- Z5130ZGsamantham (4/5): Honest review - Let’s start off with I’m not a picky person. Not a picky eater and not picky with rooms. If it’s clean and has AC I’m comfy. I’ll do an $800 trip to Cuba each year. Just for reference. So, It was a clean nice little quiet hotel in a great location to catch the city bus to the shops. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the activities by the pool. The pool area was obviously the best. But the food was severely lacking. Lunch was edible by the pool you got burgers and fries which were quite good or some sushi or nachos and watery cheese. Supper buffet was terrible even at the à la cartes. This is coming from someone who goes to CUBA often. I’ve been to tons of all inclusives and I put this one into a category with Cuba. Not many options and some not edible. 0 tacos, like are we not in Mexico? Breakfast was okay but again just fresh eggs and fruit nothing great just like Cuba. Dominicans food is much better. This was my first time in Mexico so I definitely had expectations that were higher than the other all inclusive but it was a miss. The drinks were brutal too. Again just like Cuba. We paid $1350 for 4 nights CAD. Which for the price was all right. But again the food and drinks were a miss. The people were kind and not weird and pushy for tips like other countries I’ve been to. We made the best of it, I was there for the pool and beach which were both fantastic. And the rooms were cute and clean. Something else I loved was that they had water dispensers on every floor. So no searching for water like other places. Just bring a reusable bottle to fill. But I wouldn’t return. Glad I didn’t bring my kids because they would have nothing to eat at suppers. Italian was the best à la carte! It was on the adults only side. It was better than any other supper we had. We were told the French was best but man, we left halfway through and said we were sick. I’ll be back to Mexico to try another hotel though because even leaving the hotel to go to the 7/11 on the city bus was safe and fun! Enjoyed the country.

But the food selection was horrible. And you can tell by the way people were standing around and eating bread and eggs that we were not alone. It was very disappointing to have that as a buffet :( reviews before we left seemed great. But the food was 1/5 Ps Edgar and Ingrid were amazing staff!

Both Ivette and Emi were so personable and sweet. They did an amazing job at keeping all the kids entertained and also well behaved lol. Emi and Ivette made the experience truly funnnnn . From the moment we arrived, it was clear that she is not only highly professional but also has a genuine passion for working with children. She has a natural ability to connect with children of all ages. She made our kids feel welcomed, safe, and excited to participate in every activity. Her attention to detail and organized approach gave us total peace of mind. She manages the group with such grace and ensures that every child is included and well-cared for. It makes such a difference in a vacation when you know your children are in such capable and kind hands. If you are visiting Royal Solaris, keep an eye out for Ivette—she is a true asset to the resort team!

- biancacK9596ZZ (8/5): Excellent Customer Service - Excellent customer service! All of the staff were attentive and accommodating to our needs. Guillermo- Customer Relations, Alfredo Jimenez and Alberto-Breakfast Servers went above and beyond to meet our needs. The resort was well maintained and pool floors were bleached daily, which was impressive. Cleanliness was superb. The basic rooms were up to standard. The food and drinks were basic. The breakfast and lunch menu was on repeat for the entirety of our stay, which was disappointing. The food was edible, but not impressively delicious. Their beer selection was limited to only 2-domestic beers. The restaurant food was mid-average, but customer service bridged the gap every time. The only uncomfortable point of our vacation was the sales pitch for memberships, while some may benefit from the membership, it was not a good fit for us and they were very persistent, which took more than then 90 mins agreed upon. So, be prepared to gifts up to 3-hours of your time, however, they were very compensating of our time and gave us some nifty discounts on excursions for it. Overall, our stay was very pleasing and had access to all of the amenities at the hotel and including access to their sister-hotels, which gave us more options for food and activities. We’d definitely book again with this resort because of their customer service that made our experience that much better!

Everything throughout the property is extremely clean, which really stood out and made the stay comfortable. What truly makes this place special is the team. The staff are fantastic! friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Aury for her kindness and warm smile, which made a real difference during our stay. The food is okay overall, with enough variety to find something you’ll enjoy. Tavo restaurant, however, is a highlight and definitely worth a visit. One downside is the drinks, which are unfortunately very watered down and a bit disappointing. We are still here enjoying our stay, and overall it has been a pleasant experience thanks to the great service and cleanliness, despite a few areas that could be improved
- S709OHmaryk (10/5): Three generations in Mexico having fun. - Good location on beach and with good pool with enough poolside beds. Family atmosphere and staff are friendly and welcoming. Very clean bedrooms and public areas and staff clear away water around pool so you don’t slip. Good value as there is entertainment during the day which you can take part in. Yoga on the jetty on the lagoon with Israel in the morning is a perfect way to start the day. Stretching while looking over the water with birds flying by. Israel is a great yogi with good personality. You can also sail in the lagoon at no charge as an Hotel guest. Food in the buffet restaurant is varied and good. There are three à la carte restaurants too. Being all inclusive, you can eat as much as you want. Soft drinks on tap at poolside and swim up or walk up bar caters for everyone. Hotel is in hotel zone and is safe. I went running up to Cancun sign and beyond on pavement and felt safe. If you can learn some basic Spanish it is appreciated as not all staff speak English. Children have some entertainment too and they have a pool with slides.

- Andreas Gehrts (4/5): Disfrute del lugar, no de la comida - Los espacios recreativos y las piscinas son muy buenas para pasar el dia entero. No tuve problemas de internet y la calidad de atencion realmente fue de primera. La comida fue muy decepcionante. En general, carecía de sabor y, en varios casos, la textura de carnes y pescados daba la impresión de haber sido congelados durante mucho tiempo, lo que afectaba claramente la calidad. Otro punto negativo fue el manejo de las intolerancias alimentarias. Al llegar, me consultaron si tenía alguna (en mi caso, celiaquía), lo cual inicialmente parecía positivo. Sin embargo, en la práctica no ofrecían prácticamente ninguna opción apta: solo una pequeña tortita que no resultaba nada apetecible. Esto da la sensación de que la consulta sobre intolerancias es más una forma de cubrirse que un verdadero compromiso con el huésped. Es decir, preguntan, pero no brindan soluciones reales, dejando al cliente sin alternativas y trasladándole implícitamente la responsabilidad si surge algún problema.

- 780sy (4/5): Would not stay here again. - We did not get the 2 rooms we paid for that were to be joined--we ended up 4 floors apart. The rooms were dated and had a musky and moldy smell. Food was the same every meal. There were bed bugs in the room next to ours! We were continuously woken up by other loud guests at 2, 3 and 4 in the morning. Our 8 year old son got severe food poisoning from a burger that wasn't cooked properly at the Italian Restaurant Marco Polo and missed 2 days of the vacation. Got stuck multiple times on various elevators around the resort. They are broken and go slow or shake or the doors don't open. Hot water not working in our room. Fridge not working in our room. All the pool seats are taken by 7:30 am with people's beach towels leaving no chairs to sit or lounge by the pool and minimal shade. Nothing restocked in rooms, we had to request toilet paper at the front desk. Multiple drunken fights near the pool over the days we stayed there. When we asked at the front desk we were told "we are at 98% capacity, what do you expect us to do about this?" Only 3 pros--family friendly and close to the airport, the shows were good... does not make up for everything else. Would not recommend and would not come here again. This is not a 4 star resort, it is more like a 2 star.

- Townsend (7/5): we enjoyed a safe, family-friendly stay with friendly staff, a great kids’splash area - I loved the location and felt very safe at the resort. The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean, and the kids’ splash area was actually the reason we chose to stay at this hotel. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and it really felt like family. We became members of Club Solaris and had a great time — we definitely want to come back. We found the food at Marco Polo and Tavo Sushi to be below our expectations. As frequent travelers and restaurant owners, we felt the overall restaurant food lacked the quality and flavor we were hoping for. That said, Rosemary offered a very nice breakfast, and the buffet was acceptable. The pool bar drinks were somewhat artificial and watered down, but the Premier Bar served much better adult beverages and is worth recommending.

Tanto la piscina como la parte interior muy chulas para los niños Tema hamacas es un desastre. Terminamos nuestro viaje por México con dos días de resort para hacer piscina y poco más, pero llegabas a las 8 y media y veías que todas las hamacas estaban reservadas con toallas, es decir, que los huéspedes dejaban su toalla y se iban a desayunar, o a hacer excursiones o lo que sea y no volvían hasta media mañana. Por lo tanto, nosotros los dos días estuvimos sin poder estar de piscineo tranquilamente. Hamacas vacías pero reservadas con toallas, inadmisible. El primer día una señora encargada nos sacó un par de hamacas extras y bien, pero el segundo día estas hamacas de más que habían sacado el día anterior ya estaban ocupadas de buena mañana por toallas. Esto es un problema de dirección, deberían poner un cartel que se prohiba reservar hamacas, como hacen en muchos otros hoteles.

- K7778LSadamm (6/5): Not quite what we thought... - Having travelled from the UK and doing it 'on a budget' I think it is worth noting that I wish we'd spent an extra £1000 and had an improved stay, somewhere else. Whilst there isn't really anything major to complain about; its just an average hotel that compares to a low-mid range European hotel - that happens to be in Mexico. Hotel is dated and is completely showing its age (as per google AI reviews). Most rooms DO NOT have a balcony, no where to dry swim clothes. Air-conditioning temperature is whatever the hotel decides (guessing around 20°). Mini bar is limited. Food is very samey but all edible. Breakfast consists of eggs and chorizo, fajita mix, bbq meat, vegetables and assorted pastries and sweet cakes. 3 choices of cereal. If you have a fussy eater, this hotel doesn't cater. All inclusive drinks start at 11. Before this time, there are no drinks/snacks available poolside. No offering of a mimosa with your breakfast. Kids meals are also very limited, sometimes nuggets, sometimes local mexican offerings. Kids pool is small, but has a few little slides suitable for upto 5ish year olds. Kids club is available but the ladies running it are here because it pays. Poolside games are simple and fun .Theatre shows are good...and short, which works for us with small kids. It's a cheap package holiday hotel. Zero frills. The staff seem to work hard and are mostly friendly, but tipping is a BIG deal - so budget that in. In all, based on the reviews, we thought this would be in line with other Mexican all inclusive hotels we have had before - but its not. Its low budget - price you pay really does reflect the lower end of all inclusive. We won't be returning and we will be spending little more next time. Still have another week left, so will probably venture outside the hotel to sample other foods and vibes. Dining experience is the bit that really does need investment. A note to the hotel management, (before you respond) you've done nothing wrong - its just not advertised very well in the UK and we do not want/need anything from you. This is just an honest review (our opinion) for travellers coming from Europe that might be looking for something a little more special than an average low budget, all inclusive. Thanks!

- sbeidic2026 (4/5): Horrible experience - Our stay at Royal Solaris Cancun went from bad to worse, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. On our first day, we asked about upgrading to a suite (fully willing to pay), and were told by reception that no such suites existed at the hotel. Later, we learned from another guest that suites do in fact exist. This lack of transparency was frustrating and set the tone for the rest of our stay. Things escalated when I became seriously ill. The on-site doctor only asked questions and did not perform any physical examination. He then prescribed medications that were not available at the hotel, despite reassuring that they were. That evening, I called reception multiple times seeking assistance and help ordering medication, but kept getting redirected between lines, with calls going unanswered. In severe pain, I had no choice but to go down to the lobby myself. Instead of assisting, reception handed me a phone and told me to call the pharmacy directly. Meanwhile, concierge had previously managed to order medication smoothly and professionally. I ended up handling everything myself while unwell, with zero accommodations—no delivery, no support, no consideration. We also chose this hotel for its advertised water playground, which turned out to be unusable due to freezing water. Other pools were fine, but this was a major disappointment. Additionally, the hotel does not enforce any policy around reserving chairs. Guests leave towels and personal items on chairs for hours, while others wait with nowhere to sit. Staff did nothing to address this. I eventually took a chair that had been “reserved,” and no one ever returned for it. On a positive note, the cleaning staff and spa team were excellent and genuinely helped improve our experience. They were professional, kind, and attentive. Overall, the service, lack of support during a medical situation, and poor management overshadow any positives. The food was average and repetitive. I strongly recommend paying more to stay at a hotel that actually prioritizes guest care. We will not be returning.
- 634janaeh (6/5): Just ok - This property has a lot of potential. The front desk experience was great and we felt that Edgar did a great job accommodating us. However , there are quite a few touches that could really elevate the experience overall. The rooms need a deeper clean after each stay. We noticed food stains on the blinds, dirty counter surfaces and tile mold in the bathroom and on the shower mat they provided. Our bathroom sink was also clogged (ew). All things that can be fixed. They desperately need softer towels. After a day in the sun, the room towels felt like sandpaper on the skin. There are no complimentary toiletries like lotions or bar soaps, etc. like most hotels. This is a missed opportunity to create an elevated experience. The beds are comfortable enough but there are dips in the mattress from frequent use. Replace old mattresses or at a minimum rotate them periodically. There is cable tv in the room with several channels but all of them are in Spanish. That made it challenging to relax the kids in the room after a long day of pool and sun. The restaurant options were good. We really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant. Food and service were great. Book your reservation early! The buffet breakfast and dinner options are nice. Please add dry rice to your salt shakers— they were all clogged from humidity so nothing came out of the shakers. Grab your pool chairs early! People put their stuff on chairs starting as early as 630 am. We saw many people unable to find a pool chair because so many were claimed early. They don’t regulate this. The kids pool play area was a huge hit for the kids but be warned that the water if FREEZING cold all day long. My kids ultimately asked to leave because they were so cold from the water. Next to comment on is the pool snack area. Please invest in a better set up. The area itself is dated and not cleanly. Food runs out often and there is no order for lines— it’s very cut throat as you fight through the crowd to get food for your family. I did not enjoy that part at all — and the food was very subpar there. The plastic cups are also in need of an upgrade or at least branding. The night show performances were a nice source of entertainment and the performers are very talented. My kids enjoyed the entertainment. Overall this is an average experience for families. I would not enjoy this as a solo travel or a couple. I would not invest the money to come back.

El área de niños es atendida de mala gana y no hay un interés legítimo hacia las familias con niños, el hotel es más para adultos y con la ubicación del área de niños queda más que evidente, ya que está alejada de todas las demás piscinas, si van con niños mejor busquen otra opción

- Passenger66144828569 (8/5): Family holiday with good food - It's a little bit away from the centre so taxis and Ubers are needed. Rooms are spacious two double beds per room. We stayed on the 6th floor noisy at times at night with parents and kids running up the hall screaming but you'd forgive that being a family hotel. Pool area and pool bar is 100percent service is great and the entertainment staff do a great job with different games throughout the day. Food is good in the buffet plenty to choose from any reviews that say otherwise are crazy. Food in the pool area very good selection. You can eat in the other restaurants on site once you download the app and book through that but not always available so book early to avoid missing out. Marco Polo and the Asian are definitely worth a visit. I love Mexican but I'd pass on that if I came again they could do with re thinking the menu a little bit. Overall really good experience and would highly recommend for families of all ages. Singles might want to go elsewhere. Good value for money . Beach right behind the pool area is gorgeous very clean.

Celkovo sa o priestory dobre starajú snažia sa ich udržiavať čisté.detsky kútik bol veľké plus ale je to skôr pre väčšie deti. Bazény tiež super ale mohli by ich lepšie čistiť. Strava, na all inclusive hotel bolo všade veľa jedla. Ale po väčšine sa to nedalo jesť. Zelenina bola nedovarená surová, počas večere objednávali casnici pitie max 1x za večer ak si vás vôbec všimli.

Sign us up.. either the hotel or Expedia messed up and we got sent to Royal Solaris.. we paid premiums to be sent with kids.. on route the red phone box mvp club security wouldn’t let us through and sent us to the road ..was messy and un called for… and the food is white washed plain

Ross, our butler was attentive and took care of everything for us, making our trip so much better. Lazaro and Lupita at the pool were amazing. The food at Tavo, Marco Polo, Venetto and Bogavante were delicious. Any issues or concerns were handled swiftly. We had 2 birthdays in the group and they spoiled us with cake and champagne in our rooms! Love our home away from home

They are good listeners and we had great conversations with them, and they made us laugh. All around, it was a fantastic experience to say the least. We come every night!!!
