The room is very small, but as expected - Hong Kong standard small lol. The bed is okay but the pillows are really thin, my neck felt like sleeping on almost nothing.
- Michel (3/5): - They like dogs in your hotel the room next door the dog were barking all night that for three days .impossible to sleep, wit I mentioned it at some from the hotel confirmed , they asked me If wanted to move and I said, asking them to move or to be quiet. Nothing was done, not one night complimentary. Dog can be running on the beds and barking all night . That not ok for me . I do like animals but.
- aka_neko (9/5): 香港の中ではかなりリーズナブルで快適なホテル - 部屋がとても清潔！香港のホテルはシャワーとトイレが狭いスペースに詰め込まれていることが多いけど、ここの部屋はトイレとシャワーのスペースがきちんとカーテンで区切られていたので快適でした。 スタッフの方々も親切でチェックイン、チェックアウトもスムーズ。デポジットはカードでOK。 中心地からは離れているけど、近くに飲食店もやコンビニもあるしバスを使えば移動にそこまで不自由はないので、特に不便は感じませんでした。 エレベーターが２台しかないので、人が多い時は多少待つ必要があること。部屋の壁が薄いため、隣の部屋や廊下の音が聞こえることがあります。 ただ、この価格なら自分はこれらのデメリットがあってもまた利用したいと思う位に気に入りました。また泊まります。

There was no soap in the room, the room was very small. The staff wasn't the most pleasant and well mannered. Also wasn't a fan of having to put down a $500 HKD deposit on the room for the stay.

- Aleksandar (3/5): Just blah. Enough to sleep. Stressy though. - Staff was helpful. Complimentary luggage hold on last day was good. The room was quite small, and moving around the furniture could be a bit challenging. Basic amenities such as soap and a toilet brush were not provided. While the room itself was very minimal, a security deposit was still required, which felt unnecessary given the limited furnishings. Additionally, the towels provided had visible stains. The hotel required a credit card for the deposit and would not accept a debit card, which was inconvenient. The location is approximately 20 minutes from the city center by bus, but travel time can extend to up to an hour during heavy traffic. This makes access to the city somewhat unpredictable and inconvenient. When making the booking, I selected the “pay at property” option, yet the full amount was authorized in advance. This was misleading, as it would be more reasonable to authorize only a no-show or cancellation fee, if applicable. After checkout, the hotel requested an additional payment for a tax that had not been charged initially, which added to the confusion and gave the impression of disorganization. The staff spoke good English and communicated clearly, though the overall tone felt more corporate than welcoming. Overall, the hotel has a dated early-2000s feel, which does not align with expectations of contemporary hospitality.

- Lauren (9/5): Fun place to stay with buses right outside your door to everywhere. - An affordable yet very comfortable basic hotel room. Beds were comfy. The room was so clean…cleaner than some 5 star places I’ve stayed! Not situated close to many food options etc but there are many buses just down the road. Walking along the harbourfront nearby is awesome in the morning. See people walking and chatting and buying fresh seafood. No hairdryer or heater but all ok. It was just a cold few days! I didn’t use the kitchen, gym or laundry but great to have them there if needed.

The bus services from Aberdeen were frequent and easy to navigate. I would recommend this hotel South Nest, and Aberdeen is an amazing place to stay or use as a base.

- naseer (1/5): أسوأ فندق سكنته في حياني - لا شيء مطلقا الفندق بعيد جدا وتصله بالتاكسي أو بالمترو وبالمترو تحتاج إلى تكسي آخر لتوصيلك وصلنا ااساعة 3 عصرا ورغم ذلك لم يدخلونا الغرفة وطلبوا منا الانتظار نصف ساعة ولم يدخلونا حتى الساعة الرابعة عصرا دخلنا الغرفة وهي بالواقع صندوق صغير لا يمكن التحرك فيها إلا لشخص واحد والآخر عليه الانتظار فوق السرير حتى يتحرك هو بعد الأول لا يعطوا زجاجات ماء نهائيا و طلبنا ذلك ورفضوا أخذوا منا تأمين 500دولار وقالوا سنعيدها بعد اتمام الإقامة وعندما عملنا خروج قالوا لنا سنعيد المال بعد أسبوع. لا توجد صالة رياضية في الفندق عليك الانتظار فترات طويلة ليصلك المصعد التنظيف سيء يفتقد أبجديتات ترتيب السرير حيث وجدنا السرير مرتب بشكل بدائي وكأن العاملة لا تحب عملها. هذا ما أتذكر ولا أنصح به أحد ليسكنه

- Wai Chuen (10/5): - My second time staying at SN. Staff are friendly and always do their best getting stuff done for you. Also thanks the cleaning staff. They keep my room always fresh and clean. This time, I get a room in the end of the hallway on 22nd floor. I like to sit by the window enjoying the view of Aberdeen harbour and the ocean. Even it’s not a full open view, it’s still soothing and beautiful. For more of the harbour, it’s within 15 minutes from the hotel. This time I also use the exercise rooms on lower ground floor. The yoga room fits only one person but good enough for a full set of stretching exercises. The fitness room gives you the basic workout stuff. They are next to the laundry room where you can use the washer and dryer for less than CAD$ 8.00. If there is one thing that South Nest could do better, it would be to remind the visitors to keep the common space quiet and clean. Too often, I was waken up by the noise they made as early as 5:30 am. I know there is just so much the staff could do and they are doing their best already. I will still be back on my next visit. - Linda (9/5): Great stay at a reasonable price - This property suits both long and short stays. I will return and highly recommend it. (1) Convenience - With bus stops right in front of the property, I can get to different parts of HK (e.g. Causeway on one bus trip in less than 40 minutes) without getting up and down on the MTA escalators. The closest MTA station (with a nearby shopping mall) is only 8 minutes away and Aberdeen Center (for more varieties of restaurants) is within reach via many bus lines and mini vans that run frequently. (2) Full kitchen - There is pantry on each floor shared by less than 15 units. (1) While rooms are ideal for single travelers, they are a bit small for two or more persons. This is common in HK and the room size is reasonable at the rate, and (2) Noise during late hours (say after 8 or 9 pm while check in) for those rooms near the lift lobby and lift congestion caused by the occasional group tours (both check in and check out), a minor issue which is manageable by avoiding these hours

Booking confirmed as an adjoining room but turns out they were only 2 rooms side by side with no connecting door in between two rooms. Location is convenient with local eats surrounded. Transit getting to city is also great with lots of local bus service station nearby. Be aware that lots of group tours will be gathering in the morning check out and evening check in which makes this place loud and messy. People also like to talk loudly in the hallway at 6:15am in the morning to wake up others. It happened at least 5-7 times for our 11 days stay at this place.

- Javad (9/5): Superb - Clean, comfortable, relaxing stay. Modern building and the room size is okay for Hong Kong. Shower and bed were clean. When asked the staff, they also change the bed sheets. Overall, comfortable for long stays. The location is far from main Hong Kong attractions, not near any Subway station, and the bus takes too much time to get there. Elevator works slow, at the time we were staying there, one elevator was broken.

- Shona (10/5): Exceptional - Was great for National Palace museum, 1 bus at near foot of hotel. Also for the Zoo and Temple, 2 buses.
- Fclc (6/5): Pleasant - Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is compact but has all the basics you need. This time we were given a room that was not so clean, some hair n dirt around, and the refrigerator was very dirty with a disgusting bad smell. Obviously the refrigerator was not cleaned after last check out. The drainage in the shower cube was blocked. The pillows were flattened, time to change for new ones.

- Douglas (10/5): - There was nice pathway along the ocean, lots of transit buses, and some nice places to eats all through the day.
- Florence (3/5): Too small for the room and not worth the price if kitchen cannot be used - Location : Not close to metro but to bus stops The shared kitchen is a joke. Stayed there four week but kitchen always occupied with many hotel guests and their family cooking heavy meals everyday making it very dirty and me never able to use it. ☹️😞
- Lisa (5/5): Passable - The drain pipe on the toilet floor often emits a foul smell
- Gilbert (9/5): Will stay again - Value of money, room is clean and staff are very helpful. So many bus stop nearby you can take the bus to go anywhere in Hong Kong. Not much restaurant around and a bit too far from the city centre the only public transport is by bus or taxi.
