- Vincent (2/5): Wouldn't go again. - The gentleman at check-in and the parking garage (even though it is accessible to the general public). We enjoyed the pizza shop across the street for dinner and then Starbucks in the morning. Both a 3 minute walk. The floors were filthy. They hadn't been vacuumed in at least a week. The water was brown before it ran clear in the shower. The was a cockroach in the shower. Our remote was missing a battery. The room floors were sticky. The room across the hall was very loud while having sex and we were there with our young children. The gaps under the doors allow sound to travel as though the door hardly exists. The area was sketchy for families. A lot of mentally ill people hangout around it. (Not the Hilt's fault). Parking in the garage cost nearly $30 for the night. The stairwell locked shortly after wr arrived which felt like a huge safety concern. The elevator is a bit janky but it worked well enough.

- Maria (5/5): Would stay again just don't have high expectations for the price of the hotel. - The lobby was very nice and smelled really good as did the elevator going up to the rooms. The hallway getting off the elevator did not smell good at all it smelled old and musty and the carpet was dirty. Our room was ok but it looked run down and there was black mold on the bathroom ceiling. The walls had touchups in many places and the door handle to the bathroom was worn, scratched and dented. The mattress was stained and the counters in the room were dirty. The iron had something black melted on it that stained a shirt before I noticed it and the ironing board was stained, dirty and smelled. This hotel needs a lot of remodeling and cleaning done. For the price that they charge it should be better. Also breakfast would be good all they offer is coffee, tea, and juices. The juices do not taste good. The staff were very nice and friendly. Overall I would stay here again just making note of the things that could improve. A breakfast would be nice, cleaner rooms and carpets especially the bed and mold on bathroom ceiling.

- Mallory (7/5): It’s alright if you are on a budget. - Good location. Places to eat across the street. Room was clean. Staff was nice. A fraction of the cost of other hotels nearby. It was very dark in the room. Don’t know why I had a window to the hallway either ? The pillows were uncomfortable . And my room realllllly smelled of bleach and on one hand, at least I know they cleaned it down but it was a bit overwhelming but eventually went away.

- Becky (8/5): Women travelers...a safe stay - The convenience off the freeway was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean. The beds were pretty comfy, the pillows, not as much. Parking onsite in this area is a must and it was reasonably priced to park there, and the parking was covered. Overall a safe and great place to stay. Really the only thing we had to complain about was the lumpy but flat pillows.

- IvaGorenstein (10/5): Contrary to popular opinion -- great! - We had adjacent rooms and it allowed plenty of space. All rooms are equipped with microwave and mini fridge. One of our rooms had a separate sink in the room itself. Hotel is a bit dated, but location is great, walking distance from Universal, with a number of eateries nearby, it has a pool, coffee, tea and juice are available all day, staff was knowledgeable and friendly, beds are comfortable, I genuinely did not understand, what people were complaining about. There's a separate fee for parking, but that's nothing uncommon.

- Eric (6/5): Great location, reasonable value, but the hotel could use a facelift, especially the bathroom vents. - Location of the hotel was excellent. Starbucks across the street and a walkable distance from Universal Studios Hollywood. Neighborhood was clean and quiet enough and seemed relatively safe when compared to other locations in Hollywood. The ventilation in the shower/bathroom is horrible. The smoke alarm went off nearly every time someone exited the shower and opened the bathroom door. In the bathroom, after a hot shower, it was difficult to breathe with the door closed.
- L691SUalexisl (8/5): Good Value All Around - My husband and I were visiting Universal and wanted to stay close enough to walk but save a little money by not staying at one of the big hotels right next to the park. This hotel was about a 20 minute walk and saved us a big chunk of change! Our room was very clean and had a king bed, mini fridge, microwave, and TV... so pretty much just what we needed with no frills. We appreciated that there were plenty of outlets around the room, including both sides of the bed. There is a super yummy Thai restaurant RIGHT next door that made us gluten free food fresh to order which we took back and ate in our room while we watched TV, and there is a Starbucks right across the street, but with the mini fridge and free coffee in the lobby you don't really need to go there! The location of the hotel is quite noisy so if you are a light sleeper maybe bring some earplugs. When we visit Universal with the entire family this is where we will be staying!

- Martha (9/5): Fun stay and great location - we would stay there again! - Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Kaja, who gave us great tips on how best to enjoy Universal Studios! Without his advice we would have overlooked some of the most fun attractions there. Thank you Tilt Hotel and Kaja for a really fun family trip! We brought ear plugs because we had read that the walls are thin. They are. (But all the noises were families with kids.) We had low expectations for the pool because we’d read reviews ahead of time. It was old and small, as described, and the heater was broken during our stay so it was chilly chilly! But it was clean enough we could still use it and the kids still had fun freezing.

- Reggie (8/5): Great location. - location is great, very close to universal studios, and a short drive to everywhere else room is a bit outdated, minor things about the room make the room subpar such as rust spots on lamps and around electrical outlets, a sink in the living room area of the room that was already clogged, lamp shade next to the bed looks like it caught fire at one point in time and never got replaced and also has lots of dust on it. Also paid extra for the larger king bed room, but it seemed like a waste of money because the extra space wasn’t filled in with furniture. So basically you get all the same furniture as the smaller room, just in a bigger room so it feels really empty. I’d give the hotel an overall 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Toilet was clogged when we checked in and we had to use the lobby restroom until the maintenance staff could fix it the next day.
