Guest Reviews
- Manuel (10/5): - Close options to food and beer!
- Bogdan A (10/5): - Very nice hotel I’m second time there.
- MAVIS CLAUDIA (10/5): - Muy buen lugar
- Ivone (10/5): - Great place to stay
- RUBEN (8/5): - Hotel muy pequeño y albercas
- ELODIA (4/5): - na
- Abhishek (8/5): - They did an effort to decorate the room for a special occasion.
- Dayana (10/5): - Good option if you want to save money.
- Farzana (8/5): - The staff were super helpful especially Daniel . The room is dated with some better decoration would be amazing . Difficult to charge phone and laptop as power points are limited. Nice overall stay 🙏
- Tatiana (8/5): - It’s a 3 star can’t expect everything to be awesome but the service was amazing and for that they get a 5 and the entertainment by the pool was fun.
- Wilguens (8/5): - Everything
- Maritza (2/5): - This resort was a huge disappointment. The room smelled like mold the moment we walked in. The bedding and towels were old, worn out, and didn’t feel clean. It was honestly uncomfortable staying there. On top of that, the front desk staff Daniel was rude, unwelcoming, and clearly didn’t care about guest satisfaction. Basic hospitality was completely missing. I would never stay here again and definitely do not recommend it.
- Eddie (6/5): - A very discounted hotel that matches the price point... nothing fancy, but generally ok if youre just in need of a bed and a shower. Make sure you save yourtowel and key cars, as they charge you $20 US if you lose a towel card.
- Abby (10/5): - I liked the location because there is the harbor, parks, and restaurants within walking distance.
The staff was so friendly and the activities on site were very entertaining.
- CESAR (10/5): - I
- Sharon (2/5): - Got there at 9:40am i was on line and they called over the lady behind me and asked how can we help you totally ignoring me and my family. They stated we can not give you a room until 3pm when they acknowledged me. We had to sit in waiting area until 11 were permitted to go into the buffet section where the food was not good at all and it was the repeat items daily. At the pool section there was another buffet and one day i went in with my daughters in our bathing suits as we would get in pool after and they told us to get out and go put clothes on i was truly upset with the experience i also brought insulin with me as i am diabetic and noticed fridge in room was off i asked and they wanted to charge a couple hundred pesos to use it which i did not pay. A lot of money spent and felt horrible the whole time.
- Marva (8/5): - Breakfast not that great. Close to the beach with water activities. Various pools with activities and fun. Easy for Uber’s to get to, in a central location.
- Usman (2/5): - This is a terrible overpriced hotel that I don’t recommend anyone to stay in. Very Filthy hotel. Rude staff. No one understands English very well. Filthy washroom with old rusted shower. It’s open from all sides when it comes to the hotel exterior construction, lizards can come in the room easily. I checked out two days early and will be coordinating with Expedia for a partial refund although I know even Expedia won’t be assisting. The hotel stated to contact agency (Expedia) for a refund. This hotel is not even close to the pictures it’s advertised as. Some rude staff at the pool side also
- Diane (8/5): - Enjoyed a couple of days. Mostly Mexican families with fun pools and large splash pad. Quiet at night. Sweet small beach with palms. Food was okay. Service outstanding.
- Luis (4/5): - Not exactly what we were expected. The bathroom smells funny; towels too old; bed sheets old white grey color. Personel do the best they can but the issue is from management business. Breakfast buffet too poor (you can get better menu at Deny’s).
The location for this hotel is just what is save it
- Javier (8/5): 4 star - Towels in hotel are super old only, over all good clean place,Definitely will stay here again ,
- Mohammad asif (8/5): - The place was clean and the stuff was great!! The only thing I would love to see improvement will be a better food quality.
- Julie (8/5): - The resort was wonderful for a quiet vacation, the beach is wadeable but not really swimmable because of the seaweed. It is a close walk to the Ferry. The staff is nice, but not many of them speak english. The rooms are very clean and nice! We only ate at the buffett for all inclusive once because EXPEDIA was very dishonest in their presentation of the price of the all inclusive resort, and when I spoke with someone to book my stay she led me to believe it was all inclusive, but when we got there we found out the price we paid did not include meals. This was not the resorts fault but I will definitely NEVER BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA AGAIN. They were no help and took no responsibility.
- Bradley (8/5): Aquamarine - Pleasant stay. The beach isn’t what it is on the south end of the boulevard and caters more to Mexican tourism. Definitely worth the reasonable price.
- Madison (2/5): - Listen to the other bad reviews and do not stay here… if you do, do not pay the all inclusive package. The food is horrendous, they had raw meatballs on the buffet that were nor hot or cold… The midday “snack” is watered down nachos, and the cheapest looking pizza I’ve ever seen, imagine worse than Totino’s frozen pizzas if you’re from the US. We basically ate salad there and had to get food other places. They say they will charge you if you use the mini fridge or kitchenette in the room, normally those are INCLUDED in a All-Inclusive package?? The towels they have are extremely rough and ripped up. The bathroom has no exhaust fan, once you shower it stays humid in the bathroom until the next day midday. If you have asthma or mold allergies I do not recommend this place, I had a very bad flare up in my 3 days stay. The service at the front counter was awful, Esther is a very rude. The breakfast waiters are also VERY RUDE. If you have CHILDREN, this place closes the pool at 8. If you plan to stay here and go to the beach all day there will be no time to enjoy the pool when you get back because they close it so early? The beach area they have is black and full of seaweed… The most disappointing part. The margaritas and pina coladas are also pretty bad, watered down and chunky ice. Beds are hard, they are also not a queen size my husband and I sleep comfortably in a queen size at home but here we slept separately because the beds are so small . Not a 4 star hotel.
- Anwar (10/5): - I like this property and stuff who are very cordial and helpful. I stayed January 29 to Feb 2. Lots of parking and opposite site OXXO where you can buy almost all even SIM
- Saylor (8/5): - Great pools but not a dreamy beach due to seaweed which is not the fault of the hotel. It’s a sweet hotel that host families. This is not a Cancun party destination. It is helpful to know some Spanish if you stay here. Easy access to buses, Puerto Cancun ( giant shopping mall).
- Clement (8/5): - Like staff .
- Abe (10/5): - We really liked the pool options and the easy access to everything and the friendliness of the staff, you can tell it's an older place but it's well taken care of and the price was right for us.
- kathleen (8/5): - The staff is excellent a standout is Fausto the door man he goes above and beyond always making you feel welcomed. Property is clean and well maintained. Towels and sheets have seen better days although clean. A nice stay
- David (8/5): - poor wifi
- lea (6/5): - This place is nice enough. Everything is average. The staff is nice, but not going out of their way to make sure your have great stay. They charge you to turn on the refrigerator. The breakfast was good. The walls were so thin that I could hear the cellphone alerts from the room next door. I could hear their snoring as well. The towels were all very work out and ripped. There is no wifi. They claim there is wifi but when you arrive they tell you the wifi isn't working.
- Pooja (6/5): - Beachfront property but Overpriced
1. The best thing about the property is the beach access.
2. The pool and jacuzzi are good, poolside bar and snack bar were nice and not that expensive
3. There is a Starbucks, oxxo, and money exchange nearby
But it is not worth the money you pay overall!
1. The rooms are old, not like the pictures
2. The bathroom is so small and old and the door was not sliding properly, The Shower is the worst, lukewarm water only no hot water.
2. Towels are in the worst condition ever
- Bogdan (10/5): - I love This hotel very clean , big room good big parking all services is very nice and quick response definitely i will come back. Thank you !!!
- Svetlana (4/5): - At the front desk we were told to pay extra $300 because we are Americans. What? I had to call Expedia to figure it out but no luck as all phones are robots. Food is not good, limited, no fruits, no snacks. Will not recommend it.
- Rebecca (8/5): - The staff was awesome. Everyone was so helpful, especially the buffet workers. With four pool areas and a beach, nothing was crowded. While our room was mostly clean, the floor was really dirty. That was really our only issue.
- Shi (2/5): - Everything is limited. Food, entertainment, if you come here for the first time, I don’t recommend. Very disappointed. When I book with Expedia, it says all inclusive, but when I come here become breakfast only.
- Grant (6/5): - Nothing unique. Needs updating. Very limited
- Brian (8/5): - Everything was good in my opinion. It is kid friendly prepare for that. Seems like alot of locals which is fine. Hot tub is nice. Drinks were good and cheap if inclusive package isnt done. The beach is ok i went in an my feet sunk a half a foot lol probobaly not the best. The only negative is the wifi signal needs to be stronger especially being on the 6th floor alot of cut in an out
- Roberto (8/5): - Internet connection was not the best, but room was comfortable and breakfast buffet was good with nice service
- MARTHA MAYORGA (10/5): - Excelente servicio y cerca de la playa.
- MARTHA MAYORGA (10/5): - Excelente
- MARTHA MAYORGA (10/5): - estar muy cerca de la playa.
- Robin (6/5): - Didn't like
- Charles (10/5): - Great service and nice pool and restraunts. Beach is kinda small.
- Len (8/5): - We will be back
- Khristine (2/5): - Don’t waste money here. The room has a smell that will interrupt your “vacation”.
- NEVILLE TROY (10/5): - Nice staff
- Amber (8/5): - Staff was friendly & helpful. My room was clean with a descent view. I would return
- Jonathan (10/5): - Es un lugar no muy caro y tranquilo, la playa tiene esas plantas que quedan en la orilla pero esta super relajado y todos fueron amables. Volveria a hospedarme ahi. Es para personas que buscan algo tranquilo y no muy caro.
- Lesia (10/5): - Food and service is excellent. I will back at soon..
- Marco (10/5): - I like the location; I can go anyplace I like.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cleaning was excellent.
Breakfast has many good choices.
Overall, I will recommend this place.
- Kevin Luis Intriago (10/5): - I love the property and also had a lot activities for kids and adults
- Myrna (4/5): - El buffet no esta my bueno
Las reservaciones en Expedia para las edades de
Menores de edad no coinciden con las del hotel Aquamarina que el precio es de adulto a partir de los 13 años
- Rolando (8/5): - It was good
- Julieta Lindsay (6/5): - I did not like how the pool area closed at 8pm and the security guard was also rude about telling guest to get out of pool. I was unaware of the pool hours which I think the front guest should have given me a schedule of activities the hotel hosted as well as what time things closed. She did not disclose it.
- Saravanan (10/5): - The hotel was pretty decent The price of breakfast buffet was reasonable. Not of the restaurant was very nice. Regarding the rooms there were few lizards in the room which could have been avoided otherwise the stay was very pleasant well maintained swimming pools very good food very reasonable price. One bad experience for me was the hair straightener in one of the rooms. We believe it was taken by the room service but it was never written back that was the only bad experience we had there in that hotel but overall we enjoyed staying in this hotel and the staffs were friendly we love a coming back to this hotel once again
- Syeda (6/5): - Property was decent. You get what you pay for!
- Bridgett (2/5): - I complained about roaches being in the restroom, and on the bed. So they put a towel down in the restroom. The shower was stopped up and wouldn't drain. I was fighting roaches, And all sorts of bugs. Tv was only in Spanish, and only one person in the entire resort spoke English. The service was okay, but you had to go get your own drinks each time. The staff didn't ask, nor bring drinks to you on The beach nor pool area.
- annabelle (2/5): - Check-in is horrible, the lobby is not air-conditioned, for all-inclusive food is very limited, they will charge you for a can of soda and they give you only 2 bottles of water a day, we have to go to the stores to get 4 gallons of water for our 5-day stay. Our bathroom ceiling is leaking every time they flush the toilet above us, The AC is leaking too, we report but they said the bathroom leakage can’t be fixed, they were able to fix the AC. Our TV is broken you turn it on all you see is green, and the room smells moldy, I booked king king-size bed we got 2 small beds I asked them to move us to a different room but this request was ignored. Some staff are nice some avoid us because they can’t speak English, which is OK I have a translator on my phone to be able to communicate with them. This is the worse hotel I ever stayed and I will never recommend this hotel for the money you paid, it's not worth it. The hotel has a nice location in the hotel zone but for what you paid for this hotel you can get a better hotel than this.
- Karen (4/5): - Front desk people seemed annoyed about anyone asking questions once checked in already, all the food cooked there wasn’t good at all, bed are super hard and pillows very uncomfortable.
- Krishnadatt (8/5): - The room was basic. Double beds small. Clean. Very nice view of the beach and pool from my room. It was clean. The buffet option at the restaurant was great.
- Jean (2/5): - It wasn’t as expected
- Jose (10/5): - Booked this hotel last minute and let me tell you it was the best decision i made. Very good price and very nice rooms. Property was right on the main street. I had a car rental so parking was great and came in and out as i pleased. Walking distance of great restaurants and Starbucks. Staff was friendly. They have a couple stipulations that aren't hard to follow like returning all the room keys, remote and towel cards. No biggie we returned everything at checkout and we could legit say we will be back!
- tongtong (4/5): - Overall good
- gunvir (6/5): - Not bad
- Lilibeth (8/5): - Fun activities for the guests.
- Silvia (10/5): - Buen anbiente de las albercas accesso a los tours y comodida de las abitaciones y seguridad gracias
- Parthiban (6/5): - Nice and relaxing resort with good variety of activities/ food. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Wifi signal was very bad; hardly any signal in the room or common areas ( good way to detox).
- Len (10/5): - Have stayed here before and will stay here again
- RIDHU (10/5): - Very good stay
- Curtis (6/5): - Thank you…
- Kia (10/5): - nice and relaxing
- Segundo (10/5): - More dining options
- melina (10/5): - Nice view
- Marcia (10/5): - Staff were wonderful. Pools were nice. I got to work on my bad Spanish.
- Francisco (8/5): - Everything nice and clean
- JORGE (8/5): - Nothing additional
- Ledy (2/5): - Bad service
- OCTAVIANO (4/5): - Nothing good
- clota franklin brown (4/5): - We booked a King / matrimonial room and were given a kitchenette with two queens. This wouldn’t be a problem if the receptionist didn’t threaten my wife with an additional charge if we used the kitchen. In addition, we were threatened with additional charges for the remote control if we didn’t bring it to reception at checkout. Then there is the additional $50 charge if you lose your plastic bracelet. The food was as you would expect from an all inclusive hotel. Edible at best, not great. Did I mention you are not permitted to leave the restaurant with food / drink and are not permitted to bring outside food onto the property? Parking was great. The area around the property was great. Theres an oxxo directly across the street as well as a pharmacy. The property was at best a 2 out of 5 with everything considered.
- Victor (8/5): - It had a good vibe
- Patricia (2/5): - The hotel had nothing that they told us that it was all inclusive it did not have any childcare said it was not any free breakfast and then they charge for everything. My grandson peed on hiself in bed they charged us for that Wet sheets they charged us for towel that housekeeping took I would never go there again.
- CARLOS (6/5): - Rooms are definitely outdated! Need a touch of paint on all walls. Update the room restroom! It did not look very clean! The 24-inch cable TV never worked, only APPs like Netflix. The dining staff seemed bothered when a simple question or request was asked, and none of them knew the answer; they would refer you to the Front Desk. The only thing we liked about this "resort" were the Kid Friendly Activities by the Kids Splash Pad. Besides that, not staying here. When checking out, the Front Desk Staff commands you to have a seat while the room is being "inspected", disregarding that your airport shuttle arrived and ready to go.
I would not recommend anyone stay here, unless its a last resort option.
- Julio (10/5): - Everything was good
- Alex (10/5): - Nice and clean, easy and quick check in process
- Yvonne (10/5): - Excellent location. The beach and pools are in great condition. Excellent for a family vacation.
- Sisay (4/5): - What I like about the hotel location is convenient. What I don’t like is the food is so terrible with very limited choices, very old hotel with very old bed sheets, front desk don't speak English. Worst customer service.
- Johanna (6/5): - The WiFi was trash! Wifi basically only worked in lobby. Sewing smell throughout day by pool and in room. Loud sounds of tools & furniture dragging.
- Miguel (2/5): - Staff didn't speak English. Food was terrible some of the worst. Events were far from the hotel aside from the boating trips. Wouldn't recommend.
- Mathew (8/5): - Nice to be close to beach.
- Victoria (8/5): - If you want to experience a vacation in Mexico in a place that mostly cater to latin guests and therefore cater food wise more so to the latin tastebuds, then this is your place! They do have hamburgers, pizza and hotdogs too but who goes to Mexico to eat Hamburgers? Here we are talking fresh made corn tortillas, hand rolled and fried right infront of you, food that I have never tried before and everything was great, I stayed for one week with my 17 year old son who might not as adventurous with food as I am, but he ate well every day thanks to a buffet with a wide vierety morning and lunch and different themes every night. Staff are very nice, some limited in English but you are in Mexico, have fun and practice the Spanish you know and they will embrace you.Our room was nothing fancy, but it was clean, and it got cleaned everyday. Beach was nice, Pool are very clean and nice, gym small but clean and nice. My son and I enjoyed walking the shore line every morning. You will see some presence from the police but we just found that ensuring of safety. We did not venture out at night but enjoyed dinner and entertainment on the property every night. They have entertainment for kids and families throughout the day. A nice swim up bar with shade next to the kids pool. Towel service. The beach has a nice palm tree shaded area if you want to hide from the sun. For us this was a great experience and we will visit again.
- Ruth (2/5): - Horrible experience! Rude and unprofessional staff at the front desk that don’t seem to care. The check-out process is a hassle, they make you wait for room to be checked and they lack communication. I waited over an hour to be told that it was ok to leave. Only plus was the guy at the pool bar and girl doing the games by the pool. It’s a cheaper option that caters to mostly locals. Stay away from this place and spend your money elsewhere! I won’t ever stay here again.
- Leroy (4/5): Not impressed. - This facility advertises that it is "Non-Smoking". This is not enforced as multiple people were walking around and sitting by the pool smoking.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Ate something that gave me Diarrhea, cost me two days of vacation recovering from that.
- ashok (8/5): - Good
- pierre antoine (10/5): - Good
- Anil k (2/5): - i booked for all inclusive but they even did not give me water or coffee
its not 4 star hotel its cheater hotel
- Margarita (8/5): - Cenar bien en restaurantes, el hotel no tiene , y para comprar es un peligro crucero la calle . Quiero destacar el servicio del cuarto , lo encontré excelente . Gracias
- Blagunce (2/5): - I got this place because the description said “all inclusive.” During arrival, I was informed that I would have to pay another over $1000 to switch to all inclusive. I then asked if there was at least a breakfast included. They said No. Please be careful when booking this site or you could end up paying a lot more for your stay. The staff was not helpful and didn’t really care either. I will not be going to this place again.
