Guest Reviews
- a_saleem (2/5): worst accomodation, - the hotelwas booked at booking.com for 6 nights. upon arrival, discovered an extremely dirty room and bathroom with some kind of mold. requested the most unfriendly staff to cancel booking for rest of the nights and charge only one night. he asked to cancel it through booking.com. that i did. booking charged only one night and cancelled rest of the nights. i was called at 2am in the morning and requested to come to the desk and pay for one night as the booking was cancelled. although booking has taken the price for one night.
- Steve (2/5): - Dirty. Bathroom toilet leaked constantly all over the floor. Requested it be fixed but was not. First day, no one cleaned the room. Very noisy in hallways. Mostly an Indian/Pakistani hotel. Food was poor, staff is rude. Won’t be back. You have to walk across the street and down an ally to buy a soft drink or snack.
- nizar (10/5): - Excellent service nice and clean rooms.
- Justin (6/5): - Staff were friendly, check in took some time, but not terrible. Rooms are older, but are clean. This hotel could use some renovation, carpet and better sound proofing. The street is loud just outside ans because the hallway is marble, sound echos at all hours. It just needs renovation. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and we were able to rest.
- Savitri (8/5): - Please note much transport near the hotel and not a parking in hotel
- Srinivasa (10/5): - Noisy
- saviostracey (8/5): AdmiralPlaza - Great hotel.. great service.. extremely helpful staff. Their swimming pool is awesome too. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The restaurant provides a great spread for breahfast, lunch and dinner. Very well located. Great place to stay overall
- Traveler-UK2000 (2/5): Sack the Reception staff - Terrible staff, extremely terrible reception staff, lack basics of welcoming the customer and listening in to the customer, demanding this and that and that and that etc..! Degrading the hotel’s image, hotel was good location was ok not ideal.
- MARIA ISABEL (8/5): - Hotel un poco deteriorado, personal atento, buen precio
- jelenamaksimovic25 (8/5): City hotel experience - Hotel is based in a very crowded area with tiny busy streets around. Be prepared that anywhere you want to go, it will take some time to come out of the neighborhood.
In general, it is a good hotel for a short stay. The staff at front desk are very friendly and welcoming.
Be careful with the parking as it is in the hotel next to it, Gateway. We didn’t understand what he was explaining first and it took us 20 min just to go around.
Only one suggestion for the management: it will be so much better experience if housekeeping staff don’t knock at 9 am to clean the room, maybe you should offer it at least after 11 am…
- Jesus (4/5): - The only nice friendly employees are the bellmen and housekeeping but the front desk staff need to smile be more approachable and welcoming.
- Anca (8/5): - I did not like the confusing email from Expedia in which it was saying initially that I paid the first night, later when arrived at the hotel, the staff was saying that they didn’t t receive any money.
So it was the Expedia mistake, also apart of reception staff Murza, everyone was perfect.
Overall a nice experience!
- carladoria (2/5): Don’t stay there. - They canceled my booking when I arrived there at midnight after traveling almost 2 days. Apparently the charge they did on my card failed. I contacted my bank and they confirmed the card was enabled for online charges and that the attempted failed charge was done through the contactless method which can’t be done without the physical card. Since it was midnight they got me a room for one night for double the rate I had booked. I couldn’t even sleep that night there was a beep/alarm sounding freaking loud from the corridor. I called the reception twice and they said they couldn’t do anything - apparently some locker in some room not correctly closed. Are you kidding me? It was really loud, nobody can sleep with that. It was unbearable. Then the shower never worked, the heater was turned on, but the water never got warm. I just took a cold shower because I wanted to get out of that place as soon as possible. I ended up moving to a new place that was 100% much better than this one and in a lower price.
When a guest says there is an alarm/beep that is sounding loud, you have to do something! Change rooms or whatever. After almost 2 days trip with the last flight almost 14 hours, it was the worst experience in my travel history.
- BOLAJI (10/5): November - It was ok, some fixtures were not working properly, and the cleaners are slow in responding to guests.
- Mahesh (8/5): - Although the hotel is small consisting 3 floors , it is situated in an ideal location of Mina Bazzar in Deira .Staff very curtius and helpful . Reasonably priced and breakfast included . It has a gym and a swimming pool, Definitely coming back here as i regularly visit Dubai .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - All staff in reception area were lovely & very helpful.. restaurant staff not so much.. constantly running out of food items during breakfast and if you asked for anything you got a sulky reply and shrug of shoulders...
More of a selection of european food would have been nice, your dealing with a lot of tourists so it might be an option !!
Rooms were cleaned daily which was great, anything we needed we got..
Overall, it was good value for money.. you got what you paid for.
- Richard (10/5): A satisfactory stay in Dubai - The hotel was conveniently located to lot of shopping area. Also waking distance to metro transit system. A variety of restaurants and food courts was also near by. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was amazing with lots of choices.
- Mohammed (8/5): - All the shops and food is couple minutes away walk. The breakfast is same every day and they mostly cater for Indians plus breakfast area is very small they need to expand.
- Pranesh (8/5): Great Admiral - What was amazing was the hotel staff. They are very friendly and very accommodating.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room size too small and breakfast needs improvement
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Staff were brilliant when we struggled with health. We felt safe and comfortable in a difficult situation. Lovely stay. Would definitely visit again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean Rooms polite staff however room was cramped for space
- Verified traveler (2/5): What a joke! - I had booked two rooms at the hotel, but when I got there, they refused to acknowledge this. I had the booking and payment confirmation for two rooms and they would still not accept they were in the wrong.
In the end, I had to leave and find another hotel at 3 am, along with my family who had just got off a long flight.
The reception desk were extremely unfriendly, rude and not willing to listen to me.
Fast forward a few days, I tried to call the manager on several occasions to get my money refunded, however, he did not respond.
It took 3 months of emails to Hotels.com to get my refunded and even then, not the full amount. I am still owed 300 dirhams.
Absolutely appalled at the lack of service. Never again.
- JENIFER (8/5): great Location - Hotel was average good value for money for a 3 star . Location great for shopping and restaurants all around. few minutes walk to the Metro and boat to go across Deira
- mehreen (6/5): Its ok for the price i paid - Rooms were nice n clean n bedsheets were changed everyday. Bottled waters were also given everyday, only downside for me was, we had no cold water in both our rooms. So had to ask for a bucket n keep water in n use that for all our baths! Breakfast was rly good, everyday was different n various kinds. Staff were also very helpful for directions and also restaurants close by, where to eat and go and hw to gt to places.
- Camel (6/5): Dichtbij centrum - Hotel wordt elke dag schoongemaakt, vriendelijk personeel.
Kon er ontbijten, veel keus, kon beter.
De kamers kunnen een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Likje verf. Kapotte vloertegels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Gutes MittelklasseHotel im alten Zentrum von Dubai - Freundliches Personal
sehr familienfreundlich
tolles Bett
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mina Bazar is walking distance from this hotel. - Provides good number of items in breakfast. The Bell Boyes are very cooperative and helpful.
The Bell Boys NETRA and DONN gives excellent services.
- Hussain (8/5): Excellent - Excellent 👍👍👍 very kind staff
I like very much this hotel, all the staff very lovely 😊 people, front desk staff no words 😶 soooo sweet I love ❤️ them, all around nothing to say anything soo sweet take catering good luck buddy👍🎉🎊🤝
- SYED (8/5): - Good overall experience. Good location and excellent breakfast food.
- Verified traveler (6/5): we give this place a C "good" grade - misleading image of the hotel .. there is no Pierre Cardin there just empty places
cockroach in the room
lots of things were not working TV fridge AC water toilet flushing etc and you have to
run after them to fix things and they had to change our room twice in 5 days
even we had to call them to put some perfume in the new room when we moved
some rooms had no view
my impression is that the building itself is aging and all these problems are results of this ..
good things: they upgraded our rooms for free we had 2 rooms and they upgraded both
good breakfast to match all tastes
small and covered swimming pool and gym available but we didn't have time to use them
location is good not far not close from metro but its far from dubai mall and other attractions we needed a taxi because we are family
clean is good except for that cockroach inside the room
room service is good
free 2 medium sized bottles of water everyday
it got prayer rooms and also close to a mosque
family oriented
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic hotel!!! - The room was big and clean. Good breakfast. The location is near shopping area, walking distance to metro.
I will definitely recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average Hotel - Clean hotel good service, but bad Wifi, bad breakfast, small rooms
- Y (2/5): Don't stay at this Hotel - I've had the worst experience at this hotel. First of all, I booked through Orbitz for 7 nights for business travel including breakfast. As soon as I got there, I was told breakfast was not included. I reached out to Orbitz about this issue and I was told breakfast was included for this stay. Unfortunately, after a lot of back and forth, they still didn't want to offer the free breakfast (Finally, Orbitz agreed to pay for it). After all this, the breakfast was still mediocre for a $13 a day breakfast. The room was dirty, most of the bathroom appliances didn't work and A/C was too loud. I will not recommend anybody to stay at this hotel.
- Jess Suyog (6/5): Do not let the Photo fool you - Travelling from Europe, this hotel did not feel like 3 stars at all, If you are travelling from asia then maybe. I felt like I was somewhere in India. My first impression of the rooms was, Bad and clumsy paint job, dirty sink, and bathtub, small room and small bed for 2 adult and one child of 5, no extra bed was offered. Upon complain we did get a bigger room, and a bigger bed, still no extra bed for our son.
Public toilet was filthy.
Breakfast:
Indian breakfast so do not expect continental or english breakfast. I love indian food so I have no complaint, My son who only eats cereal and cornflakes, di have those options as well.
Service:
Staff are polite, nice, friendly and helpful.
Rooms:
Rooms are cleaned every day, and it is safe to leave you thing around. Having said that, the walls and doors thin, meaning you can hear the footsteps out in the hallway, and people in the next room, I could even hear cracking of the bed from the room above. Just to be safe I did put on ear plugs every night, My wife and son without earplugs slept just fine.
Locations:
Hotel is in Old dubai, in a south asian Ghetto, with low paid labour workers. Area is safe and nice to walk around, and very central, If you like india and Indian food this is where you want to be.
Overall:
Overall stay was OK, we only used hotel for sleeping. 99% of the guest are Indian who I felt were very unpolite, rude, noisy and no respect for the queue, hygiene and their surroundings.
- alexandre (6/5): Para indianos !!!!!
- PictureHolidays (8/5): Nice Location - Location is perfect for Indians looking to shop around in Dubai. Room size is small but considering the location and price it works out fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Basic hotel at central location - I arrived late at night but check in was a breeze. The room was a good size for the city center and everything was OK. The AC was a little too cold for my taste but luckily you can change that. Breakfast was awesome and I really enjoyed the variety of different foods (primarily Indian Asian and Western). I'd stay here again!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Basic! - stay was okay. First we were given a bad room with dirty washroom and then when we complained, they changed us to a okay room. Still disappointed with the room and hotel compared to the pictures we saw on Expedia. Pictures and reality did not match at all. Staff and service were really good. Breakfast buffet was better but mostly Indian food and most visitors were Indian too and it was good for them, Overall okay stay in a Bazaar environment. Recommended for Indian family stay!
- Abdul (6/5): - The local shops surrounding the hotel made it seem as living in a market place. Their reception wasn't that good making it racist in my judgement as other non-color guests were better treated. My wife & self were forced to complain. For which we appreciate the prompt intervention of the management staff who came from the back office to give us better treatment. Overall, we managed to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was fair but not up to the average Dubai hotel indulgence that we've witnessed severally.
- Verified traveler (2/5): The smell in the hallway so bad - I will never stay again in this hotel
Room not comfy and very hot
Hallway smells so bad
Foods not good
Glasses and cups very dirty
Front desk not help
The view of the room sucked
The street was not good for finding taxi
we found many insects in the room
- MoeCPA (6/5): A motel - I won't call it a hotel. They call me 3 times-starting 9AM- to remind me about check out!! They call through the bathroom telephone!! The regular phone is not working.
They used to offer free breakfast; they charge extra now.
The rooms are neglected and in dire need of maintenance.
They offer less frequent free shuttle to airport.
