Seasonstravels (2/5): Runout Old Rooms - We are group of 40 - 20 so called Deluxe rooms, but horrible condition, the Hotel staff is not friendly, you do your own luggage, even for seniors, also rooms are all run down, they worked out in lobby but rooms are very old and need serious renovations, this is not PAN PACIFIC, it is complete downgrade.

Tracks in carpeting outside rooms, leaking sink, grease and dirt on door handles and plates, dust and grime on lighting. Room was supposedly non smoking but it smelled terrible.

We booked a suite which meant we had access to the pan pacific club for check in, check out, cocktail hour, breakfast and the list goes on! Special mention to Mia, your service and grace was outstanding, please email me if you ever come to Melbourne for a reference or just a guide! Mia was so fantastic, the entire experience was. When you make people feel good they never forget and that is what outstanding service is, Mia is a credit to this team.

sandylindsay (8/5): The room was good, the various dining options were excellent! - Room 1203 is a large room on the 12th floor. It has an in-room safe and tea/coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board is available on request. It has an over bath shower with a very good, non-slip bath mat, although we'd prefer a walk-in shower. There's a small fridge which is full of minibar items, although they could be removed if you need items chilled. There's not a great number of hangers, nor a lot of storage space, however there is an adequate workspace. The bed is large and comfortable, although the pillows are very soft, but there's no individual, focused bedside lights and only 1 bedside cabinet. There's a panel on this cabinet which controls all the different lights which is useful and there's a separate light inside the wardrobe which is controlled by opening either sliding door. There are 2 dressing gowns and 2 pairs of slippers. Breakfast - was a buffet served in the Pacifica restaurant. There was a very wide range of hot and cold foods, drawn from a range of Eastern cuisines as well as items from Western cuisine, including an excellent egg station. There were a variety of fruit juices, cereals, etc. If you couldn't find something to enjoy here, you must be a very fussy eater. Dinner - we went to the Pacifica restaurant because we were very tired after flying from London via Singapore and it was handy. We shared a Caprese salad and 6 delicious crab spring rolls. Margaret had the excellent club sandwich, which was a large mouthful and I had the Hainanese chicken dish which was brilliant. We each had a large Tiger lager to drink. We went to the Ming Chinese restaurant at lunchtime on our rest day and shared 2 types of soup, some dumplings and a fried rice dish. The food was outstanding, freshly prepared and very tasty. I'd highly recommend Ming if you enjoy Chinese food. We also went to the Summit bar on the 20th floor for a lighter dinner and drinks. We each had a large Tiger lager to drink but, because we'd had a large lunch in Koto restaurant, we didn't want too much to eat. We shared some delicious, soft calamari coated in panko breadcrumbs, some parmesan truffle fries and an excellent Bruschetta collection topped with tomatoes, Parma ham and Mozzarella cheese. Unfortunately it was a cool evening, so we didn't sit outside on the terrace to enjoy the views.

C2121LTmain (10/5): Lunch at Ming - I recently had a chance to visit Ming at Pan Pacific Hanoi, and it was a perfect place for a slow and quiet weekend lunch. The highlight was definitly the handmade Dim Sum. The staff are attentive and professional without overbearing. It's a bit of a splurge, but the quality and peaceful ambiance make it well worth it. Definitely a place I'll keep returning to.

And they didnt inform me that, the connecting room only avail for standard room, but they LEAD me to upgrade our reservation to higher category to get the rooms closest as they can. But at the end after i paid for the upgrade one, our rooma not side by side.in this case, what should i paid for the upgrade one. And the worst things happen, my room no 506, got the complimentary with a RAT. Well, this is PAN PACIFIC, and this is 5* hotel, but their room occupied with a RAT. Good job PAN PACIFIC, you can keep doing with this condition about your staff's tricky and your pet in a your room.

UrsulaK (10/5): Great hotel in convenient location. - This was our first hotel on our multi week SE Asia trip and I am writing this review at the end of the trip to accurately compare the hotels we stayed in. The hotel rooms are large and have great amenities, like robes and coffee makers in the room. In fact, this was the only hotel on our trip that had a coffee maker in the room. The buffet breakfast was also fantastic. The hotel is in a great location by the lake so you can walk to a number of cafes and restaurants.

davidjQ8258FY (10/5): Fabulous new bathroom - We upgraded to get a great refurbished room overlooking the lake. The bathroom was super smart. It had one of those loos that warms the seat when you sit on it and has a multitude of functions. I didn't use any of them, but it amused us. Great toiletries in the bathroom, really good quality. The hotel is a bit of a walk to train street, but we found it easily doable. The best entertainment is sitting at a table in breakfast looking at the traffic below. Extraordinary how we witnessed no accidents despite the chaos.

orchardhouse2000 (8/5): Recommended Hotel - 3 night stopover at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The hotel is next to the West Lake, the Red River and Truc Bach Lake. As an additional bonus we stayed during the new year celebrations and were able to watch the surrounding fireworks at midnight from the top floor. Although we felt the hotel was a little way out the centre area was walkable in about 25 to 30 minutes. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the food was ideal. Our rooms were serviced every day and we experienced no issues. Overall, a decent hotel which I would stay at again if needed.

Murton68 (8/5): Nice stay - Nice hotel although the room smelt a bit musty. The shower is a bit odd, fitted at a strange angle and over the bath. You do need to be fairly able bodied to get in and out of the bath to use the shower. The roof top bar was lovely and the staff are great. The breakfast is amazing, I’ve never seen so much choice.

Bf is good and I joined a company event with hundreds of people at banquet place and food was excellent! I was really impressed by level of food for such a large party (300+ people). Nice gym and indoor pool area. Rooms are good but a bit old. That’s the o ly part separating from a 5. Otherwise well worth a stay. Have stayed before and would stay again.
Santaije (10/5): The best landmark in Hanoi - Probably the best city hotel in Hanoi when it comes to location and service quality! The service staff members in the Pan Pacific Hanoi Executive Lounge were wonderful to us. They put in their best efforts to get to know all their guests and went out of their way to provide a lot of useful information, particularly Chloe who had spent some time curating a list of places and delicacies we could try in the next port of call at Hai Phong. Duka and Minh were attentive and discrete in their service, and making sure everyone was comfortable and contented.
Flyingred (10/5): Very good hotel - A very positive experience. Check-in was efficient and friendly. The concierges were helpful. The room was comfortable and everything worked well. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have seen. The rooftop bar was a pleasant setting for a sundowner. A very well-managed property with hospitable staff. What more could you ask for? The only (slight) negative is that the hotel has reception rooms on the mezzanine above the reception area. On two evenings there was music playing which we could hear in our room (cheesy ballads one evening and dance music the second).

Rkwok68 (10/5): Pan Pacific Hanoi – Comfortable Stay with a Great Location and Lake Views - We stayed three nights at the Pan Pacific Hanoi after booking through Amex’s Hotel Collection and had a very pleasant experience overall. As expected with the program, we received a room upgrade to a lake-facing room along with a $100 USD property credit—which goes a long way in Vietnam and added real value to the stay. Location The hotel is located just north of the historic quarter, right off a main road and within an easy walk (less than half a mile) to the Old Quarter. Hanoi’s late-December weather was ideal for walking, and we frequently strolled into the Old Quarter to explore. The Pan Pacific made an excellent base for sightseeing while still feeling a bit removed from the chaos. Room The room was a good size and in line with expectations for a five-star hotel, though the property itself feels slightly dated. That said, everything was comfortable and functional. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the bedside controls for A/C and lighting. The bathroom was on the smaller side but perfectly usable, with good shower pressure, a soaking tub, and even a clothesline for hanging items. Fitness Center & Pool The fitness facilities were a highlight. The gym is well laid out with separate areas for weights, cardio, and yoga, and features a solid selection of Technogym equipment. There’s also a full-length, Olympic-sized swimming pool, plus a separate locker area with two (lukewarm) jacuzzis, a steam room, and a sauna. Overall, a very good setup for staying active while traveling. Food & Beverage We didn’t have breakfast included and chose to use our Amex credit for laundry instead, so I can’t comment on the dining. We did visit the rooftop bar, however, and it was lovely—especially in the evening. The patio offers serene views over the lake at night, and drinks were reasonably priced by U.S. standards (around $10 USD each). Service Service throughout the stay was friendly, efficient, and genuinely warm. The front desk staff spoke good English, and when we checked out early but wanted to continue exploring Hanoi, the bellhop team was happy to securely store our luggage for the day. Small gestures like this really stood out. Overall The Pan Pacific Hanoi is a comfortable, well-located hotel that offers great value—especially when booked through a program like Amex Hotel Collection. With its walkable location near both the Old Quarter and French Quarter, solid fitness facilities, and warm service, we would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel staff were friendly and caring and Emma (customer relations manager) was particularly helpful and kind. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends in Australia. We stayed in a junior suite with magnificent views. The lounge had its back to the window so you really couldn’t sit back and enjoy it. Also we could not see the TV screen from the lounge. Room configuration could be better thought out.
Pete67w (10/5): Always again - We stayed at the PanPacific for 5 Nights- extending our originally planned stay due to the phantastic experiences and Super Service. When I lost my mobile phone, the Front desk (thanks again, Evelyn!) did all possible to recover it, sucessfully. As GHA titanium member, we had Access to the Pan Pacific Executive Lounge on 17th floor, which we made ample use of. The Team there (Chloe, Yen and Thomas) really have the customer happiness and satisfaction on their minds! We felt super welcome every time we entered the Lounge! Also, the Hotel Hosts a very good Fitness and Swimmingpool area.
LeeLee883 (6/5): Not the most special hotel feel - Me and my husband and I often do staycations at nice hotels in Hanoi while we live here. This was our first visit to the Pan Pacific, we booked it fairly last minute as so the room was good value. The room, however, felt like a soulless business room. The bed was comfy but pillows too soft. Oddly both the shower and bath seemed to not actually get hot, the max temp was around 40 degrees, it was one of the rare occasions where I was happy to wait to get home for a good shower. The room did have a good view Was hoping to enjoy a drink at the summit bar, but it turns out you need to book in advance to get a table, especially as the bar area outside is rather small. The pool area was very lovely and relaxing and even though I didn't use the gym, it did look very spacious
Christoph (8/5): Would stay again for the view and facilities - Overall a great hotel. Nice facilities and having the view over the lake is fantastic. I want to highlight the fitness center and spa which is really outstanding. The room felt like it was luxury 5 years ago but it’s just slightly upscale now. That reduces the value a bit.

Philip (8/5): Functionally very good, but soulless. - The staff were extremely helpful and able to deal with everything quickly and efficiently. This included questions about the room, luggage storage, return visits, our account, and the provision of a packed breakfast for an early departure. Very comfortable bed and genuine lake view (if requested at booking). All facilities you would expect from a more expensive corporate hotel. The room light controls were extremely difficult to understand. The hotel is a bit soul less, especially the corridors leading to the rooms. It is functional rather than joyful in it's decor. In general a little bit tired.
AbhimanyuSinghi (10/5): Luxury Hotel But Vegetarians Beware - We stayed here for two nights in October. We had booked a Studio Suite with an extra bed for 2 adults + 2 kids but on check-in we were upgraded to a 2 Bedroom Premier Suite. This was a really pleasant surprise as the kids now had a room to themselves while we had our privacy. Check-in and check-out both were smooth and the staff at the reception always smiling and helpful. The suite itself was extremely spacious. It had a full fledged living room apart from the 2 bedrooms and also a kitchen and a washing machine area. We had a view of the lake. Our booking included Pacific Club access which offered drinks, tea and snacks through the day. The pool and steam / sauna areas were also adequately large. Location wise this is a 15 minute drive from Old Quarter. We found it convenient enough since walking around Old Quarter was not our only priority. Its walking distance from the lake. There is also a mini mart just a hundred steps from the hotel. Only point of concern was the vegetarian options at the breakfast buffet. The menu itself was limited and the vegetarian spread in it extremely limited. On request they did make veg noodles for us both days but we would have still liked to have more options. Also seating at the restaurant is limited so during peak hours you may have to wait for a table.

alexb943 (10/5): Great 5-star property with top-level service - Stayed 5 nights at PP Hanoi. As a Discovery Titanium member my room was upgraded to a two room appartment on 10th floor. Sleep comfort in bed was fine, air conditioning controls were easy to use and easily adaptable (separately for every room). Lovely breakfast with large spread of Asian and Western fare - I especially enjoyed "Singapore Laksa" available every day. Depending on your timing, breakfast in downstairs Pacifica restaurant can be a bit noisy and crowded during weekdays, but the food is worth it. I enjoyed the gym, open 24hrs, it is rather spacious, seperated into two rooms, one for weights and the other for cardio machines. The gym rooms are adjacent to the fairly large, 25m pool which was great for swimming. Since I had booked my room with Club privileges, I went to Pacific Club Lounge on 17th floor for cocktails in the afternoon (17:30-19:30 daily). They had a full Asian and Western food buffet, complete with available drinks like champagne, wine, beer etc. I want to send kudos to the service team from the Club Lounge: Duka, Minh and Chloe, you made my stay exceptionally enjoyable with your kind and observant service. Hotel location is great, situated overlooking West Lake and the Tran Quoq pagoda. A walk to the Ho-Chi-Minh mausoleum took me 23 minutes. Summarizing, I can only recommend staying at this hotel! I will definitely return once I get to Hanoi.

K4786ZTjeffc (10/5): Top notch experience in Hanoi - The hotel provides excellent room, amenities and service. Pacifica restaurant, an all-day venue, served scrumptious lunch upon arrival. The athletics facilities are among the best I’ve seen in a hotel: In addition to a lap pool and a room with weights, the hotel features 3 ellipticals, 7 treadmills and 5 stationery bikes. The spa was excellent, with a Swedish massage from Ms. Hiền relaxing muscles after a day of travel. The hotel is in a great location to explore Hanoi.
