La nostra stanza era davvero piccola, con arredamento abbastanza datato, moquette molto macchiata e male insonorizzata. Durante la notte, infatti, si sentiva un forte rumore (immagino legato al funzionamento dell'ascensore in quanto la stanza era molto vicina) e rumori vari provenienti dal corridoio comune. Per raggiungere la nostra stanza all'ottavo piano era necessario prendere un primo ascensore fino al primo e poi attraverso un corridoio prendere un secondo ascensore per gli altri piani con capienza di massimo 3/4 persone (molto piccolo e claustrofobico) che spesso era occupato, essendo l'unico. Questo ha generato diverse attese soprattutto nelle ore di punta.

- Alessandra (9/5): Ottimo soggiorno nel cuore di Roma - Abbiamo soggiornato al River Palace Hotel e l’esperienza è stata davvero molto positiva. La posizione è perfetta, a pochi passi da Piazza del Popolo e comodissima per visitare Roma sia a piedi che con i mezzi pubblici. Il personale si è dimostrato estremamente gentile, professionale e sempre disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza. La struttura è elegante, pulita e accogliente, con un’atmosfera tranquilla nonostante la zona centrale. La colazione è varia e di qualità, ottima per iniziare la giornata. Le camere sono curate e confortevoli; forse alcune un po’ compatte, ma comunque ben organizzate e piacevoli. Nel complesso un soggiorno eccellente, ideale per chi vuole vivere Roma con comfort e tranquillità.

Our room was very small and the bathroom tiny. To get to our room we had to take one lift to the first floor, walk approximately 100 yards round a corridor then a further lift to third floor. Breakfast was very average.

La colazione è stata molto piacevole e completa, ed il vicino pareggio convenzionato con l'hotel ha reso il viaggio molto comodo. La vista dalla finestra era molto bella. Hanno esaudito la nostra richiesta di avere una vasca e hanno accolto il nostro cagnolino e la nostra pappagallina con piacere (e gratuitamente). La posizione è comodissima per visitare Roma a piedi (o con i mezzi). Punti a sfavore: le prese elettriche normali erano scomode da raggiungere, c'erano invece delle prese usb-C sopra i comodini ma noi non avevamo i cavi adatti... Crediamo mancasse l'areazione in bagno, forse era nascosta o leggera ma non si sentiva e siamo stati costretti ad aprire la finestra della camera da letto dall'altra parte della stanza.

- Lorena (4/5): Small room - The staff was exceptionally polite and always available, which made the entire stay very smooth and pleasant. The property was also impeccably clean, with everything feeling well-maintained and almost new. In that sense, the overall quality and upkeep of the hotel were truly excellent. Our room was extremely small and quite uncomfortable. It was so tight that my husband and I couldn’t even move around in it at the same time, and there wasn’t enough space to fit our luggage either.

- Louis (9/5): Extremely pleasant hotel to stay at in Rome - Second time we stayed here. Great hotel except Room 303 was extremely small especially bathroom. The first time we stayed here we had a larger room which was great. This could just be we were late reserving a room and this was our only choice for size. Hotel is close to Flaminio subway station which makes it very convenient to get around city.Breakfast is exceptional with an absolutely great staff. Size of room 303

This Hotel May Steal You Money! - Be warned, this hotel refused to give me a refund for a seven night stay I had booked and paid for several months before when I was unable to arrive in Rome due to the fact that the pilots from the airline I was flying went on strike. As you can see from my reviews about hotels on this site, I travel a lot. So, I understand the way a good and honorable hotel will treat their customers. And, this is not it! To tell my story, approximately thirty-six hours before I was to fly to Rome, I get a notice from Lufthansa Airlines that they were experiencing a strike, and my flight had been cancelled. As this occurred last minute, I could not find another flight to get me to Rome on time. Due to this fact, I contacted River Palace Hotel with this information and asked for a refund. Here is their reply. “Thank you for your message and for informing us about your situation. We are sorry to hear about the disruption to your travel plans due to the flight cancellation. Unfortunately, according to the terms and conditions of your booking, the reservation is non-refundable. However, we can provide you with a confirmation of your booking, including all applicable terms and conditions. You may use this documentation to submit a claim with your travel insurance or the airline in order to request reimbursement of the costs. We understand the inconvenience this situation may cause and remain at your disposal should you need any further assistance. Kind regards, Tetyana Filyants Deputy Manager” As nice as that message sounds, this means they are keeping approximately two-thousand dollars of my money. I believe we can all understand that is simply the wrong way to do business. There is absolutely no reason that they cannot refund my money. And, no excuse they claim will make their decision just, decent, or acceptable. They are STEALING my money simply because of a situation that was completely out of my control! Keep this in mind, as it may happen to you if you book a room at this hotel.

- Katarzyna (6/5): - Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ist fantastisch Die Zimmer sind WINZIG und sehr dunkel im Bad kann man sich kaum bewegen, die Dusche ist oben montiert, sie lässt sich nicht in die Hand nehmen, so ist das Waschen der Haare sehr mühsam, am Anfang des Aufenthalts wird die Kaution von 100 Franken erhoben, es ist mir noch nie passiert, dabei ist das Hotel so in die Jahre gekommen, es ist mir ein Rätsel, wieso diese Kaution erhoben wird

- Ydnew67 (9/5): A great 2 night stay. We would definitely stay here again. - We loved the location. A few minutes walk from Flaminio metro station- so easy access to the rest of the city. However, if you didn't want to travel by Metro, many of the sights of Rome were within a walkable distance. Great bars/ restaurants in the area too.

- Eirini (8/5): - Η τοποθεσία ήταν ο, τι καλύτερο, σε πάρα πολύ κεντρικό σημείο ( δίπλα στην piazza Di popolo) ,20 λεπτά με τα πόδια από την Fontana Di trevi. Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό. Όταν κάναμε check out μπορούσαμε να καθίσουμε στο σαλόνι του ξενοδοχείου και να εξυπηρετηθούμε μέχρι να αναχωρήσουμε! Το περιβάλλον ήταν ονειρικό! Η τουαλέτα είχε ένα πολύ βοηθητικό καθρεφτάκι στο πλάι. Το δωμάτιο πεντακάθαρο! Το δωμάτιο για 2 άτομα ήταν πολύ μικρό και στενό σε σημείο που τη μία βαλίτσα δυσκολεύτηκαμε να την ανοίξουμε. Και όταν φεύγαμε ήταν δύσκολο να φτιάξουμε τις βαλίτσες γιατί δεν είχε αρκετό χώρο!

Used to include breakfast but now it is charged. You have to take 2 small elevators to get to the lobby. No water provided in the room. Pillows are old and lumpy. No porter. No restaurant.

- Cameron (7/5): Good location, nice hotel - It has unique style and artwork in the hotel which gives it a nice roman vibe. Our complaint about the noisy room was listened to The staff were aware our stay was for a big anniversary and we were left a nice note and 4 sweets in the room. However, on our first night we kept hearing lots of water which sounded like a large bucket being tipped over, then it happened again and again throughout the night. Turns out the drains pipe was on the other side of our wall and it was so loud. The next day we asked if we could swap rooms due to noise and the receptionist said theyre full so cant move us. As soon as drains were mentioned, suddenly we were able to be upgraded to a bigger and quieter room.
