Richard (6/5): - Why 3 out of 5 stars (lots of + and a few -)? I stayed 5 days total, staff very kind and attentive. Very convenient to the hospital, which is why I was there. I ate dinner there one night (good food), when I asked for bill, waiter said manager was taking care of it. Upon checkout, not only was that charge on my bill, but there were two meal charges. Second half of stay there was a terrible smell permeating the building. I suppose it was temporary, but left before the smell did. If not for smell and re-negging on taking care of dinner, it would likely be a 5-star.
Russell (10/5): - Lovely place. Nice quiet location and only a short stroll to main tourist area. Plenty of dining options nearby. We had to check out early so they even dropped a take away breakfast to our room the night before. We really enjoyed our stay. The only slight negative was the shower door needed a little adjustment and may prove difficult for other guests. I would definitely stay again. Thanks.

Karen (8/5): - This boutique hotel is situated right on a small canal, in an old traditional building. Access to Venice couldn't be better from there. To get there with luggage, best to take the water bus "vaporetto" as the walk would otherwise involve too many sets of stairs over bridges. We counted only 3 sets of stairs on the route to the vaporetti station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size. There was no elevator to our room, unfortunately. The shower stall sizes seem to be very tiny all over Italy and this bathroom was no exception, but it was clean. There is a good restaurant on site and breakfast was good as well. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

The floor of one of our rooms is wonky but nothing that couldn’t be fixed by chocking up the bedframe. The breakfast was plentiful and the restaurant is divine -highly recommend the seabass ravioli which was the best I’ve eaten in my life. The location was really good, walking distance to everything but far enough away from the chaos.

A bonus was we had a kettle and tea tray, very unusual in Europe. We've stayed in different hotels in Venice before & never had one! The bathroom was good except the tiny corner shower, so small and the doors needed fixing, and the shower head needed descaling which we told reception about, it spluttered everywhere, but we did manage. We loved the hotel and the staff were all wonderful. Breakfast was ok, except the "hot" food was always cold. But toast & croissants were good & a BIG Thank You to Shuvo in the breakfast bar, he makes THE BEST cafe latte! The housekeeper kept our room spotless. The hotel is in a perfect location for everything us tourists need to see! Thanks to the manager too, he was very welcoming. We didn't try the restaurant but it did get busy, and it had a pretty courtyard.

A few minutes walk to Rialto and St Mark's Square, but at the same time in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast is great and the staff was very helpful in addressing my requests. I definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Venice.

The air conditioner was nice and cold and the water was hot. The shower was tiny, even for European standards, but this hotel had the only smart TV out of our entire European trip. Nice dining options including right next door. Breakfast buffet was simple but good with eggs, bacon, pancakes,etc. They make your choice of coffee fresh as you come in. Staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The only drawback to our room was the shower…. I could barely fit through the door!! I’m not a large man 6-2, 185…. But I got clean with hot water, so it’s all good.

Nicola (8/5): Gem of a hotel in quiet area of central Venice - Lovely gem of a hotel, quietly situated directly on the canal in the Castello area of central Venice. We arrived at Santa Lucia station and jumped on the Vaporetto public water bus - could have got off at Rialto but chose to stay on to San Marco to get the fantastic views down the grand canal and then arriving at San Marco - amazing! From there it’s just over a 10 walk through the backstreets to the hotel. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming - and gave us early check in to one of our rooms at 11am which was ideal. Delighted with our room - it was huge, with windows overlooking the water - and had hot water for shower in the morning. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is good too. A lovely place!

Thomas (10/5): - Laconda La Corte is a Quaint, boutique Hotel on a canal a little off the beaten path, which gives you a nice reprieve from the crowds. It is a nice, about equidistant walk to the Rialto Bridge or Saint Marks Square. Staff is very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was very good. We enjoyed our time there very much!

Galina (8/5): - This hotel is very well located near Venice's sights. You can stay here and get to Piazza San Marco in 10 minutes for example. It's also a 10 minute walk to the Alilaguna stop to come from the airport just don't bring heavy luggage. The room is great with comfortable beds and nice venetian floor. Bathroom is great and features a small shower but that's normal in Italy. Breakfast was first class and had good food and filled you up ready for sightseeing while being free. Be sure to indulge in the croissants as they're some of the best I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that their water heater broke down when we were there which made it hard to shower but hopefully they fix it. Would have no problem staying here again if I'm in Venice.

Matthew Graham (4/5): - No hot water for 3 nights. Staff were very nice but totally uninterested in the fact we couldn’t shower for 3 days.
Rohan (4/5): - Nice building and location, but they could drastically improve the experience they give their guests. Nearly every interaction with the staff at the hotel was awkward. We had no hot water for the 4 days we were there and we were told, sorry, the building is old. When we followed up after days of having to wash ourselves in the sink, they offered to make it right with a meal from the hotel restaurant. We accepted this offer in good faith and this was a bad decision. The meal was awkward from the beginning - making us feel unwelcome. They made us poorer quality meals than described on the menu - one of which was undercooked seared pork, which I sent back. I spoke with the manager who just apologised, but continued to make us feel bad for even being there. We spoke with friends who stayed at other hotels and they had staff who were excited to share information about what to do, see and eat on the islands. If you're wanting a hotel with good hospitality, or even running hot water, definitely go elsewhere.
Brandi (8/5): - We loved this beautiful unique property and it had access for water taxi pick up/drop off. Spacious family suite and decorated nicely. Only reason it was not all 5 stars for all categories was there was no hot water. We understand it was out of their control and they were beginning to repair it but it was an inconvenience after flying overnight.
Verified traveler (4/5): No hot water - Two things you expect from a hotel at a minimum: clean comfortable bed and hot water. For the duration of our three night stay we had no hot water. We resorted to boiling kettles and using the waste basket as a washing bucket. Young man who checked us on had no sense that this was a significant issue. On checkout the hotel told us to get a refund from our booking agent. Hotels.com told us that the hotel refused any discount or refund. Good location and cute hotel. But they knew about the issue before we arrived and did not inform us.

Annie (10/5): - Locanda La Corte is an intimate, friendly characterful property. Our room was beautiful and large with Canal views. Rami, the owner is so hospitable and kind he made us feel so welcome, as did all the staff. We ate dinner in the restaurant on our first night and it was the best meal of our stay in Venice. Really really good. Accompanied by Rami on base guitar! Such a wonderful evening. Breakfast is a simple but delicious buffet with the best coffee and hot chocolate. The hotel is in a quiet area but very easy to walk to the Rialto, San Marco etc and the hotel is a 10 min walk from the nearest Vaporetto stop Ospedale. Watch out for mosquitoes. We got bitten even in February- but that’s Venice, not the hotel. We will be back.

Nicholas (10/5): Wonderful spot for a couple's getaway - Locanda La Corte was a great home base for my wife and I in our recent travels to Venice. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, and even gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a view of the canals. Prior to our stay, front desk staff assisted us with securing reservations for dinner as well as recommendations for points of interest. The location was quiet as it was away from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto, but was still within a 10-minute walk of each of those areas. For the room, the air-con was strong, which was great to beat the humidity of the Venetian day. We didn't try the breakfast for an additional cost, but the breakfast courtyard was cute. My only complaint with the room was that the shower was a tight squeeze, but it was a small price to pay for a large, comfortable room.

We had a junior suite with canal view and found the room to be spacious and comfortable. David (10/5): Lovely hotel near everything in Venice - My wife and I and our two kids absolutely loved our time at Locanda La Corte. The hotel is on a canal, and in a quiet neighborhood close to everything you’d want to see in Venice. The staff was very friendly and helpful (even before our trip), and the room was clean and comfortable. We had the family room, which is actually two rooms (though no doors between them) with two bathrooms. The restaurant is fantastic, and we very much enjoyed the open seating area next to the canal. We definitely would stay here again should we return to Venice!

Tea & Coffee complimentary in room. Good breakfast and coffee. The best part for us was the superb service from the staff, very helpful, very caring. Downside is the size of the showers.

The property is beautiful, well maintained clean and in a really great location. The breakfast is very nice with an attentive staff who make delicious coffees. The restaurant is the place to be with amazing food options, and it is vibrant at night with live music and a great atmosphere. This we be our place to stay everytime we come.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, bed nice. My only real complaint was the shower was very tiny. I could survive it but anyone larger would not be able to.

Verified traveler (10/5): - In busy Venice, this hotel was a welcome escape. It was quiet and cool with very comfy beds. Breakfast was amazing and a great way to start a day of sightseeing. This place had great style and lovely little touches like a sitting area right next to the canal. It was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go but still far away from the painfully busy areas to avoid huge crowds and experience a quieter Venice.
TKS (8/5): - It’s well located and at walkable distance from all major attractions F. Te. Nova is near by so we did not have to struggle to travel to and from airport/train station as there were frequent water bus services.
Cynthia (10/5): Great for a family - Great trip! We were in an apartment with lots of room for a family of 4. Room had a lot of amenities, and was in a great location. The best part was the large window looking out on the waterway, so we could watch gondolas and other boats going by.

Verified traveler (10/5): - It seemed very authentic Venetian. The room was gorgeous with it's tapestry walls, and chandelier, and heavy draperies. The staff and the hotel were wonderful. It was great having the courtyard, and the little deck on the canal. The inside dining was super, food was delicious, with a little entertainment to enjoy as well. We had a fabulous stay.
Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, dirty floors, very very small shower cousktn move in it and was charged 25 Euro’s as our flight was cancelled and arrived at 10pm. Lack of room service. Okay stay but could definitely be improved, look elsewhere.
Verified traveler (8/5): - The Hotel is very easily accessible, as it is located just next to a canal. The water taxi dropped us at the jetty adjacent to the Hotel. The reception staff came to the jetty and helped us in carrying the heavier bags to the hotel. Check in took just a couple of minutes and we were in our room. Our room was located on the second floor, which was a little problem for us being senior citizens, but we managed. The hotel is located very close to the Rialto Bridge, which is the centre of the town and we could easily walk to the nearby restaurants for meals and shopping. The buffet breakfast, next morning was sumptuous, warm and tasty. The Cappucino was very good. overall a very enjoyable stay. The only negative point was the confusion created by the charging of one days room tariff from the credit card, soon after making the booking on Expedia website. Though the charges were reversed, as I was travelling thereafter, I could not confirm whether I had been charged for one days tariff or not.
Kathryn (10/5): Amazing view! - An amazing large clean apartment on a quiet canal in Venice. What a view! All the amenities you need for a weekend with the family in Venice. Everything was within walking distance and you can watch the gondolas from your room!
