Boek een kamer met uitzicht op de rivier, het uitzicht is een van de mooiste ever! Mensen supervriendelijk. Levendige lobby met een bar plus barman die fijne cocktails maakt. Ontbijt uitstekend in klassieke ontbijtzaal Niets veel tegen in dit hotel nadat we eerst 2 nachten in en ander hotel zaten dat hip was en modern ingericht maar 2x zo duur en veel minder warm en hartelijk.

• Eric (9/5): Excellent: central et confortable offrant “good convenience for quite reasonable money” - L’hôtel est bien à beaucoup de points de vue: rénovation récente, chambres de bonne taille, très bonne literie, belle salle de bain (mes 190cm jambes fléchies se sont même trouvés bien dans la micro-baignoire), eau bien chaude rapide et à profusion, bon petit-déjeuner, service aimable multilingue à la fois discret et efficace, 2 chaînes TV en Français, bon rapport qualité prix. L’hôtel seul vaut 8, sa situation centrale à proximité quasi immédiate du Ponté Vecchio portent l’évaluation à 9, 5 d’autant plus que l’environnement s’avère parfaitement calme la nuit. Bar et service bar pauvrets, bâtiment labyrinthique en cas de besoin d’évacuation

The breakfast staff was the best wait service I had in Italy. The downstairs bar was friendly and had free hot bites. Could use better pillows.

• Andrew (10/5): Fantastic. - Beautiful hotel in a perfect riverside location. Our room had stunning views of the Ponte Vecchio. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spotless and housekeeping every day. Hotel is situated 5 mins from the Duomo and everything Florence has to offer. Some of the room furniture was beginning to show its age.

L'emplacement magique, sur les quais, entre le Ponte Vecchio et Santa Trinita. Le lit simple de 110 cm, très confortable. La douche manquant de pression, et sans rideau ni paroi pour protéger la très petite salle d'eau, qui s'en trouvait inondée, tandis que se rincer était compliqué et prenait beaucoup de temps. Ce fut une source de stress.

• O84TXchrisd (10/5): An excellent hotel - Arriving in Florence by train from Venice, a very reasonably priced taxi took us to the hotel through back streets and alleys which seemed to have pedestrian priority with much horn blowing! To be fair, walking to the hotel entrance from the road was not particularly inspiring but the hotel itself certainly had the wow factor. The reception staff were superb and their knowledge of the English language was amazing! Walked to our spacious and comfortable room to open the windows and shutters for a glorious view of the River Arno and the Ponte Vecchio; shortly followed by five flypasts by two aircraft of the Italian Airforce aerobatic team! The hotel is well positioned for all that Florence has to offer including very good coffee shops and restaurants. And as for the Duomo; what an amazing place and well worth a visit. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

• janmQ265JI (6/5): No air conditioning - First of all, the staff at the hotel were exceptional, from the front desk to the breakfast staff and especially Jonathan at the lobby bar. However, we will probably never stay here again. We paid almost $400 a night for our upgraded room. When we asked about turning on the air conditioning in our room, we were told that the hotel wouldn’t turn the air on until Monday, April 20. So we had to open our windows and were awakened all during the night for 5 nights from the street noise. Other guests also complained to the front desk and were told the same thing. A 4 star hotel does not do this to guests, completely unacceptable!

There were so many staff at Breakfast who were very attentive. When settling the bill, they asked for a no obligation tip for the staff. We don’t tip much in Australia, but on this occasion, we were happy to. The beds and pillows were on the hard side.

Our room which was a standard room was tiny there was no air conditioning as it was too early in the season there was no tea or coffee making facilities you had to request which is far from 4 star standard, the reception team wireless just say efficient, no desire to help with any advice, it felt like you were imposing on their time when you went to reception, wouldn’t return

• Angela (10/5): A fabulous hotel - We stayed at Hotel Berchielli for five nights in April. We had two rooms between three of us, conveniently located next door to each other on the fifth floor. Our stay was fantastic. The hotel has an art deco/nouveau atmosphere to it and the staff deliver an old-fashioned quality service which makes it feel very special. The rooms and bathrooms have everything you need, together with lots of space and the furnishings are beautiful. Breakfast offers an extensive selection of hot and cold options, meats, cheeses, fish, eggs, cereals, salad, fruit, pastries, juices, teas, coffees - something for everyone. They even wrote my husband's name in the froth of his cappuccino! Front desk helped with restaurant bookings, cars to and from the airport and luggage storage. The bar had a good range of drinks and snacks. The location of the hotel is amazing. There are a couple of entrances, into a small street one way, which leads to other streets, shops and restaurants. The other way straight out onto the river. Everything is within close walking distance, fantastic for exploring. We loved it! The walls are thin, so you could hear your neighbour. But, I took earplugs as I always do for holidays, and didn't need them. Very quiet at night. I found the mattress absolutely fine (and I often don't) my husband normally sleeps well on anything, but found this one a little too firm for his liking.

• NicolaDWales (8/5): Superb location; typically Italian - Excellent location on the river Arno. Conveniently located for all of the sights and shopping areas of Florence. Staff were all formally dressed, immaculately turned out and attentive. It’s a very traditional hotel, with what many might describe as old fashioned decor and furniture but it’s beautiful, immaculate and something of a maze to navigate around! Beds were comfortable, pillows rather thin and disappointing. On the first night, staff came in to turn down the bed, leave out slippers and switch on lamps, which was welcoming when we returned. Breakfast is good, though not much variation and it would have been nice to have full fat Greek yoghurt offered, not just low fat. One other constructive criticism is that we asked for a glass of red wine at the bar upon our return to the hotel on our last night but were given wine from the ‘last bottle that had been opened’. It wasn’t good. It would have been nice to be able to select our own wine. A lovely stay, overall.

Beaucoup de service et un salon agréable ou l’on peut boire un verre. 37 euros la nuit au parking et un service de voiturier peu académiques pour qui est soucieux de son véhicule. Vous ne savez ni qui ni où va votre véhicule.

The cleaning staff uses something that has an extremely strong floral scent. I'm quite sensitive to perfumes, so it triggered a headache. We solved it by opening the windows and airing the room out, but in retrospect, I should have mentioned something to the front desk.
