Guest Reviews
- Tatjana (8/5): - Låg mitt bland gränderna. Nära till restauranger, barer och minimarket. 10 minuter till bron som går in till centrum.
- Virginia (1/5): Mouldy dank hell hole of misery - The location was good. I previously lived in the neighbourhood for 8 years. Lovely seeing my old neighbours It was not fit for human occupation. It was extremely damp, mouldy, stinking and filthy. The only air came from the front door and tiny window in the bathroom at the back. There’s a subterranean room under the flat like is like a sauna with stairs leading into it from the living room. It has a skylight into the kitchen that is dripping with water. The bed itself was damp and stinky and the sheets were covered in stains. There’s a skylight above the bed that doesn’t open nor can it be covered so you get direct light in your face very early in the morning. The kitchen utensils in the drying rack were coated in furry mould. There’s visible mould on the ceilings, in the kitchen, in the shower and a thick patch of white fungus growing on the wall under the kitchen table. The paint and plaster is crumbling everywhere from the damp. We had to keep the windows open all night to breathe at all and then suffered mosquito bites from head to toe. My 5 year old daughter was sneezing, coughing and had a runny nose every time we entered the apartment. Then she was nearly eaten alive by mosquitoes. My eyes were nearly swollen shut in the mornings and my lungs aching. If someone had asthma, I think they could easily die from the mould in there. The floors were so dirty my feet would be black after a few minutes walking on them. Behind all the furniture was thick dust and dirt and spider webs. They had a powerful “air freshener” positioned on top of the kitchen cupboards to try to mask the smell as you came in.
I messaged, emailed, rang the agency that managed the property (Beesprint) endlessly after our 1st night with hardly a response. I was told by someone there that it was her colleague’s property and he’d call me after lunch after 2pm. He never called. I sent photos of the state of the flat and was told a manager would call ASAP. Hours later, nothing. I received an email from their customer support offering to refund me the €90 cleaning fee I had paid.
- Emily (5/5): Small, dirty apartment was overpriced but conveniently located - Location is very central and ideal to visiting many places. Apartment is a converted garage or something and very dirty. The floors, walls, ceilings, bathroom and kitchen were all pretty filthy despite ‘a cleaning crew having come in’. They must have just changed the bedsheets and wiped down the table, however since one bed was a trundle bed, the sheets that touched the ground were full of stains and dust bunnies. The mattress also had tons of mystery particles and hairs wound throughout. My daughter got massacred by some sort of bug from the trundle bed (not bed bugs), so we rearranged the mattress after cleaning the floors ourselves.
The pillows, couch and extra blankets smell like they have never been washed.
We were told Rome is very humid, but they have a serious mold problem in this location. If you have allergies to dust or mold I would not recommend.
They do not provide dish soap, sponges and only micro samples of toiletries for one day, so you must bring it all yourself.
Refrigerator leaks water all over the top shelf and the floor and has bugs and black mold. One burner doesn’t work, small appliances don’t work. Only basic Utensils are provided and half (stove lighter, scissors) are broken.
The large bed is comfortable but pull out bed is not. Suitable for very light children.
Situated in a small alley in a cute neighborhood.
It wasn’t that expensive compared to other places in Rome but way too expensive for what it is. They can only get away with this because it’s Rome was our final conclusion. I would not stay here again.
The cleaning fee is a scam and should be refunded.
- Reida (8/5): Nice & cute studio to explore Rome - The location was excellent & close to everything. The staff was friendly & did everything possible to let us in before check-in time, so we did not have to wait. The studio was cute & comfortable. I forgot to add to my precious review: Apart from the dust on walls & floors, which make it uncomfortable por dust allergies, that the toaster & kettle did not work. There was mold at the bottom of the coffee machine, the hairdryer did not have strength to blow hot air, so we could not dry our hair. I was charged extra money (77.97 euros) on the arrival day ( june 3) to my credit card that I did not know about and they asked me for 36 euros for tourist tax on arrival which was not advertised, & I payed them cash.
- Csaba (6/5): An okay apartment which could be super with some effort - - Excellent location in the heart of Trastevere
- Large apartment, spacy rooms (even the bathroom is huge)
- Ground floor, so the climate is very good inside even during summer
- There are 2 air conditioners which are functioning very well
- The Wi-fi was extremly good
- Very quiet neighbourhood in a very noisy area
- Good books related to art and to Rome - The bed was uncomfortable, it was hard to get a good sleep
- There's a huge basement underneath the apartment and there's a musty smell coming from it which bothered us. The cellar door is mouldy.
- It is difficult to ventilate the apartment since there's the front door and one roof window
- The kitchen is well equipped, still we didn't find a few basic things like dish towel or wooden spoon
- Natasha (5/5): Passable -
- Zaneta (10/5): Thank you Barbara for everything! -
- Elena (6/5): Pleasant - Barbara super efficiente e disponibilissima
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Apartment was comfortable, everything we needed was there, location was close to all the famous sites in Rome and on top of that our host, Barbara, was always there to help us and to give us all the information we needed. -
