• Timms (10/5): Welcoming, clean and very accommodation. - Location was nice because it is near my daughter's apartment. Breakfast was excellent. Staff accommodated us requesting an extra blanket very quickly. Great stay! Ice not on our floor, but really not a big deal.

• Jessie (8/5): This is my go-to NYC hotel. I just returned from my second stay with my teenage son. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. - The location can’t be beat, at this price point. So close to many food choices, the subway, and amenities. The elevator was a little squeaky and we could hear it from our room, but it didn’t keep us up at night.

• Cheryl (7/5): Good location, very nice staff. - The location was good convenient for our needs. The room was small but, we were not in the room much so size did not matter. The STAFF WAS SO NICE! We were only given towels for one person vs. two in the room (consistently). The TV did not work at first, had to call it in. The lobby was stacked with suitcases but, the staff worked hard to handle the situation. The lights in the elevator buttons did not work.

Whilst the outside looks quite meek, and I would recommend them putting some lights outside as it would be easier to find when we return on the evening, I cannot fault the experience or the staff, particularly Jessie Johnson. The breakfast has been fantastic we have been early so I don't know about the reviews that say things were out later, however there is orange juice, apple juice, strawberry and kiwi water available. There are two types of wafflemakers with batter readily available. Three types of cereal and there is oatmeal, there has been scrambled eggs and potato option and a sausage/turkey sausage meat option each morning. They have hot water although no English breakfast tea, there are a range of available. That is open 24 seven for decaf, dark roast and light roast coffee as well. It was very nice when we came in night it was cold and they had a hot chocolate station. They've treated my two children who are 10 and 12 with great care. There is a little station where you can get noodles and snacks you can buy those at reception, and then there is microwave available there to heat those up if you want to. We also have the breakfast station with breads and muffin options range of sauces et cetera.Although not the biggest, the restaurant it certainly is suited to what we need. The room has cleaned every day with the beds being made, shower is a great temperature and strong enough, bath is very small but that's to be expected I think in New York. The beds are a good English size King, plenty of channels on the TV but excessive amounts of adverts as they tend to have an American TV. There are hot water facilities in the room a hairdryer, complementary shampoo, shower gel, and anything we needed at the desk they have arranged for us.

• Hsinjou (8/5): Good location and value for money. But a bit noisy and cleanness could be improved. - The location was great, close to public transit and within walking distance to many attractions. The room was a decent side for being in downtown New York and had large windows facing the street. The bed was comfortable and big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. Our room was very close to the elevator and thus somewhat noisy. We also noticed a visible gap even when the door was full closed, which might have contributed to even more noise. Our fridge was broken so we couldn’t store any fresh food. The front desk responded quickly to our request and had a maintenance man to come to fix it right away. However, he didn’t fix it so we still couldn’t use the fridge in the end. The breakfast area was very dirty. We understand that many guests were using it in the morning but h the tables were extremely sticky and the trash was spilling out of the bins. We also had a problem with the elevator. At one point we were going up back to the room, but the elevator stopped at floor 12 and stopped moving at all. Fortunately we were still able to open the door so us and three other guests came out and took the stairs instead. It was a quite a scary experience.
• Tamara (8/5): Ich würde die Unterkunft wieder wählen da es supper Lage ist und im ganzen hat es uns gut gefallen - Es ist sehr zentrall. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Bei der Ankunft habe ich im Zimmer bemerkt das dass unterlaken verschmuzt ist. Auch die Bettwäsche würde in 6 nächten nur ein mal gewechselt, aber Badetücher jeden Tag.

Opcja rezerwacji pokoi z dwoma łóżkami. Kawa, herbata dostępne cały dzień w sali śniadaniowej. Duża dbałość o czystość Nie trzeba długo czekać na windy ( w wielu innych hotelach na Manhattanie to duży problem). Prawidłowo działające ogrzewanie w środku zimy. Trochę stare windy i korytarze. Raczej podstawowe śniadanie ( ale smaczne) .

• davidtO3438ZB (2/5): No heat in New York for £400 a night! No apology - No heating in December. No apology. No how was your stay at check out. No follow up. No gesture of good will. The hassle of waiting with the maintenance guy for an hour when we arrived, where we needed to change, who couldn’t fix it and couldn’t let us know what was going on in itself disrupted our trip. Then offered a room downgrade without a view which we declined if it could be sorted. Told it would be sorted and a very small heater placed in room for the night. Freezing room until the heating was eventually turned off turning off the cold air. That’s exactly how the situation unfolded. Very dated rooms with leaking tap and dated fabrics and wall finishes. Good location for me, but imagine being in a hotel with no heat in the winter paying near £400 a night and they don’t sort it in the week (we asked again to be told they’d check) and no offer or partial refund. No heat in New York for £400 a night!

L'armadio (poco capiente per 4 persone) e la stanza (troppo piccola per 4 persone).

• NMCKc (8/5): Visiting daughter in East Village - Yes this hotel is old. But the location is hard to beat for the price. You’re minutes from the F train and walking distance to many great options for dinner. It’s 15 minutes to anything you want to see in the city. Showers are nice and warm. Only 8 rooms per floor so 2 elevators are only needed. It is clean, staff is attentive - it just isn’t new. Sheets were good. Bed was comfy. Pillows good and very quiet for NYC. Also the room had a nice desk for working - not common in this price range. I’d stay again. They do a great job. I did not say 5 stars because it is not a fancy place. At this price if you don’t like the “cheap” breakfast you can walk around the corner to a French place, bagels or many coffeehouses

• Michael (6/5): - Our accessible room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel overall is not in top condition. The shower was almost impossible to use except as hand-held. There are just two small elevators. Breakfast was truly awful. The only bread item was sliced white loaf. I couldn't swallow the potatoes. The front desk staff were mostly friendly, but here is one very simple suggestion: when a guest arrives to check in, no matter how important whatever you're doing on your phone is, just look up, smile and say "I'll be with you in just a minute." We usually stay at another hotel on the same block, and I think I'll go back there next time. The rooms are a bit smaller, but the staff are super helpful and at least you can get a bagel and a decent cup of coffee for breakfast. Which, for $500 a night, isn't really asking too much.
