- Miyu (10/5): - This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The view was absolutely breathtaking — we could see all three pyramids directly from our bedroom balcony and the rooftop. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was very clean, modern, and comfortable. What surprised me the most was how affordable the hotel was compared to the amazing experience it offered. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Egypt.

- Joseph (8/5): First Night in Egypt - Great quiet spot for your first night in Cairo. The location is great, staff are friendly with the manager speaking very good English. Clean room with towels, fresh sheets & coffee/tea available. The views are very very good as you can see the pyramids from your bed. I wasn't able to fully lock the sliding balcony door, although it does close, the balcony is three floors up and seems quite secure.

The rooms are lovely and have everything you need. The manager and staff cannot do enough to help you. Food service is a little slow but thats just Egypt and they do have choice of their own restaurant and the restaurant of the hotel next door (with even better views). Breakfast was very nice and there are lots of shops and restaurants right outside. No lifts and the hotel is on the third floor - but perhaps understandable as the hotel is located right next to the pyramids where space is at a premium. The staff brought our bags up anyway. The location is a little noisy but worth it for the views.

- osman (9/5): Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, gastfreundlich und toller Pyramidenblick. - Wir waren für zwei Nächte hier, weil wir nah an den Pyramiden sein und eine gute Aussicht haben wollten. Wegen vieler negativer Bewertungen im Netz über Hotels in Ägypten war ich anfangs echt skeptisch. Aber für diesen günstigen Preis ist das Hotel wirklich absoluter Preis-Leistungs-Hit! Man darf keinen Luxus erwarten und die Ausstattung ist eher basic, aber das Gesamtpaket stimmt einfach. Das Highlight ist definitiv die Dachterrasse – man schaut direkt auf die Pyramiden und kann zum Haupteingang einfach rüberlaufen. Wir hatten eigentlich ein normales Zimmer ohne Balkon und ohne Aussicht gebucht, aber der Besitzer hat uns einfach so ein kostenloses Upgrade auf ein Zimmer mit Pyramidenblick und Balkon gegeben. Das Frühstück war inklusive und das Personal ist super auf unsere Extrawünsche eingegangen. Unser Rückflug ging erst spät am Abend. Wir durften unsere Koffer problemlos im Hotel lassen, weiter auf der Terrasse chillen und haben sogar noch kostenlos Tee und Kaffee angeboten bekommen. Die Leute dort sind wirklich unfassbar gastfreundlich. Wenn ich nochmal nach Gizeh komme, buche ich auf jeden Fall wieder hier. Noch ein wichtiger Tipp für die Pyramiden: Gebt euer Ticket am Eingang bloß niemandem in die Hand! Da stehen direkt Leute, die euch das Ticket quasi abnehmen und euch zu einer Kutschfahrt drängen wollen (im März 2026 wollten sie 20 Dollar pro Person dafür). Behaltet das Ticket einfach bei euch und lauft weiter. Wenn ihr später reiten wollt, könnt ihr drinnen direkt an den Pyramiden mit den Leuten verhandeln. Ein fairer Preis für ein Pferd oder Kamel liegt bei etwa 8 bis 10 Dollar. Im Bad wurden Seife und Shampoo vergessen, die Tür der Duschkabine fehlte und generell könnte das Bad ein paar kleine Verbesserungen vertragen. Bei dem günstigen Preis ist es aber völlig normal, dass die Ausstattung etwas eingeschränkt ist. Wir hatten vorsichtshalber unsere eigenen Sachen dabei, aber ich bin mir absolut sicher, wenn wir an der Rezeption gefragt hätten, hätten sie uns sofort ausgeholfen..

- Conrad (3/5): An unfortunate and unforgettable experience we do not care to repeat - 1) the rooftop lounge had an excellent view and the woman who served breakfast and worked on the rooftop was very attentive without being intrusive. 2) the beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean 3) its location was about as ideal as could be be expected (directly across from the Sphinx entrance. 4) breakfast was really good 1) the floor in our bedroom flooded and the staff member who tried to help was maybe fourteen and spilled drain cleaner on the floor which made the whole room smell like rotten eggs 2) we could hear the wind blowing through the styrofoam walls as we tried to sleep 3) the showers were bizarrely narrow with no curtain to keep water from getting all over the floor. The hot water lasted barely over five minutes 4) the building we stayed in was not the same as the one we were dropped at by Uber (with the address from booking.com) 5) the people in the room next to us were smoking which made our room reek, they were also hammering something into the walls after 10 at night 6) we left two days early and considered the non-reimbursed fees money well spent

Definitely try Pyramids restaurant just opposite if you want a good value meal. Slightly disconcerting check in process. It was sorted but as this was our first night in Egypt - it felt unsettling.

The room was great, with a balcony that has a view on the pyramids. Breakfast was very good The place was not very easy to find. There is the name of the hotel on the building but several doors. It was unclear where to go, and this neighbourhood is chaotic.

- Garen (10/5): Great family run hotel next to the pyramids - We had a rough arrival in Cairo with a 5:30am red eye arrival and our prearranged airport transfer and early morning check in not going as planned. As a seasoned traveler we know mistakes happen. As a business owner I believe a company’s response shows their true character. When we arrived at the hotel, Mamo checked us into an upgraded room so we could immediately get some sleep. He said when we wake up we can finalize everything. At 1pm we met Esraa who apologized and spent the next 2 days going well above and beyond what was necessary to make us happy guests. She helped with tourist info. She booked us an uber on her phone and walked us to the car (streets were closed for an event and some Uber drivers try to triple the initial app price on you) Esraa suggested their restaurant for dinner which had great food and an incredible rooftop view of the Pyramids. We ate there both nights and couldn’t get enough of the view. She even arranged a complimentary ride to our Cairo hotel for us. Absolutely incredible customer service! The hotel is your average/above average budget traveller room. No frills but has everything you need for comfort. It was clean and spacious with a mini fridge and small balcony facing the pyramids. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower had hot water. The water pressure was better during early evening (seemed more like a city water issue, not a hotel issue). The hotel is perfectly located right across the street from the Giza Pyramid entrance. This allowed us to quickly see the pyramids our first afternoon in Giza. This location also means there is a lot of activity right in front of the hotel. Nothing bad, just very busy streets typical of all of Giza/Cairo. The area felt very safe despite a lot of people, touts, etc. The included breakfast was served on their rooftop with pyramid views. It was plentiful with eggs, bread, cheese, potatoes, fruit, fruit juice, coffee and tea. Recommend confirming your arrangements the day before especially if you have arranged an airport pick up or are checking in outside of their normal hours.

Ovviamente la pulizia è in linea con gli standard egiziani, ma la posizione di fronte alle piramidi ripaga. Suggerisco di fornirsi di qualche opzione dolce per la colazione visto che non tutti riescono a mangiare il salato al mattino.

You can see the pyramid from the rooftop and from one of the rooms we stayed in. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Place was affordable. Communication was good through booking.com. Our room was not ready and was given a temporary one, so we had to pack again the next morning to move in the other room.

Nous y avons été transférés, c’est le même gérant. - La vue sur les pyramides et le sphinx est superbe, on peut difficilement faire mieux. -Bon restaurant à prix correct. -Bon petit déjeuner - Bonne literie. - Il y a l’entrée de Gizeh, côté Sphinx, à 3 minutes à pied. - Mauvais wifi. - Pas d’insonorisation. On entend tout et le quartier est vraiment bruyant. ( et je ne conseille pas d’y sortir la nuit, vu les cris qu’on entendait parfois !) - Une serviette pour 2 personnes…Ce n’est qu’après 3 jours et 4 demandes qu’on en a enfin obtenu d’autres !

- Salvatore (2/5): Non aprite quella porta! - La posizione. L'impegno dei ragazzi dello staff per cercare di rendere il soggiorno il migliore possibile. Tutto il resto. L'edificio in cui è ospitata la struttura è fatiscente, con muri scrostati ed umidi, scale scheggiate, mobili sberciati. La stanza non è mai stata pulita durante il soggiorno; alla doccia mancava circa metà della porta, per cui al primo uso il bagno s'è allagato. Abbiamo dovuto ripulire tutto noi usando gli asciugamani che avevamo in dotazione (anch'essi giallastri e macchiati). Quando il giorno dopo abbiamo fatto presente la cosa ci è stato detto che la stanza sarebbe stata pulita, ma non è stato fatto. La carta igienica era un dramma: nessuno la riforniva, bisognava chiederla, in alcuni casi proprio non c'era e un ragazzino ha dovuto correre a comprarla. Alla fine abbiamo fatto scorta di fazzolettini di carta. Pericolosissimo l'impianto elettrico, le scatolette delle prese non erano coperte dalle placche, in un caso addirittura la presa penzolava attaccata ai suoi cavi; diverse prese non funzionavano. Lungo le scale le scatole di derivazione erano aperte, con i cavi a vista. Non c'è una sala chiusa dove fare colazione: per lo scopo viene proposto solo il terrazzo - per carità, la vista delle piramidi è bella, ma abbiamo dovuto mangiare col piumino... La stessa qualità della colazione è (ma questo è un giudizio soggettivo) davvero scadente: qualche mandarino, una sottilissima frittatina sciapa, una pappetta che sembrava passato di lenticchie, pane gommoso... Non c'è nessun filtro all'ingresso, la porta dell'edificio è sempre aperta, chiunque potrebbe entrare; e non è stato fatto nè il check in, nessuno ha controllato i nostri documenti, nè il check out. Insomma, la valutazione di "eccezionale" è assolutamente immeritata, l'hotel non meriterebbe nemmeno una stella. Direi che la delusione è enorme.

- Ta A (1/5): Große Enttäuschung, trotz Top-Lage KEINE Empfehlung! - Die Dachterrasse und das Frühstück. Diese Bewertung zu schreiben fällt uns nicht leicht. Es waren unsere Flitterwochen, unser erstes Mal bei den Pyramiden und genau dieser Teil der Reise war der, auf den wir uns am meisten gefreut hatten. Wochenlang. Monatelang. Auch wegen der vielen sehr guten Bewertungen des Pyramid Top Inn auf Booking.com. Entsprechend groß war unsere Vorfreude, als wir am Freitagabend ankamen, voller Euphorie, voller Erwartungen, voller Glück. Leider begann genau hier eine Kette an Erlebnissen, die diese Freude Stück für Stück zerstört hat. Gegen 20:00 Uhr kamen wir an und wurden ohne jede Erklärung nicht im gebuchten Pyramid Top Inn, sondern im Pyramid Sunshine Hotel untergebracht. Keine Erklärung wieso. Grundsätzlich wären wir flexibel gewesen, hätte das Zimmer von der Ausstattung dem entsprochen, was wir gebucht hatten. Die Gelassenheit hielt genau bis zum Betreten des Zimmers. Der Schock war groß: Kein Balkon, kein Pyramidenblick, ein beißend stinkendes Badezimmer, ein unbequemes Bett. Nichts davon entsprach unserer Buchung. Wir meldeten uns bei der Managerin per WhatsApp. Sie schrieb, sie prüfe das und meldete sich dann über eine Stunde lang nicht mehr. Wir waren müde, emotional aufgewühlt und einfach nur enttäuscht. Erst nachdem wir eine Stornierung über Booking in den Raum stellten, kam Bewegung in die Sache. Der Besitzer kam persönlich bei uns vorbei, sprach gut Deutsch und war freundlich sowie verständnisvoll. Er erklärte, das Ganze sei nur eine Notlösung für eine Nacht, da es Probleme mit unserem eigentlichen Zimmer gäbe. Er entschuldigte sich mehrfach und sagte selbst, dass die Managerin uns das hätte erklären müssen. Dieses Gespräch war einer der wenigen Momente, in denen wir uns ernst genommen fühlten. Uns wurde ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, das zwar größer, aber nicht besser war. Kein Doppelbett, drei Einzelbetten, keine bessere Ausstattung. Wir lehnten ab.

- Aurore (8/5): - L'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel. Le confort de la chambre. Le rooftop. L'emplacement idéal juste en face de l'entrée des pyramides du Phinx. J'ai été surclassée dans une plus grande chambre gratuitement. Le fait ne pas avoir profiter du petit déjeuner qui commence trop tard à mon goût par rapport aux ouvertures des sites d'intérêts. Ils ont été arrangeants en nous donnant de la nourriture à emporter mais qui n'était pas à la hauteur.

Llegamos tarde y en ese momento nos comentan que nos van a meter en otro alojamiento mejor, lo cierto es que está muy cerca, pero tuve que subir los 3 pisos para que me dijesen eso, volver a bajarlo para volver a subir a pie los 4 pisos del nuevo edificio (que da un poco la sensación que se va a caer, pero esto es típico en Egipto)
- CARLES REYNER (7/5): Bien para pasar un par de dias y visitar la zona de las piramides - Tenemos que valorar el alojamiento por el precio que pagamos. La ubicacion es excelente, estas justo enfrente de las piramides, pero el edificio donde esta el hotel y el entorno son muy deficientes. La habitacion del primer dia muy pequeña y sin lugar para colocar nuestro equipaje, pero nos cambiaron al dia siguiente a una habitacion amplia, con sus deficiencias (pero hemos de tener en cuenta el bajo precio que pagamos), y las camas eran comodisimas. La limpieza de la habitacion, correcta. Contratamos dos tours con ellos directamente, y fue estupendo; nuestro guia, que hablaba español, un experto y muy profesional. Nuestro vuelo llego con 5 horas de retraso, de madrugada, y en todo momento pudimos manterner el contacto por wp con la persona que estava en la recepcion del hotel, que nos esperava a nuestra llegada. Agradecemos la amabilidad de las personas que atienden el hotel. La zona donde esta el hotel. Llegamos de madrugada y nos encontramos con un edificio muy destartalado, tuvimos que subir hasta un tercer piso, sin ascensor, y parecia que alli no habia nada; hasta que no entramos en la recepcion y nos estaban esperando no estuvimos tranquilos.

La chambre propre et fonctionnelle, la literie extra. Le petit déjeuner, traditionnel et cuisiné maison, est juste parfait. Notre hôte Mahmud a été absolument adorable, très prévenant, à nos petits soins (comme tout le reste du personnel) sans être obséquieux. Il a été d'excellents conseils, nous organisant à la dernière minute toutes nos demandes, gérant même de loin le moindre dérangement que nous pouvions rencontrer. Il a une super connaissance des lieux et des gens qu'il nous conseille. Surtout faites lui confiance, vous ne serez pas déçus! rien

- Sjors (10/5): Beste verblijf van Egypte - Wat een enorm goed verblijf. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk, geeft goede tips voor de buurt en helpt waar nodig. De service kan niet beter. De kamer is erg schoon, niet gehorig (ondanks het drukke gebied) en de bedden zijn erg prettig. Het uitzicht op het dakterras en rooftop is magisch. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en het beste wat we in Egypte hebben gehad. Een beter verblijf konden wij ons niet wensen. Voor deze prijs ga je niets beters vinden. Een echte aanrader!

Il se trouve à 2 min de l’entrée de Gizeh pour visiter les pyramides et le sphinx. Il possède un roof top super sympa avec vue sur les pyramides et du spectacle son et lumière. Le petit déjeuner traditionnel est bon et il est servi des 7h30. Le personnel est super sympa il vous garde vos bagages pendant votre excursion lors de votre dernière nuit gratuitement. Et il peut vous proposer l’accès à une douche lors de votre retour à la récupération des bagages. C’est extrêmement appréciable. Merci encore. Top Rien
- Julia (10/5): Great location and welcoming team. - The property is located right by the Sphinx entrance to the pyramids, in the middle of lots of restaurants, shops, and other hotels. The room and balcony we had overlooked the pyramids as does the rooftop. 10/10 view! We also were able to plan a day trip through the hotel with a female guide to Saqara and Memphis, as well as the pyramids (to avoid all the touts). The hotel team was very welcoming and spoke great English. Also, served a delicious breakfast. All in all, would stay again. The WiFi was a little hit or miss. Sometimes it was strong, sometimes it would fade out. Only a problem when I was trying to get some work done.

- Martin (10/5): A lovely hotel with a great staff! - Excellent owner Mahmoud. Wonderful manager Esra. Excellent housekeeper Dua. Great all-around assistants Yusuf and Ahmed. If I wrote any name wrong I apologize! Because really they are wonder people and helpful in every way. The hotel room is comfortable and clean with all amenities. And even has a view of the great pyramids! I highly recommend Pyramids Top Inn. You will experience great Egyptian hospitality here. Everything was great!

The restaurant/bar upstairs is very expensive (4€ for a bad coffee). But you can still enjoy the view of the Pyramids from the terrace outside the restaurant.

The accommodation was cozy, comfortable and saturated with the beautiful, and rich culture of Egypt. All my senses were heightened and excited to be in this mesmerizing country. My stay was like a home away from home as the hotel served the best Egyptian breakfast, healthy and satisfying everyday. The staff was like family, so sweet, professional and kind from the time of my arrival to my departure, Mamo and the family crew gave me world class service and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Esra was AMAZING and just exceptional, hands down the best tour guide I have had internationally, she introduced me to the hidden gems of Egypt as we traversed through this marvelous ancient and historical city. I have truly fallen in Love with the country thanks to the loving and kind welcome of this warm and passionate group of people whom I now call FAMILY!! thank you guys so much EVERYTHING WAS PRICELESS!
