- loweny (10/5): TET 2026 - Returned Vn to experience TET , year of the Horse. we stayed at the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel as usual. We booked a Suite in the newly renovated Grand Opera Tower. The room was fantastic the room was modern clean spacious and with a great view . The hotel is located right in district one steps from the Opera House, Saigon Centre and Nguyen Hue. This makes it super easy to experience Ho Chi Minh City during Tet. But again what made our stay memorable was the hotels top-notch staff. From Mr Anh Le, Thanh Lam, Hao Dong, Khanh Pham and other bell staff to Saigon Cafe Manager Loi Pham, Manager , Dinh, Giao, Khanh, Jerry & to other staff members to the Asst Club Mgr Thu Phung & staff members at the Lounge. Everyone was willing to assist us in every way possible . They remembered our favorite table , how we like our coffee and Fresh coconut made every morning. Amenities like the pool and Gym are also top notch.

Saigon is always ăn exciting destination in our company's itinerary, and Sheraton is a great choice that we have bên lotal to for a long time. The hotel has just undergone a major renovation, the rooms are really fresh and modern. In addition, the food at the restaurant is of good quality and fully met the strict requirements of our multinational guests (American, Australian, Canadian...). Modern equipment and advanced facilities help guest's experience meet expectations. In addition, the staff are very enthusiastic and friendly, always providing through support and handling customer issues quickly and skillfully during their stay. Special thanks to Mr. Hau Le, a professional Concierge who always handles my issues and my guest's issues sensitively, quickly and effectively and his team: Mr. Trieu Trần, Mr. Toan Concierge. - GlobeTrotting821779 (10/5): Best food type of executive lounge in Saigon - As a Marriott Platinum member, I had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel. Despite its age, the hotel is very well maintained, and the service from the staff is exceptional. I especially enjoyed the service in the executive lounge, where the seating is incredibly comfortable. The highlight for me was the abundant food offerings, specially in happy hour, mostly like dinner buffet. Even when the afternoon tea time, they have provide scone. It is very tasty! Specially I want to thanks for Mr. Huy Huynh, he always remember me and always ask what he can help me. His smile is unforgettable and friendly. - yuval_cpa (10/5): Convenient and cozy hotel in a central location of the city - Very comfortable room - the room faced the pool and was extremely quiet, even though the hotel is on a main street, very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast! However, there were renovations on the upper floors of the hotel, and if we had to be in the room - it would have been an unpleasant inconvenience. At the very least, this information should have been given before booking the room - it would have been less pleasant to encounter this fact during the stay itself. The city is more expensive than the rest of Vietnam, but it is one of a kind! Don't miss it!

I loved the location of the Sheraton -- everything I wanted to do was an easy 10 minute walk! The staff was attentive and very proactive in meeting my needs. My room was a king deluxe with a view of the city -- it was spacious and nicely appointed. The newly renovated pool area was a nice touch. The only thing lacking was a rooftop bar/restaurant which is coming soon!

In recognition of our Bonvoy Titanium and Lifetime Platinum status, our room was upgraded to a suite. The hotel is exceptionally well-managed, highlighted by the General Manager, Mr. Julian Wong, and the F&B Manager, Mr. Stephen Wright, walking the floor in the mornings to ensure everything was in perfect order. We thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional service provided by their outstanding staff. They paid incredible attention to detail; for example, they remembered our favorite coffees and fruits at breakfast and brought them to us before we even had to ask. The entire team is well-trained and very friendly, and the food served during breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour was excellent and of top-notch quality. We paid extra for the lounge access which included afternoon tea and dinner everyday, and was great value. Breakfast was amazing, best I have ever had. Very conveniently located and we organized a car to and from the airport, which also worked out well. We had a street side room so a bit noisy at night, but usually quieted down around 10pm. Some building noise but nothing disturbing. Lovely staff.

The site was very well-appointed and quite spacious, with a separate living area, small dining table and mini-bar setup. Having a Nespresso machine on hand was terrific. The bedroom was also quite huge as was the master bathroom, plus there was an additional toilet near the door and living area. The suite gave us access to the lounge, which was quite a pleasant experience. They serve a full breakfast there, plus afternoon and evening "snacks" - we have to admit, it was a LOT more than snacks, and felt like full meals all the time. This was a great spot to head to for a quick drink and a bite. The hotel staff were absolutely phenomenal, so pleasant and polite, always smiling and ready to assist with just about any request. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Opera House, is walking distance to a shopping mall and other nearby attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff's hospitality!

The experience overall was fantastic because of the staff.

Days before arriving, I switched to the Sheraton as we had limited time here and wanted to be in District One and close to the Opera House. What a great decision! Upon checking in, I was at first skeptical when the lovely Trang suggested we upgrade our booking (made with points) to a suite for additional $. I really wanted to stay in the Pearl tower , so we agreed. Trang was instrumental in making our short stay so special. Our suite on a the 25th floor was fantastic. Our view of the river and skyline was just beautiful and the suite was updated and so lovely. Trang strongly recommended that we visit The Salon ( club lounge for Bonvoy members in the Pearl Tower). Oh my goodness! While we spend at least 60 nights a Year in Marriott properties, we have NEVER been tempted to eat a meal in one of their lounges before! The first afternoon we went for a cup of coffee and were warmly greeted by Miss Lynh. And then the sweet Miss Kim started serving us and when we asked for dinner recommendations she said to return to the club. She then went on to explain what would be offered. We agreed to go for a glass of wine but assumed we would rush out and find a restaurant! What an incredible surprise! The food was absolutely delicious and presented so beautifully. Miss Kim was the most gracious hostess we could ask for. We returned the second night after touring all day. Once again, Miss Lynh immediately recognized us and welcomed us. Miss Kim was as hospitable as the previous night. We are so thrilled that I changed our reservation to the Sheraton and are especially appreciative to Miss Trang at reception for encouraging us to pay for this upgrade. These lovely ladies all made our short stay at the Sheraton Saigon so special.

This year I booked the New Year s eve seafood buffet and was amazed at the first class presentation and best tasting food I have ever enjoyed. The staff throughout our 2 week stay was absolutely phenomenal. I want to take the time to say Thank you to a few staff members. Hau bell concierge was always there to answer our questions on best places to eat, have coffee or always available to answer any questions. Once again, Thank you Hau. I also would like to thank Tai he was amazing waiter at the buffet and was assigned to our table for New Years buffet. Thank you Sam for taking care of our table and always having a smile. Absolutely the best ! We will be back soon and can't wait to see all of the staff agin.
- familyman319 (10/5): Started bad but then became exceptional - I am a regular traveller to HCMC approximately 3 times a year for the last 8 years for work. Previously stayed at the Sofitel for those years but due to a bad handle handled issue needed to find an alternative hotel so picked the Sheraton being a Bonvoy elite member. First day/night was not good actually really bad however upon raising my complaint the Club Services Manager rectified everything efficiently and turned a bad impression into an amazing stay. It could have been due to her making sure that I was looked after however do not believe that was the case. Then to make matters even better I met Hoa Dong, the Saigon all knowing guest relations expert that I never knew I needed but is part of the concierge team. Hoa is insightful, professional and incredibly friendly. Sheraton defines found a winner with him and I look forward to getting his advise on food and drink spots on my regular visits. Thank you Hoa and Sheraton. I have found my new Saigon hotel.

I was truly impressed by the wide variety of dishes offered — there was something for everyone, especially for seafood lovers. I must give a special shout-out to the desserts corner. The desserts were beautifully presented and absolutely delightful — every bite was a treat! A big thank you as well for the thoughtful special arrangement of the birthday cake. It was such a lovely surprise, and the cake was delicious. Truly appreciated the effort and attention to detail in making the celebration memorable. Highly recommended! 🍰

From the very beginning, I was impressed by how friendly, warm, and supportive the hotel staff were. The Fitness team was incredibly attentive, guiding us through warm-up exercises, explaining the rules clearly, and ensuring safety and proper techniques throughout the activity. One of the highlights of my stay was participating in the water basketball activity. It was not only fun and energetic but also a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The team here is truly enthusiastic, professional, and full of positive energy, which made the entire experience even more special. For example, I saw a beautiful top while touring at Cu Chi tunnels gift shop and did not purchase. I mistakenly thought I could buy nearby the hotel as there is a lot of shopping. However, I was so disappointed to discover the top I wanted was a one of a kind piece. I was thinking about it and regretting my decision to not buy it. I asked the concierge if they could assist and they had someone from the hotel go and get it for me. The Cu Chi tunnels are almost 2 hours away with traffic. I am so grateful for Toan Nguyen for making my dreams come true.
- UnclePanda (10/5): Best 5 star hotel in Saigon! - This was my first time staying at Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera House, and without a doubt it is one of the best 5-star hotel choices in Ho Chi Minh City. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Diem Duong at the Front Office, who did an exceptional job with the check-in and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. The breakfast is fantastic , easily one of the best in HCMC. The variety is impressive and the taste is absolutely on point. The restaurant manager (a lady, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) was also very attentive and professional. The Club Lounge experience was excellent, with food that was of high quality, well presented, and consistently delicious. Special thanks to Hao from the Club Lounge, who went out of his way to help me try and secure dinner reservations at an external restaurant — truly outstanding service. Manager Thu Phuong was also very attentive and polite throughout my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, with crisp linen and a great setup for rest after a long day in the city. The gym facilities are well equipped and modern, making it easy to keep up with workouts while travelling. Heated pool was a trill Special mention as well to Alvin Kim, Director of Rooms, who was professional, friendly and clearly passionate about guest experience. Kudos to General Manager Julian Wong for leading such a marvellous property. The team clearly reflects strong leadership and a genuine commitment to hospitality excellence. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.

The location was unbeatable — right in the heart of District 1, just steps from Nguyen Hue Boulevard, the Opera House metro station, and so many restaurants and attractions, which made exploring the city incredibly easy. Our room was comfortable, with a cozy bed with adequate amenities. I had a busy business schedule so I ate in the hotel (the lounge for a lunch), free breakfast in the Sheraton Club (I am a Bonvoy titanium member), but actually the room service congee breakfast set was so good, I ordered it for 2 days straight. Rooms were clean and well-stocked (lots of water, nespresso). Location was easy walk to markets, good food & cocktail options. Hotel had happy hour in the salon. also nice pool, good gym!

We have stayed in many hotels while traveling in VietNam and we feel that Saigon Sheraton is the one of the best ones. Its location, accomodation, cleaniness, service are considered at the top ends. And the main reason for such an excellent review is due to the staff, from the front desk, housekeeping, restaurants, lounge, exercise facity and luggage department, all the people we met are so helpful, pleasant and courteous. I want to name few of the staff members that provide above and beyond service. In the front desk, Vivian is so helpul and pleasant to work with. In housekeeping, Nhan Chung provides excellent service. He goes out of his way to make sure our room is always clean and comfortable. Pham Pham and Anh Minh working in the lounge are so helpful. They make sure that our orders meet our expectations. Le Tan Cuong and Toan Nguyen in the luggage department are so helpful. In my travel experience. I have not seen such a consistent good customer service like Saigon Sheraton. Keep up the good work!!

Sometimes, I did wish that the tub could be nicer, the decor more modern. Looks like my wish came true with the opening of their refreshed Grand Opera Tower. Boy, was I blown away. This transformative refresh has made them 6stars for sure. Great intuitive design upgrades gives modernity, whilst not forgetting the little touches like a good quality hairdryer, a habdheld clothes steamer, a vanity mirror with different light settings, local snacks in delicate pots; things that give just that added sparkle. The Salon lounge on the 5th floor is also segregated from the other wing and has lovely wines and the most pleasant service. I love this hotel now, and will always choose this over others in Ho Chi Minh. Great job to the leadership team.

We visit Vietnam every year and regularly stay at five-star hotels, but Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel has truly stood out — particularly the Opera Club Lounge, which is the best we’ve experienced so far in Ho Chi Minh City. This will absolutely be our new go-to hotel. The service is exceptional. There is genuinely nothing the team cannot do for you. This is true international five-star service, which can be hard to find, and Sheraton Opera delivers it effortlessly. We had just stayed at another five-star Marriott property and, honestly, it didn’t come close to the experience here. The rooms are beautifully refurbished, spacious, and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend booking Opera Club Lounge access — the food selection is different from the main buffet and standard lounge offerings, and the quality is outstanding. The dumplings are next level, and today’s bánh canh was absolutely top-notch. We found ourselves not needing to venture far at all for great food. The pastries are also amazing. What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. The lounge team remembers your name, and over our three-day stay we were greeted by the same warm, gracious faces each day, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city.The only very minor thing we could fault is the absence of body lotion in the room — otherwise, everything was perfect.

Pool staff were very friendly to our kids by offering ring buoys and beach balls and this was all about to kids who were thrilled and played time to time. Last but not the leaset, aqua volleyball was an event they couldn't miss out. We appreciated to such an idea of organizing a family gathering. It is value to the brand. The check-in counter was crowded, but the waiting time was okay and the staff worked very efficiently. Mr. Khon at the concierge gave us many recommendations and made effort to find a nice dinner option for us despite most restaurants being fully booked. Breakfast was nice with a wide variety of options, and the room was clean and comfortable.

We especially enjoyed the beautiful lounge on the 5th floor — a perfect place to relax with calm atmosphere. What stood out the most was the exceptional staff. There was a small issue with room cleanliness, as we noticed a few stains on the wall that looked like red wine. However, this did not significantly affect our overall experience. Room on 17th floor and facing Nguyen Hue side. Asked for a quieter room and told no other available (really?) except on smoking floor. Booked via Expedia and not direct so wonder if I would have got a better room if I was a Marriott member. Wasn’t expecting construction noise at 10pm!! Also noise from Nguyen Hue. Convenient location but SO noisy. Room literally vibrating which is quite an effort on the 17th floor. Also food in the lobby cafe same prices as in USA/Europe when equivalent outside a fraction of the price.

From check-in to departure, the team demonstrated outstanding professionalism, warmth, and genuine appreciation for elite members. Elite recognition here was excellent — smooth check-in, thoughtful service, and staff who clearly understand what high-tier guests expect. I felt welcomed, respected, and extremely comfortable throughout my stay, which is not something I say lightly. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, making everything easily accessible. The room was clean, fresh, and very comfortable, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. I transferred here after an extremely disappointing stay at Landmark 81 Autograph Collection, and the difference was immediate and dramatic. Sheraton Saigon delivered the level of quality, comfort, and service that Marriott’s top-tier members expect. This property sets the standard for how Ambassador Elite guests should be treated. I highly recommend Sheraton Saigon and will absolutely return on future visits.
- 210701114 (8/5): Pleasant, Well Located Hotel - Well located hotel, between 5-20 minute walk to most tourist spots. Excellent gym and pool, which never seemed crowded during our stay. Very good executive lounge next to the pool, offering a wide choice for dinner during the 6-8pm happy hour, plus a good quality breakfast. The main restaurant has a bigger breakfast choice but it’s horribly cramped, so best avoided. Overall very good service from obviously well-trained staff. A few further negatives though: Window sound insulation is very poor so we were woken at 7am over weekends by sound-checks for the daily events in the many nearby squares, some of which carried on until 1am. And weekdays we had hammering from 8am. Even though the standard rooms are quite spacious the bathrooms are small, making the shower and bathtub rather cramped for western sized people. Oh - and the lifts are very slow, although they do automatically apologise each time for keeping you waiting. Overall though, we would be happy to stay here again.

The service, attentiveness, and friendliness of all the staff members was truly 5 stars. We celebrated an anniversary during this trip and were welcomed to the room (upgraded studio with 2 queen beds) with 2 elegant towel swans, rose pedals, a bowl of tropical fruit (dragonfruit, mini bananas, longan, and tangerines) and 4 large macarons. The Club Lounge offered daily breakfast (6-10:30am on weekends), afternoon tea (2:30-4:30pm) and happy hour (6:00-8:00pm) that combined a mix of local favorites along with western dishes. Our favorites includes the fresh fruit, made to order noodle soups, various dumplings, steamed egg and crab bowls, local desserts, and all you can drink fresh watermelon juice ana Vietnamese coffee with generous portions of condensed milk on the side The large outdoor salt water pool and fitness center had recently been renovated and were too notch in terms of cleanliness. The fitness staff were friendly and helpful, and our family enjoyed the core training class offered on Saturday morning (drills on yoga mats outside by the pool followed by fun games to work the core muscle groups). The hotel is centrally located within short walking distance to local shops, markets, restaurants (although we ate all of our meals at the hotel lounge) and plazas with plenty of activities. The Grab app was easy to use to get transportation around the city and to/from the airport. We highly recommend the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera hotel without any hesitation!

- 350leslief (10/5): Gorgeous hotel in a dynamic city! - My husband and I stayed here as a prelude to our Viking trip up the Mekong Delta. We had a very large king room with a fabulous rain shower rain shower and great views of the Saigon River snaking through the downtown area. The location is wonderful; only a short walk to the beautiful Opera House. The breakfast buffets were delicious, as was our dinner. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A first-rate experience all around. Highly recommended.

One muscle guy gym staff greeted me at door and invited me to join his leading sport event. I had no idea what it was, yet a bit surprise arose as seeing a group of ladies gathered there under warming up mode. Ok I got in and no later than 45 minutes of being acted with non-stop moments of punching, kicking, jumping, I swore I might burn layers of fat. Moreover, my kids watched their mom firstly giving punches and kicks in a real exercise class. They were so exciting as seeing me via video call. Wonderful fitness team with thanks for a great day.

The Club lounge in the tower was great for both breakfast & happy hour. Even though breakfast was included in our rate, in the main dining area, we never bothered to use it. The staff in the hotel, & in particular the tower, are incredibly attentive. The room was modern, large, comfortable & very clean. However, the only reason I have not given the hotel a 5-star rating, is because of the noise level, esp. in the middle of the night. Even though we were on the 23rd floor, we were regularly disturbed from the sound of a construction site about a block & a half away. In particular, hammering on metal components. Plus at around 5am, the prayers/wailing from the mosque next to the hotel was clearly audible. Clearly the windows in the room(s) are not very good re sound-proofing. The location of the hotel is really good, and a lot of the main things to see in Saigon are reachable by walking.

- Freedom08822082307 (10/5): One of the better experiences in a 5 star hotel - From room, bed, quietness at night, front desk service, restaurant service (including Li Bai - but it's not cheap), housekeeping, I must say that the service was superb and can see that most, if not all staff, are eager to please and provide their best service. Pool was a little aged but good enough for a swim. If i have to find something as an area for improvement, it would be the breakfast restaurant, where i started to see crowds coming for breakfast (seems like tour groups of Koreans and Indians), which makes breakfast time a slightly stressful event (long queues) and at times service staff were observed to be unable to cope with the crowd. For someone on business, who may want to have a good but quick breakfast, it may pose a challenge when the crowd comes in.

Rooms were cleaned on time everyday. The only feedback is if they could put an extra roll of toilet paper and tissue paper in the bedroom area (there’s one in the toilet tho), but it’s not a big deal. Breakfast provided in the hotel was great! Conveniently located. Pillows were really flat but I still managed to sleep well (too tired from the walking)!

The hotel staff are attentive and pay attention to details. I have been visiting the executive lounges in various Marriott properties around the world, I find the executive lounge in this Sheraton is one of the best. The staff are amazing. Ms. Thu Phung in the club lounge is particularly helpful and attentive. She always wears a smile and makes us feel welcomed. When my stomach didn't feel well due to the long flight from Chicago this month, she personally made a cup of hot ginger tea that really helped my upset stomach. She goes above and beyond to take care of us. We really appreciate her kindness. This is the main reason that we always return to this hotel when we visit Ho Chi Minh for work or for vacation.

Today's exercise was Aqua Core focusing on the abdominals and underwater exercises. The instructor was extremely enthusiastic and the group members were very friendly. Today was a rare sunny day in Saigon during the rainy season, and the swimming pool was sparkling clean in the sun. Kudos to Sheraton;s Fitness & Pool team, they organized a fun and energetic Gathering day.

When i went to check in at the front desk they said I had to check in at the lounge due to my status. But no customers were at the front desk to check in and multiple people were in the lounge checking in. After waiting the employee goes overboard thanking me for being a loyal customer Then he says the type of room i reserved he does not have but he can give me a standard room but it will be noisy as there is a concert. Then he offers me a suite for about $300 in points. I never expect to be upgraded but what i do not appreciate is wasting my time in a bait and switch effort. I am glad this was my last night in Vietnam as it would have set the tone and put me on guard for future scams. But luckily this only happened here. By the way the food in the lounge and breakfast was outstanding The room that was described as old style was fine with a modern tv. So the building and food are wonderful but management needs to learn to treat customers with dignity and respect.
