• delaunek2026 (2/5): A student's exam and future destroyed by Harbour Plaza Metropolis - I am just a student who came to Hong Kong alone to take one of the most important exams of my life. I chose Harbour Plaza Metropolis hoping for a safe and quiet place to prepare, but what I got was the worst nightmare of my life. During my stay, housekeeping staff accidentally knocked over my custom-made glasses — the only pair I had, without which I cannot see, cannot study, and cannot even take my exam. The cost to replace them is tens of thousands of HKD, which is an unimaginable burden for a student like me. When I begged the hotel for help, the manager refused to even apologize. Instead, he shouted at me, told me it was my fault, and threatened me, saying, "Call the police if you dare." I felt so helpless, so scared, I could barely breathe. I had no choice but to call the police and file a report, just to feel safe. Now, my exam is ruined. I cannot focus, l cannot sleep, I am terrified to even leave my room. This hotel did not just break my glasses - they broke my confidence, my hope, and the chance to change my future. To every student, every traveler, please listen to me: Do not stay here. This place does not care about you, your safety, or your future. They only care about their money, and they will destroy you without a second thought.

A retreat from the hustle & bustle. - The hotel is connected to a shopping mall with access to facilities and places to eat. From there, the Metro is a close walk to get you around town. The view from the Patio Bar is amazing. As is much of Hong Kong, it is surrounded by ring roads and fly-overs. It is possible to walk out of the hotel to surrounding areas. Takes a bit to work out for non locals.

• Prakash Damodar (10/5): Excellent Stay with Stunning Harbour Views & Unmatched Convenience - We had a fantastic 7-day stay at Harbour Plaza Metropolis, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The experience started on a great note with an early check-in at 12:30 pm, which was very much appreciated after a long journey. Our room came with a beautiful harbour view, and it was truly amazing to wake up to that scenery every single day. The hotel also surprised us with a welcome fruit platter, a thoughtful and warm gesture. One of the highlights of the room was the separate kitchen, which helped keep cooking sounds and smells away from the living space—very practical and well-designed. Housekeeping was done daily, and a special mention goes to Ying from the housekeeping team. She consistently checked what time was convenient for cleaning and if we needed anything else in the room. That level of care and attention made the stay feel very personal. The hotel’s location is unbeatable. It is located inside Fortune Metropolis and is directly next to Hung Hom MTR station, making transport around Hong Kong extremely easy. Shopping, dining, and connectivity were all right at our doorstep—perfect for tourists and first-time visitors. Facilities were excellent as well. The gym is well-equipped, with plenty of treadmills and a separate section for weights. The swimming pool is beautiful, with lifeguards always present, and towels are conveniently provided at the pool area. Finally, the reception staff were courteous and helpful during both check-in and check-out, making the entire stay smooth and stress-free. Overall, Harbour Plaza Metropolis is a must-stay hotel in Hong Kong—especially for tourists and first-time visitors looking for comfort, convenience, and memorable harbour views. Highly recommended! • Denyse (9/5): - Ein gepflegtes Stadthotel an zentraler Lage. Über die schöne Uferpromenade kann man sogar zu Fuss ins Zentrum gehen, Dauer ca. 40 Minuten. Das Hotel bietet aber auch stündlich einen Shuttlebus ins Zentrum an. Es verfügt über eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit einem grandiosen Blick auf die Skyline. Dort ist rauchen erlaubt. Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet mit einer sehr grossen Auswahl an Speisen.

They went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and explained where to go for tourist attractions as it’s quite tricky when you don’t speak the local language. Service was incredible!! Also train station really close by and easy to use. Nothing really. It was just unfortunate that the swimming pool was closed for maintenance as we would’ve liked a swim. Will just have to go again.
• Edwin (8/5): Zweckmässiges Hotel an spezieller Lage - Das Hotel befindet sich in einem grösseren Komplex bzw. Shoppingcenter. Über einen teilweise überdachten Fussweg erreicht man problemlos die Tsim Sha Tsui Promende. Zu Fuss braucht man eine gute halbe Stunde zum Star Ferry Pier, um von dort nach Central Hong Kong zu gelangen. Es geht natürlich auch einfacher mit der MRT (Metro) von Hung Hom, welche man zu Fuss in ca. 6 Minuten erreicht. Die Zimmer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet, nicht über-proportioniert, aber soweit okay. Der Frühstücksraum ist üppig ausgestattet und die Speisen sind sehr reichhaltig und gut. Der Preis für das Frühstück ist eher hoch, soviel kann man gar nicht essen. Die Lage ist etwas abseits der grossen Touristenströme. Für uns war das aber kein Problem. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Harbor gebucht. Der Blick auf den Harbor war seitlich und schon sehr eingeschränkt. Da haben wir uns schon etwas anderes vorgestellt. Die Lage ist speziell, aber mit guter Organisation kann man damit leben. Der Preis für das Frühstück war an der oberen Kante.

• 4chillis (8/5): Clean and comfortable. - If you are dropped off by car it may seem like you are in thr middle of nowhere however, it is a quick, easy 5 minute walk to the metro station and a 5 minute walk to the harbour. There is a ferry stop nearby too. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large for Hong Kong standards and are clean and comfortable. 2 people with bags easily fit. In a sustainability measure Hong Kong has outlawed disposable toiletries but if you are caught out they are available for purchase at a reasonable price. Shower gel and shampoo are provided. We were in room 2179 and the water pressure was poor in the shower. There also don't seem to be a lot of restaurants nearby however, there is a free shuttle bus which drops you in a restaurant area.

If you want to stay in Hong Kong, with a reasonable budget without compromising convenience, this is the place to stay. It's not a luxury hotel, but it really ticks the vast majority of checkboxes. A little bit old. The hotel is showing its age. The 1st room we were given was also quite smelly. But once we notified the front desk, they promptly moved us to a better room. So it was just that 1 room.

• Odyssey28654484413 (8/5): Ok Hotel - Location good - Amenities dated - Hotel has come to age , but if you’re lucky some of the staff is amazingly friendly and supportive. Rooms are a little stuffy, even though they claim non smoking rooms, there’s been people smoking in some of the clearly. Location is good, close to metro station. Gym also has come to age but is completely equipped.
