Both rooms we were given (we asked to change rooms for our second night) had elements we didn’t want/expect. Small private gyms in junior suites are a waste of space for our needs. Would’ve preferred the room we booked. The leaves in the bathroom sinks added to the unnecessary extras that didn’t add anything to the experience of staying in this hotel.

- Maria (8/5): Convenience with outdated look - Amazing location next to Duomo and shopping center. Also the bed was comfortable. I found the breakfast area to be somewhat dimly lit, featuring unusual green lights, and I felt that the overall interior design could use some updates to improve the ambiance. Additionally, I noticed that the room did not come with proper plates for the cups, only paper plates, and there were no spoons or milk available for the coffee, despite the presence of a coffee machine. Given the room's rate of 600 euros per night, I believe that some enhancements to both the design and amenities would greatly enhance the overall experience.
- Sanath (2/5): Lack of empathy from staff - I had a deeply disappointing experience with Sina The Gray in Milan. I had accidentally made two bookings for the same dates—one at Sina The Gray and another at Sina De La Ville, which is located right next door—due to the hotels being part of the same group and having very similar names. This was my first visit to Milan, and I mistakenly thought I was booking the same hotel twice. Once I realized the error (after checking into Sina De La Ville), I immediately informed the staff and contacted Hotels.com to try to resolve the issue. Despite the bookings being with the same hotel group and the mistake being obvious, Sina The Gray refused to offer even a partial refund. I was charged for the full three-night stay despite not using the room at all. I made multiple efforts to speak with the manager at Sina The Gray in person, but she was unavailable each time. I was first told that managers do not work on weekends and to return on Monday after the weekend, and then again asked to come later on Monday afternoon—at which point I had to leave Milan. At no point was a manager available to speak with me directly during my stay, and no other staff member was willing to help or escalate the issue. While I understand that the mistake was mine, I expected a basic level of empathy and customer service—especially from a hotel of this category. Instead, I was met with rigid policies and indifference. Due to this experience, I will not be staying at any Sina Hotels in the future.

- jessr1983 (8/5): Tiny room but great location - The location of the hotel is really amazing. It's around the corner from the Duomo and shopping. However, make sure you really check the size of the room you're booking. It's the tiniest room I've ever stayed in, with only about 1.5 feet around the edge of the bed and that's it (there wasn't really even room for me to unzip my suitcase without it blocking access to the bed). I also had a few awkward surprises with my bill. I was told at check-in that I had access to the breakfast in the morning...but at check-out, they tried to charge me 28 euro for it. They did remove the fee after I explained I was told it was free, but it took a few minutes of awkward discussion. The other thing I wish they had made me aware of was a 5% "discretionary" charge added to the bill to tip the staff. Given the cost of the room, this was not a small fee, and I had not even stayed for 24 hours (there was no room cleaning, and I barely interacted with the staff). When I expressed concern, I was made to feel pretty guilty about not wanting to pay and wound up agreeing to it. Given the amount, this really should be mentioned up front at check in, especially since most hotels do not charge this. Overall, I'd still consider staying here again. Aside from checkout, everyone at the hotel was very kind and helpful. Just make sure you check the room dimensions and understand the hidden fees so you aren't surprised.

- lenalD6628ZF (2/5): Utterly Disgraceful and Unsafe Experience at Sina Gray Milan - Dear Sina Gray Milan Management, I am writing to express my absolute dismay and outrage over the appalling experience I endured during my recent stay at your hotel. It was not just unpleasant but outright stressful and frightening. On 12th Nov 2024 the hotel experienced a complete blackout from approximately 10 PM to midnight. This situation was managed with a shocking lack of professionalism, care, or basic concern for guest safety. At no point did any staff inform or assist guests, leaving everyone in a precarious and dangerous situation. With no electricity, essential services like the lift were non-functional, and access to rooms—which relies on an electric code—was impossible. I had no choice but to navigate the dark back staircases to reach the front desk multiple times to seek help. To my utter disbelief, the staff were unresponsive, dismissive, and unwilling to engage in any meaningful conversation. Despite my repeated pleas for updates or solutions, they showed zero concern for the distressing conditions their guests were facing. As the blackout persisted, another guest, who fortunately spoke Italian, attempted to check in and insisted on speaking with the manager. Even then, the staff displayed an alarming lack of care or urgency. This experience was not just unacceptable; it was deeply unsettling. A hotel of your reputed standing has a duty of care toward its guests, and you failed in every possible way. The lack of communication, assistance, and basic safety protocols during an emergency situation is inexcusable. Rest assured, I will be sharing this experience widely if immediate and satisfactory action is not taken.

We were apprehensive when we booked this hotel because we normally do not stay in Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) we are used to the big hotels however we were amazed by the hospitality of the staff, from the lady who checked us in to the bell man. Not only that, the room is well appointed and it’s also very clean. They also had a turn down service. In addition, the hotel is literally at the back of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping arcade. If you love shopping like me then this is your best option. It’s also near the Duomo Milano. We will be back in Milan in a few months and will definitely stay here again. Being in the middle of Milan with great amenities! You cannot beat that.

I blocked a suite with a view of the gallery, when I arrived, I found out at the reception that this room was not available. The administrator said that it was a mistake on booking (do you believe it?) and offered a room - 4 walls and a bed. I booked a suite. How do you like the alternative? They did not help in any way, they just said the standard phrase: "sorry".

- Christy (3/5): Poor - Having stayed in hotels all over Europe, The Gray is completely mis-priced. The decor is tired and outdated, the room I stayed in was extremely small with virtually nowhere to put clothes. The bed faced into the room which felty claustrophobic and the curtains hid a brick wall. Plastic bottles in the room for water were no replenished and there were no glasses.The fact that this tiny room cost Euros600 felt like a total rip off. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. The decor, the rooms and the price.

- Shoeleh (10/5): Great location, tiny rooms - The first room was too small I asked to move into a larger room which was promised and then we were moved to a junior suit which was at two level story bed room and bath was upstairs and the sofa which would get into a bed was downstairs BUT there was no bathroom or even a mirror downstairs all closets for clothes were downstairs as well Not a good plan for three older ladies BUT location was great , staff were real friendly They knew from beginnings that we were three people and we paid a huge payment for the room I booked

Not only reception everyone workong in the hotel is helpful cherrful and love it. I will come and stay again. Location and people is the best in this hotel. Hughky recommend everyone

The room was upgraded free and was so very nice and comfortable. The location is central to the city center to walking was so easy! Would definitely go back!

- Y8289NUdenises (2/5): Rogues and overpriced - They are the biggest rogues going. We booked at one price then increased when we came to check out. One of our friends had a better room. Got $100 each night but wouldn’tt offer the same. My other friends were upgraded ( which they hadn’t requested ). On check out were charged Their breakfast is beyond awful. Only good thing is the location. !!!!!
- markznyc (10/5): A Gem in Milano - What a treasure! So close to everything -- shopping, the Duomo, Galleria, etc. yet peaceful and quiet oasis. The staff was attentive, friendly and went out of their way to help. Even arriving early, with a worn out bunch of kids, they worked hard to get us into our room as soon as possible - not an easy feat during the busiest season of the year, We stayed in the large "family suite" which consisted of several interconnected rooms that could be joined providing a ton of space for our group of 5. The room was clean, modern, with great AC and nice views of the streetscape. The breakfast each day was solid (just what you need to fuel up, but not over the top) and the outdoor cocktail lounge was a great place to unwind at the end of the day and escape the crowds (while enjoying some serious apertivos). Not sure how anyone could hate on this hotel - it is truly a gem - intimate, yet not pretentious, elegant, but not obnoxious, universal yet still "Milanese". If you are a fan of "bigger is better" chain hotels, this is not for you. Highly recommend for everyone else.

- covert_db (10/5): Best hotel ever - Couldn't be more centrally located, my view out the window was of the Galleria. On top of that, the room itself was awesome, boasting 2 desks, a gigantic bathtub, button-controled curtains in the closet. A couple of quirky features: plant leaves in the sink and toothbrush cups with a hole in the bottom. Importantly, very good value for the money.
- ingawsf (2/5): Lipstick on a pig - The worst hotel! The bed was extremely uncomfortable, you could see the mattress caving, the AC did not work, and the Wi-Fi did not work. Pealing paint in the room. While they provide breakfast, there is no restaurant so not sure how they do it. We didn't stay the night as we couldn't sleep and they didn't do anything about the bed or AC. They charged us for the night and now we are escalating it with Hyatt. The manager never responded to anything. This could be a nice boutique hotel, it needs an overhaul and management that cares about customers.

- sailorgh (10/5): Great place to stay in the very center of Milano - Our two-day visit to Milano with friends was highlighted by the clean and modern room where everything worked: very good beds, shower, space for suitcases, coats, vlimate control, good sound-proofed windows,... We were attended by attentive and friendly staff at the reception as well as at breakfast, where the buffet supplied everything we liked: Swiss müesli, croissants, eggs, fruits, ... The hotel is only a couple of minutes walking distance from the opera Scala, the duomo, the metro station, some good restaurants, .... We also were happy to use their nice umbrellas. All in all everything was so satisfactory, that we did not mind, that the toilet paper roll needs two hands to use, as it is on the shelve and not attached to the wall. :-)
- momwith4 (10/5): A true gem in Milan - reasonably priced and great service! - What a find! Great location - walking distance to everything and a metro station a few minutes away. The staff was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable - ask them for advice on restaurants, shopping, anything - they are so helpful. Though there are many great restaurants in Milan, the lunch we had in their small upstairs restaurant was fantastic. The two rooms we had were beautiful - but the corner room was over the top. Ask for one of those - it's worth it!

- Navigator218215 (8/5): Beautiful hotel in the best location! - Beautiful hotel in the best location! The location cannot be beat. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The only negative was the restaurant situation. It is one small dark room - the same room used for breakfast and dinner. Carpet needs updating. The restaurant bathroom (also used for the lobby bathroom) is comparable to an airplane lavatory. Prior to arrival, we made a reservation for dinner on the terrace, however the terrace wasn't open.

There were small damages everywhere, which seemed to be either not fixed or very poorly repaired. It doesn't seem to be really up to date anymore.

- Barbara532NewYork (10/5): Intimate and luxurious - A chic centrally located luxurious boutique hotel with stylish decor, an intimate feel, and super comfortable beds and linen . Daniele the concierge was a life-saver, especially in helping us get in to see The Last Supper. We were traveling with our adult daughters, one of whom had her dog, and Daniele made our stay warm, convenient, and just wonderful. My husband and I had a spacious and luxurious room with views directly on to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, and each of our daughters had charming rooms. A stone's throw from the Duomo, the hotel is easy to walk from to nearly all the sites and restaurants we wanted to go to. Highly recommend!
