Guest Reviews
- BakirSA (2/5): DON'T Stay at this Hotel if your respect your time - Disrespectful behaviour.
DON'T recommend make any Bookings at this Hotel.
Hope upper management will pay attention on it. I will keep posting reviews until my case will be resolved.
Made Booking through Booking.com. According to the Booking.com this Hotel accepts Booking.com policy, not their own when clients making reservation through Booking.
On the same day I made reservation I sent cancellation request through Booking with the option not charge any fees.
No one reacted on the same day, only when 24 hours passed and they had to react they declined the request.
Then I called to the Booking.com Customer service and they confirmed that this Hotel is responsible for cancellation free of charge.
When I sent the message to the Hotel they simply ignored Booking.com response.
I hope upper management will hear and help to cancel the reservation.

- athenam417 (8/5): Great hotel - It's some distance from the city center/main hbf. But there's dependable public transport (we took bus to a resto to dine out at night). Can't recall the train lines going there but no need to wait much going to and from the hotel. The basic room is very cramped but the bed was a good balance between soft and hard (I have a hard time sleeping in any place other than at home) and we all had a restful sleep maybe due to the fact that we were tired coming from Austria.
We had to ask for a kitchen box so we could cook as nobody wanted to go out right after checking in (there's a Penny grocery across the street but my son brought groceries before we checked in elsewhere). The kitchen space is very small, see attached photo, but we only cooked fried eggs and sausages nothing fancy.
Still, we were very satisfied as Munich is quite expensive. No complaints over the service (being Asian and brown skinned I am very sensitive to racism), the bathrooms, the cleanliness, etc. It's a small hotel but looked to be busy and full when we stayed there.
- Trek24521564621 (10/5): A flat with the advantages of a hotel, in a quit place, close to everything. - For those who want a flat but with the advantages of a hotel, this is the ideal place. And with Munich's excellent transport network, it's close to everything. There's a supermarket next door, which is also excellent. It is located in a quiet area of the city. We stayed here in December last year and returned this October. Many thanks to Mr. Stefan Gabbert for all his support and assistance.
- Claudia (10/5): - Cerca de la estación de metro, un lugar cómodo y silencioso
- Katie (10/5): - Really nice hotel, reasonably priced in a lovely area not too far from City Center, but far enough to skip the noise.
- Kent23366 (8/5): Good, reasonably priced. Quiet location. Easy trip into the city centre. - Only 4 stops from Munich Main Station and a very short walk from the Siberhornstrasse U-bahn station, the hotel felt like a bit of a find! The room was quite small but we'd booked a room with a balcony, which made everything feel a bit bigger and more spacious. In late August we were able to relax on our balcony after a day of sightseeing. The area is quiet and residential. There is a small supermarket only steps away and a restaurant across the small road.
The breakfast was pleasant and plentiful.
Bottom line is that for this price range in a European city, the hotel and its location were good value and I'd stay there again.
- Annette (8/5): - Clean comfortable hotel close to transport links.
We enjoyed our stay.
Thank you!
- Erica (8/5): - This is a big hotel near the Silberhornstraße in Munich. There are some large tour groups that hunker down here, but I found it a nice quiet place to rest. We used a local laundromat and we didn't do the expensive breakfast, but went around the corner to a sweet cafe instead.
- Katherine (10/5): - Comfortable room and there was a fridge, which meant that we could store food
It was nice to have a balcony.
Staff were really friendly and the hotel was near the underground station and in a safe, clean area.
- Elena (8/5): Highly recommend - The location of this hotel was perfect for us as it was a 10 minute walk from where family was living, and the Ubahn. The room was a little small, but had many amenities. Breakfast was very good. The people at the hotel were very helpful in showing us many ways to get to the sites we wanted to see.
- 513adriennez (8/5): Great hotel, a bit out of the way - The pros: comfortable beds, big fridge, two burner stove, coffee machine and 4 daily coffees, lots of storage, door separating the sleeping and kitchen area, patio with seating for 2, great AC.
The cons: a bit out if the way, 20-25 mins on the train to most sites.
Highly recommend this hotel. It’s is in a neighbourhood with several Penny stores within a 5 mins walk for your daily needs, felt very safe, yes it’s a bit of a journey to the sites but worth it to come back to a quiet hotel. Lots of restaurants, including fast food within a few mins walk. The subway in 3 mins walk away from the hotel.
- Dr D. Derya (10/5): - I stayed one night, but the hotel was great. The staff memebrs would be a bit warm and friendly. I can use this hotel again but will book it directly from their website not from Expedia
- Daryush (8/5): - The gym had no exercise equipment besides a treadmill and bike
- Sarah (10/5): - This was an excellent hotel for us. It was very clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. Our rooms all had fridges, tea and coffee, and microwave ovens. There are two Penny grocery stores very close by, and a larger Aldi about a 12-minute walk away. The hotel is in a quiet area and is a very short 3-minute walk to the Silberhornstrasse Bahn station. This was so convenient for going anywhere we wanted to in Munich. We were visiting for a meeting at the International Conference Centre, which is on the same U-bahn line, which was convenient. We were happy that we did not stay out by the conference centre because we visited around the Marienplatz and central areas each evening. The only downside is that the gym is very small and poorly equipped. If you want to use the sauna of an evening, let the front desk know about 20 minutes beforehand and you can have that experience as well :)
- yakermary (10/5): Nice stay - Hotel is located within a 5 min walk to trains. The staff helped me figure out how to use the trains and I sent them an email before I arrived and they told me exactly what trains to take to get to the hotel. Room was clean and bright and was cleaned daily . Staff was helpful . I got to the hotel very early and they held my bags for me so I could go explore the town. The fridge in the room was a nice touch.
- SUDHIR (8/5): - Evening Reception did not make any effort to provide an iron to me - I even offered to pick it up.
- Marina (8/5): - Sehr nettes Hotel mit guter Anbindung an das öffentliche Verkehrsnetz und sehr saubere Zimmer.
- Jonathon (10/5): - This property was perfect for my partner and myself, we absolutely loved the safe, quiet neighbourhood the hotel is situated in. The perfect spot to explore the city from.
- carmeny92 (10/5): Our stay in Munich - The rooms are clean and comfortable. We loved the little kitchenette. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly, efficient and helpful. We plan to go to Munich December 2025 and we will definitely stay in the same hotel. The hotel is very near the underground and there's a little supermarket very near too . I totally recommend it
- Matthew (8/5): - The hotel was close to a transport station , supermarket and other shops. The room was comfortable amd had a good shower. I was disappointed with the lift however since 1 lift had to service both guests and housekeepers. The other lift was out of order for the entire stay. I suspect it has been like that for a while. The breakfast was good yet cooked food could have been warmer and could have been varied. Another coffee machine or two could have helped too.
- Julia (10/5): - We got a very good treatment at the hotel. It was comfortable, cozy and quiet.
- Deirdre (10/5): Well located hotel for the city centre - Well located hotel for transport to the city centre. Not many pubs in the area but a few restaurants.
- Chunmeng (10/5): - Breakfast at the hotel was very good. There arr restaurant nearby. There is a park nearby for running the morning. The subway is close.
- Juergen (10/5): - The Hotel is in a quiet, but very accessible neighborhood; subway and bus stops a few minutes away, with easy access to downtown. It is well maintained with very friendly staff. Our room, incl. the bathroom, was nice and exceptional clean, it had a kitchenette. The breakfast area is very nice decorated with plenty of seating. The breakfast is exceptionally good with lots of variety (local and international options)!! Antonella, one of the hostesses, was very friendly and attentive to what needed to be cared for, incl cleaning and setting up so that the tables were ready. We appreciated her acknowledging the guests, incl. nice friendly greeting.
We stayed for 4 nights and found the hotel very comfortable and highly recommend it. We have nothing negative to say and did not encounter any problems. We would stay again!
One drawback was that the in-house restaurant was closed during our visit (Sept 6-10). We are sure that based on the hotel's great reputation, the restaurant would meet the same standard.
- Sara (10/5): Great value great neighbourhood - Great location; clean, comfortable and good value. Very good transport links
- Rodolfo (10/5): - The day clerk Lucero was very helpful to guide us on how to get around the metro
- impartialspectator (8/5): Can recommend - Stayed here for a night, en route from Prague to Lucca in Italy. It was in the middle of Oktoberfest, so prices were insane across town. (About twice what it normally is.) This hotel was one of the few decent options left and I have to say I was positively surprised. Pretty good room, with a balcony to boot, with enough space for a two chairs and a table. Not that I used it.
Bed was good, wifi was good, all clean and in good order. The in-house restaurant was closed on the day I was there (Monday) but there's a restaurant across the street that looks decent (and was recommended by the front desk) and a Penny supermarket about 100 meters away which had enough of a wine selection.
While not directly in the center of the city, the hotel is 4 subway stops away from Central Station, and from the subway stop (Silberhornstraße) to the hotel it is about 200 meters. Easy peasy.
- jose M (10/5): - Didn’t like : requested a room with a balcony and the balcony was facing all the air conditioners units and storage. The room was nice, but the balcony view was horrible.
- Trina (10/5): - Wonderful location. Room was very nice
- Michael (10/5): - Great location with plenty of local amenities
- tommasof590 (2/5): Charged Extra cost - Warning!!!
After my permanence in the hotel I received an charged many some hundred euros for a presunt presumed damaged of a good already broken before my arriva.
I suggest to perform an deep inspection of room to avoid extra cost from this hotel!!
- Maritza (6/5): - The hotel was nice overall, but definitely needed a little more amenities like a coffee maker in the room or a refrigerator. It was close to the train station. It was very easy to get to and from the city to old Munich.
- Jill (8/5): Ok for short stay - Hotel quite a walk from the main city but plenty of transport options within 5 minutes walk. Although clean rooms were on the small side. Some areas were tired looking.
- Laura (10/5): - Hotel was lovely and staff was warm and welcoming. Close to transit which was great. Would absolutely stay again.
- Jaswinder (10/5): - Great hotel with comfy beds! Staff are super welcoming! Metro is like a 1 min walk away and there is a coffee shop round the corner which does the best hot and cold drinks! City centre is like a 30 min walk from here but on a sunny day it’s perfect to make that journey on foot!
- Igor (10/5): Great for few days - Not very new but quirt and useful plase near metro station. Room have mini kitchen.
- Mary Monicca (10/5): - Staff in guest service was excellent. Loved the self serve laundry facilities. Some great don I g options at hotel and in the local area
- Erica (10/5): - Pleasant, reasonable sized room. The location is good -- it's pretty easy to reach the alt stadt by public transportation and there are cafes and restaurants around the hotel -- we especially liked the Croatian one across the street.
- 548patm (8/5): Nice hotel on a quiet street. - Really good hotel in a nice neighbourhood just a short hop on the U-bahn to Marienplatz. The hotel is on a quiet street so getting to sleep is easy enough. I found the staff friendly and the room very clean. Would stay again when in Munich. The hotel is also a short walk away from some really nice bakeries and coffee shops.
- Christina (10/5): - Very nice hotel for the price. The room had a balcony, bathroom area that could be closed off from the bedroom, and plenty of storage for all of our things. The breakfast buffet was amazing too. Loved that the hotel was close to the metro train station too.
- Irene (10/5): Amazing hotel! - This hotel was amazing! Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was close to public transportation and to a small grocery store across the street. I will recommend this property to everyone and I will look for it on our next trip to Munich.
- SHANNON (10/5): - Stephan and his team looked after us very well during our 2 week stay! Such a super friendly and often very humorous front desk staff that made you feel a part of their family. They all spoke very good English too! Beautiful restaurant for evening dining or their extensive continental breakfastall. They even have laundry facilities there too (bonus). It was sad to leave but if we ever visit Munich again, this is the hotel we're staying in!
- Justin (10/5): - I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. From the balcony in our room to the breakfast buffet, everything delighted me immediately. I would not hesitate to stay here again, or at any other of their hotels.
- Debra (10/5): - The Hotel was quite nice. It was very clean, the front office staff were very nice and helpful. The room was very spacious, looked recently updated and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony area after a busy day. The metro was close by and their were good restaurents within walking distance.
- jaimerQ4701WM (2/5): Dirty Room, Atrocious customer service - This is NOT a four star hotel. The room was not clean. There was a fresh blood stain on the duvet and pubic hair on bed sheets. After arrive from a travel day my senior mother and I were in our pjs getting into bed when I noticed the blood stain on the duvet, I pulled it back and found the pubic hair, there was also short black hairs on the pillow.
I called the receptionist to inform them of the issue, a man came up, it was awkward because we were already undressed and just requested new bedding and we would change them ourselves and would address the issues next day as we had a full day of things planned and needed to get some sleep. The floors were not clean we found a used bandaid on the floor. zero apology from hotel staff, disgusting and deplorable. The receptionist was rude and not helpful. We ended up leaving the hotel because we lost confidence and didn’t want to stay there for another second. We ended up rebooking at Holiday Inn City Cente, a night and day difference. When speaking to another guest in the elevator at the Holiday Inn about our experience at the Leonardo he was not surprised. He said they have a reputation for bad service and uncleanly rooms to save money. Booked the reservation with Priceline that noted the Leonardo as a four star hotel (as I said before far far from it) 10/10 Horrible experience will never come back here, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to someone I didn’t like. The sister company to Priceline couldn’t even get the hotel to respond to them, even though there were four men working front desk. The receptionist Thomas Frey should be fired or really reconsider a job outside the service industry, he was terrible. We are just happy to be out of there and in a reputable hotel.
- SHANNON (8/5): - Great staff and amenities!
- Tania Adrienne (10/5): - A wonderful property for a great price! So convenient to public transportation. Right across the street to the market. Delicious breakfast buffet. Near many shops and restaurants. The kitchenette was great to have. We will be back!
- Ivana (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Amazing hotel. We had a balcony and were able to have a meal sat in the balcony the night we arrived. There is a huge variety for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and the room is spacious, comfortable and clean. We would definitely return again.
- Michael (10/5): - Value
- Paul Francis (10/5): - High quality and good value
- Quan (10/5): - Amazing breakfast buffet
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very noisy!!! Tea in the room was gross, brown rings inside mug and tasted nasty. 20 euros to park. Front desk not helpful or friendly. Gave us wrong direction to subway.
- Alberto Seseña (8/5): - Good place to stay for short period
- David (10/5): - It was a nice hotel
- Mark (10/5): - Very nice hotel in a quiet area outside the center of the city. Close to the subway so it made getting around easy. Very nice breakfast Buffett. Overall very nice hotel. Would stay there again.
- chris (10/5): - This is a well maintained older property close to public transport. Neighborhood was clean and seemed safe. Staff were helpful.
- Eduardo (8/5): - OK hotel, close to subway station. Room was clean, stay was pleasant.
- amnon (2/5): - Had booked for my colleagues from Ukraine attending a conference - they were not able to get approvals in time to depart Kyiv and Hotel would not accept cancelation - understand it was booked with special pricing - but sometimes an exception can be made to rule. What goes around comes around…
- Kyle (10/5): Perfect for a business trip - Perfect for a business trip
- Dominic Julian (10/5): - Nice, clean rooms. Extremely pleasant staff. Good breakfast and well located for U2 underground stop straight to Haiptbahnhof and Central Munich. Was also very handy (via U2) for International Conference Centre.
- Hernan (10/5): - Beautiful place and friendly
- Nelson (10/5): Great Stay. Highly Recommended! - I arrived a couple hours before check-in, a little worried I was too early. I was soon checked into a comfortable, modern room. It even had a small balcony.
The room was laid out efficiently and the bed was comfortable. There was a nice little desk area I utilized. There was a nice sized closet and a small little entry area to take off your shoes. The TV even had a few English channels.
The bathroom was functional with a small shower area. There's plenty of room for toiletries. The towel warmer was a nice touch.
The location was excellent too. Less than a five minute walk from a subway station with a restaurant onsite. There were two grocery stores 1-3 minutes away and a bunch of additional restaurants 5-10 minutes away.
All this for an excellent price.
If I'm ever back in Munich, this will be my goto hotel.
- Cindy (6/5): - At check out we were incorrectly charged for restaurant dining when it wasn’t supposed to be for us.
The internet connection is always drop out and slow.
The access cards always having issues, we have to get it fixed multiple times during our stay.
The cleaning is terrible, days cleaning is very late in the evening and for days no cleaning was done.
- Rita (6/5): - It was convenient with transport as the tube is only two minutes walk away but very noisy as there are different bin collections every morning before 7am
- Mihaela (4/5): - Very small room and bathroom. Very expensive for very little
- Wisam (8/5): - Good hotel
- Mihai (8/5): Ok - Good room, nice breakfast. Quick check-in.
Bad: had the do not disturb sign on the door the cleaning team knocked on 2 several occasion.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Loved the idea of the little kitchen area 'in a cupboard', fridge, microwave, kettle and cooker hob, meant we didn't have to go out for every meal. There was a supermarket adjacent to the hotel too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place and not expensive. Very close to train station for easy access all over Munich. Staff were nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property is good, rooms are clean and excellent.. Sauna is definitely a good feature
- Melodee (10/5): Great hotel! - Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly.
- Dan (8/5): - Nice property, great breakfast, a little remote from activities, 45 minutes from airport
- Kerr (6/5): Decent, but book only with a deal/discount. - This hotel is clean and most of the staff are pleasant, there are however a few exceptions. Some noise is noticeable and the bread at breakfast was a bit....hard.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient hotel in a quit place inside the big city. Close to metro station
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay - A reasonable walk from town but worth every step. Staff were helpful and attentive including printing train tickets. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Wifi was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Decent hotel for a short stay - The hotel was fine for a night in Munich. They kept the sauna on for us late at night, which was nice, and despite the hotel not having A/C, the room was comfortable and we slept well. I'd go back again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location! Walking distance to subway and stores.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property was well located to where we wanted to visit. It would really be nice that the hotel have air conditioning or at the least ceiling fans in the rooms.
- Christian (8/5): - It was good, the only thing negative thing was that the shower had no pressure so my friend and I had to shower using a cup.
- Marco (10/5): Nice hand clean hotel - Amazing bathroom, nice and kind staff, nice and spacious room, comfortable bed
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent hotel - Decent hotel but getting very outdated with low quality choice of breakfast
- Sam (8/5): Needs attention to details - The room was comfortable. The kitchen area needed to be cleaned. The bathroom shower leaks a bit but it was hot and nice pressure. The cleaning was not great, no coffee or tea provided either, and even when I asked the front desk they told me to buy coffee from the restaurant. I’ve never been to a hotel in my entire life that would say such a thing. There was a coffee maker and sugar, but she said our room didn’t get free coffee.
The sauna and steam room are AMAZING and saved this hotel. Make sure not to skip using them. The metro stop is close which is nice, and the neighborhood is quiet, but not much around for restaurants or entertainment.
We enjoyed our stay and would return, but they could use some attention to detail.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Would stay again, if slightly cheaper - Very comfortable hotel room with balcony. Set in a lovely area of Munich. No coffee or tea provided in room and free bottle of water tasted horrible. Beds very comfortable and room was very clean. Maybe a bit expensive for what you get.
- Judith (10/5): Nice Hotel - I really enjoy the low key local neighborhood the hotel is located in. Literally 3min walk from Silberhorn Underground station. Awesome little places to eat all around & Penny grocery stores are great for stocking up for train rides. Great staff , super friendly and helpful. Nice little balcony, mini kitchen, comfortable beds, clean ( though a little heavy on the hallway fresher). It was our last stop before heading to the airport so didn’t get to explore much as weather was quite bad, but what I saw I really liked. Post office, library, hospital, parks, restaurants, bakery/coffee all with in 5-10min walk.
- Kaitlyn (10/5): Recommended stay - This hotel was fantastic! The amenities were great, friendly staff, booked the Superior room and was not disappointed. The beds can be pushed together to make a full bed or two twins... which has it's pros and cons. The only things I'd have to say that are missing is a clock in the room and maybe a bath mat in the shower or outside of it to keep from slipping.. the water in the shower went everywhere because of the design of the shower and it was a bit tricky and unsafe getting out of the shower. The sauna was good, had a few choices of wet or dry sauna, check-in and check-out was easy and fast. I'd stay here again!
- Ioana (8/5): Reasonably confortable, a bit expensive - Good hotel, a bit too crowded, the elevator is too small, a single coffee-machine for breakfast for tens of clients is not enough. The price is a bit high for that area and the large size of the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel is very close to U station, so easy to get to all locations quickly. Very quite neighborhood. Nice restaurant and very helpful staffs.
- Marco (4/5): - Slow check in time, old equipment, no shampoo, dark unappealing rooms.
Check out was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): It was a great stay - The staff was very kind and helpful. I arrived in the hotel earlier than the check-in time (3pm), but the receptionist found a room available for me and let me check-in before 3 pm. So I didn't have to wait in the lobby until the check-in time. The room was very clean. I also enjoyed the breakfast. I highly recommend this place!
- Timothy (8/5): Leonardo make it happen AC AC AC!!! - The food at the restaurant in this Leonardo was very good. The comfort was not good.
NO air conditioner...it was very hot. There was NO answer at the service desk the front desk would not pick up the phone. The front desk representative was attentive and the moment she was informed by us that we needed a taxi she immediately reserved one for us and we made it to the train station on time good service we were happy we were very hot you must turn the air conditioner on.
Please have one installed. Otherwise we were happy with the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was modern with great amenities. Coffee pot, fridge, and microwave in room. Modern and clean. Has a fan and open windows for cool comfort option. On site bar with great service. Convenient location
- Taylor (8/5): Hotel close to the metro station - Everything was great, the only discomfort was that the queen bed was two double beds next to each other so they would separate from each other, we had to keep pushing the beds together.
- KIM (10/5): - Great place to stay! Safe area, very nice room, close to subway.
- kim (10/5): - Awesome place to stay! Great location!
- Manuel (4/5): - The room no air conditioning a fan don’t work and the room super small
- Trisha (4/5): Small and unfriendly - Hotel was over priced. Room was super small. Staff was unfriendly. Marco from the bar was the best thing in the hotel. He smiled and made us feel welcome. I will return to Germany but I will not rebook the nightmare hotel.
- Jessica (6/5): Isolated - We were able to check in early, which we were grateful for. There isn't much around the hotel. There is one restaurant directly across it and its awesome. We had to take the S bahn and Uber. There isn't much within walking distance. The hotel had a strange smell to it and our bathroom wasn't cleaned very well. The beds are super uncomfortable. If you aren't there to sleep it will be no problem. For the price we paid it wasn't worth it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable but very small rooms - We had a comfortable stay in the hotel. The room was clean but very small. Not sure of access to public transportation as we used Uber after we turned in our rental car. Did not stay too long in the hotel, but it seemed to be a busy place.
- Mark (8/5): Inexpensive and Comfortable - Conveniently located steps from the Silberhornstraße Stop on the U2, 4 stops from the main train station. The neighborhood is relatively quiet but the U Bahn makes it convenient to the downtown action. The room was clean and included a balcony, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a safe. Skip the pricey breakfast, but there is a bakery and two Penny Markt grocery stores within a 5 minute walk.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. But it was quite small for three people but really good location to Marinplts and downtown.
