KarenLFJ (2/5): A tired hotel in disrepair - Absolutely! We can sharpen the critique while giving credit where it’s due. Let’s balance it out. ⸻ My recent stay at the London Marriott Hotel Park Lane was frustrating and far from deserving of its five-star label. I’ll begin by acknowledging the staff: they were genuinely warm, professional, and tried their best to help. Unfortunately, their kindness could not compensate for the hotel’s poor condition. The rooms were in visible disrepair: stained carpets, torn headboards, and minimal amenities. These weren’t minor issues; they were glaring. Despite raising concerns with three staff members, all they offered was a room change—after we’d already settled in at the end of a long trip. No partial refund or rate adjustment was even considered, though we paid full price for two rooms. To make matters worse, the shower swung from warm to freezing without any adjustment. When I confronted them, the excuse was that renovations are happening room by room. If that’s the case, renting out rooms in this condition is inexcusable. A five-star hotel should never treat guests this way—no matter how lovely the staff are.

His service was outstanding—he was so attentive, always ensuring we were comfortable, and truly went above and beyond. He was knowledgable, and humorous. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend, would return.

So all the cakes etc.. were really warm and melted chocolate on the small cakes. They did look nice but had to wait ages for the correct savoury order. We did get an apology from the manager and an extra glass of Prosecco each.

markilewis (10/5): Ambassador stay - I don’t often stay in this property, but every time I do, I am reminded of how happy it makes me feel to be there. The lounge is wonderful, food portions generous and perfectly acceptable drinks options. The spa and gym are at the expected 5 star level and whilst the rooms do vary in size, I have yet to be unhappy with any offered. The whole team did a great job, but a special call out to Carmela for her warm and effortless service. No hotel can be truly 5 star without people who care this much.
A4932JZsophies (10/5): Botanical afternoon tea - We came for the botanical afternoon tea over the weekend, we had been speaking with a lovely lady named Marie over email who helped us with our booking, we had a gift voucher that we were having trouble redeeming and Marie was a great help! We had a lovely afternoon, the savoury items were delicious, the scones and cakes were beautiful and fresh, the restaurant was gorgeous and everybody we spoke to was incredibly friendly and attentive. We were looked after by Vivian. Vivian made our day! He introduced himself when he arrived at our table and asked both of us our names, he remembered and addressed us by name throughout the afternoon which we thought was a lovely touch. Vivian was very knowledgeable about the different teas, talked us through the menu and made a few recommendations. A small group of us came for the botanical afternoon tea back in 2018, we loved it and have been meaning to come back ever since. 8 years later, it definitely did not disappoint. We think it was even better this time around! Thank you to everyone who looked after us. Highly recommend.

EEEEA1234 (10/5): Best Marriott portfolio hotel in London - I stayed here many times but returned for the first time since 7 years ago. The hotel is kept up well, wonderful rooms, great service, great lounge. Rooms are well appointed and furnishings are of high quality. Everything in the hotel screams “we are proud of our high standards”. Only complaint from me is the gym being small and equipment not that adequate. As opposed to the Le Meridien Taipei which was my most horrible experience with Marriott Bonvoy, this hotel is the polar opposite - it’s how Marriotts should be.

The location is perfect across from Hyde Park, shopping on Oxford street . Incredible Restaurants in Mayfair and easy access to subway and buses. The rooms are very beautiful,quiet,so comfortable and well appointed. We love it here and the staff is amazing. A big Thank you to Martha ! She made us so welcome and took wonderful care of us. To summarise, it is a fabulous hotel located very conveniently right next to Marble Arch tube. Service was impeccable. The rooms are beautifully laid out and the amenities are luxurious. We had breakfast at the restaurant on all three days. We also ate lunch on one day. Although the vegetarian choices were limited, food was excellent. We were served by Vivian and he was very attentive and prompt with his response to our requests. We will be back at the hotel soon!

r0landism (10/5): Great brunch - Visited the hotel for a short stay with friends, we enjoyed the close proximity to everything. Vivian, the waiter in the breakfast area was very accommodating and pleasant, made our stay even more joyful.

Abeer (8/5): Apart from the above, everything was perfect. - The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They are very attentive. The location of the hotel is great and suits my needs. The AC had a very loud noise. Maintenance were called in and the problem was solved. The bed did not have a head board and this is very uncomfortable particularly if you needed to lay your head back. The pillows are extremely uncomfortable. they are too small and low. They need to be bigger and a bit higher to support the neck. they also need to be softer. The food menu in the Hotel's restaurant is very basic and a bit limited. Same applies to room service. There is margin to improve.

Adventure01692074824 (10/5): Afternoon tea experience - Visited in the new year for afternoon tea with a friend. We were greeted and serviced by Vivian and team throughout the afternoon. The definition of warm hospitality ❤️ The food and tea were delicious! Vivian made some really good tea recommendations and even offered more refills. My friend and I left feeling very happy. Would definitely recommend!
menaif (10/5): Perfect hotel - Literally everything Staying at Marriott park lane exceeded my expectations... I stayed for 8 nights.. they allowed me for early check-in (almost 5 hours before official time 🤗) Staff were extremely welcoming, they just keep smiling all the time to all guests 😊 Restaurant is cosy and have very good breakfast options which you can choose from the menu.. Rooms are big enough and it has what ever you need.. bathroom is just as you wish to have , it has heated WC with water system which is very convenient .. location is perfect between Oxford Street and Hyde Park.. highly recommend 👌 👍 Nothing

Starting form the warm welcoming and helpful staff. Great Location all the attractions are 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.I highly recommend booking a stay at Marriott Park Lane. Also I would like to thank Vivian he was so nice and cooperative and made my stay joyful!

Seng100 (10/5): Amazing experience at a great hotel in the center of the city - This is a first rate hotel that offers everything that I look for in such an establishment - great, attentive professional service from a highly motivated and well-trained staff, beautifully appointed room and great location to boot. Arrival was met promptly by the front staff and my check-in processed efficiently, I was called by my name by other members of the staff as soon as I left the front-desk walking to the elevator - at my room when the staff came to turn down the room and at the executive lounge when I came for a beverage. This attention to detail and offer of a very personalized experience enamored me to this establishment from the get-go - even though I was here on business. The room was of a good size, pleasantly decorated and adorned with furnishings that fit from an aesthetics perspective - this is not your typical Marriott but a super-Marriott that exceeds what I have experienced in many of their higher-end cousins. The room had ample and facile access to power outlets, the bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom was well designed and laid-out. Temperature control was a little sluggish - but probably because it is set for winter climate "only" and the water pressure from the shower could be a little stronger. Location was excellent (obviously) but I have to say that the hotel's greatest asset is its staff. Food (and staff) at the executive lounge (breakfast and snacks) was amazing (for a lounge) - definitely recommend signing up for access. Well done and thank you - I will plan on returning at the next opportunity.
Fakhera (9/5): I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely come back. - Amazing location near Oxford Street and popular attractions. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The room was clean and well-organized, and the bed was very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that the lobby was quite small. I would have preferred a larger lobby with a café offering afternoon tea.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Mayfair with stunning views of Hyde Park and easy access to Oxford Street. What truly sets this hotel apart is the caliber of its staff. We would like to extend a special thank you to Mr. Vivian for his exceptional service. He made our return visit truly memorable, and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

He was incredibly kind, professional, and made me feel very welcome. F2264BDkeiths (10/5): Steakhouse / VIP Treatment - Last night 13th Dec was my birthday, which I shared with my daughter who surprised me with a lavish meal at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane Steakhouse restaurant. The evening was one of my best experiences eating out, the service was impeccable and the ambiance was truly fitting for such a wonderful eating experience. A very special mention to the staff who took the time with me and my daughter choosing , advising and listening- A very special shout out to Luca, magnificent and a guy who exudes every trait you could wish for when it came to service and attentiveness, also a mention to Genesis who was lovely and caring, Robert working the bar, Nick the Concierge who knew everyone, they all had the Xmas spirit with a lovely warm friendly charm - We both loved it and thank you JD Marriott, take a bow.
