Our room was spacious and comfortable. This hotel both of our requirements: location near the Bank Street Station and historical building. The most notable feature was the friendly, professional and proficient staff. We enjoyed breakfast every day and also dined at the hotel and took tea in the lobby. While we enjoyed excellent service throughout, we especially recognize Moin, a server who greeted us each morning with a warm smile and expedited our coffee choices. He was pleasant, efficient and very helpful.

It’s so central, close to all major tourist attractions by walking if you like to walk, but also near many underground stations. What I appreciated was the quiet at night and privacy in a bustling area. I could access lively spots easily, and return to peace and elegance of the hotel when I wanted. It’s a very gorgeous establishment. Service was impeccable and everyone so helpful and top notch. The full english breakfast was very good. Cocktails and service especially by Balazs was really memorable. He made my stay immediately welcoming and provided many local recommendations and ensured I was taken care of. Thanks to all the Threadneedle team for my stay. Lovely!

The one huge issue is the bar at night, the bartender regularly disappears for 20-30 minutes, this not a one off thing I stay here a lot and it is EVERY time. The hotel facilities and rooms were quite nice (especially the bar!), love the history and location, and every staff member with whom I interacted was professional, caring, and charming. In my most recent stay, the staff members during check-in and check-out, James at the entrance area, Paul at the bar, and Roberto all around were outstanding, went the extra mile, and made me feel like an esteemed guest throughout my week-long stay. This has become my go-to hotel in London, and I am looking forward to my stays there in 2026 and beyond!

- Markus (7/5): Preis/Leistung für ein 5-Stern-Hotel ist unserer Meinung nach keinesfalls gegeben. - Lage ist gut, mit Tube und Railway gleich in der Nähe. Wir hatten 2 Zimmer gebucht, beide waren an sich ruhig (Verkehr, etc.) und sauber. Beeindruckende Eingangshalle. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei Ankunft mussten wir pro Zimmer 200 pounds Kaution mittels Kreditkarte garantieren (zumindest wurde bis dato, auch nach Check-out, nichts abgebucht). Bei Check-out wurde uns auch noch ein „Service-fee“ angekündigt - auf Nachfrage, wozu das gut sei, da wir ohnehin schon den gesamten Aufenthalt bezahlt haben, wurde uns mit „Das ist so üblich“ geantwortet. Hatten wir noch in keinem Hotel in London. Die Einrichtung ist doch schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, Möbel sind abgenutzt und zerkratzt, teilweise wackelig und disfunktional. Auch Stoffüberzüge der Bettgestelle können das zerschlissene Darunter nicht verbergen. In einem der Zimmer war der Türspion nicht mehr vorhanden, stattdessen einfach nur die leere Hülle - Einblick in das Zimmer von außen somit gegeben. Bei Ankunft wurde uns gesagt, dass Kaffee, Minibar inkludiert sind. Die Minibar wurde mit jeweils einer Dose Cola, Diät-Cola, Fanta und Sprite gefüllt. Für Kaffee steht eine Nespresso-Maschine mit 4 Kapseln (davon 2x koffeinfrei) bereit. Kaffeekapseln wurden täglich nachgefüllt, jedoch nicht die ohnehin schon spärlich besetzte Minibar. Die Beleuchtung im gesamten Hotel wird entweder auf Sparflamme betrieben, oder die schummrige Atmosphäre ist beabsichtigt. Hat uns persönlich etwas gestört, da sowohl in den Zimmern als auch in der Eingangshalle z.B. das Lesen sich als schwierig herausstellt. Um an der Bar bedient zu werden, mussten wir an bestimmten Tischen oder direkt an der Bar sitzen. An den Sitzmöglichkeiten der Eingangshalle (an sich direkt neben der Bar) wird man weder gefragt, noch bedient.

The staffs are very nice and professional, especially Mr.Roberto, very helpful and thoughtful. In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel, it’s worth for staying, and of course, coming back.

- 864ay (10/5): Outstanding Service That Makes This Hotel Exceptional - My stay at Threadneedles Hotel was truly memorable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Egon Hoin in the breakfast restaurant. From the very first morning, Egon went above and beyond to make me and my family feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. His kindness, attention to detail, and warm personality turned breakfast into an experience rather than just a meal. He was thoughtful, professional, and consistently attentive without ever being intrusive — the definition of outstanding hospitality. It’s rare to encounter service that leaves such a lasting impression, but Egon did exactly that. Because of him, this hotel now holds a special place for us, and I can confidently say that we will always return to Threadneedles Hotel whenever we are in London. Exceptional service like this is what separates a good hotel from a truly great one. Egon is an absolute asset to the hotel, and management should be incredibly proud to have him on their team. Thank you, Egon, for making our stay unforgettable.

The rooms were top notch (upgraded to an executive room), the hotel staff is very accommodating and resourceful. I are ate at the restaurant twice with service from Moin- very sweet, remembered me after my first visit and made it a very personal experience. Well done Moin!

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. A special thanks to Harsha at reception she truly made our stay amazing. My girl friend wasn’t feeling well, and Harsha took extra care of her, offered a coffee, and made sure we were comfortable. Her kindness and five-star service made all the difference. - fromAtl (10/5): Great location and lovely rooms - Excellent staff! Lovely suite upgrade to Armstrong Suite. Fabulous bathroom products that smelled so nice, and the lotion felt good too! An extra-long bathtub as well. Turn-down service with chocolates, lavender spray for the pillow, and a lip moisturizer left bedside. Ice bucket filled, and it separated the ice from the melted water. Thick long towels refreshed daily. The room had two TVs, great WiFi connection, an umbrella, shoe horn, Nespresso set up, teabags, and cookies/biscuits. A Continental breakfast with coffee prepared to order, juices, yogurt and fruit, cereals, meat, and cheese was provided in addition to a menu from which you could order. The hotel is central to many parts of London and in a quiet part of town. Only 74 rooms. (Or is it 72?) Highly recommend!! P.S. Bonvoy is saving thousands of dollars by placing water bottles that cannot be opened in guest rooms. No opening means no using!!

- JustThatScotGuy (10/5): Beyond First Class: Where Every Detail is Impeccable - This was, hands-down, the single most beautiful hotel that I have ever stayed in. The staff was exceptional. Everything about the hotel was beyond first class. Upon walking in you are greeted and in awe of the beautiful sitting area with its amazing stained glass dome. I found myself in awe each time I walked through. The rooms are also exceptional. Very tasteful decorated and not over the top as some higher end hotels seem to be. I also found that the cleaning service and turned down service were magical. I don't know how they seemed to know when I had left my room but upon my return it was always clean and at night the turn down service was a lovely surprise to find mince and spray on my pillow. Now let's talk about something which is an often overlooked feature of a hotel stay. The breakfast. This is typically a throwaway perk that anyone who travels a bit understands. At best it's a spread of cereals and maybe a bagel or two. Most of the time serve served in a crappy lobby with coffee that has been sitting there for hours. Not here. Oh no. Even the breakfast is next level here. Sure, it contained all the normal things you would expect such as bagels toast cereal but then they took it to the next level with some beautiful donuts, sliced meats and some cheese, yogurt with granola, and a beautiful selection of sliced fruit. However what really made the breakfast experience phenomenal were the people. Specifically, Amesh, Epon, and Mohin. Each morning when I would walk through the doors I would be greeted and they would immediately take a coffee or tea order to go make themselves. They were also incredibly friendly and attentive. I found their smiles infectious and a great way to start the day.

- IowaCityMD (4/5): Not a 4 star hotel - We spent two nights in this hotel. Service was exemplary. Everybody g was average or below average. The room had a space heater to provide heat. The toilet usually required 2 flushes to flush everything. The tub/shower was difficult to dangerous to get into. It was very deep and narrow. I am 5’3” and when standing next to it the rim was 3 inches above my knee. The shower controls required an engineering degree to operate. And the restaurant was horrible. Breakfast buffet was good but no hot foods, that required ordering from the a la carte menu. Dinner was horrible. We ordered two appetizers and 2 salads. The appetizers were clearly frozen and were microwaved. The dumplings had one part that was warm and the other side cold. They told us they had only one Greek salad left, another sign they were prepackaged. The Caesar had low quality Parmesan. We had to ask for water. Bill was 100 for dinner$900 for 2 nights.
- Langstroth (6/5): Beautiful hotel but needs maintenance - Beautiful well furnished, great attentive staff and well decorated. Clean and good facilities. Sadly didn’t get the good night sleep we hoped for here. Beds need updating - mattresses were not pocket sprung so every time my husband rolled over in bed it felt like I was being catapulted out! We had a few maintenance issues. The mini fridge wasn’t cold and the ventilation fan in the bathroom kept making a loud squeaking noise intermittently through the night (not connected to air con so couldn’t switch off). Even though we were the other side of the corridor we could hear from the room every time the lift went up and down. The service charge was a joke - they place a £40 per day “holding fee” on the card then charge you £14 for the pleasure of refunding it (we were literally there for an overnight place to sleep and didn’t need and “service” so this felt like a big scam!) Because of these facts I’d be hesitant to stay again, which is a shame because it’s an otherwise lovely hotel.

As with most hotels these days, breakfast was prohibitively expensive, just no point spending a fortune on cereal and a coffee which is all we wanted. Starbucks is across the road!

- Daniel (1/5): Overpriced, disappointing. - The only selling point of this hotel is the old bank lobby with the glass roof, beside that leaky glass roof the hotel is pretty average I would say a bit dated. I you really want to see the glass roof you can have a drink in the bar and sit inside, it’s quite dark in there anyway as is surrounded by very tall buildings. Price wise is overpriced for what you really get. Overall not much, is as any other building in on that street.

Unacceptable for a hotel at this star rating and cost. My key stopped working to the lift and room 3 times during my 2 night stay. Shower pressure was very weak

Unfortunately as an overnight guest it was cold, lacks atmosphere, the dinner menu was limited and the food microwaved style and delivered like warm and pretty awful. The rooms are lovely, comfortable beds and bathrooms though tired and worn in need of TLV and the shower water cold at 6am. Having stayed in many city hotels this was a huge disappointment for the nightly rate paid.
