• S796UScandyc (10/5): Wonderful, atmospheric hotel in the heart of London. - This is at least the third time we have stayed at Hazlitt's. And we will return. Located in Soho, it is well situated for theater-going and some of the "big" museums (National Gallery of Art, National Portrait Gallery, British Museum). The rooms are charming, providing a mini-fridge, good closets and cubbies for storage. History everywhere, if this is of interest. Our room this time (and once previously) was the Dr. John Snow room (all rooms are named for famous figures who've lived in one of the buildings that were combined to make the hotel). We had asked for a standing shower...this room had one, but not all rooms do, so ask if this is important to you. The public rooms in the hotel are very comfy--with honor bars. Even though Soho is a very busy (and noisy) part of London, our room was quiet, but admittedly it faces an alley, not Frith Street, so if you are a light sleeper, you might want to be sure that your room faces the back of the hotel. The staff is excellent, very responsive, and the room was immaculate. The breakfast ($) offerings were filling and delivered to your room, although if you prefer, you can eat in one of the public rooms. This is not a hotel if you need a spa or lavish spaces, but it is charming, elegant, and warm.

• Besemer (10/5): Great hotel for introverts who enjoy history and quirkiness - This property is like a hidden gem located in SoHo area of London. The interior has such a cozy feel filled with beautiful antiques and old paintings. I love the connection the hotel maintains with the past honoring the men and women who lived there long ago. It’s such a brilliant hotel for the introverted because breakfast is brought to your room each morning. The only thing that I’d say is a turn off is that the stairs are a bit wonky and with the padded carpet can make it a little difficult to traverse. I understand the padded carpet helps with sound dampening but it makes it hard for the foot to fit on the steps that are already uneven and lean inward from age. I don’t mind the quirkiness but the carpet makes it more difficult to manage.

Hotel accommodation was all thoughtfully presented within the limitations of a Georgian town house. This created its charm. A climb up several flights of stairs to our room improved our step count!

This hotel is in a very old structure, so while I love it, be prepared for awkward steps and old style baths and showers. It is unfortunately not the ideal place for someone who struggles with steps or getting around generally, even though the staff will help you out as much as they can.

We’ve stayed here on numerous occasions, rooms varying from baron willoughby, to the Duke of Monmouth (our fave) and a couple of others. I could not ask for anymore when staying here. Opulence and luxury is where hazlitts is at. Rich in history and slap bang in the centre of soho, London. Perfect for shopping, meals and relaxing. When in the hotel you feel far from London as it has a peaceful and calm energy, quite opposing to the hustle and bustle of London. 10/10 from me!

Very close to all shoes Oxford street , regent , we had a few different events this location is perfect to see the main shopping areas restaurants etc will definitely recommend . The library was also so interesting with very old real books and honesty system for drinks Some reason the room didn’t have enough plus only found one, also it had a bath but not a shower I could stand up in , tv was at awkward angel . However I still loved the place

Fußläufig sind alle zentralen Punkte gut erreichbar, Piccadilly in etwa 10 Minuten, U-Bahnstation Tottenham Court Road ideal in 3 Minuten. Vom Flughafen Heathrow mit der Elizabeth Line perfekt zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind traumhaft eingerichtet, alles sehr stilsicher und herrlich englisch. Besonders schön ist der Roomservice - sehr aufmerksam bis ins kleinste Detail (kleine Blumenvase mit frischer Blume auf dem Tablett morgens und abends) Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln

• barbrok2018 (6/5): A nce hotel, but we had expected more. - Centrally located in Soho, on Fifth St. Very nice and accommodating staff. No tea tray in the room; you have to ask for it, and it was delivered to the room. However, both the coffee and tea servings were meager. The room was very cold, so we closed the shutters. The elevator was out of order most of the time during the two days we stayed there. Overall, perhaps not what you would expect from a hotel at that price point. On the plus side: wonderful high beds, bathrobes, and fantastic decor, and a fun idea to name the rooms after historical men. Would we stay there again? No, it is not worth the money.

• Nicolas (8/5): Une expérience immersive et charmante au cœur du quartier le plus vivant de Londres. - L’emplacement idéal, un hôtel avec un charme fou, une véritable expérience immersive et chaleureuse. J’ai adoré ma chambre (même si j’ai dû demander à changer car la première était rouge, toute petite, donc oppressante), la nouvelle faisait chambre d’écrivain anglais, adorable ! Je recommande d’aller faire un tour dans les salons avec bibliothèque au moins pour boire un Gin. Et aussi les Bagel pour le petit-déjeuner ! Seul bémol, mais vraiment seul bémol, les équipement de la salle de bain. Rien pour nettoyer les toilettes après passage et même si le ménage était fait tous les jours concernant les draps et l’aspirateur, les toilettes n’étaient pas nettoyés. Également la paroi de douche ! Elle était trop petite pour la dimension de la douche, à la fin la salle de bain était sous l’eau, pas très agréable. Mais au final au vue de l’expérience c’est un détail, qui a son importance haha, mais c’est un détail ;) Après, pour finir, je dirais le prix, le rapport qualité-prix. Mais j’ai bien peur que tout Londres soit déconnecté de la réalité vis à vis du prix des choses.

• Stephanie (9/5): My stay was wonderful, a clean room and ice cream every evening. What more could I ask. - The location was ideal for my adventure. I could walk to everything i wanted to see or do. The breakfast i had was good but I felt bad not being able to eat all of it. Just too much. The small room downstairs was perfect for my old knees too. The shower in my room let water out onto the floor. It was a little worrisome but thats my nature.

• Mark (9/5): - Full of character, well provisioned No restaurant, so breakfast served in your room (I didn’t have a suitable chair so eating was awkward!)…but the food was good.
• JukkaK_11 (8/5): Quirky, but not quite there - I am torn, Hazlitt's has so much going for it, but just falls a bit short. Location, especially if you are in town for a West End show, is absolutely superb. Rooms are quirky, in a good way. You really feel like staying in a bedroom of a properly old English (manor) house. However, arrival, which is fairly important in terms of first impressions, is somewhat underwhelming. Instead of characterful, I would rate the reception and the adjoining sitting area just as "dated". There is a lot of potential, but it all feels a bit neglected. There is also a library and another sitting area with honesty bars, and those are nicer and the honesty bars are well stocked. Breakfast delivered in the room was good and all the staff are very polite and helpful. Having said all that, at this price point (yes, I know it is London), you would expect for that final bit of polish to be there. I am not saying "don't go", but I am suggesting anyone considering Hazlitt's to consider how important the quirkiness of the rooms is for you. You do pay for it.

• Rachel (10/5): Fabulous Hotel. - Located right in the centre of Soho, Hazlitt’s is an oasis of calm. The rooms are beautiful. The staff always very friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend Hazlitt’s. Nothing.
