The hotel is luxury and gives you the needed vibes of London from the very first step. The room we received first was not satisfactory at all due to the view from the window (dirty territory of the internal part of the hotel). Personnel was able to resolve the issue and we are satisfied in full!

AngeloDocPR (8/5): Not among the best Sofitels / Poor value for the cost - The hotel is housed in a beautiful building; most Sofitel perks and details are present, but amenities are limited. The gym is very small, and some equipment was out of service. I paid nearly $700 USD per night, and it feels like the value for money falls short compared to other Sofitel hotels: Amsterdam (Grand), Mexico City, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Buenos Aires, among others. As an Accor Platinum member, I was “upgraded” to a room that had a terrible view—basically a wall. There are no true blackout blinds; the sunlight woke me up every morning.

CJMar (10/5): Another wonderful stay - After spending a weekend at this beautiful hotel at the start of January, we decided to come back for 3 nights at the end of half-term. The staff are all so kind and welcoming. We were greeted by a lovely lady on arrival and were offered glasses of champagne and sparkling tea to celebrate our daughter's birthday (this trip was a belated gift). Our 2 rooms were connected, which is great with the children. The bathrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a birthday card and cake in the room when we got back in the evening. We had some drinks at the St James bar where the waiters were all so lovely and helpful with the menu. Breakfast is delicious. Again, the staff are so nice and very accommodating with requests. Room-service is also available and quick to arrive once you order. The menu is varied and there is a children section. The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. Just 2 minutes from Piccadilly Circus. We will definitely be back, thanks to all the wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of London, and the staff are as warm and welcoming as ever. The reception area is beautiful, and they even had umbrellas available as it was pouring rain - top-notch service! One minor point: housekeeping initially used a strong perfume in our room, but they quickly apologized and toned it down when asked. We stayed in the Studio Suite, which was absolutely perfect for 3 people - spacious, elegant, and with a great view. Lovely touches like chocolate, water, and biscuits added to the experience. Highly recommend! 😊

ElizabethD741 (10/5): First time stay certainly not the last - First stay at this hotel and it won’t be our last,we regularly stay in London,The Taj at James,and the Savoy however we wanted to try somewhere different with a good location for central attractions and shopping. The staff service and interaction were second to none from check in to check out,Carmelia at check in made us feel welcome straight away so did the front of house staff on entry to the hotel concierge/doorman/porter etc they all made us feel valued and were genuinely happy to see us. The porter whose roots are from Sri Lanka(forgive me forgot his name)was a lovely man and as we had visited Sri Lanka we had a lovely chat about the Country. Room was amazing we stayed in a Luxury King with a Pall Mall view. Breakfast was included and choice was cold buffet&/or hot Off menu the staff were very observant and had great attention to detail and really looked after us. On check out we had the pleasure in meeting Marine(Front office Manager)who kindly gave us her business card asking to contact her the next time we were visiting which we will surely do as we will definitely be returning. We loved the stay so much we joined up as a member of the All Accor group. Sofitel have got everything spot on with this hotel,is it the cheapest(No)is it one of the best absolutely. We all really loved it, the staff were amazing and very helpful, the location is brilliant, and every detail was excellent right down to the Diptyque toiletries in the bathroom. One part of the experience that really stands out is how friendly and helpful the staff are, they gave my daughter a cute teddy bear, and wrote her a beautiful card. In the room the beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean and tidy and very well kept. Another strong plus for this hotel is its location, I can’t think of a better place to be based as you’re right in the heart of London.

First of all, it's beautiful, luxurious, clean, and the staff is professional, courteous, and helpful. Our room was on the fifth floor and very quiet. The bathroom was amazing. Spacious, with both a bathtub and a separate stall shower. Lots of storage and creature comforts. Super comfortable bed. The breakfast each morning (included) was a real highlight of our day. We enjoyed so many different dishes adn everything was delcious. We could spend the day sightseeing and not even feel the need for lunch. The location was a real plus. We were able to walk EVERYWHERE or hop on the Tube nearby at Piccadilly Circus. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and theater. One of my favorite things was that there were large umbrellas sitting by the entrance that we could grab as needed. We also enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea. Highly recommended!

danielkV6707HX (10/5): Exceptional Service and Impeccable Standards - I stayed at the Sofitel St. James recently and honestly loved it. The room was always spotless – every time I came back it looked like no one had ever been there, which I really appreciate. Breakfast was probably my favourite part. There's a staff member called Mr. Anikat who just made every morning so pleasant. He remembered what we liked, was always friendly without being over the top, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure everyone was having a good time. That kind of service is hard to find. The rest of the team were great too – everyone was helpful and made us feel welcome from check-in to checkout. It's one of those hotels where you can tell the staff actually care, not just going through the motions. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in London. Highly recommended.

jerseyman1 (10/5): Great hotel - Went for a couple of nights so we could catch up with family and enjoy West End shopping and restaurants. Had been a regular here but travel habits changed and had not been for ages. Lovely to be back and relax knowing that all will be calm and competent. Bit of a refurb since my last visit but well executed, and all staff from front door to reception to bar to maintenance and housekeeping were excellent. High standards everywhere. We had a birthday during the trip and a couple of glasses of champagne appeared, followed by a small cake in our room with a personalised note. Our bathroom sink sprung a leak, which was really well handled by maintenance and reception. We will definitely be back in the near future, it’s great being in a hotel where you can truly enjoy the stay and that the staff genuinely care about your stay. Highly recommended.

We had no particular expectations in advance other than the confidence from previous visits that we would enjoy our stay. From the warm welcome at reception to the bright red bows on the bedroom doors, from mulled wine in the lobby and treats in our room to the surprise Christmas stocking hung outside our room door on Christmas morning, every festive effort was made to bring joy.

Das zunächst zugewiesene Zimmer mit einer Batterie von (lauten) Klimaventilatoren vor dem Fenster zum Innenhof konnte auf erstes Anfordern problemlos gewechselt werden. Zimmer wie oben beschrieben.
