- stacey (7/5): Cozy, well located room with a lovely view - Location was amazing for our show at Capitol Theatre. We had a view of the Theatre and street. Close to lots of delicious food options and very close to central station. Access to rooms was simple and safe. Room was comfy, clean and bonus bath for the end of our night to relax. Room was quiet and sound was not travelling up from the street which was helpful for a hotel located on a busy street. I couldn't sit up in the bed as the bed was on wheels it kept sliding away from the wall when i tried to sit with my back against wall. First hotel Ive staying in for a while that had no USB access ports anywhere. I guess is my fault for not bringing the wall plug, but i am just so used to hotels having USB ports, especially for the price point.

- Kirsty (6/5): - It was clean and in a great location. The room size was decent for three people. Anymore and I think it would be a struggle to fit. The furniture is due to be replaced... especially the sofa bed we used. The staff never explained or broke down what I was being charged for.. also never said they were happy to help with anything upon check-in. And there's no information explaining that the QR code for parking only last 24hrs for $50 so we ended up paying $100 for two tickets which still didnt cover the cost and in the end had to pay $12 at the machine for staying parked from 12pm to 3pm the next day. Got duped pretty bad .

- Megan (8/5): Great for a weekend trip. - Very close to Capitol Theatre, we were there for a show. Quiet at night. Short walk to Central or Town Hall stations, short walk to Darling Harbour. No parking onsite, but it was only 1 block away so not too bad as we have no mobility issues.

The shower head was relatively low - and personal preference would be a walk in shower rather than a bath. The leg room for the toilet was not optimal either.

Shower was very poor: low pressure and shower head in a strange position at shoulder level. Mattress was also pretty bad: very worn springs and inconsistent. I think the aircon will struggle in hot weather. Could barely keep the room cool enough to sleep even in early May - would be reluctant to stay here in summer.

Room was clean and reasonably priced. Beds mostly comfortable. The bathroom needs an update. The shower head is very low and the shower curtain looked well worn.

There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and Capitol Theatre is just across the road if you’re interested in catching a show. We arrived in the late morning and were pleased that our room was already ready for check‑in. It was great that they were able to accommodate us so early. The internet connection was almost unusable—so slow it felt like dial‑up. We struggled to do even basic things online, such as checking Google Maps. While we don’t mind the hotel being older, the bathroom setup was inconvenient. The basin was very narrow, and the shelf directly above it made it awkward to wash our face or carry out any normal bathroom tasks. The bathtub is old and has visible stains. The bathroom fan is not working, and the sign instructs us to keep the door closed so steam does not trigger the smoke alarm. Some of the grout between the tiles is mouldy.

The staff were very aloof, the outdoor lights at the pool didn't work, the elevators were unreliable. The bathroom wasn't clean - ill fitting shower curtain, no bathroom extractor fan. Our room wasn't made up every day, dishes weren't washed. Not suited for anything more than short weekend style stay.
