- Efi (10/5): Τεράστιο άνετο δωμάτιο σε καταπληκτική τοποθεσία όλα με τα πόδια κοντά στο κέντρο και στα αξιοθέατα. - Πολύ καλή τοποθεσία . Κοντά στο κέντρο και στα αξιοθέατα. Με τα πόδια είδαμε τα περισσότερα. Εύκολη πρόσβαση σε όλες τις συγκοινωνίες για τις παραλίες και τον μεγάλο Zoo. Ίσως καλύτερη τιμή στο πρωινό.

- Karen (6/5): Adequate, but a bit aged and dingy. - The staff were very professional and polite. The bed was comfortable. The room was very tired and outdated. The paint work was pretty appalling and it just felt shabby for the price. Everything was functional, it just wasn’t a particularly pleasant ambience to the room. In hindsight I wished I had paid slightly more and stayed elsewhere.

- corinne (7/5): - Appartement correct mais un peu vieillot Nous aurions aimé trouver dans notre kitchenette suffisamment de vaisselle pour les 4 personnes que nous étions, ainsi qu'une casserole pour pouvoir cuisiner, et ceci sans avoir à le réclamer... Nous n'avions pas 4 chaises ni une table suffisamment grande pour pouvoir tous nous assoir autour. C'est également le seul hébergement que nous avons eu en Australie qui ne comportait pas de brosse dans les toilettes...c'est problématique quand 4 personnes vivent dans cet hébergement pendant plusieurs jours. Ceci n'a pas suffi à gâcher notre séjour, mais attention: l'accueil du client passe aussi par le fait de s'assurer que celui-ci disposera du minimum lors de son entrée dans les lieux...à améliorer !

- Gemma (7/5): Nice but can be noisy due to central location - hotel was pretty and we got a free upgrade - elevators were fast The room on level 2 was noisy, due to amazing location being central it comes with a lot of street noise. Breakfast was okay but too expensive for what you get ($37 buffet) so we didn't attend.
- Caitiej (9/5): Nice stay - Comfortable room. Great brekky. Staff were helpful. If utklising hotel parking...Getting into the car park was somewhat of a hassle due to the intercom not working. I feel it would also be useful to have bigger, bolder signage of which lifts should be used to get to the hotel lobby/accomodation levels, we mistakenly took the residential lifts initially and were really confused. Staff member was very helpful though in redirecting us to get to the correct lifts.

The room was really spacious, with access to a balcony and fresh air, with full kitchen and comfortable bed. The only negative was a slight smell in the bathroom, either from the drain or plumbing(?) - not extreme but definitely noticeable on one or two mornings.

Floor level changes which were fine and floor coverings (carpet/tile) spacious rooms with easy access to elevators. Towels were limited but sufficient. Staff very helpful and valued. Breakfast coffee machine didn't work but staff made cofees for us! Missed having the pool this time and location looked a bit more populated than last trip a few years ago. Enjoyed the location as in the past and getting around was okay. Would have liked to take a few short excursions but did not see any offerred.

Had booked triple occupancy but single occupancy amenities were provided so had to ask for basics. Even a simple amenity like a BODY LOTION was not available whereas the other hotels with a lower classification had it in Sydney and Canberra. There was no writing table in the room. Rooms need deep cleaning, there was lot of dust near microwave and fridge top. Found a Cockroach on the bed. The breakfast menu was exactly the same for all the 4 days we stayed there. However the Executive Chef and the restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful. Wasn’t value for money at all. Holiday Inn Express at the airport was much much better in terms of amenities and was value for money.

The apartment was too hot and we had to sleep with the patio door open. However this let the mosquitos in. The water was not hot in the shower. The TV faced the bed, not the sofa.

I was travelling with my two children and it was a wonderful treat for them. Even though the pool wasn't available the staff guided us to the nearby aquatic centre so were still able to swim. The breakfast spread was fantastic with a mixture of healthy and unhealthy options, very impressed. Nothing

- taneska (1/5): Very disappointing, never again in this hotel. - Very outdated. There were cocoraches in the room. Very old and mouldy bathroom, the toilet didn't flush. The furniture was falling apart. The swimming pool was closed for renovations, that was not mentioned on the website when I made the booking even though it had been closed for months ( That was the main reason I chose this hotel) Very, very disappointing.
- Sharing-ze-love (6/5): Expected a little more... - Rydges was a bit of a mixed bag. The beds were comfortable, staff were pleasant, and we appreciated the later checkout. Housekeeping also did a great job servicing the room while we were out. That said, the decor felt quite tired and there were a few maintenance issues. One of the beds was missing a bedside table and didn’t have a bedhead, which made it feel like an afterthought — I ended up dragging a chair in from the balcony just to have somewhere to put things. The shower door didn’t close properly, and the bathroom ceiling looked like it was mid-repair (it had been replaced but not painted after lighting work), giving it an unfinished feel. Street noise was quite loud at night, so we ended up using white noise to sleep. On the plus side, the blackout curtains were excellent. The shower temperature was also oddly difficult to get right — something that shouldn’t be an issue with a standard mixer. The biggest downside for us was the carpet. It felt old, sticky and worn to the point where you didn’t really want to walk on it barefoot — it honestly gave off “old nightclub” vibes and made me wish I had slippers just to get from the bathroom to the bed. While the rest of the room appeared clean, the carpet let it down significantly. Location-wise, it’s great — plenty of food options nearby and an easy, pleasant 45ish minute walk to Circular Quay. Overall, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. There are definitely positives, but the condition of the room (particularly the carpet) would likely stop us from returning.
- suzanne (8/5): It was convenient - The location was excellent as we were having dinner in Darling Harbour We didn’t like the fee charged for early entry to rooms when the rooms in question had not been booked the night before and were empty. We booked 5 rooms as we were getting married in the city. Our friends and family stayed too. A fee of $20- $80 charged for each room for early entry when they needed to get ready for our wedding seemed really unfair when we knew the rooms they needed were not booked the night before and were empty. Why I ask??

Not properly vacuumed. Disappointing to see disposable cups in the dining room instead of ceramic, and coffee bags which I consider wasteful. It seemed barista coffee was available but still used disposable cups.

The room itself was clean, comfy and had everything you’d need Shame there isn’t any parking onsite, but we chose to pick up a car once we left the hotel/Sydney for this reason. You don’t need a car if you stay in such a central location.

- CHRISTOPHER (8/5): Great hotel in good location. - The hotel is in a convenient location and is quiet despite being in a busy area. The bed was very comfortable, with good quality linen. The facilities were clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Some bottled water in the room would have been good. Filter coffee and china cups would have made the breakfast even better, rather than paper cups and coffee bags.

Given a room upgrade was a nice surprise Outside area was filthy. Cigarette butts on the outdoor chairs. Empty water bottle on the ground. Area had not been cleaned or wiped down for months. Really needs a good hose and wipe down. Furniture is likely unsafe as it is brittle and old. But everything else was great. This was the only let down.
