Guest Reviews
- Julia (6/5): - The staff working at the hotel is great, polite, kind, and accommodating. However, the hotel itself does not represent a rating of a four star hotel but rather its three star hotel. This is my honest and unbiased review after having traveled to four star hotels around the world.
- Verified traveler (6/5): The Room was very clean and big - Reception staff are very helpful. Breakfast ok. The room was facing the busy main road and it was very noisy! The window couldn’t be shut properly as the handle was very loose.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
- Daniel John (10/5): - Nice hotel and breakfast was nice
- Kenneth (10/5): - Nice hotel across the Vltava river. Short walk to the Old Town and easy access to the airport.
Breakfast was great and the room was equipped with coffee and tea.
- Jose (10/5): - Excellent. Morning guy checking me was amazing! I hope there is rooms available next time I’m out in Prague! Room was great. Great location.
- Elijah (6/5): - Ths staff was wonderful and the rooms are very cute, but we requested twins or an additional room and the accommodations were not available.
- Hiroko (2/5): - I booked 2 twin beds, Free WIFI and AC unit but did not get it. wIFI was connected if I was in the front desk building but our room was different building and never connected to WIFI.
- Donald (6/5): - The Hotel is situated on the busy street with a lot of traffic which makes noise. We could not have windows open for that reason. Rooms are spacious, beds are good. Breakfast is basic, it could be better in the 4 star hotel.
The subway station Andel is just 5 minutes walking distance.
- Lourdes Tita (8/5): - Basic hotel but very clean. Near tram & subway stations. A lot of dining options.
Hotel provides body wash/shampoo only, nothing else even if you ask from the front desk.
- Stephen (10/5): - Just perfect
- Cezmi (10/5): Very nice - They had a very nice and clean bathroom, we were a little bit early at check in and late at check out, they didn’t mind at all. Breakfast was included and quite good as well.. they serve nearly everything for breakfast you will not need to spend extra money for it at all.. location was also quite good.. in 5 minutes you can reach all the buses and trams that you can go anywhere easily.. overall it was a good experience with the hotel I will definitely recommend.!
- WAI KIT (8/5): An Excellent Hotel - The location of the hotel is excellent and well connected to the tourist spots. The bus 191 which is 5 min walk will take you to the airport a bit over 1 hour. The Andel station is 7 min walk which has a shopping mall with a huge Tesco supermarket. The room is spacious and the hotel staff are friendly.
- Miroslava (10/5): - Excellent hotel, great breakfast and location
- Miranda (8/5): - We had searched specifically for hotels with air conditioning and La Boutique Hotel showed up in our search, so we assumed they had air conditioning. Perhaps the main building does, but our room was in a separate building a few blocks away and this building did NOT have air conditioning. We had to sleep with the window/door open which meant we could hear a neighbor coughing, people coming and going in the courtyard etc. We also had to walk back to the main building every morning for breakfast. The breakfast was great, lots of choices. Good location. Easy access to Old Town, Lesser Town and New Town by tram.
- Richard (8/5): Great location, breakfast. Noisy. - Great location, service and breakfast. It was hot inside and very noisy when opened window. Shower could be improved, a lot of water on the floor after use.
- Zeljko (10/5): - We spent few days in this cozy nice hotel. Bfast was very nice buffet. Everything was clean and staff was friendly and attentive. Location is quite good. Not so far from busy touristic areas. Few nice dining options for traditional lunch/dinner within 10min walking.
- BYUNG IL (10/5): - Staff and service are good 👍
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Front desk helper she was super kind, perfect English, and the man who manages the breakfast was awesome as well. Super clean and quiet, and excellent breakfast
- Joseph Ian (8/5): - We liked the location. Near to the bus station and Metro station. From the airport catch the 191 bus right outside the terminal and get off at the bus station (cost around £1.40 one way). A 3-minute walk to the hotel and you are there. Walk into town over the river or catch a tram or underground. We mostly walked the 30 minutes or so into the old town. Basic hotel with a good breakfast and 24 hour front desk.
- adam (6/5): - Check in was simple although not the most charismatic. Room could have really done with updating, holes in wall paper, walls tatty and old furniture. Beds have plastic (waterproof I’m guessing) sheets underneath which makes you sweat a lot, just glad we had air con. Bathroom seem modernised which was good. Breakfast had various selection of hot and cold, set us up for the day. Great walkable location. Would stay again.
- Francis (6/5): Stay in Andel Prague - Hotel reception staff were helpful. Breakfast was good but the overall condition of the hotel not too good - it was tired and needed to be brought back to 4 star standard. Television did not work as there was some hotel wide problem with reception. A good positive was, it was in a handy location.
- Miroslava (10/5): - Great place to stay. Clean and air conditioned. Good location close to metro and shopping.
- Frantisek (10/5): - The hotel was amazing. Excellent tasty breakfast - buffet style with everything you wish for (eggs, sausages, sweet cakes, jogurts, fruits..). Room itsekf was clean, cleaned everyday as we left. Bed was soo comfortable soft and hard at the same time. And metro station was about 5-10 minutes walking.
- Glenda (6/5): Good Location - The initial receptionist that i saw was unwelcoming and unfriendly but all other receptionists and serving staff were friendly.
- David (8/5): Ok hotel on a budget - 3 night stay to visit Prague, quite close to the centre and tourist spots. The hotel offers small, quite cramped rooms . An adequate continental style breakfast and the staff are pleasant and efficient. No wow factor
- Mikulas (10/5): - Everything is perfect, breakfast is amazing... Thank you. Mike
- ANTON (8/5): -
Location, price, comfy bed
-
Small bathroom, cold towel dryer, the air conditioner only works to lower the temperature
- Ganeeva (2/5): - This was an absolutely horrible experience. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional.
- Rares-Petru (8/5): I highly recommend - Great stay at the hotel, clean room, close to the tourist attractions and the old town. The guys at the hotel reception were very friendly and nice. Also the breakfast was good.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Yuck - Bed is so soft that it was like being suffocated by a marshmallow all night. Could not sleep nor breathe very well with windows open thanks to the dank mold. Across from a weapons store with rebel flags on sale. Did not feel safe knowing that the hotel employees did not care when/if this was mentioned. It's also near bars and in the early to noon hours, people are getting sick outside right on the sidewalk. Breakfast was free, but not worth paying for in the first place. Overall it smells like an ashtray from all the smoking. The stairs down to an eating area are narrow and curved, making it difficult to navigate. Stayed in a suite with plenty of room, but it was likely never really cleaned except for clean bed linens, minimal vacuuming and 1 or 2 free tea bags added. The shower was on a platform with only hard tile floor underneath. Could have easily slipped and hit head or fallen a nasty fall without assistance or lining the floor with at least a towel or something. Water was cold, but if you adjust the settings of the shower it will get too hot quickly. It was hard to keep on at a good temp. without bumping into (small shower space) and making either boiling hot or ice cold again off and on. The worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. It has such good reviews that must be either paid promotions, fake or complete spam.
- Anastasia (2/5): REFUND / COMPLAINT ABOUT HOTELS.COM - I request you to fully refund me for two nights at La Boutique Hotel. It is not fair that I haven't stayed there and hotels.com is charging me for that. The hotel itself declined my check-in and claimed that they don't charge me. However, I still haven't received my money back. I'm very disappointed in your services. Kindly ask you to respond as soon as possible.
- Suzana (10/5): Nice hotel, customer service is lacking a lot - Hotel is very nice and in the nice quiet part of Prague. Still very central. It was clean. The only thing we noticed was that although this was 4 star hotel there was no fridge/minibar in the room. Another thing is really about the attitude of the hotel management. we came right after the coronavirus issues and there was no tourists in Prague to speak of. At the day we were there, there were only two rooms apart from ours occupied in the entire place. In the morning, we asked if we can check our a bit later than 11AM as our train was late at the afternoon. Lady said, only up to 12. We pointed out that hotel is empty and there will be no other guests coming to our room after us. The lady at the reception said, sorry, for free only at 12 and it is not my decision to make. We felt there was a bit of customer service lacking there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel, in more local (less touristy) part of town, which I liked. It is near lots of local shops and a large mall, and not too far from the main tourist areas. Room was very nice, but the door to the bathroom would not stay shut. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was pretty good as well, not fancy but good variety of hot food (eggs, sausages), fruit, cereal, juice.
- Jeffrey (8/5): Well worth the money - Nice room for good price and good location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): la boutique was good! - Very good and well located, excellent for business, great breakfast!
- Earl (8/5): - The hotel is outside of old town but by the tram that stops in front of the hotel and goes directly to old town it takes 5 minutes, there is also a metro stop right there, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. the rooms were huge and I would definitely stay there again.
- Michael (10/5): Lovely hotel - I really liked it
Good and central
- Marina (10/5): Great and Helpful Staff, Good job! - All is well except for breakfast, no seat assign and must try to find your own seat and not organize during breakfast, a bit messy.
- Shervin (8/5): Clean hotel - Hotel was clean and breakfast was grrrreat!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very clean and tidy, nice staff - Arrived very late, no problem checking in, nice tidy room , good shower, plenty of towels.
Breakfast buffet OK, nice coffee
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved how spacious and designed the room was, the bathroom was bigger than my own master bath at home. Clean, well stocked.
They just need new locks, not that I ever felt unsafe, but they took some time getting used to due to age I think.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to subway station. The breakfast is ok given the price. The bed is good and gives good support to my back. The hallway and the room need some new decoration.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved our room. We were on the fourth floor and it was really quiet. Although the hotel is a bit far from a lot of the touristy stuff, we actually preferred it that way. We could still walk to all the sites (Old Town was about a 30 min walk) and there is a metro right on the corner. We ate and drank plenty of times in the neighborhood near the hotel. There are a lot of places on the main road with the metro station, going toward the castle and Charles Bridge. Also, breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety every morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel for a quick stop over - Ive stayed here about 6 times now, 1 night only each time.
Staff are helpful and friendly, no problem with a late check in.
- IAIN (8/5): - Stayed in Hotel Annexe. Easy enough to find from directions given by reception staff. 2 minutes walk from hotel reception. Hotel located 25 minute walk from Old Town, but a pleasant walk along the river with plenty places to stop along the way for refreshments. Hotel apartment was functional and clean but with a slight smell from the bathroom. Breakfast was fine. Choice of (Hot) - scrambled eggs, frankfurter sausages, beans and ham, or (Cold), met selection, cheese selection, vegetables, pickles, yoghurt, cereals, fruit. Tea/coffee and toast also included. Small mini market nearby but large shopping centre and Tesco about 10 minutes was away in Andel shopping area. Area well served by bus/tram/tube - although we walked everywhere. Cost £17 UK for 25 minute taxi journey to/from airport.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Our room was 3 blocks from the hotel, did not feel safe, very uncomfortable to be far from hotel and had to walk 3 blocks to get breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant and adventurous stay - It is a comfortable hotel, clean with spacious room and the breakfast is good. It is just that I did not realise that the room was in an annex at the time of booking so need to have a 3 mins’ walk from the original hotel building and some complications added to how to locate the right building and my booked room. On the first night of residence I finally asked for the assistance from hotel staff to bring me to the correct building coz the street was too dark and I could not recognise the right door. And so i tried to come back before it went dark everyday. Overall the stay was pleasant and staff is friendly. Better if staff can provide more ready assistance in providing directions to the new annex.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was never communicated that the accommodation is in an apartment complex about 5 min walking from the actual hotel. This was quite inconvenient and I wouldn’t have booked the hotel had I known that. The room was clean but it was difficulty to figure out the way around the old building complex because there was not any proper lighting. The location is good - a few min walk from the subway - and so is the breakfast buffet. However, some of the staff members can be rude. When asked for help carrying the suitcase down the stairs, my request was rudely dismissed.
- Paul (8/5): Decent hotel, a little outside of city centre - Went there for my 53rd birthday weekend. Was left a bottle of sparkling wine as a gift from the hotel, which was very sweet of them - an unexpected and very nice touch, as didn't inform them :). Didn't spend too much time in the hotel, really considered it a place to leave stuff, shower, sleep and have breakfast before facing the day. Room was on 4th floor, smallish attic type room, sloping ceiling with velux type windows and a pillar at foot of bed, so no view as such but pleasant enough. Small room safe had been left closed, and request for staff to open it dealt with promptly. Small en-suite shower and toilet, clean and functional. Clean sheets, clean towels, and a slight leak in shower base reported to hotel staff when checking out. Not the height of luxury, and room could do with a lick of paint :), but pretty happy with it. Small fridge in room, as a "mini-bar", but a fridge is handy.
Breakfast was OK, but would've liked it if at least one of the covered hot food buffet containers did not contain meat - three trays of hot foods in each one, with own spoon, but some non-vegetarians don't always think of using separate spoons, and will use one spoon for all three.
No kettle in room (I am British :)), and no smoking area. Most important thing for me before anything in morning is coffee and a cigarette. Unable to take coffee outside from breakfast, so gulped coffee and then sat outside on pavement before returning.
Felt safe around the area, and in hotel.
- Ovs (10/5): Nice hotel that made me feel like I live there - I had a great time staying here and the young lady at the desk is a sweet heart. I would stay there again!
- Jaja (10/5): Nice hotel and fantastic location - I booked a twin room for me and a friend. We arrived quite late at night as our flight was delayed. We took bus 100 to Zlicin and from there Metro B to Andel Station. Then we walked about 3-4 minutes to the hotel. We were greeted by this young man at the reception who was so helpful and nice.
Our room is at the attic level 4. It’s not massive but large enough for 2 ladies. It’s beautiful, clean and cosy. The bathroom is large with shower. There are 2 single beds joined up together and a nice cosy chair and table. Unfortunately there is no kettle or tea/coffee but it did’t matter as restaurants, cafes and supermarkets are only 3/4 minutes away at the Andel Station.
The breakfast is great too. Lots of choices for simple breakfast and starts at 7.30 to 10am.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and we fully recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice hotel, friendly, close to bus station - Very clean, bright, roomy hotel.
Nice staff, location close to City, 20 min walk.
Bathroom nice and modern, breakfast and coffee very pleasant
- Colin (8/5): Xmas market break - Excellent budget hotel, 5mins walk from metro and tram stops.
Good selection for breakfast.
- G (6/5): Budget hostel close to town by transport - The check in was a mess around because the original apartment was not clean with the sink dirty, one of the light fixtures was falling off, marks across the wall, door didn't fully shut, tower and shelf rail had been taken off and not replaced. Went back to the check in desk to complain and they offered us a new apartment which was in a lot better condition, only fault with the room was that the tv wasn't working because the module was removed from the tv.
- Yau Har (8/5): - Walkable distance to city centre.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was okay for the price and the breakfast. However we had the apartment which was not actually next to the hotel/breakfast. No AC
- Michelle (10/5): La Boutique Hotel - A Good Value - The hotel is centrally located, near the Andel station. A good selection of things to do, and easy access to the tourist sites. The hotel allowed a 3pm checkout for a minimal fee. Elevator was operational.
- Jaycee (6/5): Hotel close to trams to Old town and castle area. - Hotel is quite central being on tram lines into the Old Town. The room was large and pleasant. The bathroom could do with some updating. There were no hooks or rails to hang anything on. The shower was very small and shower head about 7 foot off the ground. Breakfast was very good. One of the staff was very good but rest didn't know too much about anything.
- Fifedpo (8/5): Close to action - a tram/subway ride away - Hotel is a block from a major tram/subway station - so easy to get to. Also liked being away from the massive tourist crowd in city center. Easy walk into old town if you want.
- Mags (6/5): Location was in poor area - We were in annexe.Had to walk to hotel for breakfast.Room very small. No bedside lamps.Had to get up to put off light after reading. We asked at reception if we could have lamps but were told no as there were none to spare(there were two on desk).Stairway down to breakfast was lethal. No handrail and steps are black making them almost impossible to see.Definitely an accident waiting to happen.
- Andrew (8/5): Good Breakfast, room in seperate building. - 3 mins walk to subway or bus stop. Breakfast has decent choice with fresh fruit and veg. Room was in seperate building that need to walk 2 mins after check in. Room was Old style, anyway, better than the other one we stayed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, spacious room, good breakfast, friendly staff, good location. Would have liked a kettle in the room, but the staff very kindly opened the breakfast room after hours so we could make tea. Would stay here again.
- Sam (8/5): Ideal hotel for a visit to Prague - Hotel was clean and well facilitated. Good location, about a 20minute walk from Charles bridge and then about half an hour walk to old Prague (main square). Suited us really well for a three night stay. Breakfast was fine. Good value for money. Would recommend and use again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was great! Staff was friendly, spoke my language, breakfast was amazing.
- Lisa (10/5): Magnificent! - La boutique was a lovely hotel. It was clean, warm and modern with a great shower and a fridge in the room. it is easy walking distance from most attractions, or the Andel Metro station is just around the corner. Would definitely stay here again.
- A (8/5): Nice hotel - ideal for value short break - Nice hotel - staff were very friendly and knowledgeable - the hotel is located south of the city and a little way out from the main tourist attractions - however if you are prepared to walk (we did 26 miles in 3 days all told!!) or catch the metro (only a short walk away and very cheap £3 for a 24 hour ticket which includes train tram and underground train) you can easily access the centre in no time. There are numerous bars and restaurants only a short walk away from the hotel and a shopping centre too. This hotel was ideal for our stay the room was clean and we had maid service every day with clean towels etc Highly recommended
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel was very clean, accessible for walking to areas of interest.
- jinny (8/5): - Second time at this hotel.Very pleasant stay both times, staff really nice, and breakfast is included.
- Nick (10/5): Lovely hotel, comfy room. Nice location. - The hotel was really nice.managed to get a good last minute deal.
The hotel is in a nice location, with a 20min walk along the river into town. There is a fantastic Italian resturant 5min walk away.
We were on the ground floor, but we couldn't hear any noise from the road or other guests.
The breakfast was good (except the coffee), with a good selection of hot and cold options.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel close to the centrum,10min walk - I stay 4 night,room is big,bathroom is clean..but no aircondition in room(num.3)
The apartment is 10-15min walk to the centrum
- Verified traveler (6/5): Near to Metro and air conditioned - This is quite a nice hotel, close to the Metro underground station, breakfast is ok. No kettle in the room so we were unable to have a hot drink before we went to bed.
This is a message for the management
One complaint I have is, on 2 occasions the fire alarm sounded, followed by an announcement to leave the hotel immediately, this was about 7am. All of the guests went downstairs to evacuate the building, the receptionist was on the phone and was turned away, facing the wall. On no occasion did any member of staff give us any direction or to let us know what was going on. Another guest went back into the hotel after about 10 minutes and asked if it was ok for us to return to our rooms, he then came out and announced to the guests that it was. As we returned through the main door, the cleaners were mopping the floors. On the 2nd occasion when the alarm went off, around 9:45, we all went downstairs and this time asked the receptionist if it was a genuine fire alarm and we were told no, it was a false alarm so we didn't have to leave the building.
- alan (10/5): Hot couple of days in Prague - Arrived Monday evening on Jet 2 - lots of leg room. Taxi to the hotel and checked in. Went for a drink and light meal in the pub 2 doors up - excellent value. The evening was hot but the air conditioning was quiet and effective. Although we had a room at the front the road was quiet. Breakfast simple but good. Staff helpful.
- Kenneth (10/5): La Boutique - its terrific - The second time 2 friends and I have stayed in this hotel and the staff are wonderful and should be highly commended. This time, we all stayed in the annex, just around the corner, but the rooms remained a high standard and were very clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice at breakfast as well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - Stayed five nights at this hotel and found it to be clean, comfortable with a nice continental style buffet breakfast. Complimentary Wifi is available throughout the property, coverage and quality is very good, room safes are provided free of charge.
We did have a minor issue with the air conditioning which wasn't working throughout the hotel during our stay but we were provided with an electric fan . All the rooms are non smoking, however there was an unpleasant smell of stale cigarette smoke in our room.
Tip: Bus 191 runs direct from outside the airport, terminal 1 direct to "na knížecí" bus station which is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel, tickets can be purchased from the machine at the airport and cost 32kc (about £1). If we visit Prague again we would happily stay at this hotel
- Hedley Robinson (10/5): H Robinson - The hotel was great clean and a nice hotel to stay in the staff were helpful would go back for sure
- paula l. (10/5): Grt weekend awat - Room was really big..clean and comfortable.Bed was so comfortable .The staff were soo luvly...and helpful.Breakfast was ok...excellent value for money.Would definitely go back .location for us was really good.30 minute walk to Charles bridge...used metro and tram....easy to use.
- Ashley (8/5): New Years in Prague - Great hotel for a quick get away! The staff is friendly and the hotel was clean. The hotel does have some ware here and there but it's great for the money.
- craig (8/5): Convenient hotel, on fringe but well connected - Don't be put off by first impressions. Good hotel, breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent local facilities and transport hub 20 mins away.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not what was promised - I was expecting a 4 star but I got a ropm that was located out ofbthebhotel in a poor location and condition.
This is maybe a 2 star hotel. The staff were not nice and didnt help at all
- Verified traveler (8/5): HOLIDAY IN PRAGUE. - HAD A LOVELY STAY IN HOTEL VERY CENTRAL TO THE METRO,TRAMS,BUS STATION,STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL.HOTEL VERY CLEAN AND TIDY AND REASONABLE PRICE.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not quite a 4-star hotel - Good location as the hotel was close to Andel metro train station. The beds were not good as 2 beds were pushed together to make a double and this gives me backache from sleeping between the crack. The room was clean but quite small, just enough to fit the 2 single beds with a bit of space around.
I had a lovely surprise with flowers and champaign for my birthday from the hotel. Breakfast was good with a range of hot and cold food, but no fresh fruits. You could find free parking around the hotel.
- Priya (10/5): brilliant holiday! - My holiday in Prague was memorable and brilliant as the hotel staff of la boutique were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The staff not only recommended city excursion and restaurants but helped me make reservations.
I would certainly recommend this hotel as it is located to shopping and transportation.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good value - Stayed for a week's holiday in the height of summer. The room was clean and comfortable, and although fairly basic was good value for money. Breakfast was OK. The aircon struggled to keep the temperature down, but did at least keep the room bearable (the coolest day was 32C outside). Wifi was excellent.
Be warned though - we gathered from other guests that the annexe wasn't so good - no working aircon or wifi.
- VINU (6/5): La Boutique Hotel - Annex building - The hotel is providing the room in an annex building which is few minutes away from the main hotel. Also appears to be a remote building without even an another human being visible.
The room was clean.
There is a table fan provided since during my visit it was a very hot day.
Please ensure before your booking whether you are getting a room in the main hotel or in the annex building. The main hotel is better in comfort compared to the annex bulding but it is also pretty decent.
- Andrew (6/5): Same hotel different building? - There's something to be said for reading the fine print and something else to be said when the fine print appears AFTER you have made the booking. Essentially this hotel has rooms at different locations. Imagine our surprise after a tiring day of travel to arrive at the lovely building you see in the advertising only to be told our room is in another building 2 blocks away? Just a short walk. In the rain. Also it meant if we wished to avail ourselves of any of the hotel services (like the breakfast we'd paid for in advance), we had to make our way back to the central building. There was no way of contacting reception from our room except by calling the hotel's main number from our mobile. (By the way: The breakfast, whilst not gourmet or full buffet , was good with a reasonable array of choices)
Fortunately Prague is a wonderful city and would put the harshest of critics in a forgiving mood. The room was adequate, close to a bus and metro station, near the river and about a 20 minute stroll to the old town.
ADVICE: find out which building your room is in before you pay. (The main building looks like it might be sensational... but we'll never know)
- RACHEL (10/5): Great stay at La Boutique Hotel in Prague! - We had a very good 3 night stay, all staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at about 19h00 at night after traveling by train since 11h00. We were booked in the annex, but received a free upgrade to the main hotel which we appreciated tremendously. The location is great - we made use of the tram service from Andel stop and it was very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent!
- Ian (10/5): Great hotel!! - It's a beautiful hotel, in a beautiful cheap part of Prague. The local people are very nice and friendly. I have stayed at la boutique many times and I will be staying again shortly.
- Alex (4/5): Good location to reach airport and centre. - Double room has only selling lights ,no chears ,fridge works as freezer , hot water not available at any time.
Rubbish not collected daily. Dust on the floor. Unpleasant smell in the room. Early checkout.
- Loves to travel (8/5): For the $ absolutely great. - A bit far from the center, but doesn't take much with pubic transportation or a taxi to get anywhere. The place is clean, pleasant, the rooms are large. It is a typical low cost hotel in Central Europe. Breakfast is great!
- Harsha (6/5): Average experience - Not so friendly receptionist, no ventilation in the toilet (had to open the room windows to get rid of the bad smell). Good breakfast and overall good for money. Stay here only if you want to save money. Very near to the metro station and tram station.
- GoldenCoconut (8/5): Review of apartment annex. - I specifically requested most quiet room possible when I booked and received a corner unit studio apartment (down the hallway and out of the way of other guests, which I liked). The apartment was located in another building a few blocks from the main hotel. For my unit, we had to enter the main building and go through the building behind it and up the stairs to get into our room. It could be a drag when you have heavy luggage. The room itself isn't mindblowing. It's what you'd expect in an European apartment. It had microwave, an older TV, dressers, twin beds, and mini fridge. No telephone. The bathroom was basic. What I found strange initially was the water that came out of the sink and shower were originally rusty looking particles but then that went away after awhile. I suspect it was from a lack of use for quite some time or bad plumbing. The liquid soap used for hand were also placed in the shower, so I'm not sure if that's normal or a mistake.
What I can definitely say the apartment has an advantage on over the main hotel rooms is the quietness. It is alot more quieter in the apartment than the main hotel since the main hotel is by a noisy main street. Light sleepers should request the apartment, though you do lose out on the quality of a hotel room and the closeness to breakfast. The streets can be dirty when walking to the main hotel so be sure to be prepared in case you step in someone's vomit ;)
- maggie (8/5): Nice hotel within walking distance of city centre - Nice clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff, very good continental breakfast. Recommend 6hr sight seeing tour of the city, lots of walking but they take you on a boat trip and lunch is included at a really lovely authentic restaurant, it's the only way to appreciate this beautiful city.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Good stay - It was very good all round
- bob (6/5): Almost false start - When we first arrived they tried to put us in a dumpy dump room off campus. It was awful so we asked to change rooms. They offered to move us into a nice room in the main bldg that's on the photo- for an extra fee of roughly $10 per night. I complained so they reluctantly waived the fee. After that the vweeknlong visit was a pleasure. Great room and we loved being in the charming neighborhood near the brewery off the beaten track!! (Breakfasts got old after about the 4th day of the same thing- but that's everywhere.) we had a great visit.
- Pushkar (8/5): Service Apartment is not that good - I booked a service apartment earlier but changed it after 1 day. Connectivity from hotel is superb.
- Observer (8/5): No complaints (I stayed in the hotel's apartments) - I got a rather large room (thick walls, high ceilings, private bathroom) in a separate apartment a couple of blocks from the main building. Perhaps not particularly fancy but definitely clean and within a 5-7min walk from the subway/TESCO supermarket/shopping center. A couple of 24/7 minimarkets are right next door. And some famous pubs in the historic center turned out to be just a 20 minutes walk away from the place.
Besides the basic furniture, there were a HUGE mirror, safe, refrigerator, kettle, bottle opener etc. in the room. Its free WiFi connection was mostly reliable enough for Skype calls and looking up places to visit on the next day. No air conditioning in the room but I could regulate the central heating, so it was perfectly fine for mid-October. The breakfasts are 7:30 to 10:30; the menu is limited but I had absolutely no problem refueling myself for the next day (and I don't eat meat or poultry). The mattresses could be a bit firmer to my taste but all in all the hotel's apartments are a very reasonable and well-rounded place to stay in Prague.
- Keith (8/5): For the price, a nice basic budget hotel - It was not the hotel's fault but the Expedia booking was missing. Expedia needs to understand that not all people making bookings through a tablet can print out their confirmation. Even using the hotel's wifi and my trip itinerary through the email confirmation sent me into an endless loop of trying to login to my Expedia account. Thank goodness the hotel was finally able to retrieve the booking through some other means.
- Luke (10/5): Great staff. - We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fairly close to the Metro and you can also walk to the river. The staff were great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
- Stefi (6/5): Cute hotel in a good location. - Our hotel stay was pleasant we just weren't too happy about not being in the actual hotel but in an apartment 2 streets away from the hotel. The apartment was in a regular building that was pretty old and the apartment itself even though it was clean and pleasant had really outdated furniture and no air conditioner. We were expecting to stay in the actual hotel and not the apartment that wasn't a part of the hotel building. For daily breakfast we had to walk over to the main hotel building which was a hit annoying. The breakfast was ok but very limited choice. One of the receptionists was really nice while the other guy wasn't nice at all.
