• Alina (8/5): - Our stay at the Hotel San Zaccaria was very nice overall. The hotel scored particularly well with its cleanliness, the extremely friendly and helpful staff and the great location in the immediate vicinity of St Mark's Square - perfect for exploring Venice. However, a few points could be improved: The thin doors and walls make the hotel very noisy, making it easy to hear noise from neighbours. The furnishings are slightly old-fashioned, but still have a certain charm. As there were no vegan breakfast options, we didn't book breakfast. Overall a nice stay - especially recommended for travellers who value a central location and friendly service.

It is super convenient to the vaporetto, to San Marco, and to all of our favorite restaurants. It's also quiet, well appointed, and super friendly!

Da consigliare sicuramente.

• the-tml (8/5): Excellent location, romantic room - I stayed for three nights on a two-week solo winter Interrail trip. The hotel was not close to the station but definitely within walkable distance. The room was perhaps a bit pointlessly romantic for me as a solo traveler, but I would love to come back with the wife another time. This being the low season, it was quite affordable. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, I am in general not a very breakfasty person, and I prefer to try different places for breakfast each day when travelling. The location was excellent, close to St Mark Square, if that is your thing, and thus also close to the watebus stops there, to quickly get you elsewhere in the city.

• alejandromG5317PN (10/5): So pleasant of a surprise - After two weeks of traveling on the North of Italy, staying at 6 different hotels, this one was the best (by far). Lovely accommodation, superb cleaningness, great amenities, perfectly located (few steps from Piazza San Marco), but the best... an extraordinary good service by all the staff.
• Gavin (6/5): - Very hard to find the rooms - it’s a maze. The photos online, whilst technically accurate, don’t entirely reflect the actual result. They are renovating the lobby so access is not the best and almost no space in the lift for people and luggage. Great staff who were very helpful

The rooms do not look like the pictures at all. It says they have air conditioning but they do not , staff stated it had been broken for 60 days. We did ask at booking and they stated they did have A/C. No screens so couldn't open windows. No coffee maker In room or in the lobby of the sister hotel. Would not stay there again.

• Tracy (6/5): - The location is awesome and walkable to most attractions. Our room is very cozy and could use some updating but if you want to be in the city centre it’s a reasonable trade off. Even though we prepaid our stay (including taxes &fees), there’s additional travel tax due and only accept cash which is confusing given that we stayed in Venice not travelling into the city.

It is in a courtyard which connects the main strip to an alley and it is heavily used by people. It’s is extremely noisy 24/7. The hotel is in major need of updating. Although beds are ok and comfortable, room is clean and have AC which is great, all the furniture are very old, The balcony iron rod fence was rusted and peeling couldn’t touch it. I would rather stay somewhere else next time.

• Adam (10/5): Good hotel near The Square! - Really enjoyed this hotel. It was interesting checking in since the lobby door is down by the water front. They own the restaurant out front, but we didn't know that. What looks to be the lobby, is actually the way in and out from where we stayed. Even though we couldn't get some things in the shower working, it was still a nice shower. Comfy beds, air conditioned, and clean.

The hotel staff were very helpful and our room was comfortable and clean. Use of mini fridge and the lift was also useful. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Venice.

Essa forma de check in deveria ter sido informada na reserva para reduzir o tempo de busca e espera. O ar condicionado nao estava funcionando e após o questionamento foi informado q era questões ecológicas e que deveria abrir as janelas para melhorar a temperatura. Veneza estava bem quente e abrimos a Janela porém entrou muitos mosquitos a nos proporcionou um péssima noite de sono. Todas essas informações sobre o não fundamento do ar condicionado deve estar explícita no momento da reserva, pois o valor da diária foi elevada em relação a outros hotéis q ofereciam as mesmas condições Nao recomendo o hotel, pois as informações passadas na reserva não são as que ocorrem no momento da hospedagem
• Diane S (10/5): Great location - normal size room for Venice, but with a lovely view of the church. Small bathroom with a walk-in shower. Has safe and fridge. Also has an elevator which is helpful as it’s an older building. Lovely antiques and the bed is comfortable. I like being so close to st mark’s square. Got 10% off food at the attachéd restaurant. Includes good sized breakfast.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Okay. Great location - dated room - Check in is at a hotel a 100m walk away, no issues, very efficient. Room very dated but clean bar a few rogue hairs in bathroom. Bed was very hard but we slept surprisingly well. Bathroom well due an upgrade, but there was hot water and good water pressure. Whole room smelt very damp, air con was stuck on 22deg. Breakfast (also in other hotel) was fine. Pastries stale but scrambled eggs & bacon pretty good. A fair variety & good coffee/tea selection. Incredible location, right next to the ferry terminals and 5 min walk to all the attractions. In fact, location couldn’t really be better. Keep cash for taxes when checking out!

• Douglas (10/5): - Simple hotel but very conveniently located and with fantastic staff. From the outside it does not seem much but the rooms are great. The reception and breakfast are in the sister hotel, it is unusual but works ok as it is 40 m away.

Our room was comfortable and spacious with a nice view. The rooms don’t have much additional features, ie iron, kettle etc. but very clean and tidy. Handy location to many great sights.

Close to the San Zaccaria water taxi stop, making it convenient when wanting to take the water taxi to the train station, the surrounding islands and the airport. The family suite for four people was a very spacious two bedroom with ample space within the bedrooms itself. The staff is courteous and the breakfast was amazing.
