This beautiful private hotel has an incredible charm—elegant, intimate, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something unique. The staff were, without a doubt, the most welcoming and attentive we encountered on our trip. A special shoutout to Ben, the manager and bartender, who made our stay unforgettable. He was one of the warmest and most genuine people we met—going above and beyond by sharing a detailed list of local recommendations, taking the time to truly connect with guests, and crafting some of the best gin and tonics we’ve ever had. One of the unexpected highlights was attending a classical concert at the hotel—something we didn’t even know we needed, but ended up absolutely loving. It added such a special and authentic Viennese touch to our experience. The hotel also offers complimentary tickets to the Albertina Museum, which we gladly took advantage of and highly recommend. Our room was comfortable and beautifully designed, with an elegant, old-world feel that perfectly matched the atmosphere of Vienna. Since it was our honeymoon, we were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more memorable. The location is fantastic—within walking distance of nearly everything you’d want to see, making it easy to explore the city. If you’re looking for a romantic, charming, and truly personal hotel experience in Vienna, Hotel Beethoven Wien is an exceptional choice. We can’t recommend it highly enough especially for couples celebrating something special. To be honest, nothing. Room was great, service was even better. From classical concerts at the hotel to free tickets to the art museum. This is a private hotel that excels at what it does. If you are traveling as a couple, highly recommend.
• Maia (9/5): A gem in the hearth of Vienna! - This hotel is a real gem! Located in the heart of Vienna, close to all major sightseeing, yet quiet and unassuming. The rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious with all amenities (and excellent coffee you can make yourself in a French press). The bed is comfortable, linens are of good quality. We have not tried breakfast but the cakes and tea served in the afternoon for all guests were delicious. The highlight of the place are their staff - amazing group of young, professional and super friendly people. Dean, who greeted us at the reception, has been particularly helpful throughout our stay, meeting all our requests and answering questions promptly and with a big smile - big thanks ! There was nothing that I did not like.

• Lucie (10/5): Naprostá spokojenost. - Velmi jsem ocenila, že při objednávce 3 postelí na pokoji, jsme opravdu měli 3 stejně pohodlné postele. Žádná tzv. přistýlka, ale postel. Umístění hotelu je u Theater an der Wien - v centru a rádi se do něj budeme vracet. Snídaně byla naprosto dostačující a personál byl milý a vstřícný. Nic mne nenapadá.

La ubicación es inmejorable, cerca de las principales atracciones y muy bien comunicada por transporte público. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A nice touch is the complimentary afternoon service on the mezzanine level, offering coffee, tea, and cake alongside music and international newspapers. The hotel also hosts a complimentary classical music recital on Sundays (as far as I understood). There is a bar on the first floor, where we were offered complimentary drinks, and there was live music on one of the evenings. These amenities make it easy to relax at the hotel between outings. Booking directly through the hotel was straightforward, and the staff helped us select a room suited to our needs. It was also more cost-effective than booking through an online platform. Our room, located on the fourth floor, was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We chose one of the larger options available. Having stayed in Vienna multiple times, I found the price to be very reasonable compared to similar options. At checkout, we were asked to complete a questionnaire. While it remains to be seen whether the feedback is acted upon, I appreciated the thought and the follow-up e-mail acknowledging our comments.

The room was quiet and comfortable with unexpected additions like a bathroom floor warmer and seemingly soundproof bathroom door. The cleaning staff was exceptional and gave us a special Easter message. The tub/shower was not easy to use: temperature control, switching from tub to shower, and height of tub.

• tonya0770 (4/5): Good Location, Nice Hotel, But Far From Four Stars - I recently stayed at this hotel and, while the location is excellent and the property itself is nice, it does not live up to a four-star rating. Some rooms are extremely small—smaller than college dorms—and not very comfortable. The bedding was an issue: thick polyester blankets made it hard to sleep the first night, and although they brought a wool blanket the next day, the discomfort was already done. Slippers were not provided unless specifically requested. The staff seem inexperienced and untrained. An issue I encountered was never resolved. I was sent from person to person, all promising to escalate to the owner/director (who was off for the weekend), yet no one ever followed up. At checkout, the front desk asked if I had spoken to others about the problem, but instead of addressing it, the team simply passed me around. Despite pretending to care, nothing was actually done. Our room was booked and paid for two people, but when one guest could not travel due to an emergency, the hotel offered no partial refund or adjustment, only two complimentary drinks for booking directly through their website. This “solution” was The hotel seems to focus on doing things “their way,” offering standard perks without regard for guest needs. For the price of two nights, the experience was disappointing and far below the standard expected of a four-star property. Only consider this hotel if location is your top priority; do not expect four-star comfort, service, or flexibility.

• chrishR9341LP (10/5): A very comfortable, clean hotel with character - This hotel has plenty of character and the all the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is freshly served and varied, with a buffet including fruits, cheeses, meats, different breads and dairy options, pastries, yogurts, pickles all types of condiments and conserves, hot dishes, and Prosecco. There is help-yourself afternoon tea, coffee, cake and newspapers in the louge everyday, included in the room price, and a music recital on Sunday afternoons. The bar has a warm atmosphere and serves an extensive range of gin and whiskey. We had a deluxe room with high ceilings, and a rounded window alcove with a seating area, and space for an extra bed. It was very clean, bright and comfortable, with a view of the small streets, attractive theatre buildings and naschmarkt, and we had no noise distrubances. The bathroom had a generously sized walk-in shower with nice toiletries, and a separate Laven toilet/bidet. The hotel is located close to the Naschmarkt and State Opera House, and Cafe Sperl, and is about about 15 minutes walk to the Hofberg, galleries and museums, and another 5-10 minutes to the historic centre, Cathedral and main shopping area. The closest metro was Karlsplatz. I would recommend this hotel for families because they are so helpful and accomodating, but there were few children, and those who stayed were very well behaved. The atmosphere was generally peaceful and being located away from the main road behind the theatre, the room was quiet. There is a beautiful staircase and a lift. The room service options are limited, but there are many local food choices. The only thing I didn't like is that the toilets on the ground floor near the bar are in a unisex room, with separate cubicles for men and women and a shared handbasin, but I assume this is a matter of accomodating for space.

The rooms were beautiful, though a little small, as you more often than not find in Europe. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was very clean. We got tokens for a free drink since we booked directly, and we loved to pet the hotel dog, Leopold! Perfect location.

The room was lovely, comfortable bed, soft sheets, and the bathroom had a strong magnifying mirror which is a great touch. I personally loved the smell of the hand/body moisturizer. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful which made our stay easier and richer. They are really small things and would not deter me from staying again. The bedside lighting in our room was not useful for reading in bed and the bath towels were not very soft.

This botqiue hotel has a different theme on every floor dedicated to various elements of Vienna. This was both visually appealing and allowed us get to know the city deeper. The location is amazing, quick access to the Theater of Vienna, Museum quarter, and so much more. The staff was fantastic and helpful! Notable mentions include the breakfast staff, who had our coffee order memorized by the second morning. The bar staff was also incredibly fun and knowledgeable about their cocktails! Do yourself a favor and book at this family owned hotel :)
• 2stephenr (10/5): Excellent hotel in convenient location - Hotel Beethoven is located on a quiet street just one block from Naschmarkt and one block from Secession. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is extensive without being over the top, and it is served in pleasant, well-lit area on the mezzanine. There are multiple good restaurants nearby. It is a short 4-min walk to the pedestrian subway leading to the Karlsplatz subway station. Many of Vienna's landmarks are within a 10 to 15-min walk (Opera, Albertina, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Musikverein). This is my go-to hotel in Vienna.

• Hyeok (4/5): Don’t recommend - Not really We paid $2400 Australia dollars for 2rooms 2night because of the hotel name.($600 per room per night) It’s not worth it . I know that Vienna is a very popular city and expensive but I would not recommend this hotel for $600 per night. Go somewhere else.

• Andre (10/5): Very good stay overall. - Very good hotel. Cozy, friendly, charming. Breakfast was very good, lots of food to chose from and awesome service. Great location. 5min walk to a public transport. Rooms on the very top floor don't have the best of views as the windows are high and sloped.
