• Cathryn (10/5): Liebevoll restaurierter Altbau in Top Lage - Massimiliano ist ein hervorragender Gastgeber und nimmt sich viel Zeit für seine Gäste. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist liebevoll restauriert und ausgestattet. Vor der Anreise bekamen wir umfangreiche Informationen, die den Self Check-In kinderleicht machten sowie wertvolle Tipps zu Gastronomien und Anreise. Am Abreisetag durften wir nach dem Check Out unser Gepäck noch in der Unterkunft lassen. Unser Dreibett-Zimmer war sehr geräumig und trotz der zentralen Lage unglaublich ruhig! Kaffee, Tee und eine Minibar sind vorhanden. Das Frühstück ist typisch italienisch mit Café, Dolce sowie Joghurt und von hervorragender Qualität. Wer körperlich eingeschränkt ist, dürfte mit dem Treppenhaus zur Unterkunft (2. Etage) Schwierigkeit haben.

Modern renovations inside the rooms. There are two tall stone stairs at the entrance of the building to get to the accommodations. The street is very comercial and busy. Breakfast is served, not self service. I was at room Ma Tai, small, in two floors, good to sleep. I recomend the room comfort, and Massimiliano sympathy. Self service breakfast and one floor room.

I loved the breakfast room and the terrace. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, perfect with the little balcony. Massimiliano, Ida and their staff were very friendly and helpful. The location itself is ideal to explore Napoli. Easy to reach from the harbour and the train station, approx. 25min walking distance.

• Tania (7/5): Buenísima ubicación, no te guíes por la fachada - Me gustó mucho la ubicación, tiene restaurante por todos lados. Es en la calle de la catedral . La habitación era espaciosa para mí y mi hermana. El baño muy cómodo y al parecer todo muy nuevo. El desayuno era rico pero solo tenía opción dulce, nada salado o pan con algun ingrediente y además, empezaba a las 8:30, un poco tarde para tomarlo antes de algunos tours incluso. Por otra parte, las toallas y sábanas tenían olor a vinagre, realmente entiendo el uso del vinagre cuando lavo ese tipo de ropa Pero estaban tan pasadas que era desagradable.

• Jane (10/5): Very nice B&B on Via Duomo with excellent location - Very nice b&b with accommodating host (we were able to get into our room at 10:30am). Good typical Italian breakfast. Very nice serving and housekeeping staff. As a senior, I did find the stairs to the B&B a bit challenging. The TV (very large with access to streaming services) was in the bedroom. I would have preferred it to be in the living room. Neither of these issues take away from the fact that this is a very nice b&b with charming host and staff.

• Cynthia (6/5): Okay, but would not stay there again. - Ida was very helpful making a taxi appointment for me . The room was nicely designed. Although I arrived late in the evening and had to leave early, the room faced another building so there was no natural light. Also. the other big issue was that the BB is on the 2nd floor of an older building, and you have to climb up at least 30 steps to get to it. The hallway, where you have to get your key after hours was dimly lit, and I had to use a flashlight to properly read the lock #'s. It also didn't feel very safe, being so dark.

The staff was nice and accommodating, the instructions complex but clear when received. The stairs!! It should be clearly stated that it is a second floor with massive steps, no elevator. Really not for everyone and not for all luggage. None to help bring the luggage up.

Keypad took a little getting used to on arrival but it may have been that it was late and we were tired. You need to read everything carefully!

We hebben de eigenaars helaas niet gezien omdat we veel op pad waren, maar het contact via whatsapp was erg prettig en alle info vooraf erg nuttig. Omdat we vroeg naar het vliegveld moesten, heeft Ida een taxi geregeld die netjes op tijd was, nogmaals dank! Omdat we steeds vroeg op excursie gingen, werd het ontbijt de dag ervoor op de kamer bezorgd. Natuurlijk een fijne service maar het had wel wat uitgebreider gemogen…

• Alexandra (9/5): Comfortable and convenient location with excellent hosts. - The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Any problems were sorted out quickly. For example, we needed more pillows as there were only two on the double bed: one each. When we needed a taxi to the airport on our last day, the owner, Massimiliano, phoned twice and even came and stood in the street with us to ensure we were safely on our way. The shower was hot and powerful. The corners of the bathroom needed a deep clean. Our room looked onto an inner courtyard which wasn't very pretty, but this is hardly the hotel's fault as it is a communal courtyard in Naples: I suspect they are all like that! There were net curtains to hide the view.
• Ruth (9/5): Comfortable stylish base for exploring Naples - We had a great stay at Casamatta. The room was enormous, almost a suite. The bed was comfy (we actually had two) and the bathroom was great, excellent shower etc. Breakfast was very tasty and healthy. My husband would have liked a savoury option but we were overall happy. The decor is lovely. Location was ideal, very near Spaccanapoli and the cathedral. Our host Massimiliano gave loads of really good recommendations in a pack and in person which enhanced our experience of Naples. Very quiet despite the bustle of the area. We would definitely stay again. Very small points are that it was a little hard to find even though the instructions were fairly comprehensive. Perhaps some more signage? A room safe would have been helpful but it felt like a very secure place.

• Fourie (10/5): BB Casamatta is a stylish, peaceful oasis with wonderful courtyard breakfasts, hosted by the warm and attentive Massimil - BB Casamatta is perfectly located in the middle of Naples’ most vibrant and authentic neighborhood. The streets buzz with energy — live music, incredible street food, fantastic coffee bars, cool watering holes, colorful graffiti, and what we believe are the best pizzerias in the city. At first glance the area feels a little rough around the edges, but it quickly wins you over with its raw charm and contagious liveliness. Once you step inside the rustic building, everything changes. Host Massimiliano has created beautifully designed rooms that feel like stylish boutique accommodations. His impeccable attention to detail and artistic eye turn every space into a five-star experience. We arrived expecting noise from the lively streets below, but the thick old walls and excellent modern windows kept the energy outside. We enjoyed a peaceful, quiet night’s sleep right in the pulsing heart of Naples. The breakfast served by Massimiliano and his team was the perfect finale. Fresh coffee, homemade cakes, granola with fruit, warm cornetti filled with chocolate, and pineapple juice — all enjoyed in a charming little courtyard. It was pure magic and the ideal way to end a wonderful one-night stay. We’d happily return and highly recommend it! The area is a bit scruffy, especially for a first time visitor of the city. The walk from the central train station with luggage on cobblestone streets is a bit of a mission. But my recommendation is to fully embrace it and enjoy it as part of the experience. Once you get to BB Casamatta, the “journey” is worth the effort. Settle in, have a laugh and head back into the neighborhood. The only thing that Naples will steal, is your heart.

Bester Gastgeber mitten in Neapel zu einem absolut fairen Preis. - Sehr edel und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit höchstem Komfort, in unmittelbarer Nähe der Altstadt, des Dom und der berühmten historischen Gassen in Neapel. Massimiliano persönlich empfängt uns zum selbst gemachten Frühstück mit Cappuccino. Apfelkuchen und frischem Früchtejoghurt in einem stylischen, alten Frühstücksraum, mit einer zwischen den alten Häusern liegenden Terrasse. Die Zimmer sind extrem sauber und schick eingerichtet. An den Wänden hängen Kunstwerke. Am meisten haben uns die Fotografien von Massimiliano gefallen. Massimiliano ließ keine Wünsche offen.

• Zorka (10/5): - The location truly couldn’t be better – right in the heart of Naples’ historic centre, just steps from Duomo and Spaccanapoli, with everything you could possibly need within a 2–3 minute walk. Restaurants, cafés, and all the main sights are literally at your doorstep. Despite being so central, the room is incredibly quiet and peaceful, which makes it perfect for relaxing after a day in the busy city – a rare and valuable combination. The place is spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. Massimiliano is an excellent host – friendly, helpful, and always available if needed, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommended – I would definitely stay here again!
• Patrice (7/5): Très bon séjour - La chance d'être dans un quartier populaire très animé et d'avoir une chambre très au calme. Échanges très faciles et très agréables avec Massimiliano. Son accès n'est pas évident car pas d'indication (nom de l'établissement) à l'extérieur (rue).
• Jane (10/5): Clean, good location and friendly staff - Located within walking distance to the train station or can take the Line 1 metro and walk about 5 minutes to hotel. Description to get to and enter the hotel was very clear and easy to follow. Upon entry the room was clean and had a view over the street below. Breakfast was across the hallway where each guest was greeted with a smile and warm welcome Nothing not to like about the property

• Paula (9/5): Very pleasant and accommodation lived up to expectations. Great location. - The host was extremely accommodating and punctual in responding to questions. Check-in was straightforward. The accommodation was very secure and quiet inside despite being in a busy area. A few more options for breakfast would have been welcome.

• Tine (10/5): Voortreffelijk, een echte aanrader. Ik zou zeker terug gaan bij een volgend bezoek aan Napels. - De B&B is ideaal gelegen voor het bezoeken van Napels. Kamer was zeer mooi en had een goed bed. Badkamer was compact maar zeer mooi. Het ontbijt was zeer goed naar Italiaanse normen. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Lekkere koffie van een koffiemachine bij het ontbijt had het compleet gemaakt.
• Eva (9/5): - Das Design der Unterkunft war top. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer. Der Kontakt mit Ida war unkompliziert, sehr nett und schnell. Wir durften schon eher einschecken weil es passte. Die MA Vorort waren alles sehr zuvorkommend. Dritte Etage muss man einplanen, typisches italienisches süßes Frühstück.

The location is perfect — very central and convenient for exploring everything on foot, yet still quiet and comfortable. The place was spotless: everything was sparkling clean, beautifully maintained, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and Ida was especially outstanding. She went above and beyond to help us with an issue we had with our booking, and her support made a huge difference. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out. Highly recommended — we would gladly stay here again!

În primul rând faptul că a trebuit să urcăm 3 etaje cu bagajele ,fiindcă clădirea veche în ruină aproape nu are lift .Camera era de tip industrial ,cu culori oribile ,chiuveta în camera !!!Geamul se deschidea care un perete dezolant .
• Felicitas (9/5): Super Ort um Neapel zu erkunden! - Die Lage ist super! Sofort im Zentrum, schönes Zimmer, super Kaffee im Zimmer. Mich hat es nicht gestört, aber, wer den Tag früh anfängt, verpasst das Frühstück, dass ab 8.30 anfängt.

• Visconti (8/5): The bed was not as comfortable and quiet as we would have hoped. - It was spacious for the money and the breakfast and staff were awesome. The shower grout was not fully cleaned. The bed squeaked every time we moved.
• Maria (10/5): - Muy bien ubicado, muy limpio, buenas instalaciones. Las camas muy cómodas, y a pesar de estar muy céntrico era silencioso y se dormía muy bien. Los espacios bien decorados, y tiene una terraza muy agradable donde tomar el desayuno si hace buen tiempo. Los anfitriones son amables, atentos, y dan muy buenos consejos y recomendaciones para la ciudad o las visitas de los alrededores. Repetiríamos seguro y lo recomendamos sin duda Lo único que se podría mejorar es el desayuno. El que ofrecen es bueno (bizcocho, croissant y yogur con granola y frutas), pero faltan opciones saladas, como podrían ser unas tostadas.
• Lina (9/5): Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern und gleichzeitig liebevoll eingerichtet. Check In und Check - Die Lage ist unschlagbar gut, sehr zentral und trotzdem sehr ruhig.
• Angela (10/5): Perfect - Perfect location in the historic centre. Walking distance to train station. Clear and detailed instructions on how to access the building and self check in. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe. Very clean and comfortable room, very quiet, could not hear any street noise at all considering it is right in the heart of the bustling Spaccanapoli area. Coffee pod machine was a bonus. I would highly recommend BB Casamatta and would not hesitate to stay again.
• Kathleen (10/5): Peace and tranquility in Naples - The center of Naples is very noisy and chaotic but BB Cassmatta is an oasis of quiet and peace. That is not easy to achieve in the historic center. The stairs were not something we looked forward to at the end of a day touring. There is no elevator in this building.

L’aménagement plein de charme de la chambre et de la salle du petit déjeuner. La grande gentillesse de l’hôte et du personnel qui sont très disponibles pour les demandes (dépot des baggages ou réservation d’un taxi).

• Nora Caroline (8/5): Great hotel to explore Napoli - We liked the location of this property as well as the room itself. I would definetly recommend it! The host was very helpful with anything we needed. We appreciated the possibility to have had an early breakfast when we checked out early!
